User space transformation in deep learning based recommendation

Deep learning based recommendation methods, such as the recurrent neural network based recommendation method(RNNRec) and the gated recurrent unit(GRU) based recommendation method(GRURec), are proposed to solve the problem of time heterogeneous feedback recommendation. These methods out-perform several state-of-the-art methods. However, in RNNRec and GRURec, action vectors and item vectors are shared among users. The different meanings of the same action for different users are not considered. Similarly, different user preference for the same item is also ignored. To address this problem, the models of RNNRec and GRURec are modified in this paper. In the proposed methods, action vectors and item vectors are transformed into the user space for each user firstly, and then the transformed vectors are fed into the original neural networks of RNNRec and GRURec. The transformed action vectors and item vectors represent the user specified meaning of actions and the preference for items, which makes the proposed method obtain more accurate recommendation results. The experimental results on two real-life datasets indicate that the proposed method outperforms RNNRec and GRURec as well as other state-of-the-art approaches in most cases. 展开更多

A whole-space transform formula of cylindrical wave functions for scattering problems

The theory of elastic wave scattering is a fundamental concept in the study of elastic dynamics and wave motion,and the wave function expansion technique has been widely used in many subjects.To supply the essential tools for solving wave scattering problems induced by an eccentric source or multi-sources as well as multi-scatters,a whole-space transform formula of cylindrical wave functions is presented and its applicability to some simple cases is demonstrated in this study.The transforms of wave functions in cylindrical coordinates can be classifi ed into two basic types: interior transform and exterior transform,and the existing Graf’s addition theorem is only suitable for the former.By performing a new replacement between the two coordinates,the exterior transform formula is fi rst deduced.It is then combined with Graf’s addition theorem to establish a whole-space transform formula.By using the whole-space transform formula,the scattering solutions by the sources outside and inside a cylindrical cavity are constructed as examples of its application.The effectiveness and advantages of the whole-space transform formula is illustrated by comparison with the approximate model based on a large cycle method.The whole-space transform formula presented herein can be used to perform the transform between two different cylindrical coordinates in the whole space.In addition,its concept and principle are universal and can be further extended to establish the coordinate transform formula of wave functions in other coordinate systems. 展开更多

Dependence among random input variables affects importantly the results of probabilistic load flow(PLF),system economic operation,and system security.To solve this problem,the main objectiveness of the paper is to analyze the performance of several schemes for simulating correlated variables combined with the point estimate method(PEM).Unlike the existing works that considering one single scheme combined with Monte Carlo simulation(MCS) or PEM,by neglecting the correlation among random input variables,four schemes were presented for disposing the dependence of correlated random variables,including Nataf transformation /polynomial normal transformation(PINT) combined with orthogonal transformation(OT) / elementary transformation(ET).Combining with the 2m+1 approach of PEM,a space transformation-based formulation was proposed and adopted for solving the PLF.The proposed approach is applied in the modified IEEE 30-bus system while considering correlated wind generations and load demands.Numerical results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared with those obtained from the MCS.Results also show that the scheme of combining Nataf transformation and ET with PEM provides the best performance. 展开更多

Quantitative imaging of luminescent signals,ranging from electrochemiluminescence(ECL)and chemiluminescence to colorimetric assays,is increasingly performed using consumer-grade digital cameras and smartphones.However,device-dependent variability,nonlinear signal encoding,and the absence of standardized workflows hinder reproducibility and quantification accuracy.This work presents a generalized methodology for robust signal quantification in luminescent systems using digital imaging,with ECL as a model case.By combining synchronized electrochemical control,manual optimization of imaging parameters,gamma correction,and color space transformations,accurate device-independent analysis is enabled.Using Ru(bpy)_(3)^(2+)/TPrA as a test system,we evaluate RGB,CIEXYZ,and CIELAB color spaces,identifying optimal channels for sensitivity and dynamic range.Our performance assessment underscores the importance of transfer function selection and supports both linear and nonlinear quantification models.Results show that linearized r and X color channels offer broad dynamic ranges with moderate sensitivity,while encoded R and a*channels provide higher sensitivity at low concentrations,requiring nonlinear modeling to extend their quantification range.This scalable approach enables standardized,high-throughput optical analysis using low-cost camera platforms,with broad applications in diagnostics,biosensing,and analytical chemistry. 展开更多

视频字幕生成(Video Captioning)旨在用自然语言描述视频中的内容,在人机交互、辅助视障人士、体育视频解说等领域具有广泛的应用前景。然而视频中复杂的时空内容变化增加了视频字幕生成的难度,之前的方法通过提取时空特征、先验信息等... 视频字幕生成(Video Captioning)旨在用自然语言描述视频中的内容,在人机交互、辅助视障人士、体育视频解说等领域具有广泛的应用前景。然而视频中复杂的时空内容变化增加了视频字幕生成的难度,之前的方法通过提取时空特征、先验信息等方式提高生成字幕的质量,但在时空联合建模方面仍存在不足,可能导致视觉信息提取不充分,影响字幕生成结果。为了解决这个问题,本文提出一种新颖的时空增强的状态空间模型和Transformer(SpatioTemporal-enhanced State space model and Transformer,ST2)模型,通过引入最近流行的具有全局感受野和线性的计算复杂度的Mamba(一种状态空间模型),增强时空联合建模能力。首先,通过将Mamba与Transformer并行结合,提出空间增强的状态空间模型(State Space Model,SSM)和Transformer(Spatial enHanced State space model and Transformer module,SH-ST),克服了卷积的感受野问题并降低计算复杂度,同时增强模型提取空间信息的能力。然后为了增强时间建模,我们利用Mamba的时间扫描特性,并结合Transformer的全局建模能力,提出时间增强的SSM和Transformer(Temporal enHanced State space model and Transformer module,TH-ST)。具体地,我们对SH-ST产生的特征进行重排序,从而使Mamba以交叉扫描的方式增强重排序后特征的时间关系,最后用Transformer进一步增强时间建模能力。实验结果表明,我们ST2模型中SH-ST和TH-ST结构设计的有效性,且在广泛使用的视频字幕生成数据集MSVD和MSR-VTT上取得了具有竞争力的结果。具体的,我们的方法分别在MSVD和MSR-VTT数据集上的绝对CIDEr分数超过最先进的结果6.9%和2.6%,在MSVD上的绝对CIDEr分数超过了基线结果4.9%。 展开更多

