This study examines interconnections among human resource(HR)professionals’HR analytics competencies,top management support,HR analytics deployment,outcomes of HR,and organisational performance.The data are gathered ...This study examines interconnections among human resource(HR)professionals’HR analytics competencies,top management support,HR analytics deployment,outcomes of HR,and organisational performance.The data are gathered from 364 HR professionals working in 50 leading companies across Sri Lanka,such as telecommunications,banking and finance,education,tourism,textiles,and healthcare and energy.Each company contributed responses from 7 to 10 HR professionals at senior,middle,and junior levels.Mediation effects are examined using the Baron and Kenny method,along with Process Macro,while regression analysis tests the moderation effect.Structural equation modelling is utilised to assess model fitness,including the reliability and validity of the constructs.The findings support seven hypotheses:(1)HR professionals’HR analytics competency significantly and positively influences HR analytics deployment,(2)HR related outcomes are positively affected by the execution of HR analytics,(3)organisational performance is favourably affected by HR outcomes,(4)HR analytics deployment enhances the performance of the organisation,(5)the HR analytics deployment intervenes the linkage amid HR analytics competencies of HR professionals and HR related outcomes,(6)HR analytics deployment has a mediated effect on organisational performance via HR related outcomes,and(7)the connection between HR professionals analytics competencies and the HR analytics deployment is moderated by the support given by top management.The results of this investigation inspire human resource experts to uphold human resource analytics(evidence-based HRM),particularly in emerging countries like Sri Lanka.A new conceptual model rooted in the analytics value chain theory and contextually-based human resource theory is constructed and empirically tested in this research.展开更多

Effective mitigation of supply disruption is a crucial issue for many retailers.Although prior studies of supply disruption mainly focused on the sale of a single product,the bundling of products is one of the importa...Effective mitigation of supply disruption is a crucial issue for many retailers.Although prior studies of supply disruption mainly focused on the sale of a single product,the bundling of products is one of the important marketing tools that significantly impact businesses’profitability.In this study,we investigate a retailer who uses a dual-sourcing strategy for complementary products.The problem is formulated under different selling strategies,i.e.,separate selling,pure bundling,and mixed bundling.In each strategy,the concavity of the objective function is explored,and a solution algorithm is proposed.The results show that pure bundling is more sensitive to supply disruption than mixed bundling and separate selling.Actually,under pure bundling,the retailer transfers its sourcing strategy from dual to single sourcing even under a low probability of supply disruption.Furthermore,when bundle price elasticity is high,separate selling outperforms bundling and mixed bundling.展开更多

This research develops a mathematical model for the integrated lot-sizing and job-shop scheduling problem in which supplier selection and purchase lot-sizing are incorporated into the production lot-sizing problem.A C...This research develops a mathematical model for the integrated lot-sizing and job-shop scheduling problem in which supplier selection and purchase lot-sizing are incorporated into the production lot-sizing problem.A Chance Constrained Programming(CCP)approach is applied to formulate them in a General Lot-sizing and Scheduling Problem(GLSP)model.Some numerical experiments are performed to evaluate the efficiency of the model’s results.The computational analysis indicates that when the production and purchase lot-sizing decisions are taken simultaneously,combined cost of production and purchase(and thus the total cost)is lower than when these decisions are made hierarchically.The average cost of the integrated model is 4.03%less than the non-integrated model.This improvement is mostly made in the purchase lot-sizing cost because through applying the integrated model,the company can recognize the best time of procuring materials from the best suppliers and use their discount schemes.展开更多

