Due to the small size,active mobility,and intrinsic softness,miniature soft robots hold promising po-tentials in reaching the deep region inside living bodies otherwise inaccessible with compelling agility,adaptabilit...Due to the small size,active mobility,and intrinsic softness,miniature soft robots hold promising po-tentials in reaching the deep region inside living bodies otherwise inaccessible with compelling agility,adaptability and safety.Various materials and actuation strategies have been developed for creating soft robots,among which,ferromagnetic soft materials that self-actuate in response to external magnetic fields have attracted worldwide attention due to their remote controllability and excellent compatibil-ity with biological tissues.This review presents comprehensive and systematic research advancements in the design,fabrication,and applications of ferromagnetic soft materials for miniature robots,providing in-sights into their potential use in biomedical fields and beyond.The programming strategies of ferromag-netic soft materials are summarized and classified,including mold-assisted programming,3D printing-assisted programming,microassembly-assisted programming,and magnetization reprogramming.Each approach possesses unique advantages in manipulating the magnetic responsiveness of ferromagnetic soft materials to achieve outstanding actuation and deformation performances.We then discuss the biomedi-cal applications of ferromagnetic soft material-based soft robots(e.g.,minimally invasive surgery,targeted delivery,and tissue engineering),highlighting their potentials in revolutionizing biomedical technologies.This review also points out the current challenges and provides insights into future research directions,which we hope can serve as a useful reference for the development of next-generation adaptive miniature robots.展开更多

It is achieved through optimizing pavement structural andthickness design under specified climate and traffic conditions using advanced M-E principles, thereby minimizingeconomic costs and environmental impact. However, the implementation of AASHTO M-E design for low-volumeconcrete pavements using AASHTOWare Pavement ME Design (Pavement ME) software is often overly conservative.This is because Pavement ME specifies the minimum design thickness of concrete slab as 152.4 mm (6 in.). Thispaper introduces a novel extension of the AASHTO M-E framework for the design of low-volume joint plain concretepavements (JPCPs) without modification of Pavement ME. It utilizes multi-gene genetic programming (MGGP)-based computational models to obtain rapid solutions for JPCP damage accumulation and long-term performanceanalyses. The developed MGGP models simulate the fatigue damage and differential energy accumulations. Thispermits the prediction of transverse cracking and joint faulting for a wide range of design input parameters and axlespectrum. The developed MGGP-based models match Pavement ME-predicted cracking and faulting for rigidpavements with conventional concrete slab thicknesses and enable rational extrapolation of performance predictionfor thinner JPCPs. This paper demonstrates how the developed computational model enables sustainable lowvolumepavement design using optimized ME solutions for Pittsburgh, PA, conditions.展开更多
The level of genetic variation within a breeding population affects the effectiveness of selection strategies for genetic improvement.The relationship between genetic variation level within Pinus tabuliformis breeding...The level of genetic variation within a breeding population affects the effectiveness of selection strategies for genetic improvement.The relationship between genetic variation level within Pinus tabuliformis breeding populations and selection strategies or selection effectiveness is not fully investigated.Here,we compared the selection effectiveness of combined and individual direct selection strategies using half-and full-sib families produced from advanced-generation P.tabuliformis seed orchard as our test populations.Our results revealed that,within half-sib families,average diameter at breast height(DBH),tree height,and volume growth of superior individuals selected by the direct selection strategy were higher by 7.72%,18.56%,and 31.01%,respectively,than those selected by the combined selection strategy.Furthermore,significant differences(P<0.01)were observed between the two strategies in terms of the expected genetic gains for average tree height and volume.In contrast,within full-sib families,the differences in tree average DBH,height,and volume between the two selection strategies were relatively minor with increase of 0.17%,2.73%,and 2.21%,respectively,and no significant differences were found in the average expected genetic gains for the studied traits.Half-sib families exhibited greater phenotypic and genetic variation,resulting in improved selection efficiency with the direct selection strategy but also introduced a level of inbreeding risk.Based on genetic distance estimates using molecular markers,our comparative seed orchard design analysis showed that the Improved Adaptive Genetic Programming Algorithm(IAPGA)reduced the average inbreeding coefficient by 14.36% and 14.73% compared to sequential and random designs,respectively.In conclusion,the combination of the direct selection strategy with IAPGA seed orchard design aimed at minimizing inbreeding offered an efficient approach for establishing advanced-generation P.tabuliformis seed orchards.展开更多

