Methods: in this study, 122 elderly patients with blood stasis type of lumbar disc herniation admitted from November 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the research objects to observe their therapeutic effects. In this experiment, 61 patients were selected as group X and traction therapy was used for the related experiment. More than 61 patients were selected as the control group of group X, and based on group X, clinical treatment was carried out by combining massage with acupuncture. When the selected two groups of patients are tested by different methods, the doctors should compare the curative effect and joint movement of the two groups of patients. At the same time, doctors should also pay attention to patients with other diseases, to ensure that the patients spirit and communication ability are normal. Before conducting the study, doctors should take the initiative to explain the content and purpose of the study to the patients. Only when the patients know and agree can the results of the study be announced to the public. Results: the above methods were used to analyze these patients, and it was found that both methods can effectively treat lumbar disc herniation with blood stasis. Considering the final therapeutic effect, the therapeutic effect of the combination of these two methods is better than that of traction therapy alone. In addition, the patients joint activity has also been significantly improved with massage and acupuncture. In the questionnaire, the patients are satisfied with the combination therapy. The results of the two groups are also very different, which can be used as the basis of this study.
