In this paper,we consider the nonlinear equations involving the fractional p&qLaplace operator with a sign-changing potential.This model is inspired by the De Giorgi Conjecture.There are two main results in this paper.First,in the bounded domain,we use the moving plane method to show that the solution is radially symmetric.Second,for the unbounded domain,in view of the idea of the sliding method,we find the existence of the maximizing sequence of the bounded solution,then obtain that the solution is strictly monotone increasing in some direction. 展开更多

Objective:Lynch syndrome(LS)predisposes patients to early onset endometrioid endometrial cancer(EEC).However,little is known about LS-related EEC in the Chinese population.The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of LS and to identify the specific variants of LS in Chinese patients with EEC.Methods:We applied universal immunohistochemistry screening to detect the expression of mismatch repair(MMR)proteins,which was followed by MLH1 methylation analysis to identify suspected LS cases,next-generation sequencing(NGS)to confirm LS,and microsatellite instability(MSI)analysis to verify LS.Results:We collected 211 samples with EEC.Twenty-seven(27/211,12.8%)EEC cases had a loss of MMR protein expression.After MLH1 methylation analysis,16 EEC cases were suggested to be associated with LS.Finally,through NGS and MSI analysis,we determined that 10 EEC(10/209,4.78%)cases were associated with LS.Among those cases,3 unreported mutations(1 frameshift and 2 nonsense)were identified.M SH6 c.597_597delC,found in 4 patients,is likely to be a founder mutation in China.Conclusions:We demonstrated the feasibility of a process for LS screening in Chinese patients with EEC,by using universal immunohistochemistry screening followed by MLH1 methylation analysis and confirmation through NGS and MSI analysis.The novel mutations identified in this study expand knowledge of LS. 展开更多

Carbon sinks constitute an important element within the complex phenomenon of global climate change,and forest ecosystems are important global carbon sinks.The Natural Forest Protection Program(NFPP) is an ecological program in China that was established after catastrophic flooding in the country in 1998.The goals of the NFPP are to curb the deterioration of the ecological environment,strengthen the protection and restoration of habitat to increase biodiversity,and rehabilitate natural forests to support sustainable development in forest regions.This study looked at changes in carbon sequestration in a forested area of northeast China after the inception of the NFPP.The program divides China's natural forests into three classes—commercial and two types of noneconomic forests—that are subject to management regimes prescribing varying levels of timber harvest,afforestation,and reforestation.During the 18-year period from 1998 to 2015,the total amount of carbon sequestration increased at an average annual rate of 0.04 MT C.This trend reflects a transformation of forest management practices after implementation of the NFPP that resulted in prohibited and/or restricted logging and tighter regulation of allowable harvest levels for specific areas.In documenting this trend,guidelines for more effective implementation of forestry programs such as the NFPP in other countries in the future are also suggested. 展开更多

The humus layer promotes needle litter decomposition but not carbon release or phosphorus accumulation in a Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica plantation

Background The forest floor humus layer is an important carbon pool and serves as a key interface that influences forest soil carbon and nutrient cycling,especially in temperate and boreal forests.Over the past decades,China has implemented numerous forestry ecological programs,leading to an increasing quantity of forest floor litter and the formation of humus layers,which has altered the interface between aboveground litter and surface soil.Our previous study revealed that these alterations affect the litter decomposition rate;however,it is still unclear how the litter decomposition process changes,how nutrients are released or imported and the extent to which these changes depend on the humus layer.Results In this study,we used a 535-day in situ litterbag experiment to monitor the litter decomposition process and nutrient variations under forest floor humus layer removal in a Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica plantation in Northeast China.The results revealed that the litter decomposed quickly when a forest floor humus layer was present,with the decomposition rate constant(k value)increasing from 0.122 to 0.328.Accordingly,during decomposition,the litter C,N and P concentrations increased,whereas their contents varied only slightly(with the exception of the litter P content,which decreased significantly)compared with those in the treatment where the humus layer was removed.However,both the litter C and N contents decreased,whereas the litter P content increased significantly compared with the initial litter content.Moreover,the litter C:N,C:P and N:P ratios decreased significantly during decomposition.In addition,the microbial community diversity of the litter showed no significant change,whereas the relative abundances of several major fungal and bacterial taxa at the phylum and genus levels varied significantly.Furthermore,redundancy analysis revealed effective relationships among the k values,chemical traits and microbial communities,and the least squares method suggested that the C,P and C:P ratios of the litter were significantly correlated with the litter decomposition rate.Conclusions These results enhance our understanding of the role of the humus layer in forest soil-plant carbon and nutrient cycling and should be considered in carbon cycle models in the future. 展开更多

Ultra-high nickel layered oxides,such as LiNi_(0.9)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)(NCM),are widely regarded as one of the most promising cathode materials for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,their poor electrochemical cycling stability and high sensitivity to moisture in the air significantly hinder practical applications.Herein,this work introduces a self-assembled multifunctional hydrophobic molecular layer based on(pentafluorophenylpropyl)trimethoxysilane(PFPPS)by simple one-step self-assembly strategy,simultaneously removing residual lithium,creating an in-situ coating,and establishing a protective hydrophobic layer.The outer highly fluorinated molecular structure imparts exceptional hydrophobicity,significantly increasing the water contact angle from 19.4°to 96.3°,which effectively mitigates Li^(+)/H^(+)exchange and greatly enhances the air-storage stability.Additionally,the electron-withdrawing effect of fluorine groups suppresses the dissolution of transition metal ions,while the LiF functional layer improves lithium-ion conductivity and enhances phase transition reversibility during cycling.After 7 days of air exposure,the modified NCM still delivers an impressive specific capacity of 218.2 mAh g^(-1)at 0.2 C in the first cycle,vastly outperforming the 157.1 mAh g^(-1)of the unmodified sample.This work presents an effective and scalable approach to significantly enhance the environmental and electrochemical stability of ultra-high nickel cathode,offering substantial potential to accelerate their practical applications. 展开更多
