The exogenous plant growth regulator,diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate(DA-6),in combination with suitable varieties and planting densities,is important to increase yield in the maize-soybean strip intercropping system.To i...The exogenous plant growth regulator,diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate(DA-6),in combination with suitable varieties and planting densities,is important to increase yield in the maize-soybean strip intercropping system.To identify the role of DA-6 in mitigating high-density stress and increasing yield,we conducted a two-year field experiment examining changes in branching architecture and other yield traits of soybeans in maize-soybean strip intercropping systems.In the planting system,two soybean cultivars(ND:Nandou 25 and QH:Qihuang 34)were grown under three planting densities(D1:102,000 plants ha^(-1),D2:130,000 plants ha^(-1),D3:158,000 plants ha^(-1))with DA-6 treatments(DA0:water control;DA60:60 mg L^(-1);DA100:100 mg L^(-1)).Applying DA-6 at 60 mg L^(-1)at the fourth trifoliolate leaf stage increased soybean yield,with QH yield rising by 22.4% and 29.5% at D3 density,and ND yield by 29.5% and 30.0% at D2 density in 2022 and 2023,respectively,compared with D1 under DA0.DA-6improved photosynthesis in both varieties under D2 density,with DA60 increasing ND canopy photosynthetic rate by 15.1%-16.4% and QG by 9.1%-20.6% over two years.In ND,DA-6 enhanced branching,raising the leaf area index by 37%,branch number from 3.6 to 4.7 per plant,and total pod number by 19.7%.In QH,yield grains were mainly due to a 17% increase in the number of stem pods and a 6.5% improvement in hundred-grain weight.In the maize-soybean strip intercropping system,QH achieved a high yield by forming a high-density(D2 to D3)main stem pod,and ND by combining moderate density(D1 to D2)with DA-6-induced branching.展开更多
Current treatments for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)have limited success in improving patients’quality of life and prolonging life expectancy.The clinical need for more efficient and safe therapies has contr...Current treatments for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)have limited success in improving patients’quality of life and prolonging life expectancy.The clinical need for more efficient and safe therapies has contributed to the exploration of emerging strategies.Recently,there has been increased interest in oncolytic viruses(OVs)as a therapeutic modality for HCC.OVs undergo selective replication in cancerous tissues and kill tumor cells.Strikingly,pexastimogene devacirepvec(Pexa-Vec)was granted an orphan drug status in HCC by the U.S.Food and Drug Administration(FDA)in 2013.Meanwhile,dozens of OVs are being tested in HCC-directed clinical and preclinical trials.In this review,the pathogenesis and current therapies of HCC are outlined.Next,we summarize multiple OVs as single therapeutic agents for the treatment of HCC,which have demonstrated certain efficacy and lowtoxicity.Emerging carrier cell-,bioengineered cell mimetic-or nonbiological vehicle-mediated OV intravenous delivery systems in HCC therapy are described.In addition,we highlight the combination treatments between oncolytic virotherapy and other modalities.Finally,the clinical challenges and prospects of OV-based biotherapy are discussed,with the aim of continuing to develop a fascinating approach in HCC patients.展开更多

