Electrical characteristics of an isolated supercell storm observed on 13 June 2014 over Beijing were investigated using lightning data obtained from the Beijing Lightning Network,radar reflectivity,and hydrometeor ret...Electrical characteristics of an isolated supercell storm observed on 13 June 2014 over Beijing were investigated using lightning data obtained from the Beijing Lightning Network,radar reflectivity,and hydrometeor retrievals during the 6-h lifetime.Positive cloud-to-ground(+CG)lightning took a high percentage of CG lightning.Before and during a hail event,+CG lightning was more frequent than negative cloud-to-ground(-CG)lightning,except that+CG lightning took a high percentage at the beginning and in the dissipating stage.After the hail event ended,-CG lightning dominated and reached its maximum value.An analysis of hydrometeors retrieved by X-band polarimetric radar revealed that the discharge concentrated in the convective region with graupel particles and hailstones,whereas graupel,snow and ice crystals in the stratiform region.Lightning radiation sources were located mainly in the convective region,some of which were distributed along a gradient of radar reflectivity from the convective region to the stratiform region.The indication is that the supercell demonstrated an inverted tripole charge structure before the hail event,which converted to a normal tripole structure after the hail event.展开更多
Based on the literature analysis,this paper identifies the five factors of problem-solving skills:cognitive ability,knowledge,meta-cognitive ability,motivation,and emotion;teaching intervention strategies;and teaching...Based on the literature analysis,this paper identifies the five factors of problem-solving skills:cognitive ability,knowledge,meta-cognitive ability,motivation,and emotion;teaching intervention strategies;and teaching sessions that affect the development of problem-solving ability.On this basis,a blended teaching mode for cultivating problem-solving ability is designed.The article uses the problem-solving ability evaluation questionnaire to test the effect of pre-test and post-test after teaching intervention on 25 college students.The results verify that the blended teaching model designed in this paper is effective in promoting the cultivation of problem-solving ability,and provide a reference for promoting the cultivation of students'problem-solving ability in the context of the normalization of blended teaching.展开更多
The recovery of valuable transition metals from deactivated catalysts is crucial for alleviating the challenges of resource scarcity and environmental pollution.Guided by AI-powered big data analysis,we identified an ...The recovery of valuable transition metals from deactivated catalysts is crucial for alleviating the challenges of resource scarcity and environmental pollution.Guided by AI-powered big data analysis,we identified an important research gap in the sustainable recovery of early transition metals and proposed a solid-phase upcycling strategy to transform waste catalysts into highly valuable single-atom catalysts(SACs).This involves a heat-induced redispersion of metal aggregates into single atoms on the polycrystalline carbon nitride(PCN)support,producing highly active M_(1)-PCN SACs up to 20 wt%(M=Cu,Fe,Co,and Ni).Subsequent techno-economic analysis confirms a two-thirds reduction in production cost and greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes,thus paving a new path in the development of sustainable technologies for metal recovery.展开更多
Background:Colorectal cancer(CRC)still ranks the top in morbidity and mortality of cancers worldwide,posing a huge threat and burden to the society.We aimed to determine the age-standardized incidence,mortality,and di...Background:Colorectal cancer(CRC)still ranks the top in morbidity and mortality of cancers worldwide,posing a huge threat and burden to the society.We aimed to determine the age-standardized incidence,mortality,and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)of CRC and explore potential changes in the temporal trends of the CRC burden in Shanghai during 2002 to 2016.Methods:The cancer statistics and demographics were obtained from the Cancer Registry and the Statistics Bureau of Pudong New Area,respectively.Data from 2002 to 2016 were included and analyzed retrospectively.DALYs were calculated using DisMod and the age-standardized rates(ASRs)were obtained according to Segi world standard population.Joinpoint regression was used to measure the trends in CRC incidence and to estimate the annual percent change.Results:The increasing trend of CRC ASR incidence halted after 2014,coinciding with the introduction of the Shanghai CRC screening program.The ASRs of mortality and DALYs increased,at 0.42%(P<0.05)and 4.07%(P<0.001)per year,respectively,which were mainly driven by men and individuals aged above the CRC screening program target.Conclusions:The disease burden of CRC in Shanghai remains serious,especially among men,and individuals aged>74 years.The benefits of the screening program have been partially proven by the ASRs of CRC incidence,providing important insights into better and wider application of screening programs.展开更多
