The stars are located in the vicinity of the reflection nebula NGC 7129. Our photometric data show that both stars exhibit strong photometric variability in all optical passbands, which is typical for Classical T Tauri stars. Using our observational data we analyze the reasons for the observed brightness variations. In the case of V977 Cep we identify previously unknown periodicity in its light curve.展开更多
Introduction:Acral melanoma(AM)is the predominant subtype of cutaneous melanoma in Asian populations,characterized by more aggressive clinical features and limited neoadjuvant therapy response.Centrosomal protein 55 k...Introduction:Acral melanoma(AM)is the predominant subtype of cutaneous melanoma in Asian populations,characterized by more aggressive clinical features and limited neoadjuvant therapy response.Centrosomal protein 55 kDa(CEP55)has been implicated in the pathogenesis of various malignancies,but its role in AM remains undefined.Methods:CEP55 expression in melanoma tissues and cell lines was analyzed by RT-qPCR,Western blotting,and immunohistochemistry(IHC).Databases(GEPIA,Sangerbox,Kaplan-Meier plotter,and TIMER)were used to analyze the expression of CEP55 and its correlation with clinical data of melanoma patients.Functional assays were conducted in vitro and in vivo.RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)and rescue experiments were used to explore underlying mechanisms.Tissue microarrays were used to verify the relationship between CEP55 and immune checkpoints.Results:CEP55 overexpression is associated with Breslow thickness and TNM stage in melanoma tissues and cell lines.CEP55 knockdown inhibited melanoma cell proliferation,migration,and invasion.And CEP55 activated mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling,leading to BRAF inhibitor resistance.Besides,CEP55 overexpression was associated with more favorable responses to immunotherapy in melanoma patients.Conclusions:CEP55 plays a critical role in AM progression and immunotherapy.Targeting CEP55 may be a promising therapeutic strategy for AM.展开更多

Among these hormones, the C-TERMINALLYENCODED PEPTIDE(CEP) belongs to a newly found peptide family that regulates root development in Arabidopsis as well as in other species. However, nothing is known about the CEP genes in apple(Malus×domestica, MdCEP). In this study, a total of 27 apple CEP genes were identified through a genome-wide analysis and were phylogenetically divided into three classes(Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ). The predicted MdCEP genes were distributed across 10 of 17 chromosomes with different densities. Next, the gene structures and motif compositions of the MdCEP genes were analyzed. Subsequently, the expression analysis suggested that the MdCEP genes were highly activated in roots and that MdCEP23 may play an important role in regulating the growth and development of roots. Moreover, all of the MdCEP genes were responsive to multiple abiotic stresses, indicating that MdCEP genes may be involved with various aspects of physiological processes in apple. Nearly one-third of MdCEP genes had a significant response to low nitrogen treatment. Most of the MdCEP genes were up-regulated under stress, including mannitol, polyethylene glycol(PEG) and abscisic acid(ABA), suggesting that MdCEP genes may be involved in the drought stress response. This study provides insight into the putative functions of the MdCEP genes using a genome-wide analysis of the CEP gene family.展开更多
Due to its difficulty in early diagnosis and lack of sensitivity to chemotherapy and radiotherapy,renal cell carcinoma(RCC)remains to be a frequent cause of cancer-related death.Here,we probed into new targets for its ...Due to its difficulty in early diagnosis and lack of sensitivity to chemotherapy and radiotherapy,renal cell carcinoma(RCC)remains to be a frequent cause of cancer-related death.Here,we probed into new targets for its early diagnosis and treatment for RCC.microRNA(miRNA)data of M2-EVs and RCC were searched on the Gene Expression Omnibus database,followed by the prediction of the potential downstream target.Expression of target genes was measured via RT-qPCR and Western blot,respectively.M2 macrophage was obtained viaflow cytometry with M2-EVs extracted.The binding ability of miR-342-3p to NEDD4L and to CEP55 ubiquitination was studied with their roles in the physical abilities of RCC cells assayed.Subcutaneous tumor-bearing mouse models and lung metastasis models were prepared to observe in vivo role of target genes.M2-EVs induced RCC growth and metastasis.miR-342-3p showed high expression in both M2-EVs and RCC cells.M2-EVs carrying miR-342-3p promoted RCC cell abilities to proliferate,invade and migrate.In RCC cells,M2-EV-derived miR-342-3p could specifically bind to NEDD4L and consequently elevate CEP55 protein expression via suppressing NEDD4L,thereby exerting tumor-promoting effects.CEP55 could be degraded by ubiquitination under the function of NEDD4L,and miR-342-3p delivered by M2-EVs facilitated the RCC occurrence and development by activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway.In conclusion,M2-EVs promote RCC growth and metastasis by delivering miR-342-3p to suppress NEDD4L and subsequently inhibit CEP55 ubiquitination and degradation via activation of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway,strongly driving the proliferative,migratory and invasive of RCC cells.展开更多
The distinct influences of cephalosporins(CEPs, i.e., cefamandole nafate and cefpirome sulfate) affiliated to different generations on the volatile fatty acids(VFAs) production and antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs) fa...The distinct influences of cephalosporins(CEPs, i.e., cefamandole nafate and cefpirome sulfate) affiliated to different generations on the volatile fatty acids(VFAs) production and antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs) fates during waste activated sludge(WAS) fermentation were unveiled. The presence of CEPs mainly exhibited negative effects on the total VFAs production(5%–15% reduction), especially the cefamandole nafate, which is quite different to previous understanding. Further investigation revealed that the CEPs contributed to the solubilization and hydrolysis but inhibited the acidification process by affecting the functional microbial populations(i.e., Tissierella) and general microbial metabolic activities(i.e., pyruvate metabolism and VFAs biosynthesis). In addition, CEPs(especially the cefpirome sulfate)caused the propagation of ARGs(i.e., bla TEM, tet X and mex F) during WAS fermentation. CEPs enhanced the cell membrane permeability to promote the antibiotics mechanism of efflux pump and the horizontal transfer of ARGs. Also, the CEPs altered the regulatory systems(i.e., two component system) and microbial populations associated with ARGs, resulting in the proliferation of specific ARGs. Overall, the dissimilarity of different CEPs impacts on the WAS fermentation for VFAs production and ARGs variations enlightened the diverse environmental behaviors of anthropogenic pollutants and evoked the caution of ecological risks.展开更多

