I am the former ambassador of Nepal to China.Recently,I read the articles titled“A Little Plant with Big Stories”and“Turning Trash into Treasure”in the April issue of China Today.From these articles,I learned how ...I am the former ambassador of Nepal to China.Recently,I read the articles titled“A Little Plant with Big Stories”and“Turning Trash into Treasure”in the April issue of China Today.From these articles,I learned how the Chinese government is giving top priority to the development of the agricultural industry in the rural revitalization drive and how it is nurturing new types of agricultural businesses to help farmers expand channels to increase their income.I have also learned more about China’s policies on achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals,including waste recycling-all of which are effective approaches to realize green development that Nepal can use in its economic growth.The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI),which has generated many mega infrastructure projects of roads,ports,and bridges along the routes.Over the past decade,numerous achievements have been made,and it is time to reflect on China’s contribution to global economic development.Some Western politicians and intellectuals have been criticizing China’s investment in developing countries,querying over whether BRI is an opportunity or a debt trap.展开更多