The current fault-tolerant design methods are based on triple modular redundancy( TMR) or multiple modular redundancy( MMR). These redundancy designs rely on the experience of the designers,and the designed circuits have poor adaptabilities to a complex environment. However, evolutionary design of digital circuits does not rely on prior knowledge. During the evolution, some novel and optimal circuit topologies can be found, and the evolved circuits can feature strong adaptive capacities. Based on Cartesian genetic programming( CGP), a novel method for designing fault-tolerant digital circuits by evolution is proposed,key steps of the evolution are introduced,influences of function sets on evolution are investigated,and as a preliminary result,an evolved full adder with high fault-tolerance is shown.展开更多
Heat integration is important for energy-saving in the process industry.It is linked to the persistently challenging task of optimal design of heat exchanger networks(HEN).Due to the inherent highly nonconvex nonlinea...Heat integration is important for energy-saving in the process industry.It is linked to the persistently challenging task of optimal design of heat exchanger networks(HEN).Due to the inherent highly nonconvex nonlinear and combinatorial nature of the HEN problem,it is not easy to find solutions of high quality for large-scale problems.The reinforcement learning(RL)method,which learns strategies through ongoing exploration and exploitation,reveals advantages in such area.However,due to the complexity of the HEN design problem,the RL method for HEN should be dedicated and designed.A hybrid strategy combining RL with mathematical programming is proposed to take better advantage of both methods.An insightful state representation of the HEN structure as well as a customized reward function is introduced.A Q-learning algorithm is applied to update the HEN structure using theε-greedy strategy.Better results are obtained from three literature cases of different scales.展开更多
G protein coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2) is a kinase that regulates cardiac signaling activity. Inhibiting GRK2 is a promising mechanism for the treatment of heart failure (HF). Further development and optimization ...G protein coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2) is a kinase that regulates cardiac signaling activity. Inhibiting GRK2 is a promising mechanism for the treatment of heart failure (HF). Further development and optimization of inhibitors targeting GRK2 are highly meaningful. Therefore, in order to design GRK2 inhibitors with better performance, the most active molecule was selected as a reference compound from a data set containing 4-pyridylhydrazone derivatives and triazole derivatives, and its scaffold was extracted as the initial scaffold. Then, a powerful optimization-based framework for de novo drug design, guided by binding affinity, was used to generate a virtual molecular library targeting GRK2. The binding affinity of each virtual compound in this dataset was predicted by our developed deep learning model, and the designed potential compound with high binding affinity was selected for molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation. It was found that the designed potential molecule binds to the ATP site of GRK2, which consists of key amino acids including Arg199, Gly200, Phe202, Val205, Lys220, Met274 and Asp335. The scaffold of the molecule is stabilized mainly by H-bonding and hydrophobic contacts. Concurrently, the reference compound in the dataset was also simulated by docking. It was found that this molecule also binds to the ATP site of GRK2. In addition, its scaffold is stabilized mainly by H-bonding and π-cation stacking interactions with Lys220, as well as hydrophobic contacts. The above results show that the designed potential molecule has similar binding modes to the reference compound, supporting the effectiveness of our framework for activity-focused molecular design. Finally, we summarized the interaction characteristics of general GRK2 inhibitors and gained insight into their molecule-target binding mechanisms, thereby facilitating the expansion of lead to hit compound.展开更多

