In this paper,we present a distal-scanning common path probe for optical coherence tomography(OCT)equipped with a hollow ultrasonic motor and a simple and specially designed beam-splitter.This novel probe proves to be...In this paper,we present a distal-scanning common path probe for optical coherence tomography(OCT)equipped with a hollow ultrasonic motor and a simple and specially designed beam-splitter.This novel probe proves to be able to effectively circumvent polarization and dispersion mismatch caused by fiber motion and is more robust to a variety of interfering factors during the imaging process,experimentally compared to a conventional noncommon path probe.Furthermore,our design counteracts the attenuation of backscattering with depth and the fall-off of the signal,resulting in a more balanced signal range and greater imaging depth.Spectral-domain OCT imaging of phantom and biological tissue is also demonstrated with a sensitivity of∼100dB and a lateral resolution of∼3μm.This low-cost probe offers simplified system configuration and excellent robustness,and is therefore particularly suitable for clinical diagnosis as one-off medical apparatus.展开更多

In addition, it also investigates the ways to wipe out mental frustration in such a cyber era. Cashew(Anacardium occidentale)is a widely favored nut among consumers,and there is a growing prevalence of food allergies associated with cashew consumption.Ana o 3,as a major allergen in cashews,has attracted conside...Cashew(Anacardium occidentale)is a widely favored nut among consumers,and there is a growing prevalence of food allergies associated with cashew consumption.Ana o 3,as a major allergen in cashews,has attracted considerable attention due to its structural stability and strong sensitization.In this study,BALB/c mice were used to establish a mouse model for accurate study of Ana o 3 sensitization.The sensitization of the extracted Ana o 3 was verified by oral sensitization and intraperitoneal challenge.Then,the mice were orally sensitized with three doses of Ana o 3,namely low(0.25 mg),medium(0.5 mg)and high(1 mg),and the allergic response was comprehensively evaluated by multiple indicators such as specific IgE level,cytokines expression and histopathological changes.The findings demonstrated that oral sensitization and intraperitoneal challenge with Ana o 3 were capable of eliciting allergic reactions in mice.In the model combining oral sensitization with oral challenge,the high-dose group exhibited more pronounced discrepancies in allergy score,specific antibody levels,and cytokines levels(p<0.01),confirming the successful establishment of the model.In summary,we have effectively established a BALB/c mouse model sensitized with Ana o 3 as a single allergen.Our results suggested that 1 mg Ana o 3 may be considered as the minimum effective dose for inducing significant allergic reactions in BALB/c mice via oral administration.展开更多
