This paper presents the findings of a two-week monitoring project on Gender Based Violence(GBV)in Tanzanian and explores how the media outlets frame the marginalized voices,institutional narratives,and intersectional ...This paper presents the findings of a two-week monitoring project on Gender Based Violence(GBV)in Tanzanian and explores how the media outlets frame the marginalized voices,institutional narratives,and intersectional inclusivity.Drawing qualitative approach and analysis of media coverage of GBV during the 202416 Days of Activism campaign remarkably November 25 to December 10,2024,it reveals the extent that media platforms amplify or marginalize survivor voices.Through two weeks of media monitoring across print,broadcast,and social media including sources notably Mwananchi,TBC1,Cloud FM,and advocacy-driven digital platforms and campaigns through#EndGBVNow and#16DaysOfActivism the study explores recurring themes,language use,tone,and inclusivity.Guided by critical gender theories including Judith Butler’s gender performativity and Gave Tuchman’s symbolic annihilation,the analysis reveals media’s dual role in either perpetuating or challenging patriarchal narratives.Findings indicate that traditional media often foreground prevailing institutional voices while underrepresenting marginalized groups,especially rural women and women with disabilities,portraying harmful cultural practices like FGM and child marriage as community challenges rather than universal human rights violation.Conversely,social media emerged as a transformative space for survivor-led advocacy.Hence the study calls for inclusive,ethical,and survivor-centered media reporting as well as strategic integration of digital and mainstream media to promote justice and policy reform in GBV reporting.展开更多

In oil and gas exploration,small-scale karst cavities and faults are important targets.The former often serve as reservoir space for carbonate reservoirs,while the latter often provide migration pathways for oil and g...In oil and gas exploration,small-scale karst cavities and faults are important targets.The former often serve as reservoir space for carbonate reservoirs,while the latter often provide migration pathways for oil and gas.Due to these differences,the classification and identification of karst cavities and faults are of great significance for reservoir development.Traditional seismic attributes and diffraction imaging techniques can effectively identify discontinuities in seismic images,but these techniques do not distinguish whether these discontinuities are karst cavities,faults,or other structures.It poses a challenge for seismic interpretation to accurately locate and classify karst cavities or faults within the seismic attribute maps and diffraction imaging profiles.In seismic data,the scattering waves are associated with small-scale scatters like karst cavities,while diffracted waves are seismic responses from discontinuous structures such as faults,reflector edges and fractures.In order to achieve classification and identification of small-scale karst cavities and faults in seismic images,we propose a diffraction classification imaging method which classifies diffracted and scattered waves in the azimuth-dip angle image matrix using a modified DenseNet.We introduce a coordinate attention module into DenseNet,enabling more precise extraction of dynamic and azimuthal features of diffracted and scattered waves in the azimuth-dip angle image matrix.Leveraging these extracted features,the modified DenseNet can produce reliable probabilities for diffracted/scattered waves,achieving high-accuracy automatic classification of cavities and faults based on diffraction imaging.The proposed method achieves 96%classification accuracy on the synthetic dataset.The field data experiment demonstrates that the proposed method can accurately classify small-scale faults and scatterers,further enhancing the resolution of diffraction imaging in complex geologic structures,and contributing to the localization of karstic fracture-cavern reservoirs.展开更多

The relation between conflict and governance has been dominated by type of government rather than by system of government.With increasing conflict in countries with ethnic and religious diversity,the debate has gradua...The relation between conflict and governance has been dominated by type of government rather than by system of government.With increasing conflict in countries with ethnic and religious diversity,the debate has gradually shifted to understand better the link between conflict and system of government.There is a growing evidence that suggests federal system performs better than unitary system in managing diversity and reducing conflict.Decentralization is even seen to be more effective than federal system not only in managing diversity and reducing conflict but also in delivering public goods.This article provides an account of evolution of system of government in South Sudan.It finds a clear association of centralized unitary system with violent conflict and a relative peace during period of decentralized government or federal system.A decentralized federal system may be appropriate for South Sudan in managing diversity and mitigating conflict.Despite the popular demand by their citizens for a federal system to manage diversity and reduce violent conflict,the ruling elites in the post-independent South Sudan adopted instead an autocratic centralized unitary system that contributed among other factors to the persistent violent conflicts,erosion of social cohesion,and rising mistrust between state and citizens and between and among the communities of South Sudan.展开更多
In a deeply aging society,the appointed guardianship system,as an important arrangement for the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly,still faces many practical difficulties.Typical examples include:du...In a deeply aging society,the appointed guardianship system,as an important arrangement for the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly,still faces many practical difficulties.Typical examples include:during the decision-making stage of whether to choose appointed guardianship,the lack of professionalism and availability of appointed guardians can easily hinder the elderly from choosing to apply it;during the establishment stage of appointed guardianship,the limited rules related to the appointed guardianship agreement can easily lead to the frustration of the elderly’s subjective will;during the operation stage of appointed guardianship,the insufficient accountability mechanisms for appointed guardians can easily lead to the infringement of the personal or property rights of the elderly.By reflecting on its jurisprudential causes,it can be found that the current law largely ignores the orientation of appointed guardianship as a welfare for the elderly in social law,the concept of substantive equality in the appointed guardianship agreement,and the theoretical attributes of the appointed guardianship as a fiduciary relationship.Therefore,the appointed guardianship system in China should be systematically improved to fully release its institutional potential in the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly based on these jurisprudential principles.In particular,it is possible to consider actively promoting the“trust+appointed guardianship”model and cultivating a team of appointed guardians by the state based on the concept of elderly welfare;strengthening the protection of notarization procedures and the reasonable design of the appointed guardianship agreement based on the concept of substantive equality;and refining the fiduciary standards of appointed guardians and strengthening guardianship supervision based on the nature of fiduciary relationship.展开更多

