BACKGROUND Through deeper understanding of targetable driver mutations in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC)over the past years,some patients with driver mutations have benefited from the targeted molecular therapies.Although the anaplastic lymphoma kinase and BRAF mutations are not frequent subtypes in NSCLC,the availability of several targeted-drugs has been confirmed through a series of clinical trials.But little is clear about the proper strategy in rare BRAF G469A mutation,not to mention co-exhibition of anaplastic lymphoma kinase and BRAF G469A mutations,which is extremely rare in NSCLC.CASE SUMMARY We present a patient to stage IVA lung adenocarcinoma with coexisting echinoderm microtubule associated protein like-4 rearrangement and BRAF G469A mutation.She received several targeted drugs with unintended resistance and suffered from unbearable adverse events.CONCLUSION Due to the rarity of co-mutations,the case not only enriches the limited literature on NSCLC harbouring BRAF G469A and echinoderm microtubule associated protein like-4 mutations,but also suggests the efficacy and safety of specific multiple-drug therapy in such patients. 展开更多

To overcome the difficulty and high cost of some specific isotopic targets,a substitution method was proposed to measure the cross section of the(γ,n)reactions.Considering that the natural copper element(^(nat)Cu)only has^(63)Cu and^(65)Cu isotopes,the^(65)Cu(γ,n)^(64)Cu reaction was taken as an example to test the substitution method.Using quasi-monoenergeticγbeams provided by the Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source(SLEGS)of the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF),^(nat)Cu(γ,n)was measured from E_(γ)=11.09 MeV to 17.87 MeV.Furthermore,based on the^(63)Cu(γ,n)reaction measured using the same experimental setup at SLEGS,^(65)Cu(γ,n)^(64)Cu was extracted using the substitution method.The abundance variation of natural copper,showing a significant influence on the cross section,was also investigated.The results were compared to the existing experimental data measured by bremsstrahlung and positron annihilation in-flight sources,and the TALYS 2.0 predictions.Theγstrength function(γSF)of^(65)Cu was obtained from the^(65)Cu(γ,n)data,and the reaction cross section of^(64)Cu(n,γ)was further calculated. 展开更多

A state-of-the-art detector array with a digital data acquisition system has been developed for charged-particle decay studies,includingβ-delayed protons,αdecay,and direct proton emissions from exotic proton-rich nuclei.The digital data acquisition system enables precise synchronization and processing of complex signals from various detectors,such as plastic scintillators,silicon detectors,and germaniumγdetectors.The system's performance was evaluated using theβdecay of^(32)Ar and its neighboring nuclei,produced via projectile fragmentation at the first Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou(RIBLL1).Key measurements,including the half-life,charged-particle spectrum,andγ-ray spectrum,were obtained and compared with previous results for validation.Using the implantation–decay method,the isotopes of interest were implanted into two doublesided silicon strip detectors,where their subsequent decays were measured and correlated with preceding implantations using both position and time information.This detection system has potential for further applications,including the study ofβ-delayed charged-particle decay and direct proton emissions from even more exotic proton-rich nuclei. 展开更多

High-velocity clouds(HVCs)are interstellar gas clouds whose velocities are incompatible with Galactic rotation Since the first discovery of HVCs in 1963,their origins have been debated for decades but are still not settled down,because of the lack of vital parameters of HVCs,e.g.,the distance.In this work,we determined the distance to the HVC,namely the Anti-center Shell(ACS).We trace the ACS with extinction derived from K-giant stars with known distances and with the diffuse interstellar band(DIB)feature at 5780?fitted on spectra of O-and B-type stars with distance.As a result,we provide a lower limit distance of ACS as~8 kpc,which extends the lower limit outward by approximately 4 kpc compared to previous work.A byproduct of the DIB method is tha we detected a bar-shaped structure with an unusually high positive line-of-sight velocity.Its shape extends along the(l,b)=(155,-5)°sight-line and shows a slightly increasing trend in equivalent width and velocity as the distance increases. 展开更多

The accurate photoneutron cross section of the^(27)Al nucleus has a significant impact on resolving differences in existing experimental data and enhancing the precision of nuclear reaction rate calculations for^(26)Al in nuclear astrophysics.The photoneutron cross sections for the^(27)Al(γ,n)^(26)Al reaction,within the neutron separation energy range of 13.2-21.7 MeV,were meticulously measured using a new flat efficiency detector array at the Shanghai Laser-Electron Gamma Source.The uncertainty of the data was controlled to below 4%throughout the process,and inconsistencies between the present data and existing data from different gamma sources,as well as the TENDL-2021 data,are discussed in detail.These discussions provide a valuable reference for addressing discrepancies in the^(27)Al(γ,n)^(26)Al cross-section data and improving related theoretical calculations. 展开更多

