Their excellent gate tunability in electronic properties also enables hybrid devices combining the functionality of memory devices and transistors, with the possibility of realizing large-scale memristive crossbar arrays with high integration density. To facilitate the use of 2D materials in practical memristor applications, scalable synthesis of 2D materials with high electronic quality is critical. In addition, low-temperature integration for complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) back-end-of-line (BEOL) integration is important for embedded memory applications. Solution-based exfoliation has been actively explored as a facile, cost-effective method for the mass production and low-temperature integration of 2D materials. However, the films produced from the resulting 2D nanosheet dispersions exhibited poor electrical properties in the early stages of research, thereby hindering their use in electronic devices. Recent progress in the exfoliation process and post-processing has led to significant improvements in the electronic performance of solution-processed 2D materials, driving increased adoption of these materials in memristor research. In this review article, we provide a thorough overview of the progress and current status of memristive devices utilizing solution-processed 2D resistive switching layers. We begin by introducing the electrical characteristics and resistive switching mechanisms of memristors fabricated with conventional materials to lay the groundwork for understanding memristive behavior in 2D materials. Representative solution-based exfoliation and film formation techniques are also introduced, emphasizing the benefits of these approaches for obtaining scalable 2D material films compared to conventional methods such as mechanical exfoliation and chemical vapor deposition. Finally, we explore the electrical characteristics, resistive switching mechanisms, and applications of solution-processed 2D memristive devices, discussing their advantages and remaining challenges.展开更多

文摘Large-area two-dimensional(2D)materials,such as graphene,MoS_(2),WS_(2),h-BN,black phosphorus, and MXenes, are a class of advanced materials with many possible applications.Different applications need different substrates, and each substrate may need a different way of transferring the 2D material onto it.Problems such as local stress concentrations,an uneven surface tension, inconsistent adhesion, mechanical damage and contamination during the transfer can adversely affect the quality and properties of the transferred material. Therefore, how to improve the integrity, flatness and cleanness of large area 2D materials is a challenge. In order to achieve high-quality transfer, the main concern is to control the interface adhesion between the substrate, the 2D material and the transfer medium. This review focuses on this topic, and finally,in order to promote the industrial use of large area 2D materials, provides a recipe for this transfer process based on the requirements of the application, and points out the current problems and directions for future development.

文摘Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NVP)has garnered great attentions as a prospective cathode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)by virtue of its decent theoretical capacity, superior ion conductivity and high structural stability. However, the inherently poor electronic conductivity and sluggish sodium-ion diffusion kinetics of NVP material give rise to inferior rate performance and unsatisfactory energy density, which strictly confine its further application in SIBs.Thus,it is of significance to boost the sodium storage performance of NVP cathode material.Up to now, many methods have been developed to optimize the electrochemical performance of NVP cathode material. In this review, the latest advances in optimization strategies for improving the electrochemical performance of NVP cathode material are well summarized and discussed, including carbon coating or modification,foreign-ion doping or substitution and nanostructure and morphology design. The foreign-ion doping or substitution is highlighted, involving Na,V,and PO_(4)^(3−)sites,which include single-site doping,multiple-site doping,single-ion doping,multiple-ion doping and so on.Furthermore, the challenges and prospects of high-performance NVP cathode material are also put forward. It is believed that this review can provide a useful reference for designing and developing high-performance NVP cathode material toward the large-scale application in SIBs.

文摘A new adsorbent was successfully prepared by hydrothermal treatment and chemical activation through coal gasification fine slag(CGFS)and blue algae(BA)as raw materials and used for CO_(2)capture.The CO_(2)chemisorption capacity of the adsorbent was further enhanced by taking advantage of the nitrogenous bases contained in the BA.In the hydrothermal process, the addition of BA significantly increased the content of pyrrole nitrogen in the adsorbent. In the activation process, pyrrole nitrogen gradually changed into pyridine nitrogen and graphite nitrogen.Increased BA addition result in a higher specific surface area and microporosity of the adsorbent. The CO_(2)adsorption performance test proved that the CGFS-50%-CA sample has the strongest CO_(2)adsorption capacity at low temperature,up to 15.59 cm^(3)/g,which is mainly through physical adsorption, and the CGFS-10%-CA sample has the strongest CO_(2)adsorption capacity at high temperature,up to 7.31 cm^(3)/g,which is mainly through chemical adsorption.CO_(2)uptake of the CGFS-10%-CA sample was well maintained after 10 cycles, with regeneration efficiencies above 99%.The results indicate that the novel adsorbents with coexistence of physical and chemical adsorption have great potential for CO_(2)adsorption applications.

