文摘As a traditional medicinal and edible herb,Danggui(Angelicae Sinensis Radix)exhibits pharmacological activities closely associated with its characteristic chemical components, such as volatile oils(e.g.,ligustilide),organic acids(e.g.,ferulic acid),and polysaccharides. It demonstrates a wide range of pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection, neuroprotective functions, blood glucose regulation, antitumor activity, and hematopoietic promotion.Clinically,Danggui(Angelicae Sinensis Radix)is often combined with other Chinese herbs to treat immune-related disorders, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative conditions, diabetes, and cancer.Although existing studies have identified some active components, the mechanisms and pharmacological roles of many others remain underexplored.Future research should focus on systematically analyzing diverse active constituents such as flavonoids, coumarins, amino acids, bioactive peptides, trace elements, and vitamins.Integrating multiomics and molecular docking technologies will help elucidate key targets and molecular mechanisms underlying its anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,and immunomodulatory effects, thereby facilitating the development of precise therapies based on multicomponent synergy.Additionally,in-depth investigation of herb-pairing effects and establishment of scientific quality control standards are essential to expand clinical applications and enhance the medicinal value of this traditional herb.
文摘BACKGROUND Pyogenic liver abscess(PLA)is a prevalent liver infection with gradual onset and severe symptoms, including fever, abdominal pain, jaundice, and vomiting.Complications like sepsis or toxic shock can also occur.AIM To investigate the clinical value of early ultrasound-guided percutaneous drainage(PCD)in PLA patients, specifically those with non-liquefied abscesses, and evaluate the feasibility of early intervention.METHODS This retrospective analysis included 143 patients with PLA who were admitted to the Department of General Surgery between January 2018 and March 2023.All patients underwent ultrasound-guided PCD.Based on the liquefaction status of the abscess, patients were divided into two groups:Liquefied group and nonliquefied group.Clinical outcomes, including puncture success rate, puncture duration, length of hospital stay, time to fever resolution, abscess shrinkage rate, and complication rates, were compared between the two groups.RESULTS The puncture success rate for all patients was 99.3%,with a postoperative complication rate of 5.59%,and no intraoperative deaths occurred.Compared to the liquefied group, the non-liquefied group had significantly shorter hospital stays(3.9±1.8 days vs 5.1±2.7 days),faster fever resolution(2.4±1.1 days vs 4.9±2.2 days),and quicker abscess shrinkage(>50%)(4.7±1.5 days vs 8.6±3.3 days)(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in puncture success rates or complication rates between the two groups.CONCLUSION Early ultrasound-guided PCD can be safely and effectively performed in PLA,even when the abscess is not fully liquefied or is non-liquefied,supporting the clinical feasibility of early intervention.
文摘Objective: To analyze the clinical effects of the patient participation health model in the health management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: A total of 124 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were randomly assigned to either the control group (64 patients) or the intervention group (60 patients). Patients in the control group received routine health management, while those in the intervention group were managed using a patient-participation health model with progressive, stage-based interventions. Outcomes were assessed based on blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors. Adverse reactions during health management were closely monitored in both groups. Results: Patients in the intervention group showed significantly better outcomes in blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors compared to the control group. Conclusion: The patient participation health model demonstrated significant clinical value, effectively enhancing self-management abilities, improving glycemic control, and increasing disease awareness. This model is recommended for widespread adoption in the health management of type 2 diabetes to achieve better therapeutic outcomes and improve patient quality of life.

文摘Biofeedback is a behavioral intervention technology based on psychophysiology, which uses various electronic devices to collect the physiological activities of individuals in real time and provides them to themselves through various ways,so that people can actively change their own physiological changes when they perceive the changes in some physiological functions of their own,and consciously control the physiological functions of various aspects of the autonomic nervous system within a fixed range. It can play a role in improving physical health status, preventing and treating some somatic diseases.Studies have shown that biofeedback relaxation training can make the training subjects learn to regulate their own physiological functions and psychological activities, improve negative emotional states such as depression and anxiety by regulating the body function, and can also be used to assist in the treatment of other clinical diseases. As a new psychological intervention, biofeedback relaxation training has great development potential and can be better applied to the prevention and treatment of physical and mental diseases in the general population in the future.
文摘Concerns about air quality in dental clinics where aerosol generation during procedures poses significant health risks, have prompted investigations on advanced disinfection technologies. This editorial describes the strengths and limitations of ventilation and aerosol control measures in dental offices, especially with respect to the use of graphene nanocomposites. The potential of graphene nanocomposites as an innovative solution to aerosol-associated health risks is examined in this review due to the unique properties of graphene(e.g.,high con-ductivity,mechanical strength, and antimicrobial activity). These properties have produced promising results in various fields, but the application of graphene in dentistry remains unexplored. The recent study by Ju et al which was published in World Journal of Clinical Cases evaluated the effectiveness of graphene-based air disinfection systems in dental clinics. The study demonstrated that graphene-based disinfection techniques produced significant reductions in suspended particulate matter and bacterial colony counts, when co-mpared with traditional methods.Despite these positive results, challenges such as material saturation, frequency of filter replacement, and associated costs must be addressed before widespread adoption of graphene-based disinfection techniques in clinical practice. Therefore, there is need for further research on material structure optimization,long-term safety evaluations, and broader clinical applications,in order to maximize their positive impact on public health.