^(147,149)Sm are slow neutron capture(s-process)nuclides in nuclear astrophysics,whose(n,γ)cross sections are important input parameters in nucleosynthesis network calculations in the samarium(Sm)region.In addition,^... ^(147,149)Sm are slow neutron capture(s-process)nuclides in nuclear astrophysics,whose(n,γ)cross sections are important input parameters in nucleosynthesis network calculations in the samarium(Sm)region.In addition,^(149)Sm is a fission product of ^(235)U with a 1%yield,and its neutron resonance parameters play a critical role in reactor neutronics.According to the available nuclear evaluation databases,a significant disagreement has been observed in the resonance peaks of the ^(147,149)Sm(n,γ)crosssectional data within the energy range of 20-300 eV.In this study,tutron capture cross section of a natural samarium target was measured at the back-streaming white neutron beamline of the China Spallation Neutron Source.The neutron capture yield was obtained,and the neutron resonance parameters for ^(147)Sm at 107.0,139.4,241.7,and 257.3 eV and ^(149)Sm at 23.2,24.6,26.1,28.0,51.5,75.2,90.9,125.3,and 248.4 eV were extracted using the SAMMY code based on R-matrix theory.For the parameters Γ_(n) and Γ_(γ) in these energies of ^(147,149)Sm,the percentages consistent with the results of the CENDL-3.2,ENDF/B-Ⅷ.0,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-4.0,and BROND-3.1 database are 27%,65%,65%,42%,and 58%,respectively.However,27% of the results were inconsistent with those of the major libraries.This work enriches experimental data of the ^(147,149)Sm neutron capture resonance and helps clarify the differences between different evaluation databases at the above energies. 展开更多

Psycho-cardiological disease is mainly caused by disorders of the brain and heart shen-mind, and related to the dysfunction of zangfu functions. In acupuncture treatment, attention should be paid to “regulation of the heart and brain, and taking zangfu organs in to account at the same time.” Sìshénzhēn (四神针) of JIN’s three-needle, Shéntíng (神庭GV 24) and Yìntáng (印堂GV29) are adopted to regulate the brain, Shénmén (神门HT7) or Nèiguān (内关PC6) are used to regulate the heart shen-mind, Hégǔ (合谷LI4), Tàichōng (太冲LR3), and Sānyīnjiāo (三阴交SP6) are used to regulate zangfu, and the Daoqi Tongjing method is applied to regulate the qi and blood, achieving good effects in the clinical setting. 展开更多

Configurational information entropy(CIE)theory was employed to determine the neutron-skin thickness of neutron-rich calcium isotopes.The nuclear density distributions and fragment cross sections in 350 MeV/u ^(40-60)Ca+^(9)Be projectile fragmentation reactions were calculated using a modified statistical abrasion-ablation model.CIE quantities were determined from the nuclear density,isotopic,mass,and charge distributions.The linear correlations between the CIE determined using the isotopic,mass,and charge distributions and the neutron-skin thickness of the projectile nucleus show that CIE provides new methods to extract the neutron-skin thickness of neutron-rich nuclei. 展开更多

Modern rare isotope beam(RIB)factories will significantly enhance the production of extremely rare isotopes(ERI)at or near drip lines.As one of the most important methods employed in RIB factories,the production of ERIs in projectile fragmentation reactions should be theoretically improved to provide better guidance for experimental research.The cross-sections of ERIs produced in 140 MeV/u^(78,86)Kr/^(58,64)Ni/^(40,48)Ca+9Be projectile fragmentation reactions were predicted using the newly proposed models[i.e.,Bayesian neural network(BNN),BNN+FRACS,and FRACS,see Chin.Phys.C,46:074104(2022)]and the frequently used EPAX3 model.With a minimum cross-section of 1015 mb,the possibilities of ERIs discovery in a new facility for rare isotope beams(FRIB)are discussed. 展开更多

The neutron capture cross section of 197 Au was measured using the time-of-flight(TOF)technique at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)in the 1 eV to 100 keV range.Prompt c-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected by four C_(6)D_(6) liquid scintillator detectors.Pulse height weighting technology(PHWT)was used to analyze the data.The results are in good agreement with ENDF/B-VIII.0,CENDL-3.1,and other evaluated libraries in the resonance region,and in agreement with both n TOF and GELINA experimental data in the 5–100 keV range.Finally,the resonance peaks in the energy range from 1eV to 1 keV were fitted by the SAMMY R-matrix code. 展开更多

