Objective:To describe the status quo of humanistic care ability,the knowledge-attitude-practice of Patient Safety and professional commitment among Undergraduate Nursing Students in clinical practice,and to determine ...Objective:To describe the status quo of humanistic care ability,the knowledge-attitude-practice of Patient Safety and professional commitment among Undergraduate Nursing Students in clinical practice,and to determine the effects of professional commitment and patient safety knowledge-attitude-practice on humanistic care ability.Methods:Two hundred and thirty-two undergraduate nursing students in clinical practice were investigated with the general questionnaire,Caring Ability Inventory(CAI),Patients Safety knowledge-attitude-practice(KAP)Questionnaire and the Nursing Professional Commitment Scale.Results:The score of humanistic care ability of nursing undergraduates was 185.19±20.95,patients safety KAP score was 106.94±11.62,professional commitment score was 74.93±10.44.Undergraduate nursing students’humanistic care ability were positively correlated with professional commitment and patients safety KAP(P<0.05).Multiple Linear regression analysis showed that professional commitment,patient safety KAP entered the humane care equation(F=24.051,P<0.001),and explained 39.1%of the total variation in humane care.Intermediate effect analysis shows that patient safety played a partial mediating role in professional commitment and humane care.Conclusion:The professional commitment and patient safety KAP of undergraduate nursing students were positively related to their humanistic care ability.Improving the professional commitment and knowledge and patients safety KAP of nursing students can strengthen their humanistic care ability to provide high-quality nursing for patients.展开更多

Methods: a total of 92 patients admitted in our hospital from March 2020 to March 2021 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, control group and observation group, with 46 cases in each group. Among them, the nursing intervention selected by the patients in the control group was basic health intervention, and the nursing intervention selected by the patients in the observation group was collaborative nursing intervention based on the control group. After a period of intervention, the self-nursing ability, pulmonary ventilation function and prognosis were analyzed. Results: (1) Self-nursing ability: before intervention, there was no significant difference in self-nursing ability between the two groups, and there was no significant difference between the two groups, P > 0.05;After the intervention, according to the score of ESCA scale (self-nursing skills, self-nursing responsibility, self-concept and self-nursing knowledge), the data of the observation group and the control group increased significantly after the intervention, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). (2) Pulmonary ventilation function: before the intervention, the difference between the two groups was not very obvious, and there was no statistical significance, P > 0.05. Background:Humanistic care ability is the core of nursing work.Improving humanistic care ability can improve patient satisfaction and the development of a nurse-patient relationships.Objective:To understand the curren...Background:Humanistic care ability is the core of nursing work.Improving humanistic care ability can improve patient satisfaction and the development of a nurse-patient relationships.Objective:To understand the current situation of humanistic care ability of first-year nursing students at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the post-pandemic,and analyze its influencing factors.Methods:The Caring Ability Inventory scale(CAI)is used to survey 343 first-year nursing students.Descriptive analysis,t-test,analysis of variance,and multiple linear regression were used for data analysis.At the same time,the humanistic care ability of first-year nursing students before and after the COVID-19 was compared.Results:The average score of humanistic care ability of first-year nursing students is 173.23±11.288.Through multiple linear regression analysis,whether to hold a position has an impact on the humanistic care ability of nursing students after the COVID-19(P<0.05).Before and after the COVID-19,there were significant differences in total score and each dimension of humanistic care ability of first-year nursing students(P<0.001).Conclusion:The CAI score of the surveyed nursing students is at an intermediate level.In the post-pandemic,the courage dimension of nursing students has improved significantly.But the level of humanistic care ability still needs to be improved.Therefore,in the teaching process,a variety of teaching methods could be applied to improve nursing students'sense of responsibility,understanding and patience with humanistic care,so as to improve their humanistic care ability.展开更多
Objective:The institutionalization of care for patients with dementia is becoming a trend.Understanding the burden on employed caregivers and exploring associated factors are of great importance in practice.Therefore,...Objective:The institutionalization of care for patients with dementia is becoming a trend.Understanding the burden on employed caregivers and exploring associated factors are of great importance in practice.Therefore,this study aimed to examine the relationship between basic attributes,caring ability,and caregiver burden in employed caregivers practicing in nursing homes.Methods:This cross-sectional study included 541 employed caregivers in 11 four-star nursing homes in Zhejiang Province from April to December 2022.Caregiver burden was assessed using the Zarit Burden Interview(ZBI).Demographic characteristics of participants,characteristics of the older patients with dementia,caring characteristics,training in dementia care,and caring abilities were collected for analysis of influencing factors.A hierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted to explore the factors influencing the burden on employed caregivers in nursing homes.Results:The ZBI score of employed caregivers in nursing homes was 40.42±10.18,representing a moderate caregiver burden.Factors such as age(U=27.82,P<0.001),residence(U=7.89,P<0.001),educational level(H=55.81,P<0.001),self-care of older patients with dementia(H=85.21,P<0.001),daily care hours(H=73.25,P<0.001),number of older people with dementia cared for(H=14.56,P<0.012)and training in dementia care(U=-9.43,P<0.001)were significantly associated with caregiver burden.Caring ability was negatively associated with caregiver burden(r=-0.22,P<0.01).Furthermore,after controlling for demographic characteristics,the characteristics of older people with dementia,caring characteristics,training in dementia care,and caring ability explained 8.5%,5.8%,and 4.8%of the caregiver burden,respectively.Conclusion:The burden of employed caregivers on patients with dementia in nursing homes can be attributed to various factors.We recommend tailored interventions,such as dementia care training and reviewing the number and duration of hours worked to reduce the burden experienced by caregivers.展开更多
Objectives:lnterprofessional collaboration in the training of nursing and psychology students helps provide students of both disciplines with the ability and competences they need to best attend to their patients.This...Objectives:lnterprofessional collaboration in the training of nursing and psychology students helps provide students of both disciplines with the ability and competences they need to best attend to their patients.This study implemented and analyzed a method for developing the competences of each discipline in a scenario of joint clinical simulation that incorporates mental and physical health simultaneously,and measured the caring ability of the participating students.Methods:Participants took a self-applied survey measuring their own caring ability.After,a clinical simulation was performed where nursing students performed clinical interviews on psychology students,who acted as standardized patients.Caring abilities were measured in the nursing students,and the psychology students implemented an intervention service measuring caring ability and brief-debrief simulation by coaching to nursing students.Results:The results indicated that the self-applied questionnaire of caring ability resulted in scores significantly higher than what was measured by observers.Conclusions:The results contribute to the development of protocols,training and collaborative work practices in interprofessional education,which allow the scaling of these competences.展开更多