Recent advancements in magneto-soft robots have demonstrated their abilities to achieve pr...Soft robots, inspired by the flexibility and versatility of biological organisms, have potential in a variety of applications. Recent advancements in magneto-soft robots have demonstrated their abilities to achieve precise remote control through magnetic fields, enabling multi-modal locomotion and complex manipulation tasks. Nonetheless, two main hurdles must be overcome to advance the field: developing a multi-component substrate with embedded magnetic particles to ensure the requisite flexibility and responsiveness, and devising a cost-effective,straightforward method to program three-dimensional distributed magnetic domains without complex processing and expensive machinery. Here, we introduce a cost-effective and simple heat-assisted in-situ integrated molding fabrication method for creating magnetically driven soft robots with three-dimensional programmable magnetic domains. By synthesizing a composite material with neodymium-iron-boron(NdFeB) particles embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and Ecoflex matrix(PDMS:Ecoflex = 1:2 mass ratio, 50% magnetic particle concentration), we achieved an optimized balance of flexibility, strength, and magnetic responsiveness. The proposed heat-assisted in-situ magnetic domains programming technique,performed at an experimentally optimized temperature of 120℃, resulted in a 2 times magnetization strength(9.5 mT) compared to that at 20℃(4.8 m T), reaching a saturation level comparable to a commercial magnetizer. We demonstrated the versatility of our approach through the fabrication of six kinds of robots, including two kinds of two-dimensional patterned soft robots(2D-PSR), a circular six-pole domain distribution magnetic robot(2D-CSPDMR), a quadrupedal walking magnetic soft robot(QWMSR), an object manipulation robot(OMR), and a hollow thin-walled spherical magneto-soft robot(HTWSMSR). In this paper,the application of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)is investigated in a multiple-input single-output network consisting of multiple legitimate users and a potential eavesdropper.To support secure tra...In this paper,the application of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)is investigated in a multiple-input single-output network consisting of multiple legitimate users and a potential eavesdropper.To support secure transmissions from legitimate users,two NOMA Secrecy Sum Rate Transmit Beam Forming(NOMA-SSR-TBF)schemes are proposed to maximise the SSR of a Base Station(BS)with sufficient and insufficient transmit power.For BS with sufficient transmit power,an artificial jamming beamforming design scheme is proposed to disrupt the potential eavesdropping without impacting the legitimate transmissions.In addition,for BS with insufficient transmit power,a modified successive interference cancellation decoding sequence is used to reduce the impact of artificial jamming on legitimate transmissions.More specifically,iterative algorithm for the successive convex approximation are provided to jointly optimise the vectors of transmit beamforming and artificial jamming.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed NOMA-SSR-TBF schemes outperforms the existing works,such as the maximized artificial jamming power scheme,the maximized artificial jamming power scheme with artificial jamming beamforming design and maximized secrecy sum rate scheme without artificial jamming beamforming design.展开更多
Electromagnetic sandwich metastructure(ESM)consisting of different functional layers,has gained in-creasing attention in radiation prevention and radar stealth.However,the current ESM design is primar-ily based on the...Electromagnetic sandwich metastructure(ESM)consisting of different functional layers,has gained in-creasing attention in radiation prevention and radar stealth.However,the current ESM design is primar-ily based on the separation design method,ignoring electromagnetic-mechanical interactions between layers.Thus,subject to thin thickness constraint of ESM,it is a great challenge to achieve broadband microwave absorption(MA)and excellent mechanical performance simultaneously.To address this is-sue,an electromagnetic-mechanical collaborative design approach was proposed for ESM.The relations of geometric-electromagnetic and geometric-mechanical of ESM were first identified by machine learn-ing.They were then integrated with the heuristic genetic optimization algorithm to perform the highly efficient design.The designed ESM can achieve 36.4 GHz effective absorption bandwidth(EAB,RL≤-10 dB),334.3 MPa equivalent bending strength and 83 MPa compressive strength with a thickness of 9.3 mm,possessing the widest EAB and highest bending strength within the current available MA struc-tures(thickness less than 9.5 mm).The proposed approach provides an efficient tool for the design of electromagnetic-mechanical optimal ESM.展开更多
The penetration of ogival-nosed projectiles into ship plates represents a complex impact dynamics issue essential for analyzing structural failuremechanisms.Although stiffenedplates are vital in ship construction,fews...The penetration of ogival-nosed projectiles into ship plates represents a complex impact dynamics issue essential for analyzing structural failuremechanisms.Although stiffenedplates are vital in ship construction,fewstudies have addressed the issue of model equivalence under penetration loading.This study employs numerical simulation to validate an experiment with an ogival-nosed projectile penetrating a Q345 steel plate.Four equivalent stiffened plate methods are proposed based on the area,flexural modulus,moment of inertia,and thickness.The results indicate that thickness equivalence(DM4)is unsuitable for penetration-loaded stiffened plates,except under low-speed,nonpenetrating through impacts,and yields less accuracy than DM1/DM3.DM1,DM2,and DM3 each perform optimally with specific velocity ranges:DM1 at very low(critical)and high velocities,DM3 at low velocities,and DM2 at high speeds.Furthermore,in penetration scenarios,T-shaped stiffeners can be replacedwith rectangular ones,as both exhibit similar failure behaviors and deflection trends,simplifying the design while preserving key structural characteristics.These findings provide valuable insights into the design of protective ship structures.展开更多

