This study aimed to investigate the effects and the mechanisms of XG on ventricular reconstruction in rats with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).MethodsSprague-Dawley rats were subjected to left anterior descending branch ligation. The rats that survived 24 h were randomly assigned to five groups: medium-dose of XG group (MI+XGM), high-dose of XG group (MI+XGH), carvedilol group (MI+C), medium-dose of XG + carvedilol group (MI+C+XGM). Fourteen rats underwent identical surgical procedures without artery ligation, serving as sham controls. At 28 days, left ventricular weight to body weight (LVW/BW) and heart weight to body weight (HW/BW) were calculated; left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular shortening fraction (LVFS), left ventricular internal diameter at systole (LVIDS) were measured by ultrasound; HE staining, Masson staining, and Sirius red staining were used to assess the myocardial pathological and physiological changes as well as myocardial fibrosis area and non-infarct zone I/III collagen ratio. Expression of Smad3 were detected and analyzed by Western blot, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. P-Smad3, Smad2 and Smad7 in the TGF-β/Smads signaling pathway were also analyzed by Western blot.ResultsThe LVIDS (P < 0.01), HW/BW (P < 0.05), type I/III collagen ratio (P < 0.01) and myocardial collagen (P < 0.01) decreased significantly while the LVW/BW, LVFS (P < 0.05) increased significantly in MI+XGM group as compared with those in other groups. The expression of key signal molecules of the TGF-β/Smads signaling pathway, including Smad3, P-Smad3 and Smad2 protein were decreased, while the expression of Smad7 increased in both XG and carvedilol treatment groups as compared to those of the MI group (all P < 0.01). Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence further confirmed the down-regulated Smad3 expression.ConclusionXG can improve ventricular reconstruction and inhibit myocardial fibrosis in rats with AMI by regulating TGF-β/Smads signaling pathway.展开更多

They have been shown to inhibit platelet aggregation, increase cerebral blood flow, improve neurological behavior, decrease infarct volume and promote proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells in the hippocampus and lateral ventricles. However, there is a lack of studies on whether total saponins of Panax notoginsertg have potential benefits on immature neuroblasts in the olfactory bulb following ischemia and reperfusion. This study established a rat model of global cerebral ischemia and reperfusion using four-vessel occlusion. Rats were administered total sa- ponins of Panax notoginseng at 75 mg/kg intraperitoneally 30 minutes after ischemia then once a day, for either 7 or 14 days. Total saponins of Panax notoginseng enhanced the number of dou- blecortin (DCX)+ neural progenitor ceils and increased co-localization of DCX with neuronal nuclei and phosphorylated cAMP response element-binding/DCX+ neural progenitor cells in the olfactory bulb at 7 and 14 days post ischemia. These findings indicate that following global brain ischemia/reperfusion, total saponins of Panax notoginseng promote differentiation of DCX+ cells expressing immature neuroblasts in the olfactory bulb and the underlying mechanism is related to the activation of the signaling pathway of cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein.展开更多

文摘By the end of 2020,83 silver deposits(or ore occurrences),including four super-large-scale deposits, nine large-scale deposits,33 medium-scale deposits and 37 small-scale deposits or ore occurrences, have been proved. The amount of silver metal exceeds 86000 t with average grade of 100 g/t,which makes Daxing’anling region one of the the most important silver ore belt in China. However, the metallogenic characteristics and metallogenesis need to be clarified. The silver deposits in the study area are classified into three main types, which are magmatic hydrothermal vein type, continental volcano-subvolcanic type and skarn type, respectively. The supergiant deposits include the Shuangjianzishan deposit(silver metal amount of 15214 t with average grade of 138 g/t),the Baiyinchagandongshan deposit(silver metal amount of 9446 t with average grade of 187 g/t),the Huaobaote deposit(silver metal amount of 6852 t with average grade of 170 g/t),and the Fuxingtun deposit(silver metal amount of 5240 t with average grade of 196 g/t).The silver deposits are mainly distributed in the central and south of the Daxing’anling area, and mainly formed in the Yanshanian period. The silver polymetallic deposits in the Daxinganling area are significantly controlled by regional faults and the junction zone of volcanic rock basins and their margins. The north-east trending deep faults are the most important ore-controlling structures in this area. The distribution of silver polymetallic deposits along the main faults is obvious, and the intersection area of multiple groups of faults often form important mine catchments. The Permian is the most important ore-bearing formation in this area, but some important silver polymetallic deposits occur in Mesozoic volcanic basins or pre-Mesozoic strata. The magmatic rocks related to mineralization are mainly intermediate acidic or acidic intrusions, intermediate acidic lavas, pyroclastic rocks, and small intrusions of ultra-shallow or shallow facies of the Yanshanian Period. The mineralization element combination is mainly determined by the elemental geochemical background of surrounding rocks or source layers. In addition, the type of deposit, the distance from the mineralization center, and the degree of differentiation of ore-forming rock mass are also important influence factors. The article analyzes the prospecting prospects of each silver deposit type in the study area, discusses the relationship between mineralization center and deep prospecting, and proposes that porphyry silver deposits should be paid attention to.In the prospecting and exploration of silver deposits, comprehensive evaluation and multi-target prospecting need to be strengthened because silver can coexist or be associated with a variety of metals.