We reexamined the elastic collision problems in the special relativity for both one and two dimensions from a different point of view. In order to obtain the final states in the laboratory system of the collision problems, almost all textbooks in the special relativity calculated the simultaneous equations. In contrast to this, we make a detour through the center-of-mass system. The two frames of references are connected by the Lorentz transformation with the velocity of the center-of-mass. This route for obtaining the final states is easy for students to understand the collision problems. For one dimensional case, we also give an example for illustrating the states of the particles in the Minkowski momentum space, which shows the whole story of the collision. 展开更多

For overcoming these disadvantages, a Modified T/2 Fractionally Spaced blind Equalization algorithm based on Coordinate Transformation and CMA (T/2-FSE-MCTCMA) was proposed by analyzing the character of 16QAM signal constellations. In the proposed algorithm, real and imaginary parts of input signal of T/2 fractionally spaced blind equalizer are equalized, respectively, and output signals of equalizer are transformed to the same unit circle by coordinate transformation method, a new error function is defined after making coordinate transformation and used to adjust weight vector of T/2 fractionally spaced blind equalizer. The proposed algorithm can overcome large misjudgments of T/2 fractionally spaced blind equalization algorithm for equalizing multi-modulus higher order QAM. Simulation results with underwater acoustic channel models demonstrate that the proposed T/2-FSE-MCTCMA algorithm outperforms T/2 Fractionally Spaced blind Equalization algorithm bas-ed on Coordinate Transformation and CMA (T/2-FSE-CTCMA) and the T/2-FSE-CMA in convergence rate and MSE. 展开更多

The equations governing incompressible and compressible inviscid flows and written in the physical frame ( t,x,y,z ) are known to be linearly well posed and exhibit elliptic or hyperbolic nature. The linear well posedness is considered here for these equations under a space time transformation ( t,x,y,z)→(τ,ξ,η,ζ ), where the pseudo time τ and the new space coordinate ( ξ,η,ζ ) all depend on ( t,x,y,z ). Such a transformation could be useful for uniformly treating problems in which the flow is fast unsteady somewhere and slow unsteady or steady elsewhere. It is found that the transformation may alter the ellipticity, the hyperbolicty, and even the well posedness of the original equations. In one dimension, the transformed incompressible flow equations become weakly hyperbolic and the compressible ones could degenerate to elliptical equations. In high dimensions there are conditions such that the transformed equations become ill posed. 展开更多

This paper aims to identify the effects of these new digital factors to transform public spaces, and the influences of large media display on the interaction between urban spaces and pedestrians. 为了更加准确和可靠地在监控图像中对火灾进行早期监测,以便辅助火焰检测仪器更加高效和准确地检测火焰,文中基于Transformer算法和PJF颜色空间,设计了一种深度学习的火灾图像检测算法。首先,对数据集中的火灾图像数据进行预处理,将图像... 为了更加准确和可靠地在监控图像中对火灾进行早期监测,以便辅助火焰检测仪器更加高效和准确地检测火焰,文中基于Transformer算法和PJF颜色空间,设计了一种深度学习的火灾图像检测算法。首先,对数据集中的火灾图像数据进行预处理,将图像从RGB颜色空间转化为PJF颜色空间,突出显示图像的火焰区域;然后,将预处理后的图像输入到Swin Transformer网络中,过程中采用注意力机制、移动窗口机制、相对位置偏移机制对火灾图像进行特征提取;最后,将提取的图像特征送入全连接层,获取火灾图像的检测结果。实验结果表明:该算法在测试数据集的准确率达到了98.6%。该算法同时采用迁移学习的方法,测试数据集的准确率提升至99.1%,对提高广西森林火灾防控监督效能和实现深度学习智能监测森林和城市视频火灾情况具有现实意义。 展开更多

基于跨色彩空间Transformer的水下图像增强

由于水下小颗粒、浮游生物造成光衰减、散射现象,从而导致水下图像存在雾霾效应及模糊,大大影响人眼对水下图像的视觉感知。为了解决这2个问题,提出一个基于跨色彩空间Transformer的水下图像增强模型(简称为Tcolor)。在这个模型中,采用... 由于水下小颗粒、浮游生物造成光衰减、散射现象,从而导致水下图像存在雾霾效应及模糊,大大影响人眼对水下图像的视觉感知。为了解决这2个问题,提出一个基于跨色彩空间Transformer的水下图像增强模型(简称为Tcolor)。在这个模型中,采用RGB、HSV、LAB三色彩空间U-Net进行特征提取,通过通道传输注意力模块突出最具有区分度的通道和区域。此外,使用跨色彩空间Transformer模块保证增强图像的全局一致性,有效避免伪影的产生,同时在Transformer模块中加入卷积保留局部细节。最后,提出一个联合损失函数进一步提升模型的能力。在2种公开的数据集上进行对比实验,与次优的数据相比,评价指标PSNR提高了6.87%,SSIM提高了6.22%,UIQM提高了2.53%。在主观感知和客观评估中,增强后的图像在细节、对比度和一致性方面均得到了提升。 展开更多
