Identifying workers’construction activities or behaviors can enable managers to better monitor labor efficiency and construction progress.However,current activity analysis methods for construction workers rely solely on manual observations and recordings,which consumes considerable time and has high labor costs.Researchers have focused on monitoring on-site construction activities of workers.However,when multiple workers are working together,current research cannot accu rately and automatically identify the construction activity.This research proposes a deep learning framework for the automated analysis of the construction activities of multiple workers.In this framework,multiple deep neural network models are designed and used to complete worker key point extraction,worker tracking,and worker construction activity analysis.The designed framework was tested at an actual construction site,and activity recognition for multiple workers was performed,indicating the feasibility of the framework for the automated monitoring of work efficiency. 展开更多

Fractional purification process and activity analysis of wheat calcium ion chelating peptides

Calcium-chelating peptide is a new type of calcium supplement with excellent absorption properties and high bioavailability,safety and stability.This study synthesized calcium chelating peptide from gluten by enzymatic hydrolysis,determined peptide sequences with high activity,and analyzed their digestive characteristics and stability.The enzymatic hydrolysis process was optimized using response surface methodology to determine the optimal enzymatic hydrolysis conditions of temperature 55?C,p H 8.5,and the ratio of alkaline protease to flavor protease(proportion of enzymes)2.63:1 under a liquid-to-solid ratio of 20:1.The calcium chelation rate of gluten hydrolysate was up to 40.1%under the optimal conditions.Fractional purification was then carried out and results showed that peptides with a molecular weight below 500 Da exhibited the highest chelation rate(51.1%).LC-MS/MS analysis was applied to identify 1224 distinct peptide sequences,among which V.YIPPY?C(WCP1)exhibited a higher calcium chelation rate after screening and molecular docking studies.The synthesized WCP1 displayed a calcium chelation rate as high as 53.5%.Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)confirmed that both carboxyl and phosphate groups play crucial roles in mediating interactions between calcium ions and wheat polypeptides.Circular Dichroism(CD)revealed that the structure of wheat peptide became more compact after chelation.Furthermore,stability experiments indicated that the calcium-chelating peptides displayed notable resistance to digestion as well as excellent p H stability and thermal stability.This study provides technical support for deep processing and functional product development of gluten flour. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To determine differences in cerebral activity evoked by acupuncture and conventional stroke treatment, and identify the treatment targets.METHODS: In total, 21 patients were randomly divided into two groups. Group A(11 patients) received both acupuncture and conventional treatment, while group B(10 patients) received conventional treatment only. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(f MRI) was performed on each participant before and after treatment. Regional homogeneity analysis was performed to investigate the potential mechanism of acupuncture treatment by comparing differences in cerebral activity between treatments.RESULTS: Group A showed higher Re Ho in the frontal lobe(BA6, BA46), supra-marginal gyrus(BA40),middle temporal gyrus(BA21), cerebellum, and insula. Group B showed higher Re Ho in the frontal lobe(BA6) and parietal lobe(BA3, BA7).CONCLUSION: Acupuncture and conventional treatment triggered relatively different clinical efficacy and brain responses. Acupuncture treatment more significantly improved the symptoms of stroke patients. More marked changes in sensory,emotional, and motor areas(including the frontal lobe, middle temporal gyrus, cerebellum, and insula) might reflect the specific acupuncture mechanism. 展开更多

Analysis of cluster behaviors of the on-coming cluster is an essential measure for high value locations on the battlefield.Unlike target tracking and clustering analysis,cluster behaviors analysis under cluster security requirements remains an open issue,which is a joint analysis of clus-tering,intent reasoning and activity regions.To address this issue,a framework for cluster behav-iors analysis is proposed by incorporating expert knowledge and domain knowledge,and a knowledge-assisted score function with is designed to improve the accuracy of intent reasoning net-work,overcoming the effects of possible knowledge errors.The framework consists of three mod-ules for cluster analysis,intent reasoning and activity region analysis for typical tasks,in which an intent reasoning network is constructed to obtain cluster intents by using a hybrid knowledge and data driven approach.Furthermore,considering the complexity of the battlefield environment,dif-ferent tasks and corresponding activity region optimization functions are designed for cluster activ-ity region analysis,which are vital elements of cluster behaviors analysis.Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed cluster behaviors analysis framework. 展开更多

