Urban shrinkage is becoming an increasingly common phenomenon in China.The research focus has been the identification,origin,and pattern of shrinking cities.Nevertheless,attention has also been paid to the problems as...Urban shrinkage is becoming an increasingly common phenomenon in China.The research focus has been the identification,origin,and pattern of shrinking cities.Nevertheless,attention has also been paid to the problems associated with urban shrinkage.The present study examines one typical shrinking city in China,specifically the Yichun District in Yichun City.To explore the matching relationship between residential and commercial spaces,this study analyzes supply and demand data,electricity consumption data and multi-source points of interest(POI)of residents.The results showed that the occupancy rate is not reduced in the context of urban shrinkage,and that the supply level of various commercial facilities is not in decline.Apart from leisure and entertainment facilities,the supply levels of catering,shopping and supporting facilities for life were noted to have improved.In reference to urban shrinkage,the matching relationship between residential and commercial space in the 5-min,10-min,and 15-min living circles mainly shifted to a highlevel equilibrium.The matching relationships between residential space and different types of commercial spaces change in both direction and magnitude.From the perspective of supply and demand,the spatial and temporal changes in the relationship relate to multiple factors,such as the level of economic development,the buiding age pattern,public transportation accessibility,aging,and residents’willingness to move.This study provides relevant data for managing urban shrinkage.It also helps improve the relationships between residential and commercial spaces and works to optimize the layout and structure of functional urban spaces.展开更多

A legal regime for property rights of spacecraft in China is of great significance for expanding new-types of international collaboration and promoting commercial space development in China.China has so far yet to est...A legal regime for property rights of spacecraft in China is of great significance for expanding new-types of international collaboration and promoting commercial space development in China.China has so far yet to establish the relevant legal regime that governs the property rights of spacecraft,this has therefore resulted in the lack of rule and fundamental law with respect to domestic commercial space development and international space collaboration.In contrast,under legislation,the legal regime of property right registration for commercial spacecraft was introduced by Congress in the United States of America(the U.S.A.)in 1984.This effectively promoted the commercial space development in the U.S.A.Similarly,the Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China(effective as from January 1,2021)has specified a legal regime of property right registration for aircraft and ships thereby having effectuated the flourishing development of China’s aviation and maritime industries.Constructing a legal regime for the property rights of spacecraft in China is meant to include but not be limited to the establishment of registration regime of property rights,a distinct regime of ownership,and a registration regime for mortgage and financial leasing in connection with spacecraft.It is recommended that establishment of the registration and exchange centers for property rights of spacecraft be considered in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai.These would operate as centers managing the property right registration and transaction settlement associated with spacecraft along with their effective payloads so as to create the formation of a transaction mechanism for domestic spacecraft and their effective payload applications,thus providing a legal basis for activities such as financing,investment and transfer of ownership,involving spacecraft developed in China.This would drive China’s aerospace industry to be better integrated with the global aerospace market.Formation of a registration regime for property rights of spacecraft in China is advised to take into account a variety of legislation modus such as mandatory registration,optional registration,a mechanism taking effect as a result of registration or against a third party as a result of registration or with a coverage of certain crucial legislative aspects specifically the registration body,registration subject,registration type,validity of registration,types of right,etc.展开更多