In existing linguistic decision-making(LDM)methods,individual decision maker generally evaluates alternatives through a single-round evaluation process,in which only preliminary cognition of individual decision maker ...In existing linguistic decision-making(LDM)methods,individual decision maker generally evaluates alternatives through a single-round evaluation process,in which only preliminary cognition of individual decision maker can be excavated.This results in the evaluation provided by individual decision maker may not well reflect their integrated preference through the single-round evaluation process.To address this issue,a multi-round evaluation process should be designed,in which the decision maker can constantly renew his or her acquired cognition through previous rounds of evaluation and further updates his or her evaluation.In this paper,a cognitive-driven LDM method based on the multi-round evaluation process is proposed to overcome the insufficiency of existing methods in adequately exploring the decision maker comprehensive cognition.First,the transition process of linguistic term(LT)of the alternative induced by decision maker’s cognition renewal is modeled as a Markov chain.The transition probability from one state to another within the state space is then created to obtain the incomplete transition matrix,whose entropy rate is maximized to derive the complete transition matrix via the constructed convex optimization problem.The stable distributions of alternatives can be generated based on their complete transition matrices.The aggregated stable distributions of alternatives are obtained by minimizing the dissimilarity between them and the individual stable distributions of alternatives on the criteria.On this basis,the ranking order of alternatives can be generated.The proposed method is further applied to a diagnostic ultrasound system selection problem for demonstrating its applicability and effectiveness.The comparative experiment reveals the significance of considering decision maker’s renewal cognition in the multi-round decision-making process.This paper provides insights on improving decision-making quality through the modeling of decision maker’s acquired cognition in the multi-round decision-making processes.展开更多
This work conducts a data-driven comparative analysis of sustainable industrial development potential across the 31 provinces of Iran.Such an analysis requires the consideration of multiple indicators,espousing the ne...This work conducts a data-driven comparative analysis of sustainable industrial development potential across the 31 provinces of Iran.Such an analysis requires the consideration of multiple indicators,espousing the need for an integrated multi-criteria decision-making approach.Weights were assigned to the indices using the Method Based on the Removal Effects of Criteria(MEREC),while province rankings were determined through a mulTi-noRmalization mUlti-distance aSsessmenT(TRUST)approach.Findings highlight a spatial disparity among the provinces of Iran concerning their industrial indices.Despite certain provinces boasting substantial potential,their actual development has been largely disproportionate.In the province rankings based on industrial indices,Khuzestan province secures the top position,while Ilam province holds the lowest position among the 31 provinces of Iran.The results underscore the need to accord special attention to the sustainable industrial development of Iranian provinces,particularly those with significant potential.Sensitivity analysis suggests the robustness of the proposed integrated approach.展开更多
Modernization affects social,environmental,and economic structures in ways that are both positive and negative,and it makes it impossible to maintain equilibrium in sustainable practices.In this context,optimization h...Modernization affects social,environmental,and economic structures in ways that are both positive and negative,and it makes it impossible to maintain equilibrium in sustainable practices.In this context,optimization has received a lot of attention.Even though the comprehensive models that integrate queuing systems,uncertainty,and reverse logistics emphasize the necessity.This study considers a four-echelon closed-loop green supply chain including a third-party collector under a stochastic environment.The products are transported through fleets to different centers forming a queue system during loading/unloading time.The effective energy consumption and carbon emission occur at the time of production,transportation,waiting in the loading center,reverse logistics,disposal,etc.To reduce this environmental impact,a mathematical model has been developed under different collection strategies.A numerical example is considered for the proposed model,followed by a sensitivity analysis,to investigate the significant role of the parameters.The findings indicate that the extensive use of returned product can have a positive impact on the environment and influence all the supply chain decisions.Therefore,the management policy should place major emphasis on the best collection strategy that can benefit the ecological and economic environments.展开更多

This study investigates the role of generative large language models(GLLMs)in supporting complex selection and evaluation tasks within the academic paper review process.Using empirical data from management journal sub...This study investigates the role of generative large language models(GLLMs)in supporting complex selection and evaluation tasks within the academic paper review process.Using empirical data from management journal submissions,we compared the performance of six leading GLLMs(Claude 3.5,GPT-4O,Gemini 2.5,Deepseek-R3,Moonshot-V1(kimi),and Qwen-Long)against human editors and reviewers.The results show that,at the editorial screening stage,GLLMs can help editors identify manuscripts with low publication potential,with aggregated model scores closely matching human editorial decisions.At the review stage,comments generated by the union of any three GLLMs from six GLLMs can cover over 61%of issues raised by human reviewers and are rated as superior by management professors.These findings demonstrate that GLLMs can complement human judgment in multi-stage,knowledge-intensive decision processes,improving both the efficiency and quality of academic paper reviews.The study expands the application boundaries of generative Al in management research evaluation and offers practical insights for integrating GLLMs into scholarly review workflows.展开更多
The environmental,social,and governance(ESG)report is globally recognized as a keystone in sustainable enterprise development.However,current literature has not concluded the development of topics and trends in ESG co...The environmental,social,and governance(ESG)report is globally recognized as a keystone in sustainable enterprise development.However,current literature has not concluded the development of topics and trends in ESG contexts in the twenty-first century.Therefore,we selected 1114 ESG reports from global firms in the technology industry to analyze the evolutionary trends of ESG topics by text mining.We discovered the homogenization effect toward low environmental,medium governance,and high social features in the evolution.We also designed a strategic framework to look closer into the dynamic changes of firms’within-industry representiveness and cross-sector distinctiveness,which demonstrates corporate social responsibility and sustainability.We found that companies are gradually converging toward the third quadrant,which indicates that firms contribute less to industrial outstanding and professional distinctiveness in ESG reporting.Firms choose to imitate ESG reports from each other to mitigate uncertainty and enhance behavioral legitimacy.展开更多