The star was dis- covered in 1977 due to its remarkable increase in brightness by more than 5 mag (R). In previous studies, V350 Cep was considered to be a potential FUor or EXor eruptive variable. Our data suggest that during the period of observations the star maintains its maximum brightness with low amplitude photometric variations. Our conclusion is that V350 Cep was probably an intermediate object between FUors and EXors, similar to V1647 Ori.展开更多

The CEP is found to be located at (μc,Tc)= (80 MeV, 148 MeV) where μc and Tc are the critical chemical potential and temperature, respectively. The QNS is found to have the highest and sharpest peak at the CEP. It is also found that, when the chemical potential μ is in the range of 60MeV≤ μ ≤ 110MeV, the QNS near the transition temperature is larger than the free field result, which indicates that the space-like damping mode dominates the degree of freedom of motion near the CEP.展开更多

Our observations showed that CSS J015404.1+382805 and NSVS 3853195 a...Photometric observations in Sloan g′and i′bands of four W UMa binaries, V796 Cep,V797 Cep, CSS J015341.9+381641 and NSVS 3853195, are presented. Our observations showed that CSS J015404.1+382805 and NSVS 3853195 are the same star. We determined the initial epochs T_0 of all targets and found improved values for the period of NSVS 3853195. The light curve solutions of our data revealed that the components of each target are almost the same in terms of mass, temperature,radius and luminosity. The stellar components are G and K spectral types and undergo partial eclipses.All systems have barely-overcontact configurations and can be classified as H subtype W UMa binaries.We established that the relation between the luminosity ratio l_2/l_1 and mass ratio q of our targets is approximately l_2/l_1 = q^(1.5).展开更多
The first photometric analysis of V811 Cep was carried out.The first complete light curves of V,R and I bands are given.The analysis was carried out by the Wilson-Devinney(W-D)program,and the results show that V811 Ce...The first photometric analysis of V811 Cep was carried out.The first complete light curves of V,R and I bands are given.The analysis was carried out by the Wilson-Devinney(W-D)program,and the results show that V811 Cep is a median-contact binary(f=33.9(±4.9)%)with a mass ratio of 0.285.It is a W-subtype contact binary,that is,the component with less mass is hotter than the component with more mass,and the light curves are asymmetric(O’Connell effect),which can be explained by the existence of a hot spot on the component with less mass.The orbital inclination is i=88.3°,indicating that it is a totally eclipsing binary,so the parameters obtained are reliable.Through the O-C analyzing,it is found that the orbital period decreases at the rate of P=-3.90(±0.06)×10^(-7)d yr^(-1),which indicates that the mass transfer occurs from the more massive component to the less massive one.展开更多
