In the current era marked by energy shortages,the advancement of nuclear energy stands as an inevitable progression.The reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel plays a crucial role in determining the sustainability of nucl...In the current era marked by energy shortages,the advancement of nuclear energy stands as an inevitable progression.The reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel plays a crucial role in determining the sustainability of nuclear energy as a viable energy source.Among these processes,the separation and recovery of Pu(Ⅳ)from high-level liquid waste(HLLW)hold paramount significance in terms of safety and strategic implications.Herein,this work focused on the synthesis of two acid-and radiation-resistant pyridine-based sp^(2)c-COFs(COF-IHEP3 and COF-IHEP4),followed by the creation of two pyridine-based ionized sp^(2)c-COFs named COF-IHEP3-CH_(3)NO_(3)and COF-IHEP4-CH3NO3through post-modification.These materials have potential anion exchange capacity for the selective separation of Pu(Ⅳ)in highly acidic conditions.Notably,in 8 mol/L nitric acid solution,COF-IHEP3-CH3NO3demonstrated the capability to eliminate plutonium within 20 min in 98%removal efficiency with a Kdvalue of 2450 m L/g.Experimental and theoretical analysis suggest that the ionized sp^(2)c-COFs exhibit exceptional stability,selectivity,and prevention of secondary contamination towards Pu(Ⅳ)in the presence of multiple ions environments.In short,this work provides an appropriate anion exchange strategy to design ionic sp^(2)c-COFs as a promising platform for Pu(Ⅳ)recovery from HLLW.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the clinical profile of patients with acquired lacrimal sac mucocele(ALSM)and evaluate the efficacy of endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy(En-DCR)for this condition.METHODS:En-DCRs were performed on 14...AIM:To investigate the clinical profile of patients with acquired lacrimal sac mucocele(ALSM)and evaluate the efficacy of endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy(En-DCR)for this condition.METHODS:En-DCRs were performed on 141 patients with ALSM patients from January 2016 to March 2022.The clinical baseline information and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)images were recorded and summarized.To assess the effectiveness of En-DCR therapy,both anatomical and functional success rate was assessed during a 12mo follow-up.RESULTS:A total of 141 patients,with a mean age of 57.70±14.11y,were enrolled in this study.Majority of the patients were female(n=91;64.54%)and all had unilateral disease.All patients had a previous history of epiphora and purulent secretion,and the duration from lacrimal duct obstruction to mucocele formation ranged from 6 to 120mo.MRI findings consistently revealed an enlarged sac diameter,fluid accumulation separated by a thin rim from adjacent tissues,which is indicative of lacrimal sac mucocele.En-DCR was performed with an anatomical success rate of 93.62%and a functional success rate of 81.56%.CONCLUSION:ALSM is more commonly seen in females and unilaterally.It is essentially a complication of lacrimal duct obstruction.MRI characteristics can be used for precise clinical diagnosis,while En-DCR emerges as an optimal therapy for this condition.Our results provide a comprehensive reference for the diagnosis and treatment of ALSM.展开更多
Objectives To assess and synthesize the prospective cohort studies published so far on the association between atrial fibrillation (AF) and dementia incidence.Methods We searched PubMed,Web of Science,and the Cochrane...Objectives To assess and synthesize the prospective cohort studies published so far on the association between atrial fibrillation (AF) and dementia incidence.Methods We searched PubMed,Web of Science,and the Cochrane Library for potential studies published in English previous to April 2018.Two independent reviewers screened the search results for prospective cohort studies reporting the association between AF and dementia incidence in patients with normal cognitive function at baseline and not suffering from an acute stroke.The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale was adopted to evaluate the quality of the included studies.The pooled hazard ratio (HR) of AF for dementia was calculated with the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis software,version 2.Heterogeneity and publication bias were assessed with the I2 test and funnel plot,respectively.Results We finally identified 11 prospective cohort studies covering 112,876 patients.All the included studies reported an adjusted HR obtained in multiple Cox regression models.The qualities of the included studies ranged from moderate to high.In pooled analysis with a fixed-effects model,AF was independently associated with dementia incidence (HR = 1.34,95% CI: 1.24–1.44).Subgroup analysis of studies considering anticoagulation as an important confounding factor achieved a similar result.Based on the I2 test and funnel plot,we did not detect obvious heterogeneity and publication bias in our study.Meta-regression on age did not find significant results.Conclusions The results of our meta-analysis further confirmed that AF was an independent risk factor for dementia in patients with normal baseline cognitive function not suffering from acute stroke.Screening for dementia in AF patients and including dementia as an independent outcome in large AF treatment trials is warranted.展开更多

BACKGROUND:Pancreatic cancer is a highly aggressive malignant tumor with the lowest survival rate.A better understanding of the molecular mechanisms which contribute to pancreatic cancer occurrence and progression wil...BACKGROUND:Pancreatic cancer is a highly aggressive malignant tumor with the lowest survival rate.A better understanding of the molecular mechanisms which contribute to pancreatic cancer occurrence and progression will aid in the development of new approaches to the early diagnosis,prevention,and treatment of this deadly disease.The scaffold protein IQGAP1 shows elevated levels in a variety of cancer types.Currently,we investigated whether or not IQGAP1 is also overexpressed in pancreatic cancer.METHODS:IQGAP1 expression was examined in pancreatic cancer and normal tissues adjacent to cancerous tissues(adjacent tissues)by Western blotting and real-time RT-PCR as well as in paraffin sections of tissue microarray by immunohistochemistry.The correlations between IQGAP1 expression and various clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed.RESULTS:Western blotting and real-time RT-PCR revealed that the levels of IQGAP1 protein and mRNA expression in pancreatic cancer tissues were significantly increased compared with adjacent tissues.Immunohistochemistry analysis on tissue microarray showed that IQGAP1 protein expression was significantly higher in pancreatic cancer(80.0%,48/60)compared with adjacent tissues(18.3%,11/60)(P【0.001).Moreover,overexpression of IQGAP1 was shown to be associated with the grades of tumor differentiation(P【0.05).CONCLUSION:The overexpression of IQGAP1 may play an important role in pancreatic cancer occurrence and progression,and IQGAP1 may serve as a novel molecular target for the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.展开更多
