Cardiovascular diseases(CVDs)rank among the foremost contributors to mortality worldwide.Despite the significant breakthroughs in treatment and drug development in recent years, the incidence and mortality rates associated with CVDs continue to remain alarmingly high.In terms of drugs, numerous medications often come with various adverse effects while they actually exert therapeutic effects. As economies grow and living standards improve, patients with CVDs increasingly seek medications with precise efficacy but minimal side effects.Recent evidence increasingly indicates the significant role of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of CVDs.Rosemary(Rosmarinus officinalis L.),a fragrant plant with medicinal properties,is extensively utilized in folk medicine, pharmaceuticals, and the cosmetics industry, with its safety extensively confirmed by research. As a potent antioxidant, its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties confer potential application value in treating various diseases, including CVDs.This paper reviews the applications and mechanisms of rosemary and its main active components in treating CVDs and systematically summarizes their effects in regulating blood pressure, combating myocardial ischemia, enhancing heart function, and preventing atherosclerosis, thereby offering a foundation for the development of novel treatment strategies. 展开更多
