BACKGROUND Serum retinol-binding protein(RBP)is the primary transport protein of circulating vitamin A.RBP has a crucial role in maintaining nutrient metabolism and physiologic homeostasis.Several studies have indicat...BACKGROUND Serum retinol-binding protein(RBP)is the primary transport protein of circulating vitamin A.RBP has a crucial role in maintaining nutrient metabolism and physiologic homeostasis.Several studies have indicated that serum RBP participates in the progression of diabetes and diabetes-related complications.However,the impact of serum RBP on lower limb atherosclerosis has not been determined in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).AIM To determine the association between serum RBP and lower limb atherosclerosis in individuals with T2DM.METHODS This retrospective study enrolled 4428 eligible T2DM patients and divided the patients into non-lower limb atherosclerosis(n=1913)and lower limb atherosclerosis groups(n=2515)based on lower limb arterial ultrasonography results.At hospital admission,baseline serum RBP levels were assessed,and all subjects were categorized into three groups(Q1-Q3)based on RBP tertiles.Logistic regression,restricted cubic spline regression,subgroup analysis,and machine learning were used to assess the association between RBP levels and lower limb atherosclerosis risk.RESULTS Among 4428 individuals with T2DM,2515(56.80%)had lower limb atherosclerosis.Logistic analysis showed that lower limb atherosclerosis risk increased by 1%for every 1 unit rise in serum RBP level(odds ratio=1.01,95%confidence interval:1.00-1.02,P=0.004).Patients in the highest tertile group(Q3)had a higher lower limb atherosclerosis risk compared to the lowest tertile group(Q1)(odds ratio=1.36,95%confidence interval:1.12-1.67,P=0.002).The lower limb atherosclerosis risk gradually increased with an increase in RBP tertile(P for trend=0.005).Restricted cubic spline analysis indicated a linear correlation between serum RBP levels and lower limb atherosclerosis risk(non-linear P<0.05).Machine learning demonstrated the significance and diagnostic value of serum RBP in predicting lower limb atherosclerosis risk.CONCLUSION Elevated serum RBP levels correlate with an increased lower limb atherosclerosis risk in individuals with T2DM.展开更多
Chronic fatigue syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that lasts for a long time and doesn't alleviate with rest.The number of the cases has been increasing during the era of COVID-1...Chronic fatigue syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that lasts for a long time and doesn't alleviate with rest.The number of the cases has been increasing during the era of COVID-19 pandemic.Acupuncture may have some effect on chronic fatigue syndrome,but its mechanism remains unclear.This article was to summarize the specific manifestations of abnormal central mechanism in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome through laboratory tests and neuroimaging.It was found from the laboratory evaluation that there were changes in the structure of the frontal cortex,thalamus and other brain tissues;factors,including IFN-a and IL-10 in cerebrospinal fluid were found abnormal;results of oxidative and nitrosative stress and changes in neurobiochemical substances,e.g.hypothalamus hormone levels and neurotransmitter concentrations,were observed.With magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography,it was shown that the partial brain of persons with chronic fatigue syndrome had morphological changes with diminished grey matter and white;changes in cerebral blood flow velocity caused by decreased perfusion and functional activity with abnormal connectivity in brain were detected.In addition,there was significant decrease in glucose metabolism accompanied with neuroinflammatory response;metabolic disorders of serotonergic,cholinergic,glutamatergic and yaminobutyric acid energy neurotransmitters were also discovered.The regulatory effect of acupuncture on the above central neurological abnormalities in chronic fatigue syndrome model animals was elaborated,and the direction for further research was analyzed in order to provide ideas for further research on the central mechanism of acupuncture treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome.展开更多
CNC machining systems are inevitably confronted with frequent changes in energy behaviors because they are widely used to perform various machining tasks. It is a challenge to understand and analyze the flexible energ...CNC machining systems are inevitably confronted with frequent changes in energy behaviors because they are widely used to perform various machining tasks. It is a challenge to understand and analyze the flexible energy behaviors in CNC machining systems. A method to model flexible energy behaviors in CNC machining systems based on hierarchical objected-oriented Petri net(HOONet) is proposed. The structure of the HOONet is constructed of a high-level model and detail models. The former is used to model operational states for CNC machining systems, and the latter is used to analyze the component models for operational states. The machining parameters having great impacts on energy behaviors in CNC machining systems are declared with the data dictionary in HOONet models. A case study based on a CNC lathe is presented to demonstrate the proposed modeling method. The results show that it is effective for modeling flexible energy behaviors and providing a fine-grained description to quantitatively analyze the energy consumption of CNC machining systems.展开更多
In this paper,we propose a hybrid model aiming to map the input noise vector to the label of the generated image by the generative adversarial network(GAN).This model mainly consists of a pre-trained deep convolution ...In this paper,we propose a hybrid model aiming to map the input noise vector to the label of the generated image by the generative adversarial network(GAN).This model mainly consists of a pre-trained deep convolution generative adversarial network(DCGAN)and a classifier.By using the model,we visualize the distribution of two-dimensional input noise,leading to a specific type of the generated image after each training epoch of GAN.The visualization reveals the distribution feature of the input noise vector and the performance of the generator.With this feature,we try to build a guided generator(GG)with the ability to produce a fake image we need.Two methods are proposed to build GG.One is the most significant noise(MSN)method,and the other utilizes labeled noise.The MSN method can generate images precisely but with less variations.In contrast,the labeled noise method has more variations but is slightly less stable.Finally,we propose a criterion to measure the performance of the generator,which can be used as a loss function to effectively train the network.展开更多

To obtain high accuracy for the primary-side feedback, a digital primary-side sensing technology is adopted, which can auto-track the knee point of the primary auxiliary winding voltage. Furthermore, an internal digital compensator eliminates the need for external loop compensation components while achieving excellent line and load regulation. The controller could output both constant voltage and constant current depending on the load current. Pulse width modulation and pulse frequency modulation are used in constant voltage mode while quasi-resonant control is used in constant current mode.