文摘The relation between conflict and governance has been dominated by type of government rather than by system of government.With increasing conflict in countries with ethnic and religious diversity,the debate has gradually shifted to understand better the link between conflict and system of government.There is a growing evidence that suggests federal system performs better than unitary system in managing diversity and reducing conflict.Decentralization is even seen to be more effective than federal system not only in managing diversity and reducing conflict but also in delivering public goods.This article provides an account of evolution of system of government in South Sudan.It finds a clear association of centralized unitary system with violent conflict and a relative peace during period of decentralized government or federal system.A decentralized federal system may be appropriate for South Sudan in managing diversity and mitigating conflict.Despite the popular demand by their citizens for a federal system to manage diversity and reduce violent conflict,the ruling elites in the post-independent South Sudan adopted instead an autocratic centralized unitary system that contributed among other factors to the persistent violent conflicts,erosion of social cohesion,and rising mistrust between state and citizens and between and among the communities of South Sudan.

文摘In a deeply aging society,the appointed guardianship system,as an important arrangement for the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly,still faces many practical difficulties.Typical examples include:during the decision-making stage of whether to choose appointed guardianship,the lack of professionalism and availability of appointed guardians can easily hinder the elderly from choosing to apply it;during the establishment stage of appointed guardianship,the limited rules related to the appointed guardianship agreement can easily lead to the frustration of the elderly’s subjective will;during the operation stage of appointed guardianship,the insufficient accountability mechanisms for appointed guardians can easily lead to the infringement of the personal or property rights of the elderly.By reflecting on its jurisprudential causes,it can be found that the current law largely ignores the orientation of appointed guardianship as a welfare for the elderly in social law,the concept of substantive equality in the appointed guardianship agreement,and the theoretical attributes of the appointed guardianship as a fiduciary relationship.Therefore,the appointed guardianship system in China should be systematically improved to fully release its institutional potential in the protection of the rights and interests of the elderly based on these jurisprudential principles.In particular,it is possible to consider actively promoting the“trust+appointed guardianship”model and cultivating a team of appointed guardians by the state based on the concept of elderly welfare;strengthening the protection of notarization procedures and the reasonable design of the appointed guardianship agreement based on the concept of substantive equality;and refining the fiduciary standards of appointed guardians and strengthening guardianship supervision based on the nature of fiduciary relationship.
文摘In this work,firstly the general definition of law and types of law are presented.Then general definition of justice and types of justice are explained.Constructional and/or complementary theories are defined as general/specific,and interaction theories,relationship theories,and hybrid theories are specifically mentioned.Accordingly,the interactions between the disciplines of law and justice are explained in more detail.Then,the general definition of engineering and philosophy of engineering are explained.The interactions between engineering and law are specifically evaluated,and interactions between engineering and 52 types of law are defined and case studies found in the literature are indicated for each.Then interactions between engineering and justice briefly mentioned.Relationships/interactions between engineering and 25 different types of justice discussed and evaluated with specific examples.Emphasis was placed on the historical development of the subject of philosophy in general,and philosophy of law was defined more specifically.Some of the philosophers of law and their areas of interest are presented in a table format and compared.The new perspective of philosophy was defined and the disciplines of R-Philosophy,R-Science,R-Justice,R-Law,R-Engineering,and R-Religion were expressed with the relevant basic concepts.New Era Philosophy,new and reconstructed Basic Philosophies,and Ideal Philosophical System explained generally.New perspective for the philosophy of justice is defined by considering the related new theories.Philosophy of defense,philosophy of equity,philosophy of equivalence,philosophy of judgment,philosophy of law,philosophy of protection,philosophy of punishment,and philosophy of rights are defined due to new perspective of philosophy.Also,philosophy of engineering law,philosophy of information technology law,philosophy of telecommunication law,and philosophy of security are defined by taking into account hybrid philosophies and general theories related to them.The interaction of engineering,law,justice,and basic philosophies has been generally expressed.