文摘Herein, the effect of the Ru:Ni bimetallic composition in dual-function materials(DFMs)for the integrated CO_(2)capture and methanation process(ICCU-Methanation)is systematically evaluated and combined with a thorough material characterization,as well as a mechanistic(in-situ diffuse reflectance infrared fourier-transform spectroscopy(in-situ DRIFTS))and computational(computational fluid dynamics(CFD)modelling)investigation,in order to improve the performance of Ni-based DFMs.The bimetallic DFMs are comprised of a main Ni active metallic phase(20 wt%)and are modified with low Ru loadings in the 0.1-1 wt%range(to keep the material cost low),supported on Na_(2)O/Al_(2)O_(3).It is shown that the addition of even a very low Ru loading(0.1-0.2 wt%)can drastically improve the material reducibility, exposing a significantly higher amount of surface-active metallic sites, with Ru being highly dispersed over the support and the Ni phase, while also forming some small Ru particles. This manifests in a significant enhancement in the CH_(4)yield and the CH_(4)production kinetics during ICCU-Methanation(which mainly proceeds via formate intermediates),with 0.2 wt%Ru addition leading to the best results. This bimetallic DFM also shows high stability and a relatively good performance under an oxidizing CO_(2)capture atmosphere. The formation rate of CH_(4)during hydrogenation is then further validated via CFD modelling and the developed model is subsequently applied in the prediction of the effect of other parameters, including the inlet H_(2)concentration,inlet flow rate,dual-fu nction material weight, and reactor internal diameter.

文摘Two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted significant attention as resistive switching materials for two-terminal non-volatile memory devices, often referred to as memristors, due to their potential for achieving fast switching speeds and low power consumption. Finally, we explore the electrical characteristics, resistive switching mechanisms, and applications of solution-processed 2D memristive devices, discussing their advantages and remaining challenges.

文摘Hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))is highly required in various applications. The development of catalysts exhibiting elevated catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability is essential for H_(2)O_(2)production technology.Metalbased catalysts are widely used for 2e^(-)ORR(oxygen reduction reaction)because of their adjustable structure, chemical stability, and availability. However, due to competition with the 4e^(-)ORR,modifications are often conducted to balance activity and selectivity.Common techniques include altering the surface electronic structure of catalysts and the interaction between active sites and intermediates. This review discusses diverse catalyst types(including precious and transition metals,single-atom catalysts, and MOFs/COFs)along with modification strategies(such as morphological control, electronic structure tuning, conductivity enhancement, and wettability improvement). The objective is to elucidate catalyst design and associated reaction mechanisms,as well as the relationship between catalyst structure and activity,in order to provide an insight for producing H_(2)O_(2)in an efficient, highly selective, and stable manner.

文摘The bulge test is a widely utilized method for assessing the mechanical properties of thin films, including metals, polymers, and semiconductors. However,as film thickness diminishes to nanometer scales, boundary conditions dominated by weak van der Waals forces significantly impact mechanical responses.Instead of sample fracture, interfacial shear deformation and delamination become the primary deformation modes, thereby challenging the applicability of conventional bulge models. To accommodate the interfacial effect,a modified mechanical model based on the bulge test has been proposed. This review summarizes recent advancements in the bulge test to highlight the potential challenges and opportunities for future research.

文摘We propose and investigate a novel stable two-dimensional(2D)AlO_(2)with anomalous stoichiometric ratios based on first-principles calculation.2D AlO_(2)has metallic properties. It possesses the rare in-plane and out-of-plane negative Poisson's ratio(NPR)phenomenon, originating from its special sawtooth-like structure. The absolute value of the NPR decreases as the number of layers increases. The adsorption of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)including CH_(2)O,C_(2)H_(3)Cl and C_(6)H_(6)by AlO_(2)exhibit small adsorption distance, large adsorption energy, large charge transfer and significant density of states(DOS)changes, indicating the presence of strong interactions. The desorption time of each gas molecule on the AlO_(2)surface is also evaluated, and the results further suggest that the desorption of VOCs can be controlled by changing the temperature to achieve the recycling of AlO_(2).These interesting properties make 2D AlO_(2)a promising material for electronic, mechanical and sensing applications for VOCs.

文摘The electrochemical performance of layered O3-type NaCrO_(2)cathode material is significantly affected by the side reactions between NaCrO_(2)and electrolyte during sodium storage.A uniform Cr_(2)O_(3)coating layer was in situ constructed on the surface of NaCrO_(2)by controlling the excess ratio of sodium source. The structure, morphology, valence and electrochemical performance of the Cr_(2)O_(3)-coated NaCrO_(2)were characterized. The results indicate that the Cr_(2)O_(3)coating layer does not alter the crystal structure and morphology of NaCrO_(2),but effectively suppresses the side reactions between NaCrO_(2)and electrolyte, and improves the surface/interfacial stability of NaCrO_(2)material.The Cr_(2)O_(3)-coated NaCrO_(2)exhibits improved electrochemical performance with a capacity retention of 66.4%after 500 cycles at 10C.

