文摘Gastric ulcer(GU)is a common digestive system disease.Acupuncture,as one of the external treatments of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has the characteristics of multi-target,multi-pathway and multi-level action in the treatment of GU.The relationship between meridian points and Zang-fu is an important part of the theory of TCM,which is crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. There is an external and internal link between acupoints and Zang-fu.The pathological reaction of Zang-fu can manifest as acupoint sensitization, while stimulation of acupoints can play a therapeutic role in the internal Zang-fu.Therefore,the acupoint has the functions of reflecting and treating diseases. This review explores the tender points on the body surface of patients with GU and the rules of acupoint selection. In addition,Zusanli(ST36),as one of the most used acupoints of the stomach meridian, was selected to show the mechanisms behind acupoint stimulation in the treatment of GU in greater detail, specifically in the well-studied model of the stress GU(SGU).Hence, the mechanisms of acupuncture at ST36 and points commonly used in combination with ST36 to treat SGU are discussed further.Treatment effects can be achieved through anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities, gastric mucosal injury repair, and interaction with the brain-gut axis.In summary, this review provides evidence for a comprehensive understanding of the phenomena and mechanism of acupoint functions for GU.

文摘Objective Previous studies indicated a close correlation between manual acupuncture(MA)analgesia and the mobilization of extracellular adenosine triphosphate(ATP)at the acupoints. This study attempted to investigate whether this relationship is altered with the manipulation patterns of MA.Additionally,we further testified whether these two events parallelly varied with different frequencies of electroacupuncture(EA).Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:blank group, model group,MA group, and EA group.MA group was further divided into four sub-groups:standard MA,sham MA,lifting-thrusting MA,and shallow MA.Similarly,EA group was categorized based on current frequency into 2 Hz,2–100 Hz,100 Hz,and ARL67156+100 Hz sub-groups.For the behavioral tests, each group comprised 4–8 rats;for extracellular ATP assessment, each group consisted of 3–6 rats.Complete Freund’s adjuvant(CFA)was injected into the left ankle joint cavity to create an acute adjuvant arthritis(AA)model.A 20-minute session of either MA at left Zusanli(ST36)or EA at bilateral ST36 was administered on AA rats.Thermal hyperalgesia of the hind paw was determined.Extracellular ATP in the interstitial space at ST36(inters.ATP)was extracted using microdialysis and quantified via a luciferase-luciferin assay. Results Modeling induced tenderness at ST36(P<0.001)and higher ATP mobilization(P<0.05)in response to MA.Both standard MA(P<0.001)and lifting-thrusting manipulation(P<0.001)exhibited a remarkable analgesic effect, which was not observed with sham MA,deep insertion plus retention.Verum MA(P<0.001)rather than sham intervention, significantly elevated inters.ATP levels.Notably, shallow MA,penetrating the skin layer and needling with twirling-rotating,demonstrated analgesia and increasing inters.ATP level(P<0.05).Regarding EA,treatments at frequencies of 2 Hz(P<0.01),2–100 Hz(P<0.05),and 100 Hz(P<0.05)significantly alleviated pain.Only the 2–100 Hz(P<0.05)and 100 Hz(P<0.01)interventions,particularly in the latter, potentiated ATP mobilization.Preventing ATP hydrolysis dampened the analgesic effects of the standard MA and 100 Hz EA.Conclusion There is a general correlation between ATP mobilization at the acupoint and the analgesic effect of MA and EA.However, the underlying mechanisms related to shallow MA and 2 Hz EA remain to be elucidated.
文摘Background:Acupuncture is widely used in modulating brain excitability and motor function,as a form of complementary and alternative medicine. However, there is no existing meta-analysis evaluating the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture on corticospinal excitability(CSE),and the credibility of the evidence has yet to be quantified. Objective:This study was designed to assess the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture(EA)and manual acupuncture(MA)in enhancing brain excitability, specifically focusing on CSE as measured by transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS).Search strategy:This study followed a systematic approach, searching 9 databases up to August 2024 and examining grey literature,in compliance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.Inclusion criteria:Studies were included if they compared the clinical efficacy of EA or MA with sham acupuncture,no treatment or usual training.Data extraction and analysis:Three investigators independently conducted literature screening, data extraction, and risk of bias assessment. The primary outcome focused on motor-evoked potentials as measured by TMS,with treatment effects quantified using mean differences or standardized mean differences between pre-and post-treatment.Subgroup analyses were conducted using mixed-effects models, while random-effects or fixed-effects models were used to estimate average treatment differences across studies. Results:Based on 34 studies involving 1031 adults, acupuncture techniques significantly enhanced CSE.EA had a greater impact than MA,with effect sizes of 0.53 mV vs 0.43 mV(95%confidence interval[CI]:[0.30,0.76],P<0.00001 vs 95%CI:[0.28,0.59],P<0.00001).The 5 most frequently used acupoints were LI4(Hegu,32 times),ST36(Zusanli,10 times),LI11(Quchi,7 times),TE5(Waiguan,6 times),and GB34(Yanglingquan,5 times). Conclusion:This systematic review indicates that both EA and MA could effectively and safely enhance CSE,bringing the corticospinal pathway closer to the threshold for firing, which may ultimately improve motor function.LI4,ST36,LI11,TE5 and GB34 are the most commonly used acupoints.