文摘Taking the long-wavelength Rayleigh-Taylor instability(RTI) on the thin shell of inertial confinement fusion as the research object,a linear analytical model is presented to study the phase effects that are caused by the phase difference of single-mode perturbations on the two interfaces. Its accuracy is tested by numerical simulations.By analyzing the characteristic of this model,it is found that the phase difference does not change the basic RTI structure(only one spike and one bubble in a period). However, the symmetry of the spike and bubble is destroyed, which has non-expected influences on the convergent motion of ICF targets.Meanwhile, the phenomenon that the distance between spikes and bubbles along the vertical direction of acceleration differs by π is demonstrated. It is also shown that when the phase difference is large, the temporal evolution of the RTI is more serious and the thin target is easier to tend to break.

文摘Antichiral gyromagnetic photonic crystal(GPC)in a honeycomb lattice with the two interpenetrating triangular sublattices A and B magnetically biased in opposite directions can realize antichiral one-way edge states propagating along the same direction at its two parallel edges. Here,we report the construction and observation of topological beam splitting with the easily adjustable right-to-left ratio in an antichiral GPC.The splitter is compact and configurable, has high trans-mission efficiency, and allows for multi-channel utilization,crosstalk-proof,and robust against defects and obstacles. This magnificent performance is attributed to the peculiar property that antichiral one-way edge states exist only at zigzag edge but not at armchair edge of antichiral GPC.When we combine two rectangular antichiral GPCs holding left-and right-propagating antichiral one-way edge states respectively, bidirectionally radiating one-way edge states at two paral-lel zigzag edges can be achieved. Our observations can enrich the understanding of fundamental physics and expand to-pological photonic applications.

文摘The strongly coupled system composed of atoms, molecules, molecule aggregates, and semiconductor quantum dots embedded within an optical microcavity/nanocavity with high quality factor and/or low modal volume has become an excellent platform to study cavity quantum electrodynamics(CQED),where a prominent quantum effect called Rabi splitting can occur due to strong interaction of cavity-mode single-photon with the two-level atomic states. In this paper,we build a new quantum model that can describe the optical response of the strongly-coupled system under the action of an external probing light and the spectral lineshape. We take the Hamiltonian for the strongly-coupled photon-atom system as the unperturbed Hamiltonian H_(0)and the interaction Hamiltonian of the probe light upon the coupled-system quantum states as the perturbed Hamiltonian V.The theory yields a double Lorentzian lineshape for the permittivity function, which agrees well with experimental observation of Rabi splitting in terms of spectral splitting. This quantum theory will pave the way to construct a complete understanding for the microscopic strongly-coupled system that will become an important element for quantum information processing,nano-optical integrated circuits, and polariton chemistry.

文摘Birefringence production of light by natural birefringent crystal has long been studied and well understood. Here,we develop a simple and comprehensive rigorous electromagnetic theory that allows one to build up the complete picture about the optics of crystals in a friendly way. This theory not only yields the well-known refraction angle and index of ellipse for birefringence crystal, but also discloses many relevant physical and optical quantities that are rarely studied and less understood. We obtain the reflection and transmission coefficient for amplitude and intensity of light at the crystal surface under a given incident angle and show the electromagnetic field distribution within the crystal. We derive the wavefront and energy flux refraction angle of light and the corresponding phase and ray refractive index. We find big difference between them, where the phase refractive index satisfies the classical index of ellipse and Snell’s law, while the ray refractive index does not. Moreover,we disclose the explicit expressions for the zero-reflection Brewster angle and the critical angle for total internal reflection. For better concept demonstration,we take a weak birefringent crystal of lithium niobate and a strong birefringent crystal tellurium as examples and perform simple theoretical calculations. In addition,we perform experimental measurement upon z-cut lithium niobate plate and find excellent agreement between theory and experiment in regard to the Brewster angle. Our theoretical and experimental results can help to construct a clear and complete picture about light transport characteristics in birefringent crystals, and may greatly facilitate people to find rigorous solution to many light-matter interaction processes happening within birefringent crystals,e.g.,nonlinear optical interactions, with electromagnetic theory.

