As the most important researches of the New Economic Geography, Poter's diamond model generalizes the internal mechanism of clusters, but the model has not given the microcosmic status of the factors of the clusters, therefore, it is significant to go deeper into the diamond model and the dissertation wishes to do some researches deeply.Based on the actuality of research, this paper surveys Porter's diamond model from the Evolutionary Economics, and combines the research of the field with the instance in China, then puts forward the diamond model of twin-screw and implements the model into traditional industrial clusters in Zheiiang province. Detailed explaining is as follows. The main innovations of the dissertation are as follows: (1) having taken the points of biology into economics, and developing the Evolutionary Economics creatively; (2) having proved the diamond model, put forward a twin-screw microcosmic model for the first time, and tried to study the dynamic and solid relationships of each factor in the diamond model, which is the most important innovation of the dissertation.展开更多

A numerical investigation was carried out to examine the role of micro-sized diamond powder filler on the on-axis tensile stiffness properties of the standard modulus T300 and the high modulus YS90A woven fabric compo...A numerical investigation was carried out to examine the role of micro-sized diamond powder filler on the on-axis tensile stiffness properties of the standard modulus T300 and the high modulus YS90A woven fabric composite plates by progressive damage modeling. Finite element modeling (FEM) results for the T300 composite with and without diamond powder predicted a specific case of fiber failure in all the plies showing the characteristics of brittle failure. Static tensile tests were carried out on the YS90A composite coupons containing no diamond powder (DP) and filled with 6% and 12% volume fractions of DP. A higher content of diamond powder in the coupons led to agglomeration. This induced stress concentrations and subsequently reduced the mechanical properties. FEM was carried out considering specimens with and without an induced stress concentration geometry in the YS90A coupons filled with DP. The results of the on-axis tensile tests indicated a delamination type of failure in both cases with additional fiber fracture in the Open Hole Tensile (OHT) coupons.展开更多
To mill fine and well-defined micro-dimpled structures,a machining manner of spiral trajectory tool reciprocating motion,where the tool repeats the process of‘feed milling–retract–cutting feed–feed milling again’...To mill fine and well-defined micro-dimpled structures,a machining manner of spiral trajectory tool reciprocating motion,where the tool repeats the process of‘feed milling–retract–cutting feed–feed milling again’along the spiral trajectory,was proposed.From the kinematics analysis,it is found that the machining quality of micro-dimpled structures is highly dependent on the machining trajectory using spiral trajectory tool reciprocating motion.To reveal this causation,simulation modelling and experimental studies were carried out.A simulation model was developed to quantitatively and qualitatively investigate the influence of the trajectory discretization strategies(constant-angle and constant-arc length)and parameters(discrete angle,discrete arc length,and pitch)on surface texture and residual height of micro-dimpled structures.Subsequently,micro-dimpled structures were milled under different trajectory discretization strategies and parameters with spiral trajectory tool reciprocating motion.A comprehensive comparison between the milled results and simulation analysis was made based on geometry accuracy,surface morphology and surface roughness of milled dimples.Meanwhile,the errors and factors affecting the above three aspects were analyzed.The results demonstrate both the feasibility of the established simulation model and the machining capability of this machining way in milling high-quality micro-dimpled structures.Spiral trajectory tool reciprocating motion provides a new machining way for milling micro-dimpled structures and micro-dimpled functional surfaces.And an appropriate machining trajectory can be generated based on the optimized trajectory parameters,thus contributing to the improvement of machining quality and efficiency.展开更多
The reassessment of ocean economy contribution of nations has become a new strategy for frontier states adjacent to the coastal region for the improvement of their position in the efficiency frontier curve. The contin...The reassessment of ocean economy contribution of nations has become a new strategy for frontier states adjacent to the coastal region for the improvement of their position in the efficiency frontier curve. The continuity of a coastal state to remain a leader in the production and efficiency frontier curve of modem day development will thus depend on their ability to sustainably develop their most strategic economic resource base such as the ocean economy. The major economic bases include sustainable fishing, offshore oil field developments, offshore biodiversity development and marine biotechnology, offshore mining of manganese nodules, offshore wind farm potentials, international shipping (marine transport) and adjoining corridor development, ship dry docking potentials, marine renewable energy as well as other potentials outlined in the definition of African Union strategy for the development of her blue economy. Adopting the regression analysis and analysis of variance analytical tools, the study found that about 90% association exist between the GDP (gross domestic product) of the West African state (Nigeria) and her GDP. It equally found that offshore oil and gas energy sector more significantly impact on the GDP of Nigeria than other ocean economy business clusters. The experimental research and theoretical analysis were carried out on the worn tip in terms of wear rate, wear mechanism and the effect of the tip wear on micro machining process. The wear rate was calculated as 1.7(10~10mm 3/(N·m) by using a theoretical model combined with the experimental results. Through an integration of an AFM observation on the worn tip features with the FEM simulation of the stress distribution, in addition to the unit cutting force calculation on the AFM diamond tip, the wear mechanism of the AFM diamond tip was concluded as mainly chemical wear, and the wear process was also elaborated as well.展开更多