文摘The strong connection between braids and knots provides valuable insights into studying the topological state and phase classification of various physical systems. The phenomenon of non-Hermitian(NH)two-and three-band braiding has received widespread attention. However,a systematic exploration and visualization of non-Abelian braiding and the associated knot transformations in four-band systems remains unexplored. Here,we propose a theoretical model of NH four-band braiding, provide its phase diagram, and establish its trivial,Abelian, and non-Abelian braiding rules.Additionally,we report on special knots, such as the Hopf and Solomon links in braided knots, and reveal that their transformations are accompanied by and mediated through exceptional points. Our work provides a detailed case for studying NH multiband braiding and knot structures in four-band systems, which could offer insights for topological photonics and analog information processing applications.

文摘Background:The medicinal material known as Os Draconis(Longgu)originates from fossilized remains of ancient mammals and is widely used in treating emotional and mental conditions. However, fossil resources are nonrenewable, and clinical demand is increasingly difficult to meet, leading to a proliferation of counterfeit products.During prolonged geological burial, static pressure from the surrounding strata severely compromises the microstructural integrity of osteons in Os Draconis, but Os Draconis still largely retains the structural features of mammalian bone. Methods:Using verified authentic Os Draconis samples over 10,000 years old as a baseline, this study summarizes the ultrastructural characteristics of genuine Os Draconis.Employing electron probe microanalysis and optical polarized light microscopy,we examined 28 batches of authentic Os Draconis and 31 batches of counterfeits to identify their ultrastructural differences.Key points for ultrastructural identification of Os Draconis were compiled, and a new identification approach was proposed based on these differences. Results:Authentic Os Draconis exhibited distinct ultrastructural markers:irregularly shaped osteons with traversing fissures,deformed/displaced Haversian canals, and secondary mineral infill(predominantly calcium carbonate).Counterfeits showed regular osteon arrangements, absent traversal fissures, and homogeneous hydroxyapatite composition.Lab-simulated samples lacked structural degradation features.EPMA confirmed calcium carbonate infill in fossilized Haversian canals, while elemental profiles differentiated lacunae types(void vs.mineral-packed).Conclusion:The study established ultrastructural criteria for authentic Os Draconis identification:osteon deformation, geological fissures penetrating bone units, and heterogenous mineral deposition. These features, unattainable in counterfeits or modern processed bones, provide a cost-effective,accurate identification method. This approach bridges gaps in TCM material standardization and supports quality control for clinical applications.
文摘Trigger point(TrP) acupuncture(dry needling),the use of solid filiform needles at TrPs,has been developed from a comprehensive integration and adaptation of traditional acupuncture using current understandings of TrPs.During the past twenty years, the concept and technique continues to evolve, with a potential to expand to other conditions beyond myofascial pain syndromes that can be managed via stimulating TrPs.In this article,we compared TrP acupuncture and traditional acupuncture from the following aspects:points of needle insertion, needles and needling techniques, and therapeutic indications.Traditional acupuncture encompasses an abundance of methods and techniques in acupuncture practices and has been widely used and studied for a variety of disorders. With unique specific characteristics,TrP acupuncture further develops traditional acupuncture theories, especially the concepts of Ashi point. The location of TrPs,their distribution pattern and pain indication are similar to those of traditional acupoints;the selection of needles, depth of needle insertion, and manipulation techniques are part of traditional acupuncture.TrP acupuncture is thus an integral part of traditional acupuncture.
