It is found from th...Phase chemical relation of quaternary systems KBr-REBr3-HBr (13%)-H2O (25℃, RE=La, Sm) were determined, and the rule of phase change was also discovered bere when RE are light rare earth elements. It is found from the experiment that the quaternary systems in which KBr and REBr3 react in hydrobromic acid belong to a simple eutectic type,so the reaction mechanism for synthesizing compound K2REBr5 type and real action of the first step reaction can be explained with Meyer’s method. Furthermore, it can be seen from comparison between the systems in this paper and the system CsBr-REBr-HBr (13%)-H2O (25℃) that CsBr and REBr3 acting in hydrobromic acid with each other can form doublecompound easier than KBr and REBr3.展开更多

Always at the later stage of the evaporation of brin...Zabuye saline lake, Tibet, China, is unrivalled in the world for its high concentration of chloride, sulfate, carbonate and borate of lithium, sodium and potassium. Always at the later stage of the evaporation of brines, most sodium and potassium salts are crystallized out, so the main components of brines can be described with the Li+, Mg2+/Cl-, SO42-, CO32-, B4O72--H2O system. As a part of study on the equilibrium of this complex system, the equilibrium solubilities and phase diagram of the quinary system Li+/Cl-, SO42-, CO32-, B4O72--H2O at 298 K were studied by isothermal dissolution equilibrium method. In the 3-dimentional solubility diagram or its projection diagram saturated with solid LiCl, there are four crystallization fields, four univariant curves and one invariant point. At the invariant point, the saturated solid salts are LiCl·H2O, Li2B4O7·3H2O, Li2CO3 and Li2SO4·H2O. No double salt or solid solution is formed.展开更多

By determinati...Based on the method of compound synthesis, a new method of constructing the isothermal section phase diagram of tcrnary system is presented and the ternary C6H14O6-KCl-H2O system is taken as an example. By determinating the optical rotation of the saturated solution in the equilibrium system, the contents of the other components can be calculated, and then the isothermal section diagram of the ternary system can be constructed. The results shows that the common saturation point is as=58.5%, bs=17.4%,cs=24.1%. The general application of the method is discussed also in this paper.展开更多