文摘Effective mitigation of supply disruption is a crucial issue for many retailers.Although prior studies of supply disruption mainly focused on the sale of a single product,the bundling of products is one of the important marketing tools that significantly impact businesses’profitability.In this study,we investigate a retailer who uses a dual-sourcing strategy for complementary products.The problem is formulated under different selling strategies,i.e.,separate selling,pure bundling,and mixed bundling.In each strategy,the concavity of the objective function is explored,and a solution algorithm is proposed.The results show that pure bundling is more sensitive to supply disruption than mixed bundling and separate selling.Actually,under pure bundling,the retailer transfers its sourcing strategy from dual to single sourcing even under a low probability of supply disruption.Furthermore,when bundle price elasticity is high,separate selling outperforms bundling and mixed bundling.
文摘The adoption of blockchain technology(BCT)in supply chains presents a complex interplay of costs and benefits.While higher adoption rates can lead to significant reductions in costs,they also impose higher ongoing costs related to infrastructure,energy consumption,and technical maintenance.Through the utilization of system dynamics(SD)and regression methods,this study explores the intricate relationship between adoption rates,associated costs,and failure rates of blockchain implementation.Afterwards,a mathematical model is designed to optimize the adoption rate in order to reduce costs.The functions obtained from regression are integrated into this model,leading to the determination of the adoption rate.The results indicate that increasing the adoption rate may not always be profitable and could potentially increase costs.In this study,an adoption rate of 0.567 is obtained,suggesting that at this adoption rate,costs reach their minimum level,and that at higher or lower rates,costs increase.
文摘This research develops a mathematical model for the integrated lot-sizing and job-shop scheduling problem in which supplier selection and purchase lot-sizing are incorporated into the production lot-sizing problem.A Chance Constrained Programming(CCP)approach is applied to formulate them in a General Lot-sizing and Scheduling Problem(GLSP)model.Some numerical experiments are performed to evaluate the efficiency of the model’s results.The computational analysis indicates that when the production and purchase lot-sizing decisions are taken simultaneously,combined cost of production and purchase(and thus the total cost)is lower than when these decisions are made hierarchically.The average cost of the integrated model is 4.03%less than the non-integrated model.This improvement is mostly made in the purchase lot-sizing cost because through applying the integrated model,the company can recognize the best time of procuring materials from the best suppliers and use their discount schemes.
文摘At the dawn of the 5th Industrial Revolution,the Human Resource Department(HRD),at least for large enterprises,is attempting to modernize its procedures by integrating data analytics technology into its various functions.This study performs a systematic literature review of Human Resources Analytics(HRA),examining first the 1984-1999 period,which is considered the precursor era of data analytics and HRD’s first attempt to effectively analyze its data,continuing with the 2000-2018 period,which is the period when research on the use of analytics in the HRD was launched,and reaching the current period(2018-2022),when the use of analytics in the HRD was fully developed.One hundred and forty-three relevant researches published in well-recognized scientific journals have been identified and studied,in an attempt to present a comprehensive study on the use of HRA.