文摘Understanding the differences in CO_(2)adsorption in cementitious material is critical in mitigating the carbon footprint of the construction industry. This study chose the most common β-C_(2)S phase in the industry as the cementitious material, selecting the β-C_(2)S(111)and β-C_(2)S(100)surfaces for CO_(2)adsorption.First-principles calculations were employed to systematically compare the CO_(2)ad-sorption behaviors on both surfaces focusing on adsorption energy, adsorption configurations, and surface reconstruction. The comparis-on of CO_(2)and H2O adsorption behaviors on the β-C_(2)S(111)surface was also conducted to shed light on the influence of CO_(2)on cement hydration. The adsorption energies of CO_(2)on the β-C_(2)S(111)and β-C_(2)S(100)surfaces were determined as-0.647 and-0.423 eV,respect-ively,suggesting that CO_(2)adsorption is more energetically favorable on the β-C_(2)S(111)surface than on the β-C_(2)S(100)surface.The ad-sorption energy of H2O on the β-C_(2)S(111)surface was-1.588 eV,which is 0.941 eV more negative than that of CO_(2),implying that β-C_(2)S tends to become hydrated before reacting with CO_(2).Bader charges, charge density differences, and the partial density of states were ap-plied to characterize the electronic properties of CO_(2)and H2O molecules and those of the surface atoms. The initial Ca/O sites on the β-C_(2)S(111)surface exhibited higher chemical reactivity due to the greater change in the average number of valence electrons in the CO_(2)ad-sorption.Specifically,after CO_(2)adsorption,the average number of valence electrons for both the Ca and O atoms increased by 0.002 on the β-C_(2)S(111)surface,while both decreased by 0.001 on the β-C_(2)S(100)surface.In addition, due to the lower valence electron number of O atoms, the chemical reactivity of O atoms on the β-C_(2)S(111)surface after H2O adsorption was higher than the case of CO_(2)adsorption,which favors the occurrence of further reactions.Overall, this work assessed the adsorption capacity of the β-C_(2)S surface for CO_(2)mo-lecules,offering a strong theoretical foundation for the design of novel cementitious materials for CO_(2)capture and storage.

文摘Tin dioxide(SnO_(2))with a high theoretical specific capacity of 1494 mAh g^(-1)is a promising candidate anode material for lithium storage. However, the shortcomings of serious volume expansion and low conductivity limit its wide application.Herein, coaxial nano-multilayered C/SnO_(2)/TiO_(2)composites were fabricated via layerby-layer self-assembly of TiO_(2)and SnO_(2)-gel layers on the natural cellulose filter paper, followed by thermal treatment under a nitrogen atmosphere.Through engineering design of the assembly process, the optimal C/SinO_(2)/TiO_(2)composite features five alternating SnO_(2)and TiO_(2)nanolayers,with TiO_(2)as the outside shell(denoted as C/TSTST).This unique structure endows the C/TSTST with excellent structural stability and electrochemical kinetics, making it a high-performance anode for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).The C/TSTST composite delivers a high reversible capacity of 676 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1)after 200 cycles and retains a capacity of 504 mAh g^(-1)at 1.0 A g^(-1),which can be recovered to 781 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1)The significantly enhanced electrochemical performance is attributed to the hierarchical hybrid structure, where the carbon core combined with coaxial TiO_(2)nanolayers serves as a structural scaffold, ameliorating volume change of SnO_(2)while creating abundant interfacial defects for enhanced lithium storage and rapid charge transport. These findings are further demonstrated by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations. This work provides an efficient strategy for designing coaxial nano-multilayered transition metal oxide-related electrode materials, offering new insights into high-performance LIBs anodes.

文摘Carbon-based materials have been widely applied for pollutant removal relying on their rich pore structure, functional groups, chemical stability, and expandability. However, the traditional manufacturing process of carbon materials based on organic compounds pyrolysis is high energy-consuming and high-emission,which is not conducive to addressing the climate crisis and achieving the goal of carbon neutrality.Molten salt electrolysis technology enables the direct capture and reduction of CO_(2)to produce solid carbon, resulting in significant environmental benefits while achieving carbon emissions reduction. The molten salt also has a purification function, enabling the production of high-purity carbon materials. The kinetics of the electrochemical reduction process can be easily controlled, and the co-reduction of multiple elements provides convenience for the in-situ optimization of carbon material structure and the expansion of its applications. Therefore, this review focuses on the thermodynamics&kinetics processes of molten salt capture and electrochemical reduction of CO_(2)to prepare carbon materials. It further reviews the recent research progress on the preparation of carbon materials for pollutant removal based on molten salt electrochemical processes for the first time. Finally,we analyze the advantages and challenges of the current molten salt electrochemical processes and offers prospects for future research directions.
