Expanding the hydrogen energy utilization is essential for decarbonization,and the commercialization of hydrogen energy carrier systems that can“store”and“transport”hydrogen in a large scale is necessary.The organ...Expanding the hydrogen energy utilization is essential for decarbonization,and the commercialization of hydrogen energy carrier systems that can“store”and“transport”hydrogen in a large scale is necessary.The organic chemical hydride method incorporates hydrogen atoms into the molecular structure of a LOHC(Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier)to store and transport hydrogen in a liquid state under normal temperature and pressure,and is a highly safe method with low business risk.Chiyoda has been developing the technology since 2002,completed a pilot demonstration in 2014 and named it the SPERA Hydrogen^(TM) System,and successfully completed an international supply chain demonstration that transports hydrogen from Brunei to Japan in a large scale in 2020,moving to the commercialization stage.Currently,Chiyoda is conducting feasibility studies with a number of domestic and foreign companies with the aim of commercializing the system as soon as possible.In this paper,outline,features,development status and our efforts in commercialization of SPERA HydrogenTM System are introduced.展开更多

Furthermore, a siRNA plasmid expression vector against TTYH2 was constructed and transfected into DLD-1 and Caco-2 with LipofectamineTM 2000. The down regulation of TTYH2 expression was detected by RT-PCR and the role of siRNA in inducing cell proliferation and cell aggregation was evaluated by MTT and aggregation assay.RESULTS: TTYH2 gene expression in colon cancer tissue was significantly up-regulated compared with normal colonic mucosa (1.23 ± 0.404 vs 0.655 ± 0.373, P = 0.0103). Colon cancer derived cell lines including DLD-1, Caco-2, and Lovo also expressed high levels of TTYH2. In contrast, transfection with siRNA-TTYH2 signifi cantly inhibited both proliferation and scattering of these cancer cell lines.CONCLUSION: The present work demonstrates, for the fi rst time, that the TTYH2 gene expression is signifi cantly up-regulated in colon cancer. Molecular status is not currently used to select which drug to use in combination with radiotherapy. Our aim was to identify drugs that radiosensitise CRC cells with known BRAF status.Methods: We screened 298 oncological drugs with and without ionising radiation in colorectal cancer cells isogenic for BRAF. Hits from rank product analysis were validated in a 16-cell line panel of human CRC cell lines, using clonogenic survival assays and xenograft models in vivo.Results: Most consistently identified hits were drugs targeting cell growth/proliferation or DNA damage repair. The most effective class of drugs that radiosensitised wild-type and mutant cell lines was PARP inhibitors. In clonogenic survival assays, talazoparib produced a radiation enhancement ratio of 1.9 in DLD1(BRAF-wildtype) cells and 1.8 in RKO(BRAF V600 E) cells. In DLD1 xenografts, talazoparib significantly increased the inhibitory effect of radiation on tumour growth(P ≤ 0.01).Conclusions: Our method for screening large drug libraries for radiosensitisation has identified PARP inhibitors as promising radiosensitisers of colorectal cancer cells with wild-type and mutant BRAF backgrounds.展开更多

We fitted a halo-vest on patients with a fracture of the odontoid process of the axis and evaluated the effects of conservative treatment on cervical muscular atrophy and the number and type of patient complaints afte...We fitted a halo-vest on patients with a fracture of the odontoid process of the axis and evaluated the effects of conservative treatment on cervical muscular atrophy and the number and type of patient complaints after bone union. Four patients had Anderson Type II fractures and 6 patients had Type III fractures. Bone union was observed in all patients within 3 months after injury. After halo-vest fitting, cervical muscular atrophy increased with time, however, it gradually improved after removal of the halo-vest. Patients fixed with a halo-vest for more than 10 weeks complained of cervical discomfort and limited range of motion. No patients with fixation for less than 10 weeks had problems in bone union or had cervical complaints. Thus, less than a 10-week fixation period was considered to be appropriate.展开更多

Since they decided not to undergo surgical treatment, we provided conservative treatment with teriparatide. There has been no previous study on teriparatide for spine fracture in DISH. This is the first report of the successful use of teriparatide to treat spine fracture in DISH without surgical intervention. Our patients were treated with teriparatide for 8-9 months after diagnosis of the fracture. Union was obtained in two cases and no adverse events were observed during treatment. Our report showed that teriparatide could be an alternative to conventional intervention in spinal fracture of DISH.展开更多

Methods: We firstl...Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the presence of bacteriostatic effects of hyaluronan-based bioresorbable membrane (HA/CMC) on selected major bacterial strains in digestive organs. Methods: We firstly evaluated the growth inhibition effect of HA/CMC for E. coli and S. aureus by determining the optical density (OD)650 in the incubation medium. At second, to determine the viable counts of bacteria, total adenosine triphosphate (ATP) were measured with five groups;several concentrations of HA/CMC and control. Results: OD curve gradually elevated and reached to plateau at 4 hours in E. coli. and 6 hours in S. aureus. After reaching plateau, the growth inhibition of both strains was statistically significantly correlated to the concentrations of HA/CMC. The ATP productions had statistically significant differences at 6 hours after incubation and inhibited in dose-dependence of a well-dissolved HA/CMC. Conclusion: HA/CMC may have dose-dependently bacteriostatic effects on S. aureus and E. coli.展开更多