Evolutionary algorithms have been extensively utilized in practical applications.However,manually designed population updating formulas are inherently prone to the subjective influence of the designer.Genetic programm...Evolutionary algorithms have been extensively utilized in practical applications.However,manually designed population updating formulas are inherently prone to the subjective influence of the designer.Genetic programming(GP),characterized by its tree-based solution structure,is a widely adopted technique for optimizing the structure of mathematical models tailored to real-world problems.This paper introduces a GP-based framework(GPEAs)for the autonomous generation of update formulas,aiming to reduce human intervention.Partial modifications to tree-based GP have been instigated,encompassing adjustments to its initialization process and fundamental update operations such as crossover and mutation within the algorithm.By designing suitable function sets and terminal sets tailored to the selected evolutionary algorithm,and ultimately derive an improved update formula.The Cat Swarm Optimization Algorithm(CSO)is chosen as a case study,and the GP-EAs is employed to regenerate the speed update formulas of the CSO.To validate the feasibility of the GP-EAs,the comprehensive performance of the enhanced algorithm(GP-CSO)was evaluated on the CEC2017 benchmark suite.Furthermore,GP-CSO is applied to deduce suitable embedding factors,thereby improving the robustness of the digital watermarking process.The experimental results indicate that the update formulas generated through training with GP-EAs possess excellent performance scalability and practical application proficiency.展开更多

文摘A special recurrent neural network(RNN),that is the zeroing neural network(ZNN),is adopted to find solutions to time-varying quadratic programming(TVQP)problems with equality and inequality constraints.Howevet,there are some weaknesses in activation functions of traditional ZNN models,including convex restriction and redundant formulation.With the aid of different activation functions,modified ZNN models are obtained to overcome the drawbacks for solving TVQP problems.Theoretical and experimental research indicate that the proposed models are better and more effective at solving such TVQP problems.
文摘The physics design of a 3 MeV, 30 mA, 352.2 MHz Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) is done for the future Indian Spallation Neutron Source (ISNS) project at RRCAT, India. The beam dynamics design of RFQ and the error analysis of the input beam parameters are done by using standard beam dynamics code PARMTEQM. The electromagnetic stu-dies for the two-dimensional and three-dimensional cavity design are performed using computer codes SUPERFISH and CST Microwave Studio. The physics design of RFQ consisting of the beam dynamics design near the beam axis and the electromagnetic design for the RFQ resonator is described here.