However, commercial memories suffer severe reliability problems in radiation environments. This paper studies the low-density parity-check(LDPC) coding scheme for improving the reliability of multi-level-cell(MLC) NAND Flash memory in radiation environments. Firstly, based on existing physical experiment works, we introduce a new error model for heavyion irradiations; secondly, we explore the optimization of writing voltage allocation to maximize the capacity of the storage channel; thirdly, we design the degree distribution of LDPC codes that is specially suitable for the proposed model; finally, we propose a joint detection-decoding scheme based on LDPC codes, which estimates the storage channel state and executes an adaptive log-likelihood ratio(LLR) calculation to achieve better performance. Simulation results show that, compared with the conventional LDPC coding scheme, the proposed scheme may almost double the lifetime of the MLC NAND Flash memory in radiation environments.展开更多
This study examines the notion of placeness of city center commercial plazas within the context of globalization.Contemporary improvements of commercial public spaces aim to globalize the city image at the expense of ...This study examines the notion of placeness of city center commercial plazas within the context of globalization.Contemporary improvements of commercial public spaces aim to globalize the city image at the expense of local identity and regional characteristics.Although recognized as a major landmark that reflects the globalized image of Nanjing City,Deji Plaza cannot establish a unique sense of place and identity for the community.By adopting a humanist perspective,this study emphasizes peopled experience,perception,and emotional needs of the place as crucial dimensions for improving the relationship between people and commercial spaces.A structural equation model is used to develop a measurement system that evaluates the interaction between the different dimensions of placeness.Findings indicate that optimized locations and environmental characteristics of city center commercial plazas may enhance their image but transform them into consumption spaces for tourists rather than public places for the local community.The results of this study deepen the current understanding and assessment tools of placeness in city commercial public spaces,which are relevant to Nanjing City and similar contexts.展开更多
There seems to be a paucity in extant literature that assesses the relationship between Safety Management Systems (SMS) and High Reliability Theory (HRT) behavior process of mindful organizing (MO) among aerospaceorga...There seems to be a paucity in extant literature that assesses the relationship between Safety Management Systems (SMS) and High Reliability Theory (HRT) behavior process of mindful organizing (MO) among aerospaceorganizations. There could be benefits for organizational safety by exploring this relationship in high-reliabilityorganizations (HROs) like the aerospace industry. Using a modified Safety Organizing Scale (SOS) by Vogus andSutcliffe (2007) and a validated SMS scale, the relationship between SMS and MO was measured. The perceptionsof a cross-section of respondents from commercial airlines with SMS and commercial space licensees without SMSin the United States (U.S.) was assessed. A four-factor model of MO had acceptable fit. A model showing the relationship between SMS and MO had good fit and showed a high significant strength of relationship (r = 0.82,p = 0.000) with a big effect size. There were also significant differences in mean responses among managementpersonnel and non-management personnel on the MO factor “sensitivity to operations” and the result suggestsmanagers were better at identifying personnel with skills and knowledge to ensure safer task accomplishmentthan non-management personnel. The study results suggest that the SMS requirements for commercial airlines inthe U.S. can enrich the identification and understanding of MO factors and it may be beneficial for the commercial space industry to formally adopt SMS. Future research studies may include direct comparisons in multipleaerospace organizations using a larger sample size to determine the overall understanding of MO factors and howit affects SMS.展开更多

文摘A legal regime for property rights of spacecraft in China is of great significance for expanding new-types of international collaboration and promoting commercial space development in China.China has so far yet to establish the relevant legal regime that governs the property rights of spacecraft,this has therefore resulted in the lack of rule and fundamental law with respect to domestic commercial space development and international space collaboration.In contrast,under legislation,the legal regime of property right registration for commercial spacecraft was introduced by Congress in the United States of America(the U.S.A.)in 1984.This effectively promoted the commercial space development in the U.S.A.Similarly,the Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China(effective as from January 1,2021)has specified a legal regime of property right registration for aircraft and ships thereby having effectuated the flourishing development of China’s aviation and maritime industries.Constructing a legal regime for the property rights of spacecraft in China is meant to include but not be limited to the establishment of registration regime of property rights,a distinct regime of ownership,and a registration regime for mortgage and financial leasing in connection with spacecraft.It is recommended that establishment of the registration and exchange centers for property rights of spacecraft be considered in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai.These would operate as centers managing the property right registration and transaction settlement associated with spacecraft along with their effective payloads so as to create the formation of a transaction mechanism for domestic spacecraft and their effective payload applications,thus providing a legal basis for activities such as financing,investment and transfer of ownership,involving spacecraft developed in China.This would drive China’s aerospace industry to be better integrated with the global aerospace market.Formation of a registration regime for property rights of spacecraft in China is advised to take into account a variety of legislation modus such as mandatory registration,optional registration,a mechanism taking effect as a result of registration or against a third party as a result of registration or with a coverage of certain crucial legislative aspects specifically the registration body,registration subject,registration type,validity of registration,types of right,etc.
文摘Based on the concept of DIY, this paper demonstrates the essential potential of DIY manufacturing technology in the application of space equipment. According to the future space technology development trends, the future spacecraft DIY idea and system standard are proposed. The standardized, modularized and serialized micro/nano-satellite DIY products are introduced. Finally, a commercial remote sensing satellite system based on spacecraft DIY is designed and its application prospect is analyzed.
文摘1 Introduction The explosive growth of the global commercial space industry has brought low-Earth orbit(LEO)satellite constellation programs,such as Starlink and Qianfan,to a pivotal stage in the evolution of space development toward commercialization.1 Traditional space missions have stringent requirements for mission risk and payload mass,while commercial satellite design emphasizes economic viability.2 This systemic transformation has not only redefined the operational framework of aerospace engineering but also opened critical pathways for the spatial application of emerging photovoltaic technologies.Perovskite solar cells(PSCs),endowed with high specific power and cost-effectiveness,have demonstrated competitive potential against silicon-based counterparts in terrestrial applications.3 Crucially,their application prospects are particularly promising in the space domain,where device mass,power density,and cost efficiency are critical design constraints.