文摘In existing linguistic decision-making(LDM)methods,individual decision maker generally evaluates alternatives through a single-round evaluation process,in which only preliminary cognition of individual decision maker can be excavated.This results in the evaluation provided by individual decision maker may not well reflect their integrated preference through the single-round evaluation process.To address this issue,a multi-round evaluation process should be designed,in which the decision maker can constantly renew his or her acquired cognition through previous rounds of evaluation and further updates his or her evaluation.In this paper,a cognitive-driven LDM method based on the multi-round evaluation process is proposed to overcome the insufficiency of existing methods in adequately exploring the decision maker comprehensive cognition.First,the transition process of linguistic term(LT)of the alternative induced by decision maker’s cognition renewal is modeled as a Markov chain.The transition probability from one state to another within the state space is then created to obtain the incomplete transition matrix,whose entropy rate is maximized to derive the complete transition matrix via the constructed convex optimization problem.The stable distributions of alternatives can be generated based on their complete transition matrices.The aggregated stable distributions of alternatives are obtained by minimizing the dissimilarity between them and the individual stable distributions of alternatives on the criteria.On this basis,the ranking order of alternatives can be generated.The proposed method is further applied to a diagnostic ultrasound system selection problem for demonstrating its applicability and effectiveness.The comparative experiment reveals the significance of considering decision maker’s renewal cognition in the multi-round decision-making process.This paper provides insights on improving decision-making quality through the modeling of decision maker’s acquired cognition in the multi-round decision-making processes.
文摘This work conducts a data-driven comparative analysis of sustainable industrial development potential across the 31 provinces of Iran.Such an analysis requires the consideration of multiple indicators,espousing the need for an integrated multi-criteria decision-making approach.Weights were assigned to the indices using the Method Based on the Removal Effects of Criteria(MEREC),while province rankings were determined through a mulTi-noRmalization mUlti-distance aSsessmenT(TRUST)approach.Findings highlight a spatial disparity among the provinces of Iran concerning their industrial indices.Despite certain provinces boasting substantial potential,their actual development has been largely disproportionate.In the province rankings based on industrial indices,Khuzestan province secures the top position,while Ilam province holds the lowest position among the 31 provinces of Iran.The results underscore the need to accord special attention to the sustainable industrial development of Iranian provinces,particularly those with significant potential.Sensitivity analysis suggests the robustness of the proposed integrated approach.
文摘Modernization affects social,environmental,and economic structures in ways that are both positive and negative,and it makes it impossible to maintain equilibrium in sustainable practices.In this context,optimization has received a lot of attention.Even though the comprehensive models that integrate queuing systems,uncertainty,and reverse logistics emphasize the necessity.This study considers a four-echelon closed-loop green supply chain including a third-party collector under a stochastic environment.The products are transported through fleets to different centers forming a queue system during loading/unloading time.The effective energy consumption and carbon emission occur at the time of production,transportation,waiting in the loading center,reverse logistics,disposal,etc.To reduce this environmental impact,a mathematical model has been developed under different collection strategies.A numerical example is considered for the proposed model,followed by a sensitivity analysis,to investigate the significant role of the parameters.The findings indicate that the extensive use of returned product can have a positive impact on the environment and influence all the supply chain decisions.Therefore,the management policy should place major emphasis on the best collection strategy that can benefit the ecological and economic environments.
文摘This paper presents an integrated inventory model that examines imperfect production processes in the context of intuitionistic fuzzy demand.Defective products identified during the inspection process undergo rework before being released for sale.The dynamic production system allows for adaptability to the environment,with the production cost tied to the variability in production rates.Acknowledging the substantial carbon dioxide emissions from industries and transportation,the manufacturer aligns item production with carbon emission levels and incurs a corresponding carbon emission tax.Market demand for the item is represented as a triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number due to inherent uncertainty.The primary objective of this study is to minimize the integrated cost function of the proposed model through multivariable calculus.Numerical experiments are conducted to assess the model’s performance,and sensitivity analysis is employed to validate the effectiveness of the optimal parameters.

文摘E-business develops rapidly and attracts a large number of merchants and consumers in the past 20 years.Meanwhile,the debate over e-business mode and its critical success factors(CSFs)is a research hotspot in the industry and the academia.In this study,we propose the CSFs framework of self-run e-business by combining systematic literature review,resource orchestration theory,and empirical firm survey.The quantitative method of content analysis is targeted at the interview data received from 90 managers of JD.com by software NVivo 11.We construct a self-run e-business CSFs framework and find out that the CSFs of self-run e-business are products,organization,and supply chain,respectively.In addition,this study compares different characteristics and their impact on performance in platform-type and self-run e-businesses.Firm managers can derive a better understanding and measurement of e-business activities.
文摘The new Industry 5.0 paradigm takes into consideration the use of new technologies in interaction with human capabilities and in relation to the dimensions of sustainability.It is necessary to examine the environmental dimensions and human interactions along with the use of new technologies for the paradigm shift.Therefore,the present study aims to evaluate the relationship between technological innovation with sustainability and human talent management in organizations.The first section deals with the development of research hypotheses according to previous studies and a conceptual model is formed.In the second section,the relationships between model variables in the statistical population were evaluated.In this survey,manufacturing companies active in the Middle East region are investigated due to the special characteristics of this region.The required data were collected using a developed questionnaire.We found that technological innovations have a positive impact on talent management and sustainability.Also,talent management can have a positive impact on sustainability in the organization.Thus,according to the Industry 5.0 paradigm,managers of companies should pay attention to the effects of the technology used in order to achieve sustainability and natural resources conservation.Also,managers can provide social sustainability in the organization by focusing on the human dimensions and the proper management of talents.
文摘Along with several sectors,manufacturing industries have been concerned with the devastating impacts of COVID-19 on their supply chains(SCs).Many instantaneous decisions and strategies have been incorporated to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.However,the significance of these strategies has not been analyzed in the literature considering long-term perspectives and sustainable implications.To fulfil this gap,we develop a sustainable recovery approach with a set of strategies that allow manufacturing SCs sustainable growth in the post-COVID-19 world.To analyze the results,we conduct a case study of automobile SCs of Bangladesh,an emerging economy.It identifies and assesses 16 post-COVID-19 sustainable recovery strategies and evaluates their causal relationships.The findings imply that managers should concentrate on‘Developing a robustness-based risk management system for eliminating SC vulnerabilities’and‘Investing in collaborative strategic planning’.The findings can help SC managers and practitioners to develop sustainable recovery strategies in the post-pandemic era.