文摘The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement DesignGuide (AASHTO M-E) offers an opportunity to design more economical and sustainable high-volume rigid pavementscompared to conventional design guidelines. It is achieved through optimizing pavement structural andthickness design under specified climate and traffic conditions using advanced M-E principles, thereby minimizingeconomic costs and environmental impact. However, the implementation of AASHTO M-E design for low-volumeconcrete pavements using AASHTOWare Pavement ME Design (Pavement ME) software is often overly conservative.This is because Pavement ME specifies the minimum design thickness of concrete slab as 152.4 mm (6 in.). Thispaper introduces a novel extension of the AASHTO M-E framework for the design of low-volume joint plain concretepavements (JPCPs) without modification of Pavement ME. It utilizes multi-gene genetic programming (MGGP)-based computational models to obtain rapid solutions for JPCP damage accumulation and long-term performanceanalyses. The developed MGGP models simulate the fatigue damage and differential energy accumulations. Thispermits the prediction of transverse cracking and joint faulting for a wide range of design input parameters and axlespectrum. The developed MGGP-based models match Pavement ME-predicted cracking and faulting for rigidpavements with conventional concrete slab thicknesses and enable rational extrapolation of performance predictionfor thinner JPCPs. This paper demonstrates how the developed computational model enables sustainable lowvolumepavement design using optimized ME solutions for Pittsburgh, PA, conditions.

文摘The level of genetic variation within a breeding population affects the effectiveness of selection strategies for genetic improvement.The relationship between genetic variation level within Pinus tabuliformis breeding populations and selection strategies or selection effectiveness is not fully investigated.Here,we compared the selection effectiveness of combined and individual direct selection strategies using half-and full-sib families produced from advanced-generation P.tabuliformis seed orchard as our test populations.Our results revealed that,within half-sib families,average diameter at breast height(DBH),tree height,and volume growth of superior individuals selected by the direct selection strategy were higher by 7.72%,18.56%,and 31.01%,respectively,than those selected by the combined selection strategy.Furthermore,significant differences(P<0.01)were observed between the two strategies in terms of the expected genetic gains for average tree height and volume.In contrast,within full-sib families,the differences in tree average DBH,height,and volume between the two selection strategies were relatively minor with increase of 0.17%,2.73%,and 2.21%,respectively,and no significant differences were found in the average expected genetic gains for the studied traits.Half-sib families exhibited greater phenotypic and genetic variation,resulting in improved selection efficiency with the direct selection strategy but also introduced a level of inbreeding risk.Based on genetic distance estimates using molecular markers,our comparative seed orchard design analysis showed that the Improved Adaptive Genetic Programming Algorithm(IAPGA)reduced the average inbreeding coefficient by 14.36% and 14.73% compared to sequential and random designs,respectively.In conclusion,the combination of the direct selection strategy with IAPGA seed orchard design aimed at minimizing inbreeding offered an efficient approach for establishing advanced-generation P.tabuliformis seed orchards.
文摘In this paper,a multi-objective sustainable biomass supply chain network under uncertainty is designed by neutrosophic programming method.In this method,for each objective function of the problem,three functions of truth membership,non-determination and falsehood are considered.Neutrosophic programming method in this paper simultaneously seeks to optimize the total costs of the supply chain network,the amount of greenhouse gas emissions,the number of potential people hired and the time of product transfer along the supply chain network.To achieve the stated objective functions,strategic decisions such as locating potential facilities and tactical decisions such as optimal product flow allocation and vehicle routing must be made.The results of the implementation of neutrosophic programming method show the high efficiency of this method in achieving the optimal values of each objective function.Also,by examining the rate of uncertainty,it was observed that with increasing this rate,the total costs of supply chain network design,greenhouse gas emissions and product transfer times have increased,and in contrast,the potential employment rate of individuals has decreased.