Objective The resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-f MRI)method was used to observe brain activity and its functional connection upon electroacupuncture stimulation at bilateral uterine acupoints(EX-CA1),as well as to investigate the mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of gynecological diseases.Methods Twenty-two healthy female subjects were stimulated by electroacupuncture at bilateral uterine acupoints;rs-f MRI data of the brain were acquired and standardized.Degree centrality(DC),amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF),and regional homogeneity(ReHo)were used to analyze local spontaneous brain activity via acupuncture.An independent component analysis was used to evaluate the functional connectivity of the resting brain networks after acupuncture.Results Analytical results showed that the neural activity intensity of the precuneus lobe,orbitofrontal cortex,lingual gyrus,amygdala,and posterior central gyrus decreased after acupuncture(voxel P<0.001,cluster P<0.05).Functional connectivity analysis revealed weakened auditory and right frontal-parietal networks(voxel P<0.001,cluster P<0.05),enhanced visual network(voxel P<0.001,cluster P<0.05),and synergistic auditory network and hypothalamic-pituitary system.Conclusion Significant differences in neural activity and functional connectivity in specific brain regions were observed after acupuncture intervention at uterine acupoints;the hypothalamic-pituitary system also showed various active states in different brain regions.It is speculated that the effective mechanism of acupuncture at uterine acupoints is related to the regulation of reproductive hormones,emotional changes,and somatic sensations.Therefore,the methods used in this study could clarify the neural mechanism of uterine-point acupuncture in the treatment of gynecological diseases and may serve as a reference for other studies pertaining to acupuncture. 展开更多

bHLH transcription factors,widely exist in various plants,and are vital for the growth and development of these plants.Among them,many have been implicated in anthocyanin biosynthesis across various plants.In the pres... bHLH transcription factors,widely exist in various plants,and are vital for the growth and development of these plants.Among them,many have been implicated in anthocyanin biosynthesis across various plants.In the present study,a PdbHLH57 gene,belonging to the bHLH IIIf group,was characterized,which was isolated and cloned from the colored-leaf poplar‘Zhongshancaiyun’(ZSCY).The cDNA sequence of PdbHLH57 was 1887 base pairs,and the protein encoded by PdbHLH57 had 628 amino acids,the isoelectric point and molecular weight of which were 6.26 and 69.75 kDa,respectively.Through bioinformatics analysis,PdbHLH57 has been classified into the IIIf bHLH subgroup,with many members of this subgroup known to participate in anthocyanin biosynthesis.The subcellular localization analysis conducted in the leaf protoplasts of‘ZSCY’revealed that the PdbHLH57 protein is specifically localized in the nucleus.The transcription activation analysis was also conducted,and the results showed that the PdbHLH57 protein had self-transcription activation.To better explore the functions of the PdbHLH57 protein,two parts of this protein(PdbHLH57-1,PdbHLH57-2)were split to detect their transcriptional activation activity.The results indicated that PdbHLH57-1(1-433aa)had self-transcription activation,and PdbHLH57-2(433-628aa)had no transcription activation.The expression of PdbHLH57 peaked in June during different developmental stages in‘ZSCY’,and it was most highly expressed in the phloem among various tissues.These findings offer a basis for understanding the role of PdbHLH57 in colored-leaf poplar. 展开更多

The paper was to obtain the VP1 protein of FMDV serotype A with high activity. With recombinant plasmid pMD19A-T-vp1 as the tem- plate, vpl gene fragment amplified by PCR was connected into prokaryotic expression vector pET28a to construct recombinant plasmid pET-A-vpl. The E. coli BL21 (DE3) strain containing recombinant plasmid pET-A-vpl were induced by IPTG. SDS-PAGE showed that VP1 protein was ex- pressed in the form of inclusion body, and its molecular weight was about 29 ku. Based on the optimizing IPTG concentration and expression time, the largest expression of VP1 protein was induced by 0.3 mmol/L IPTG for 6 h at 37 ℃. Western-Blot analysis indicated that the expression of VP1 protein could be specifically recognized by positive serum of FMDV serotype A. ELISA test showed that VP1 inclusion body protein had high activity after purification by washing and renaturation by urea concentration gradient dialysis. 展开更多