文摘This paper examines vertical outsourcing dynamics using three game-theoretic models:buyer’s independent production,buyer-led outsourcing,and supplier-led outsourcing.The analysis systematically evaluates how government policy support affects outsourcing decisions,pricing strategies,and profit distribution in supply chains.Key results indicate that:(1)policy interventions significantly alter competitive dynamics,with buyer support encouraging price reductions to expand market share while supplier support enhances production efficiency and pricing power;(2)allocation of control rights directly determines profit distribution advantages,allowing the dominant party to secure higher profits through favorable contractual terms;(3)different policy types generate asymmetric profit effects,as buyer-oriented policies directly increase its profits whereas supplier-focused measures indirectly boost overall profitability through enhanced market competitiveness.Using Stackelberg game frameworks supported by numerical simulations,this research clarifies the dynamic interrelationships among policy interventions,control structures,and supply chain coordination,offering theoretical insights for industrial policy design and corporate outsourcing optimization.
文摘The construction industry is increasingly using analytics tools to enhance decision-making and streamline project execution.However,human resource analytics(HRA)adoption has been slow due to concerns about cost and complexity.Recent studies investigating HRA adoption rely on conceptual models and are in their early stages.To address this gap,this study takes an empirical approach by examining the antecedents and impacts of HRA adoption on project performance in the Jordanian construction industry.A deductive conceptual framework based on technology-organisation-environment(TOE)and resource-based view(RBV)theories is developed,and 198 individuals are surveyed.Using structural equation modelling(PLS-SEM),the study identifies eight factors that significantly impact HRA adoption and shows that adoption leads to significant project performance improvements.The study provides valuable insights into HRA adoption in the construction industry,with implications for human resource management,project performance,and the industry as a whole.

文摘This study investigates the role of generative large language models(GLLMs)in supporting complex selection and evaluation tasks within the academic paper review process.Using empirical data from management journal submissions,we compared the performance of six leading GLLMs(Claude 3.5,GPT-4O,Gemini 2.5,Deepseek-R3,Moonshot-V1(kimi),and Qwen-Long)against human editors and reviewers.The results show that,at the editorial screening stage,GLLMs can help editors identify manuscripts with low publication potential,with aggregated model scores closely matching human editorial decisions.At the review stage,comments generated by the union of any three GLLMs from six GLLMs can cover over 61%of issues raised by human reviewers and are rated as superior by management professors.These findings demonstrate that GLLMs can complement human judgment in multi-stage,knowledge-intensive decision processes,improving both the efficiency and quality of academic paper reviews.The study expands the application boundaries of generative Al in management research evaluation and offers practical insights for integrating GLLMs into scholarly review workflows.

文摘The environmental,social,and governance(ESG)report is globally recognized as a keystone in sustainable enterprise development.However,current literature has not concluded the development of topics and trends in ESG contexts in the twenty-first century.Therefore,we selected 1114 ESG reports from global firms in the technology industry to analyze the evolutionary trends of ESG topics by text mining.We discovered the homogenization effect toward low environmental,medium governance,and high social features in the evolution.We also designed a strategic framework to look closer into the dynamic changes of firms’within-industry representiveness and cross-sector distinctiveness,which demonstrates corporate social responsibility and sustainability.We found that companies are gradually converging toward the third quadrant,which indicates that firms contribute less to industrial outstanding and professional distinctiveness in ESG reporting.Firms choose to imitate ESG reports from each other to mitigate uncertainty and enhance behavioral legitimacy.