文摘Utilizing commercial off-the-shelf(COTS) components in satellites has received much attention due to the low cost. However, commercial memories suffer severe reliability problems in radiation environments. This paper studies the low-density parity-check(LDPC) coding scheme for improving the reliability of multi-level-cell(MLC) NAND Flash memory in radiation environments. Firstly, based on existing physical experiment works, we introduce a new error model for heavyion irradiations; secondly, we explore the optimization of writing voltage allocation to maximize the capacity of the storage channel; thirdly, we design the degree distribution of LDPC codes that is specially suitable for the proposed model; finally, we propose a joint detection-decoding scheme based on LDPC codes, which estimates the storage channel state and executes an adaptive log-likelihood ratio(LLR) calculation to achieve better performance. Simulation results show that, compared with the conventional LDPC coding scheme, the proposed scheme may almost double the lifetime of the MLC NAND Flash memory in radiation environments.

文摘This study examines the notion of placeness of city center commercial plazas within the context of globalization.Contemporary improvements of commercial public spaces aim to globalize the city image at the expense of local identity and regional characteristics.Although recognized as a major landmark that reflects the globalized image of Nanjing City,Deji Plaza cannot establish a unique sense of place and identity for the community.By adopting a humanist perspective,this study emphasizes peopled experience,perception,and emotional needs of the place as crucial dimensions for improving the relationship between people and commercial spaces.A structural equation model is used to develop a measurement system that evaluates the interaction between the different dimensions of placeness.Findings indicate that optimized locations and environmental characteristics of city center commercial plazas may enhance their image but transform them into consumption spaces for tourists rather than public places for the local community.The results of this study deepen the current understanding and assessment tools of placeness in city commercial public spaces,which are relevant to Nanjing City and similar contexts.
文摘There seems to be a paucity in extant literature that assesses the relationship between Safety Management Systems (SMS) and High Reliability Theory (HRT) behavior process of mindful organizing (MO) among aerospaceorganizations. There could be benefits for organizational safety by exploring this relationship in high-reliabilityorganizations (HROs) like the aerospace industry. Using a modified Safety Organizing Scale (SOS) by Vogus andSutcliffe (2007) and a validated SMS scale, the relationship between SMS and MO was measured. The perceptionsof a cross-section of respondents from commercial airlines with SMS and commercial space licensees without SMSin the United States (U.S.) was assessed. A four-factor model of MO had acceptable fit. A model showing the relationship between SMS and MO had good fit and showed a high significant strength of relationship (r = 0.82,p = 0.000) with a big effect size. There were also significant differences in mean responses among managementpersonnel and non-management personnel on the MO factor “sensitivity to operations” and the result suggestsmanagers were better at identifying personnel with skills and knowledge to ensure safer task accomplishmentthan non-management personnel. The study results suggest that the SMS requirements for commercial airlines inthe U.S. can enrich the identification and understanding of MO factors and it may be beneficial for the commercial space industry to formally adopt SMS. Future research studies may include direct comparisons in multipleaerospace organizations using a larger sample size to determine the overall understanding of MO factors and howit affects SMS.
