Product customization has been recognized as an effective means to implement mass cus-tomization (MC). A new theory and method for MC-oriented evolutionary design of configuration product is presented based on the study of developing law of evolutionary design in integrated envi-ronment, which focuses on the innovation and reuse properties of configuration product. The key technologies for general requirement modeling in quick response to customer requirement, multi-level stepwise configuration optimization driven by customer requirement and evolutionary deduction of product variable structure based on configuration association are thoroughly investigated. The suc-cessful application of the presented method in the development of real-life products demonstrates its utility, flexibility and robusticity. 展开更多

Case retrieval(CR) is critically an important part of case-based design. However few studies attempt to research CR for customer-driven design and analyze the eect of other production factors besides similarity computation. This paper proposes a new CR method for customer-driven design,and requirement-weighting analysis. Fuzzy set theory are integrated into CR process to deal with the fuzzy and imprecision customer requirements. So the proposed method is called weighted fuzzy case retrieval(WFCR). Furthermore,similar case evaluation is added into CR process to demonstrate that the best case is selected not only on the basis of satisifaction for the given requriements,but also on the degree of preference over other cases according to multiple evaluation criteria. Meanwhile,WFCR system is developed and applied to power transformer design to validate its scientificity and practicality. Finally,the paper statistically validated the supriority of WFCR by comparing it with traditional fuzzy case retrieval methods(FCRs),and the comparison indicates that WFCR is more accurate than other FCRs. 展开更多

Background:As the market demands change,SMEs(small and medium-sized enterprises)have long faced many design issues,including high costs,lengthy cycles,and insufficient innovation.These issues are especially noticeable in the domain of cosmetic packaging design.Objective:To explore innovative product family modeling methods and configuration design processes to improve the efficiency of enterprise cosmetic packaging design and develop the design for mass customization.Methods:To accomplish this objective,the basic-element theory has been introduced and applied to the design and development system of the product family.Results:By examining the mapping relationships between the demand domain,functional domain,technology domain,and structure domain,four interrelated models have been developed,including the demand model,functional model,technology model,and structure model.Together,these models form the mechanism and methodology of product family modeling,specifically for cosmetic packaging design.Through an analysis of a case study on men’s cosmetic packaging design,the feasibility of the proposed product family modeling technology has been demonstrated in terms of customized cosmetic packaging design,and the design efficiency has been enhanced.Conclusion:The product family modeling technology employs a formalized element as a module configuration design language,permeating throughout the entire development cycle of cosmetic packaging design,thus facilitating a structured and modularized configuration design process for the product family system.The application of the basic-element principle in product family modeling technology contributes to the enrichment of the research field surrounding cosmetic packaging product family configuration design,while also providing valuable methods and references for enterprises aiming to elevate the efficiency of cosmetic packaging design for the mass customization product model. 展开更多

The foundations of MC production are standardization, seriation and normality of production, guiding thought of Concurrent Engineering (CE), ap plication of CAD/CAM technology and etc. And design methods of MC products are d esign for product family, modular design, parameterization CAD, variant design, design for manufacturing (DFM) and design by customers. Design for product famil y is a method that first to design a basic form of the product, and then to with draw variant parameters to become a variable product model, makes a family or a series of product design at the same time. Modular design is that based on produ ct function analysis of different function or the same function but different sp ecification within a certain scope, divides and designs out a series of function modular, and through selection and combination of the modular can make up diffe rent products. Parameterization CAD is a CAD method that has function of dimensi on drive. Variant design is a method that under circumstance of keeping principl e constant and construction similar or likeness, properly adjusts part of constr uction and design parameters to adapt design demands. DFM demands the designer t o consider problems that will appear in manufacture in the stage of design, and to avoid them through optimal design. And design by customers is guiding custome rs to design within the scope of production capacity of enterprise and optional items that enterprise has designed to satisfy their requirements of form, functi on and price. Among them modular design, parameterization CAD and variant design are key technology of design methods of MC products. Summary: Preoperative planning of corrective osteotomy with traditional radiography has limitations in regards to determining the ideal osteotomy location and orientation in three-dimensional femoral de- formities. Though a successful operation can be planned preoperatively, intraoperative contingencies might adhere to the procedural plan in the performance of operation. To efficiently perform a planned procedure, proposed is a design to implement three-dimensional reconstruction photography, based on computer-tomography (CT) scan. A custom-made guide was designed to navigate the osteotomy as planned, and additionally, a personalized intramedullary nail was used for fixation after osteotomy. Three-dimensional (3D) photography of deformed femur was established based on the CT dataset and transferred into 3D photography processing software for further planning. Osteotomy planes were de- signed and adjusted at deformity sites to correct the 3D deformities. The methodology of a custom-made osteotomy guide was introduced in femoral corrective osteotomy, for the first time, to navigate the op- eration as planned. After the virtual osteotomy and reduction of bone segments, the parameters of a custom-made intramedullary nail were measured for manufacturing. Findings Virtual operation in computer shows complete correction of the 3D deformity. The osteotomy guide, obtained by rapid-prototyping techniques, navigates mimicking surgery on rapid-prototyping model of the involved femur as planned. Internal fixation was achieved using the custom-made intramedullary nail. Interpreta- tion three-dimensional visualization introduces an advantage in preoperative planning for corrective os- teotomy of 3D femoral deformity, and the custom-made osteotomy guide is crucial to realize such a de- liberate plan during the actual procedures. The internal fixator, such as an intramedullary nail, can be modified or personalized for fixation in unique cases. 展开更多

