Knowledge of different effects of various organic materials on soil humic substance is important for both environmental safety and sustainable agriculture.A pot experiment was conducted at Jilin Agricultural Universit...Knowledge of different effects of various organic materials on soil humic substance is important for both environmental safety and sustainable agriculture.A pot experiment was conducted at Jilin Agricultural University,Jilin Province in northeast China to discover the influence of herb residue,animal excrement,woody residue,animal remnant on fulvic acid(FA) composition and structure using differential thermal analysis-thermogravimetric(DTA-TG),fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and elemental analysis.DTA-TG showed the range of peak temperature in the first exothermic reaction increased following the trend: CK〉herb residue〉animal excrement〉woody residue=animal remnant,and the most weight loss was observed in animal excrement.Moreover,the second exothermic reaction of CK-and animal excrement-FA was presented as double peaks,the order of weight loss in that area was animal remnant〉CK〉woody residue〉animal excrement〉herb residue.According to FTIR,herb residue displayed higher adsorption intensity at 2 950,1 420,1 240 and 1 030 cm-1,animal excrement was in reverse.At the same time,herb residue-and animal excrement-FA had an absorption peak at 1 720 cm-1,while other organic materials didn't have this peak.As elemental analysis showed,FA isolated from various treatments was significantly distinct.It was clearly shown from our results that FA composition and structure in amended soils may be affected in different ways and at various extents on dependence of the nature and origin of amendment.展开更多

In order to figure out the cable flexural rigidity influence on suspension bridges,a contrast model experiment is made:a chain cable model with no flexural rigidity and a wire cable model with some flexural rigidity.A...In order to figure out the cable flexural rigidity influence on suspension bridges,a contrast model experiment is made:a chain cable model with no flexural rigidity and a wire cable model with some flexural rigidity.And then,four finite element models of a same long-span suspension bridge with different cable element are set up to be analyzed.Both experimental and numerical simulation results show that,with the increase of the span and the decrease of sag-span ratio,the influence of the cable flexural rigidity is significant.The difference of nodes displacement reaches more than 10 cm in construction analysis,which will bring some trouble to the construction.And the difference of the maximum section edge normal stress may reach 15%,which may have an adverse impact onto the bridge.Therefore,considering the cable flexural rigidity is necessary on some analysis of suspension bridges.展开更多
In this paper,a new finite element and finite difference(FE-FD)method has been developed for anisotropic parabolic interface problems with a known moving interface using Cartesian meshes.In the spatial discretization,...In this paper,a new finite element and finite difference(FE-FD)method has been developed for anisotropic parabolic interface problems with a known moving interface using Cartesian meshes.In the spatial discretization,the standard P,FE discretization is applied so that the part of the coefficient matrix is symmetric positive definite,while near the interface,the maximum principle preserving immersed interface discretization is applied.In the time discretization,a modified Crank-Nicolson discretization is employed so that the hybrid FE-FD is stable and second order accurate.Correction terms are needed when the interface crosses grid lines.The moving interface is represented by the zero level set of a Lipschitz continuous function.Numerical experiments presented in this paper confirm second orderconvergence.展开更多
As we have stated in conclusion of PART IV of these series,here in PART V,we will show how to find the solution for the governing equation of heat conduction as it was setup in PART IV,given the boundary and initial c...As we have stated in conclusion of PART IV of these series,here in PART V,we will show how to find the solution for the governing equation of heat conduction as it was setup in PART IV,given the boundary and initial conditions for Eq.(156)by means of exact and numerical methods.The different sections provided in here as PART V is consisting of a discussion of the approximate solution of the problem using mathematical tools and divided into four other sections parts as illustrated in this part.First four section namely 2.0,3.0,4.0 and 5.0 present an analytical method of the solution of the general governing equation using the Fourier theory.Section 6.0 is considering interaction of laser energy with materials using very short laser pulses and introduces electron-phonon theory approach to solve the heat transfer problem of the interaction of ultra-short pulses with the matter.Section 7.0 describes heating analysis with time-dependent pulse intensity and where evaporation is considered as the exclusive phenomenon taking place during the ablation process.Section 8.0 presents the heating analysis with pulsed laser heating process by considering both Fourier conduction and electron-phonon kinetic theory approaches.Finally,Section 9.0 consists of a discussion of the approximate solution of the problem using the Finite Difference Method(FDM)and Finite Element Method(FEM),and presents the computer solutions developed.展开更多