文摘In many areas, reliability of the digital circuits has become the key factor to restrict circuit development. Fault-tolerant design is the commonly used method to improve the reliability of digital circuits. The current fault-tolerant design methods are based on triple modular redundancy( TMR) or multiple modular redundancy( MMR). These redundancy designs rely on the experience of the designers,and the designed circuits have poor adaptabilities to a complex environment. However, evolutionary design of digital circuits does not rely on prior knowledge. During the evolution, some novel and optimal circuit topologies can be found, and the evolved circuits can feature strong adaptive capacities. Based on Cartesian genetic programming( CGP), a novel method for designing fault-tolerant digital circuits by evolution is proposed,key steps of the evolution are introduced,influences of function sets on evolution are investigated,and as a preliminary result,an evolved full adder with high fault-tolerance is shown.

文摘Heat integration is important for energy-saving in the process industry.It is linked to the persistently challenging task of optimal design of heat exchanger networks(HEN).Due to the inherent highly nonconvex nonlinear and combinatorial nature of the HEN problem,it is not easy to find solutions of high quality for large-scale problems.The reinforcement learning(RL)method,which learns strategies through ongoing exploration and exploitation,reveals advantages in such area.However,due to the complexity of the HEN design problem,the RL method for HEN should be dedicated and designed.A hybrid strategy combining RL with mathematical programming is proposed to take better advantage of both methods.An insightful state representation of the HEN structure as well as a customized reward function is introduced.A Q-learning algorithm is applied to update the HEN structure using theε-greedy strategy.Better results are obtained from three literature cases of different scales.

文摘G protein coupled receptor kinase 2 (GRK2) is a kinase that regulates cardiac signaling activity. Inhibiting GRK2 is a promising mechanism for the treatment of heart failure (HF). Further development and optimization of inhibitors targeting GRK2 are highly meaningful. Therefore, in order to design GRK2 inhibitors with better performance, the most active molecule was selected as a reference compound from a data set containing 4-pyridylhydrazone derivatives and triazole derivatives, and its scaffold was extracted as the initial scaffold. Then, a powerful optimization-based framework for de novo drug design, guided by binding affinity, was used to generate a virtual molecular library targeting GRK2. The binding affinity of each virtual compound in this dataset was predicted by our developed deep learning model, and the designed potential compound with high binding affinity was selected for molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation. It was found that the designed potential molecule binds to the ATP site of GRK2, which consists of key amino acids including Arg199, Gly200, Phe202, Val205, Lys220, Met274 and Asp335. The scaffold of the molecule is stabilized mainly by H-bonding and hydrophobic contacts. Concurrently, the reference compound in the dataset was also simulated by docking. It was found that this molecule also binds to the ATP site of GRK2. In addition, its scaffold is stabilized mainly by H-bonding and π-cation stacking interactions with Lys220, as well as hydrophobic contacts. The above results show that the designed potential molecule has similar binding modes to the reference compound, supporting the effectiveness of our framework for activity-focused molecular design. Finally, we summarized the interaction characteristics of general GRK2 inhibitors and gained insight into their molecule-target binding mechanisms, thereby facilitating the expansion of lead to hit compound.

文摘Project construction and development are an impor-tant part of future army designs.In today’s world,intelligent war-fare and joint operations have become the dominant develop-ments in warfare,so the construction and development of the army need top-down,top-level design,and comprehensive plan-ning.The traditional project development model is no longer suf-ficient to meet the army’s complex capability requirements.Projects in various fields need to be developed and coordinated to form a joint force and improve the army’s combat effective-ness.At the same time,when a program consists of large-scale project data,the effectiveness of the traditional,precise mathe-matical planning method is greatly reduced because it is time-consuming,costly,and impractical.To solve above problems,this paper proposes a multi-stage program optimization model based on a heterogeneous network and hybrid genetic algo-rithm and verifies the effectiveness and feasibility of the model and algorithm through an example.The results show that the hybrid algorithm proposed in this paper is better than the exist-ing meta-heuristic algorithm.