文摘The Rayleigh-Taylor instability at the weakly nonlinear(WN)stage in spherical geometry is studied by numerical simulation. The mode coupling processes are revealed. The results are consistent with the WN model based on parameter expansion, while higher order effects are found to be non-negligible.For Legendre mode perturbation Pn(cos B),the nonlinear saturation amplitude(NSA)of the fundamental mode decreases with the mode number n.When n is large, the spherical NSA is lower than the corresponding planar one. However, for large n,the planar NSA can be recovered by applying Fourier transformation to the bubble/spike near the equator and calculating the NSA of the converted trigonometric harmonic.

文摘Interface width effect on the spherical Rayleigh–Taylor instability in the weakly nonlinear regime is studied by numerical simulations. For Legendre perturbation mode Pn with wave number Kn and interface half-width L,the commonly adopted empirical linear growth rate formulaγnem(L)=γn/√1+KnL is found to be sufficient in spherical geometry. At the weakly nonlinear stage, the interface width affects the mode coupling processes. The development of the mode P2n is substantially influenced by the interface width. Moreover, the nonlinear saturation amplitude increases with the interface width.

文摘A supercontinuum white laser with ultrabroad bandwidth, intense pulse energy, and high spectral flatness can be accomplished via synergic action of third-order nonlinearity(3rd-NL)and second-order nonlinearity. In this work,we employ an intense Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser with a pulse duration of 50 fs and pulse energy up to 4 mJ to ignite the supercontinuum white laser.Remarkably,we use water instead of the usual solid materials as the 3rd-NL medium exhibiting both strong self-phase modulation and stimulated Raman scattering effect to create a supercontinuum laser with significantly broadened bandwidth and avoid laser damage and destruction. Then the supercontinuum laser is injected into a water-embedded chirped periodically poled lithium niobate crystal that enables broadband and high-efficiency second-harmonic generation. The output white laser has a 10 dB bandwidth encompassing 413 to 907 nm,more than one octave, and a pulse energy of 0.6 mJ.This methodology would open up an efficient route to creating a long-lived,high-stability,and inexpensive white laser with intense pulse energy, high spectral flatness, and ultrabroad bandwidth for application to various areas of basic science and high technology.

文摘Raman spectroscopy offers a great power to detect, analyze and identify molecules, and monitor their temporal dynamics and evolution when combined with single-molecule surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SM-SERS)substrates.Here we present a SM-SERS scheme that involves simultaneously giant chemical enhancement from WS22D materials, giant electromagnetic enhancement from plasmonic nanogap hot spot, and inhibition of molecular fluorescence influence under near-infrared laser illumination.Remarkably we find Coulomb attraction between analyte and gold nanoparticle can trigger spontaneous formation of molecule-hotspot pairing with high precision, stability and robustness. The scheme has enabled realization of universal, robust, fast, and large-scale uniform SM-SERS detection for three Raman molecules of rhodamine B,rhodamine 6G,and crystal violet with a very low detection limit of 10−16 M and at a very fast spectrum acquisition time of 50 ms.

文摘Spin-momentum locking is widely regarded as an inherent property of evanescent waves, where the transverse spin angular momentum is intrinsically tied to the wave's polarization. This principle is well established in systems such as surface plasmon polaritons, surface elastic waves, and other evanescent modes. Here,we theoretically unveil an anomalous breakdown of spin-momentum locking in evanescent electromagnetic waves at a metalgyromagnetic interface. We show that the hybrid polarization of the field induces two successive reversals of transverse spin near the interface—directly violating the conventional locking between spin and momentum. As a result, identical chiral sources placed at different heights above the interface excite evanescent waves propagating in opposite directions, defying standard expectations. This discovery challenges the presumed universality of spin-momentum locking and opens new degrees of freedom for controlling wave propagation in photonic and plasmonic systems.

文摘The main active components extracted from Panax notoginseng are total saponins. These findings indicate that following global brain ischemia/reperfusion, total saponins of Panax notoginseng promote differentiation of DCX+ cells expressing immature neuroblasts in the olfactory bulb and the underlying mechanism is related to the activation of the signaling pathway of cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein.