Downy mildew of grapevine(Vitis vinifera L.),caused by the oomycete pathogen Plasmopara viticola,is one of the most serious concerns for grape production worldwide.It has been widely reported that the pathogenesis-related 4(PR4)protein plays important roles in plant resistance to diseases.However,little is known about the role of PR4 in the defense of grapevine against P.viticola.In this study,we engineered loss-of-function mutations in the VvPR4b gene from the cultivar“Thompson Seedless”using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and evaluated the consequences for downy mildew resistance.Sequencing results showed that deletions were the main type of mutation introduced and that no off-target events occurred.Infection assays using leaf discs showed that,compared to wild-type plants,the VvPR4b knockout lines had increased susceptibility to P.viticola.This was accompanied by reduced accumulation of reactive oxygen species around stomata.Measurement of the relative genomic abundance of P.viticola in VvPR4b knockout lines also demonstrated that the mutants had increased susceptibility to the pathogen.Our results confirm that VvPR4b plays an active role in the defense of grapevine against downy mildew. 展开更多

AIM To investigate the utility of renal diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) to detect early renal damage in patients with type 2 diabetes.METHODS Twenty-six diabetic patients(12 with microalbuminuria(MAU), and 14 with normoalbuminuria) and fourteen healthy volunteers were prospectively included in this study. Renal DTI on 3.0 T MR was performed, and estimated glomerular filtration rate(e GFR) was recorded for each subject. Mean cortical and medullary fractional anisotropy(FA) values were calculated by placing multiple representative regions of interest. Mean FA values were statistically compared among groups. Correlations between FA values and e GFR were evaluated. RESULTS Both cortical and medullary FA were significantly reduced in diabetic patients compared to healthy controls(0.403 ± 0.064 vs 0.463 ± 0.047, P = 0.004, and 0.556 ± 0.084 vs 0.645 ± 0.076, P = 0.002, respectively). Cortical FA was significantly lower in diabetic patients with NAU than healthy controls(0.412 ± 0.068 vs 0.463 ± 0.047, P = 0.02). Medullary FA in diabetic patients with NAU and healthy controls were similar(0.582 ± 0.096 vs 0.645 ± 0.076, P = 0.06). Both cortical FA and medullary FA correlated with e GFR(r = 0.382, P = 0.015 and r = 0.552, P = 0.000, respectively).CONCLUSION FA of renal parenchyma on DTI might serve as a more sensitive biomarker of early diabetic nephropathy than MAU. 展开更多

Current machinery requires metallic materials to have better surface properties. Based on an orthogonal experimental design and analysis method, the CeO2-rein- forced nickel nano-composite coatings were prepared by direct current electrodeposition in a nickel sulfate bath containing CeO2 nanoparticles. Statistical results indicate that current density is the most significant variable in the electrodeposition processing, while temperature is the least important factor. The microstructure of Ni and Ni-CeO2 nano-composite coatings was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy-disper- sive spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The microhardness of the Ni coating is enhanced by the incorporation of CeO2 nanoparticles. Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to characterize the corrosion behavior of Ni and Ni-CeO2 coatings. These studies show that Ni- CeOz coating has better corrosion resistance compared to Ni coating. 展开更多

Silver indium cadmium(Ag–In–Cd) control rod is widely used in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants,and it is continuously consumed in a high neutron flux environment. The mass ratio of ^(107)Ag in the Ag–In–Cd control rod is 41.44%. To accurately calculate the consumption value of the control rod, a reliable neutron reaction cross section of the ^(107)Ag is required. Meanwhile,^(107)Ag is also an important weak r nucleus. Thus, the cross sections for neutron induced interactions with ^(107)Ag are very important both in nuclear energy and nuclear astrophysics. The(n, γ) cross section of ^(107)Ag has been measured in the energy range of 1–60 eV using a back streaming white neutron beam line at China spallation neutron source. The resonance parameters are extracted by an R-matrix code. All the cross section of ^(107)Ag and resonance parameters are given in this paper as datasets. The^(74)Se is one of 35 p-nuclei,and^(82)Se is a r-process only nucleus,and their(n,γ)cross sections are vital input parameters for nuclear astrophysics reaction network calculations.The neutron capture cross section in the resonance range of isotopes and even natural selenium samples has not been measured.Promptγ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected by four C_(6)D_(6) liquid scintillator detectors at the Back-n facility of China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS).The pulse height weighting technique(PHWT)was used to analyze the data in the 1 e V to 100 ke V region.The deduced neutron capture cross section was compared with ENDF/B-VIII.0,JEFF-3.2,and JENDL-4.0,and some differences were found.Resonance parameters were extracted by the R-matrix code SAMMY in the 1 e V-1 ke V region.All the cross sections ofnatSe and resonance parameters are given in the datasets.The datasets are openly available at http://www.doi.org/10.11922/sciencedb.j00113.00019. 展开更多