文摘Soft robots, inspired by the flexibility and versatility of biological organisms, have potential in a variety of applications. Recent advancements in magneto-soft robots have demonstrated their abilities to achieve precise remote control through magnetic fields, enabling multi-modal locomotion and complex manipulation tasks. Nonetheless, two main hurdles must be overcome to advance the field: developing a multi-component substrate with embedded magnetic particles to ensure the requisite flexibility and responsiveness, and devising a cost-effective,straightforward method to program three-dimensional distributed magnetic domains without complex processing and expensive machinery. Here, we introduce a cost-effective and simple heat-assisted in-situ integrated molding fabrication method for creating magnetically driven soft robots with three-dimensional programmable magnetic domains. By synthesizing a composite material with neodymium-iron-boron(NdFeB) particles embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and Ecoflex matrix(PDMS:Ecoflex = 1:2 mass ratio, 50% magnetic particle concentration), we achieved an optimized balance of flexibility, strength, and magnetic responsiveness. The proposed heat-assisted in-situ magnetic domains programming technique,performed at an experimentally optimized temperature of 120℃, resulted in a 2 times magnetization strength(9.5 mT) compared to that at 20℃(4.8 m T), reaching a saturation level comparable to a commercial magnetizer. We demonstrated the versatility of our approach through the fabrication of six kinds of robots, including two kinds of two-dimensional patterned soft robots(2D-PSR), a circular six-pole domain distribution magnetic robot(2D-CSPDMR), a quadrupedal walking magnetic soft robot(QWMSR), an object manipulation robot(OMR), and a hollow thin-walled spherical magneto-soft robot(HTWSMSR). The proposed method provides a practical solution to create highly responsive and adaptable magneto-soft robots.

文摘In this paper,the application of Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA)is investigated in a multiple-input single-output network consisting of multiple legitimate users and a potential eavesdropper.To support secure transmissions from legitimate users,two NOMA Secrecy Sum Rate Transmit Beam Forming(NOMA-SSR-TBF)schemes are proposed to maximise the SSR of a Base Station(BS)with sufficient and insufficient transmit power.For BS with sufficient transmit power,an artificial jamming beamforming design scheme is proposed to disrupt the potential eavesdropping without impacting the legitimate transmissions.In addition,for BS with insufficient transmit power,a modified successive interference cancellation decoding sequence is used to reduce the impact of artificial jamming on legitimate transmissions.More specifically,iterative algorithm for the successive convex approximation are provided to jointly optimise the vectors of transmit beamforming and artificial jamming.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed NOMA-SSR-TBF schemes outperforms the existing works,such as the maximized artificial jamming power scheme,the maximized artificial jamming power scheme with artificial jamming beamforming design and maximized secrecy sum rate scheme without artificial jamming beamforming design.

文摘Electromagnetic sandwich metastructure(ESM)consisting of different functional layers,has gained in-creasing attention in radiation prevention and radar stealth.However,the current ESM design is primar-ily based on the separation design method,ignoring electromagnetic-mechanical interactions between layers.Thus,subject to thin thickness constraint of ESM,it is a great challenge to achieve broadband microwave absorption(MA)and excellent mechanical performance simultaneously.To address this is-sue,an electromagnetic-mechanical collaborative design approach was proposed for ESM.The relations of geometric-electromagnetic and geometric-mechanical of ESM were first identified by machine learn-ing.They were then integrated with the heuristic genetic optimization algorithm to perform the highly efficient design.The designed ESM can achieve 36.4 GHz effective absorption bandwidth(EAB,RL≤-10 dB),334.3 MPa equivalent bending strength and 83 MPa compressive strength with a thickness of 9.3 mm,possessing the widest EAB and highest bending strength within the current available MA struc-tures(thickness less than 9.5 mm).The proposed approach provides an efficient tool for the design of electromagnetic-mechanical optimal ESM.