Background The employment of clinical databases in the study of mental disorders is essential to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with mental illness. While text corpora obtain merely limited information of con...Background The employment of clinical databases in the study of mental disorders is essential to the diagnosis and treatment of patients with mental illness. While text corpora obtain merely limited information of content, speech corpora capture tones, emotions, rhythms and many other signals beyond content. Hence, the design and development of speech corpora for patients with mental disorders is increasingly important. Aim This review aims to extract the existing speech corpora for mental disorders from online databases and peer-reviewed journals in order to demonstrate both achievements and challenges in this area. Methods The review first covers publications or resources worldwide, and then leads to the reports from China, followed by a comparison between Chinese and nonChinese regions. Results Most of the speech databases were recorded in Europe or the United States by audio or video. Some were even supplemented by brain images and Event- Related Potential (ERP) statistics. The corpora were mostly developed for patients with neurocognitive disorders like stutter and aphasia, and mental illness like dementia, while other types of mental illness such as bipolar disorder, anxiety, d即ression and autism were scarce in number in database development. Strengths and limitations The results demonstrated that database development of neurocognitive disorders in China is much scarcer than that in some European countries, but the existing databases pave an instructive road for psychiatric problems. Also, the methods and applications of databases from the leading countries are inspiring for Chinese scholars, who are searchi ng methods for developing a comprehensive resource for clinical studies.展开更多
Relay cropping of Poaceae and Fabaceae promotes high yield and land-use efficiency by allowing a double harvest.However,it is difficult to increase yield synergistically because of the reduced photosynthetic abilities...Relay cropping of Poaceae and Fabaceae promotes high yield and land-use efficiency by allowing a double harvest.However,it is difficult to increase yield synergistically because of the reduced photosynthetic abilities of legume leaves under the shade of graminoids.Leaf photosynthetic capacity in relay cropping systems is associated with ecological niche differentiation and photosynthetic compensation after restoration of normal light.We conducted a field experiment in southwest China in 2020–2021 to evaluate the effects of three cropping patterns:maize–soybean relay cropping(IMS),monoculture maize(MM),and monoculture soybean(SS),and N application levels:no N application(NN:0 kg N ha^(−1)),reduced N(RN:180 kg N ha^(−1)),and conventional N(CN:240 kg N ha^(−1)).Compared to monocropping,relay cropping increased the stay-green traits of maize and soybean by 13%and 89%,respectively.Relay cropping prolonged the leaf stay-green duration in the maize and soybean lag phase by almost 4 and 8 days,respectively.Relay cropping maize(IM)increased the leaf area index(LAI)by 79.4%to 88.5%under NN and 55.5%to 148%under RN.Relay cropping soybean(IS)increased the LAI from 115%to 437%at days 40 to 50 after anthesis.IM increased yield by 65.6%.IS increased yield by 9.7%.HI and system yield were at their highest values under RN.In the relay cropping system,reduced N application extended green leaf duration,increased photosynthesis inside the canopy at multiple levels,ultimately increases soybean yield synergistically.展开更多

In this work,a new method to solve the Reynolds equation including mass-conserving cavitation by using the physics informed neural networks(PINNs)is proposed.The complementarity relationship between the pressure and t...In this work,a new method to solve the Reynolds equation including mass-conserving cavitation by using the physics informed neural networks(PINNs)is proposed.The complementarity relationship between the pressure and the void fraction is used.There are several difficulties in problem solving,and the solutions are provided.Firstly,the difficulty for considering the pressure inequality constraint by PINNs is solved by transferring it into one equality constraint without introducing error.While the void fraction inequality constraint is considered by using the hard constraint with the max-min function.Secondly,to avoid the fluctuation of the boundary value problems,the hard constraint method is also utilized to apply the boundary pressure values and the corresponding functions are provided.Lastly,for avoiding the trivial solution the limitation for the mean value of the void fraction is applied.The results are validated against existing data,and both the incompressible and compressible lubricant are considered.Good agreement can be found for both the domain and domain boundaries.展开更多
Aims:The endoscopic treatment of esophagogastric varices is challenging,and the nationwide application of endoscopic therapies for various types of esophagogastric varices and different clinical scenarios remains uncl...Aims:The endoscopic treatment of esophagogastric varices is challenging,and the nationwide application of endoscopic therapies for various types of esophagogastric varices and different clinical scenarios remains unclear.This study investigated the use of endoscopic therapy for portal hypertension in China.Methods:This study used a questionnaire survey initiated by the Liver Health Consortium in China to investigate the use of endoscopic therapies for portal hypertension.Questionnaires were released online from January 30,2023 to February 28,2023 and filled out by chief physicians or senior instructors responsible for endoscopic therapies in participating hospitals across 31 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)in China.Comparisons of guideline adherence between primary and referral medical centers were performed using the chi‐square test or Fisher's exact test.Results:In total,836 hospitals participated in the survey.For primary and secondary prophylaxis of esophagogastric variceal bleeding(EGVB),adherence to the national guidelines was 72.5%(606/836)and 39.2%(328/836),respectively.Significant differences were observed in the rate of adherence between the primary and referral centers for primary(79.9%[111/139]vs.71.0%[495/697],p=0.033)and secondary prophylaxis(27.3%[38/139]vs.41.6%[290/697],p=0.002).Of the hospitals,78.2%(654/836)preferred endoscopic therapies for acute EGVB,and the timing of endoscopy was usually within 12 h(48.5%,317/654)and 12-24 h(36.9%,241/654)after bleeding.Endoscopic therapy was more likely to be the first choice of treatment for acute EGVB in referral centers than in primary centers(82.6%[576/697]vs.56.1%[78/139],p<0.001).Regarding the management of gastroesophageal varices type 2 and isolated gastric varices type 1,the most prevalent procedures were cyanoacrylate injection combined with sclerotherapy(48.2%[403/836]and 29.9%[250/836],respectively);however,substantial hospitals preferred clip-assisted therapies(12.4%[104/836]and 26.4%[221/836],respectively).Nonselective beta‐blockers were routinely used in 73.4%(614/836)of hospitals during the perioperative period of EGVB management,and propranolol(88.8%,545/614)and carvedilol(37.5%,230/614)were the most widely used nonselective beta-blockers.Conclusions:This survey clarified that various endoscopic procedures have been implemented nationwide in China.Participating hospitals have actively performed emergent endoscopy for acute EGVB;however,these hospitals do not adequately follow recommendations regarding primary and secondary prophylaxis of EGVB.In the future,standardizing the selection of endoscopic procedures and improving compliance with guidelines is crucial.展开更多