High-precision copper-grade identification via a vision transformer with PGNAA

The identification of ore grades is a critical step in mineral resource exploration and mining.Prompt gamma neutron activation analysis(PGNAA)technology employs gamma rays generated by the nuclear reactions between neutrons and samples to achieve the qualitative and quantitative detection of sample components.In this study,we present a novel method for identifying copper grade by combining the vision transformer(ViT)model with the PGNAA technique.First,a Monte Carlo simulation is employed to determine the optimal sizes of the neutron moderator,thermal neutron absorption material,and dimensions of the device.Subsequently,based on the parameters obtained through optimization,a PGNAA copper ore measurement model is established.The gamma spectrum of the copper ore is analyzed using the ViT model.The ViT model is optimized for hyperparameters using a grid search.To ensure the reliability of the identification results,the test results are obtained through five repeated tenfold cross-validations.Long short-term memory and convolutional neural network models are compared with the ViT method.These results indicate that the ViT method is efficient in identifying copper ore grades with average accuracy,precision,recall,F_(1)score,and F_(1)(-)score values of 0.9795,0.9637,0.9614,0.9625,and 0.9942,respectively.When identifying associated minerals,the ViT model can identify Pb,Zn,Fe,and Co minerals with identification accuracies of 0.9215,0.9396,0.9966,and 0.8311,respectively. 展开更多

Xylem-specific promoter could regulate efficient expression of foreign genes in xylem. Deletion analysis method was applied to obtain 5' deletion promoter fragments MU2 andMU4 with different distances from transcription start site of xylem-specific promoter MDCcsAP through PCR procedure. Then CaMV35S promoter in plant expression vector pBI121 was replaced by amplified fragments. The recombinant plasmids fused with corresponding gene segments and GUS reporter gene were obtained and transformed into Agrobacterium. The results of the tobacco transient transformation test showed that MU2 andMU4 had the promoter function, and both of their activity were significantly higher than that of CaMV35S promoter, and they had the characteristics of xylem tissue specificity as well. Research on xy- lem-specific promoter structure and function could lay a foundation for the determination of necessary components to the xylem tissue specificity and cis-acting ele- ments with induction activity, so as to enable the regulation of efficient expression of exogenous genes in specific time and specific tissues in plants through these cis-acting elements. 展开更多

Long-term vegetation dynamics and its drivers in the north of China

Vegetation change is the most intuitive and sensitive bioindicator reflecting seasonal and interannual variations in the external environment,and it can directly reflect the rapid response of terrestrial ecosystems to climate change.Using remote sensing and meteorological data,this study revealed the spatiotemporal characteristics of leaf area index(LAI)in the north of China during 1982–2022,clarified the response of LAI change to different meteorological factors,quantified the impacts of climate change and human activities on LAI change,and predicted the future trends in LAI change.From 1982 to 2022,the vegetation in the north of China generally showed a greening trend with a change rate of 0.0071 m2/(m2•a).Temperature was strongly positively correlated with LAI and was the main climate factor driving LAI change.Residual analysis revealed that vegetation improvement occurred in across 74.53%of the study area,and vegetation improvement in about 96.83%of the improved zone was attributed to a combination of climate change and human activities.The regions where anthropogenic contribution exceeded 60.00%covered 36.83%of human-affected areas,while the regions where climatic contribution exceeded 60.00%covered 19.77%of climate-affected areas,demonstrating that human activities influenced the intensity of LAI change more deeply despite the broad spatial impact of climate change.Human activities such as afforestation and the Three-North Protective Forest Program played the dominant role in vegetation greening compared to climate change.Hurst index analysis indicated that 80.30%of vegetation in the north of China is expected to experience a non-sustained improvement in the future.These findings will provide a scientific basis for optimizing the protection strategies of the national ecological barrier areas and evaluating the effectiveness of major ecological projects. 展开更多