The contradiction between manufacturing costs and customer demand of mechatronic products can be balanced by configuration design. The article proposes a customer-oriented configuration model for modular mechatronic products which makes up the shortfall in meeting customer needs for the traditional configuration de- sign mode. The elements of the modular mechatronic products configuration model including module, module connection and configuration knowledge are analyzed. And a formal representation method for configuration model elements combining with their characteristics is given. Based on the above research, an abstract configuration model of modular mechatronic products is designed. Finally, an industrial robot is used as an application exam- ple to build a customer-oriented industrial robot configuration model. 展开更多

Innovative Product Design Based on Customer Requirement Weight Calculation Model

In the processes of product innovation and design, it is important for the designers to find and capture customer's focus through customer requirement weight calculation and ranking. Based on the fuzzy set theory and Euclidean space distance, this paper puts forward a method for customer requirement weight calculation called Euclidean space distances weighting ranking method. This method is used in the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process that satisfies the additive consistent fuzzy matrix. A model for the weight calculation steps is constructed; meanwhile, a product innovation design module on the basis of the customer requirement weight calculation model is developed. Finally, combined with the instance of titanium sponge production, the customer requirement weight calculation model is validated. By the innovation design module, the structure of the titanium sponge reactor has been improved and made innovative. 展开更多

为了解决在定制衣柜产品设计研发过程中存在的用户需求和优先级模糊、功能设计逻辑不明确、功能定制难以满足用户个性化需求等问题,为定制衣柜的功能设计找到标准化、定量化设计方法,以构建更高效的智能化设计流程。通过基于Kano-AHP-QF... 为了解决在定制衣柜产品设计研发过程中存在的用户需求和优先级模糊、功能设计逻辑不明确、功能定制难以满足用户个性化需求等问题,为定制衣柜的功能设计找到标准化、定量化设计方法,以构建更高效的智能化设计流程。通过基于Kano-AHP-QFD的用户需求获取和量化分析方法,打通用户需求的定量化赋权和转化路径。通过入户调研及亲和图法提炼和归类用户需求信息,利用Kano模型确定用户需求的类别及权重;应用层次分析法(AHP)得出用户需求指标的层内权重;应用质量功能配置理论(QFD)将已量化的用户需求数据转化为产品的功能设计特征,结合犹豫模糊语言信息系统理论提升专家评价精度。研究得出定制衣柜16项典型用户需求及权重,以及32项产品工程特性及权重,提出一种通过输入用户个性化需求以进行产品功能权重调节的赋权算法。具体为将赋权为0的“删除功能”和赋权为1的“必选功能”除外,其他功能采用基础权重与用户权重比例为6∶4的赋权比例,再进行综合排名确定功能权重及优先级顺序。本方法通过科学化、定量化的手段结合用户需求进行定制衣柜的功能设计决策,提高了用户需求转化精度,实现了定制衣柜产品功能的标准化、流程化设计,为定制衣柜的生成式设计研究奠定了理论基础。 展开更多
