Although poly(urethane-urea)elastomers(PUEs)possess excellent mechanical properties and durability,their inherent flammability and inability to self-repair after damage significantly limits their applications in high-...Although poly(urethane-urea)elastomers(PUEs)possess excellent mechanical properties and durability,their inherent flammability and inability to self-repair after damage significantly limits their applications in high-end fields.To address this challenge,this study employs a supramolecular chemistry approach by simultaneously incorporating multiple hydrogen bonds as dynamic cross-linking points and a phosphorus-nitrogen synergistic flame-retardant structure into the poly(urethane-urea)network.The multiple hydrogen bonds endow the material with efficient intrinsic self-healing capability,while the phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant ensures outstanding thermal stability and flame resistance,leading to the successful synthesis of a high-performance multifunctional poly(urethane-urea)elastomer.Experimental results demonstrated that when the content of the flame retardant diethyl(2-((2-aminoethyl)amino)ethyl)phosphoramidate(DEPTA)was 10 wt%,the resulting PUE/10%DEPTA achieved a V-0 rating in the vertical burning test,with a limiting oxygen index(LOI)of 30%.Concurrently,the elastomer maintained good toughness,exhibiting a tensile strength of 27.3 MPa,an elongation at break of 601%,and a self-healing efficiency of up to 94.46%.This breakthrough shows significant promise for advanced engineering applications that demand fire safety,structural durability,and extended service life through self-repair.展开更多

Conductive elastomers combining micromechanical sensitivity,lightweight adaptability,and environmental sustainability are critically needed for advanced flexible electronics requiring precise responsiveness and long-t...Conductive elastomers combining micromechanical sensitivity,lightweight adaptability,and environmental sustainability are critically needed for advanced flexible electronics requiring precise responsiveness and long-term wearability;however,the integration of these properties remains a significant challenge.Here,we present a biomass-derived conductive elastomer featuring a rationally engineered dynamic crosslinked network integrated with a tunable microporous architecture.This structural design imparts pronounced micromechanical sensitivity,an ultralow density(~0.25 g cm^(−3)),and superior mechanical compliance for adaptive deformation.Moreover,the unique micro-spring effect derived from the porous architecture ensures exceptional stretchability(>500%elongation at break)and superior resilience,delivering immediate and stable electrical response under both subtle(<1%)and large(>200%)mechanical stimuli.Intrinsic dynamic interactions endow the elastomer with efficient room temperature self-healing and complete recyclability without compromising performance.First-principles simulations clarify the mechanisms behind micropore formation and the resulting functionality.Beyond its facile and mild fabrication process,this work establishes a scalable route toward high-performance,sustainable conductive elastomers tailored for next-generation soft electronics.展开更多
Polyolefins with intrinsic antimicrobial properties have attracted significant attention.In this study,various ion-functionalized polyolefins were successfully constructed by incorporating iodine-containing comonomers...Polyolefins with intrinsic antimicrobial properties have attracted significant attention.In this study,various ion-functionalized polyolefins were successfully constructed by incorporating iodine-containing comonomers into a polypropylene backbone,followed by post-functionalization strategies that utilized the conversion reactions of pre-introduced iodine groups.The introduction of ionic groups induced notable changes in both the thermal properties and the melt rheological behavior of the material.The dual crosslinking mechanism based on ionic interactions and polypropylene crystallization significantly enhanced the mechanical strength of the material.In addition,imidazolium-based ionomers exhibit highly effective antimicrobial properties against Gram-negative Escherichia coli and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus.Specifically,the P5-CCl_(3)CO_(2)^(−)sample achieved a sterilization rate of 99.99%against both bacteria and maintained a high bactericidal efficacy of above 90%,even after continuous supplementation with fresh bacterial solutions for 15 days.Consequently,this polypropylene-based ionomer,which combines excellent mechanical strength with outstanding antimicrobial performance,demonstrates substantial application potential in children’s toys,food packaging,and medicine.展开更多