Samples of two crop seeds (corn and sesame) grown on different contaminated soil sources were collected and prepared for neutron activation analysis. Soil contamination sources were organic waste compost applied to soil amendments namely, sewage sludge(Bs) and municipal solid waste (MSW) at 4%, 6% and 8% respectively. The non destructive NAA technique was used to determine some trace elements accumulation in plant seeds. Results revealed that increasing rate of tested organic waste resulted in dramatic increase in tested heavy metals levels in seeds(i.e., Fe, Zn, Co, Cr, Sc and Hg). Sesame seeds showed higher affinity to accumulate trace elements than corn grains in most tested elements. Moreover, MSW addition enhanced the accumulation of tested metals in seeds more than Bs compost. 展开更多

The curve of the global wavelet power spectrum peaks at 11-yr, 53-yr and 101-yr periods. The evolution of the amplitudes of the three periods is studied. The results show that around 1750 and 1800, the amplitude of the 53-yr period was much higher than that of the the 11-yr period, that the ca. 53-yr period was apparent only for the interval from 1725 to 1850, and was very low after 1850, that around 1750, 1800 and 1900, the amplitude of the 101-yr period was higher than that of the 11-yr period and that, from 1940 to 2000, the 11-yr period greatly dominates over the other two periods. 展开更多

A new coordination compound, [Co(L223)2(H2O)2]·H2pm(1, L223 = 3,4-bis(2-pyridyl)-5-(3-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole and H4 pm = pyromellitic acid), has been synthesized. The structure of complex 1 has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectrum analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1 with a = 10.2470(8), b = 10.2879(9), c = 10.2951(11) ?, α = 109.398(2), β = 97.6590(10), γ = 95.3260(10)°, V = 1003.60(16) ?3, Z = 1, Dc = 1.565 g/cm^3, μ = 0.508 mm%^-1, Mr = 945.73, F(000) = 485, the final R = 0.0562 and w R = 0.0783 with I 〉 2σ(I). Two L223 as chelating ligands link one Co(II) ion to form a 0D motif. Furthermore, the 0D motifs are linked into a 2D coordination pattern with hydrogen bonds. In addition, the antifungal effects of the ligand and the complex were evaluated by the disc diffusion method against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. 1 represents antifungal activity with high levels of inhibitory potency which is larger than the corresponding ligand. 展开更多

Stabilizing pile is a kind of earth shoring structure frequently used in slope engineering. When the piles have cantilever segments above the ground,laggings are usually installed to avoid collapse of soil between piles. Evaluating the earth pressure acting on laggings is of great importance in design process.Since laggings are usually less stiff than piles,the lateral pressure on lagging is much closer to active earth pressure. In order to estimate the lateral earth pressure on lagging more accurately,first,a model test of cantilever stabilizing pile and lagging systems was carried out. Then,basing the experimental results a three-dimensional sliding wedge model was established. Last,the calculation process of the total active force on lagging is presented based on the kinematic approach of limit analysis. A comparison is made between the total active force on lagging calculated by the formula presented in this study and the force on a same-size rigid retaining wall obtained from Rankine's theory. It is found that the proposed method fits well with the experimental results.Parametric studies show that the total active force on lagging increases with the growth of the lagging height and the lagging clear span; while decreases asthe soil internal friction angle and soil cohesion increase. 展开更多

It is found that (1) the monthly sunspot group numbers in the northern hemisphere begin two months earlier than those in the southern one, which should lead to phase asynchrony between them but with a slight effect; (2) the Schwabe cycle length for the monthly sunspot group numbers in the two hemispheres obviously differs from each other, and the mean Schwabe cycle length of the monthly sunspot group numbers in the northern hemisphere is slightly larger than that in the southern one; (3) the monthly sunspot group numbers in the northern hemisphere precede those in the southern hemisphere during the years of about 1874- 1927, after which, the southern hemisphere leads the northern hemisphere in the years 1928-1964, and then the northern hemisphere leads in time till the present. 展开更多