文摘In this work,a new method to solve the Reynolds equation including mass-conserving cavitation by using the physics informed neural networks(PINNs)is proposed.The complementarity relationship between the pressure and the void fraction is used.There are several difficulties in problem solving,and the solutions are provided.Firstly,the difficulty for considering the pressure inequality constraint by PINNs is solved by transferring it into one equality constraint without introducing error.While the void fraction inequality constraint is considered by using the hard constraint with the max-min function.Secondly,to avoid the fluctuation of the boundary value problems,the hard constraint method is also utilized to apply the boundary pressure values and the corresponding functions are provided.Lastly,for avoiding the trivial solution the limitation for the mean value of the void fraction is applied.The results are validated against existing data,and both the incompressible and compressible lubricant are considered.Good agreement can be found for both the domain and domain boundaries.

文摘Aims:The endoscopic treatment of esophagogastric varices is challenging,and the nationwide application of endoscopic therapies for various types of esophagogastric varices and different clinical scenarios remains unclear.This study investigated the use of endoscopic therapy for portal hypertension in China.Methods:This study used a questionnaire survey initiated by the Liver Health Consortium in China to investigate the use of endoscopic therapies for portal hypertension.Questionnaires were released online from January 30,2023 to February 28,2023 and filled out by chief physicians or senior instructors responsible for endoscopic therapies in participating hospitals across 31 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)in China.Comparisons of guideline adherence between primary and referral medical centers were performed using the chi‐square test or Fisher's exact test.Results:In total,836 hospitals participated in the survey.For primary and secondary prophylaxis of esophagogastric variceal bleeding(EGVB),adherence to the national guidelines was 72.5%(606/836)and 39.2%(328/836),respectively.Significant differences were observed in the rate of adherence between the primary and referral centers for primary(79.9%[111/139]vs.71.0%[495/697],p=0.033)and secondary prophylaxis(27.3%[38/139]vs.41.6%[290/697],p=0.002).Of the hospitals,78.2%(654/836)preferred endoscopic therapies for acute EGVB,and the timing of endoscopy was usually within 12 h(48.5%,317/654)and 12-24 h(36.9%,241/654)after bleeding.Endoscopic therapy was more likely to be the first choice of treatment for acute EGVB in referral centers than in primary centers(82.6%[576/697]vs.56.1%[78/139],p<0.001).Regarding the management of gastroesophageal varices type 2 and isolated gastric varices type 1,the most prevalent procedures were cyanoacrylate injection combined with sclerotherapy(48.2%[403/836]and 29.9%[250/836],respectively);however,substantial hospitals preferred clip-assisted therapies(12.4%[104/836]and 26.4%[221/836],respectively).Nonselective beta‐blockers were routinely used in 73.4%(614/836)of hospitals during the perioperative period of EGVB management,and propranolol(88.8%,545/614)and carvedilol(37.5%,230/614)were the most widely used nonselective beta-blockers.Conclusions:This survey clarified that various endoscopic procedures have been implemented nationwide in China.Participating hospitals have actively performed emergent endoscopy for acute EGVB;however,these hospitals do not adequately follow recommendations regarding primary and secondary prophylaxis of EGVB.In the future,standardizing the selection of endoscopic procedures and improving compliance with guidelines is crucial.

文摘Cancer immunotherapy especially immune checkpoint inhibition has achieved unprecedented successes in cancer treatment.However,there are many patients who failed to benefit from these therapies,highlighting the need for new combinations to increase the clinical efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors.In this review,we summarized the latest discoveries on the combination of nucleic acid-sensing immunity and immune checkpoint inhibitors in cancer immunotherapy.Given the critical role of nuclear acid-mediated immunity in maintaining the activation of T cell function,it seems that harnessing the nuclear acidmediated immunity opens up new strategies to enhance the effect of immune checkpoint inhibitors for tumor control.