文摘The penetration of ogival-nosed projectiles into ship plates represents a complex impact dynamics issue essential for analyzing structural failuremechanisms.Although stiffenedplates are vital in ship construction,fewstudies have addressed the issue of model equivalence under penetration loading.This study employs numerical simulation to validate an experiment with an ogival-nosed projectile penetrating a Q345 steel plate.Four equivalent stiffened plate methods are proposed based on the area,flexural modulus,moment of inertia,and thickness.The results indicate that thickness equivalence(DM4)is unsuitable for penetration-loaded stiffened plates,except under low-speed,nonpenetrating through impacts,and yields less accuracy than DM1/DM3.DM1,DM2,and DM3 each perform optimally with specific velocity ranges:DM1 at very low(critical)and high velocities,DM3 at low velocities,and DM2 at high speeds.Furthermore,in penetration scenarios,T-shaped stiffeners can be replacedwith rectangular ones,as both exhibit similar failure behaviors and deflection trends,simplifying the design while preserving key structural characteristics.These findings provide valuable insights into the design of protective ship structures.

文摘Controllable liquid manipulation is of paramount scientific and technological importance in various fields,such as the chemical industry,biomedicine,and agricultural production.Magnetic actuation,characterized by rapid,contactless,and environmentally benign operation,has emerged as a promising approach for precise liquid control.However,conventional magnetic strategies typically govern droplet movement on open surfaces,facing limitations such as restricted liquid volumes,uncertain flow paths,and inevitable evaporation,thereby constraining their broader practical applications.Recently,a variety of magneticdriven strategies have been developed to dynamically regulate liquids within enclosed spaces,especially through physicochemical mechanisms.These approaches provide efficient control over liquid behavior by leveraging magnetically induced chemical changes,structural deformations,and dragging motions,opening new opportunities for flexible and versatile fluid management.This review explores the design and mechanisms of magneto-responsive confined interfaces for the manipulation of nonmagnetic liquids,highlighting key advancements and potential applications including liquid valves,liquid mixing,liquid flow regulation,and liquid pumping.Finally,the existing challenges and future prospects in this field are presented.
文摘Evolutionary algorithms have been extensively utilized in practical applications.However,manually designed population updating formulas are inherently prone to the subjective influence of the designer.Genetic programming(GP),characterized by its tree-based solution structure,is a widely adopted technique for optimizing the structure of mathematical models tailored to real-world problems.This paper introduces a GP-based framework(GPEAs)for the autonomous generation of update formulas,aiming to reduce human intervention.Partial modifications to tree-based GP have been instigated,encompassing adjustments to its initialization process and fundamental update operations such as crossover and mutation within the algorithm.By designing suitable function sets and terminal sets tailored to the selected evolutionary algorithm,and ultimately derive an improved update formula.The Cat Swarm Optimization Algorithm(CSO)is chosen as a case study,and the GP-EAs is employed to regenerate the speed update formulas of the CSO.To validate the feasibility of the GP-EAs,the comprehensive performance of the enhanced algorithm(GP-CSO)was evaluated on the CEC2017 benchmark suite.Furthermore,GP-CSO is applied to deduce suitable embedding factors,thereby improving the robustness of the digital watermarking process.The experimental results indicate that the update formulas generated through training with GP-EAs possess excellent performance scalability and practical application proficiency.

文摘Chiral metamaterials are manmade structures with extraordinary mechanical properties derived from their special geometric design instead of chemical composition.To make the mechanical deformation programmable,the non-uniform rational B-spline(NURBS)curves are taken to replace the traditional ligament boundaries of the chiral structure.The Neural networks are innovatively inserted into the calculation of mechanical properties of the chiral structure instead of finite element methods to improve computational efficiency.For the problem of finding structure configuration with specified mechanical properties,such as Young’s modulus,Poisson’s ratio or deformation,an inverse design method using the Neural network-based proxy model is proposed to build the relationship between mechanical properties and geometric configuration.To satisfy some more complex deformation requirements,a non-homogeneous inverse design method is proposed and verified through simulation and experiments.Numerical and test results reveal the high computational efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method in the design of chiral metamaterials.
