Magnesium(Mg)alloys are widely used lightweight structural materials for automobiles and help reduce carbon emissions.However,their use increases the production of Mg alloy scrap,which is recycled at a much lower rate than aluminum,and its greater complexity poses challenges to existing recycling processes.Although vacuum distillation can be used to recycle Mg alloy scrap,this requires optimizing and maximizing metal recirculation,but there has been no thermodynamic analysis of this process.In this study,the feasibility and controllability of separating inclusions and 23 metal impurities were evaluated,and their distribution and removal limits were quantified.Thermodynamic analyses and experimental results showed that inclusions and impurity metals of separation coefficient lgβ_(i)≤-5,including Cu,Fe,Co,and Ni below 0.001 ppm,could be removed from the matrix.All Zn entered the recycled Mg,while impurities with-1<lgβ_(i)<-5 such as Li,Ca,and Mn severely affected the purity of the recycled Mg during the later stage of distillation.Therefore,an optimization strategy for vacuum distillation recycling:lower temperatures and higher system pressures for Zn separation in the early stage,and the early termination of the recovery process in the later stage or a continuous supply of raw melt can also prevent contamination during recycling.The alloying elements Al and Zn in Mg alloy scrap can be further recovered and purified by vacuum distillation when economically feasible,to maximize the recycling of metal resources. 展开更多

In this paper,the transferable belief model established on power sets is extended to the permutation event space(PES)and is referred to as the layer-2 transferable belief model.Our goal is to provide a comprehensive approach for handling and modeling uncertainty,capable of representing both quantitative and qualitative information.First,the motivation for proposing the layer-2 transferable belief model and its information processing principles are explored from the perspective of weak propensity.Then,based on these principles,the corresponding information processing methods for the credal and pignistic levels are developed.Finally,the advantages of this model are validated through a classifier that leverages attribute fusion to enhance performance and decision-making accuracy. 展开更多

A new potassium nitrate (KNO3)]diatomite shape-stabilized composite phase change material (SS- CPCM) was prepared by the mixing and sintering method. KNO3 served as the phase change material (PCM) for thermal energy storage, while diatomite acted as the carrier matrix to provide the structural strength and prevent the leakage of PCM. It was found that KNO3 could be retained 65 wt% into pores and on surfaces of diatomite without the leakage of melted KNO3 from the SS-CPCM. The calculated filling rate of molten KNO3 that could enter into the disc-like shape pore of diatomite verified the scanning elec- tronic microscopy images of SS-CPCM. X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy results showed that no reaction occurred between KNO3 and diatomite, performing good compatibility. Accord- ing to the differential scanning calorimetry results, after 50 thermal cycles, the phase change temperatures for melting and freezing of SS-CPCM with 65 wt% KNO3 were changed from 330.23 ℃ and 332.90 ℃ to 330.11 ℃ and 332.84 ℃ and corresponding latent heats varied from 60.52 J/g and 47.30 J/g to 54.64 J/g and 41.25 J/g, respectively. The KNO3/diatomite SS-CPCM may be considered as a potential storage media in solar power plants for thermal energy storage. 展开更多

Vacuum distillation is a technique suitable for low boiling and melting point materials,to remove the heavy and low vapor pressure impurities at low level.As indium has low melting point and high boiling point,it is suitable for refining by vacuum distillation.First,saturation vapor pressure for major elements in crude indium was calculated by the Clausius–Clay Prang equation,which could approximately predict the temperature and pressure during vacuum distillation process.Second,the activity coefficients for In–Cd,In–Zn,In–Pb,In–Tl at 1373 K,and In–Sn at 1573 K were acquired by means of molecular interaction on volume model.Vapor–liquid equilibrium composition diagrams of those above systems in crude indium were drawn based on activity coefficients.These diagrams could estimate the compositions of products in each process during the refinement of crude indium.Finally,1.2–1.6 ton crude indium was used per day when vacuum distillation experiments were carried out,and experimental results are in good agreement with the predicted values of the vapor–liquid equilibrium composition diagrams. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate clinical articles published in the past 30 years using the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)theory of the lung being connected with large intestine to treat intestinal diseases.We also analyzed the relationship between symptoms,drugs and therapies with data-excavating technology to aid management.METHODS:After retrieving relevant clinical articles,we set up a database,used Microsoft Structured Query Language Server 2005 Analysis Services as a data-excavating tool,and applied the association rule to study the relationship between the symptoms,drugs and therapies of intestinal diseases.RESULTS:The key symptoms of dyschesia,constipation,abdominal fullness,fatigue and pale tongue could be treated with Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum),Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici)and Gualou(Fructus et Semen Trichosanthis)to invigorate Qi and moisten the intestine.Among these agents,Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum)was used most frequently.Clearing Fu-organs was the most prevalent therapy for abdominal fullness,dyschesia,constipation and red tongue.Clearing Fu-organs could be achieved with Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum)and Gualou(Fructus et Semen Trichosanthis),whereas Qi could be invigorated using Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici),Gancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae),Baizhu(Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae)and Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum).Moistening the intestine was possible with Kuxingren(SemenArmeniacae Amarum),Huomaren(Fructus Cannabis)and Jiegeng(Radix Platycodi).Also,moistening the lungs was done with Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum),ventilating the lungs with Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum)and Gualou(Fructus et Semen Trichosanthis),and nourishing the lungs with Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici),Gancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae)and Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum).These data demonstrated that Kuxingren(SemenArmeniacaeAmarum)was a key agent.CONCLUSION:Our analyses of the literature showed clear relationships between symptoms(constipation,dyschesia,abdominal fullness),drugs[Gualou(Fructus et Semen Trichosanthis),Kuxingren(Semen Armeniacae Amarum),Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici)]and therapies(moistening the intestine,clearing Fu-organs,invigorating Qi,ventilating the lungs). 展开更多

Some phenomena abo... Cooling water provides the best protection for refractory in the blast furnace hearth. Stable and suitable water quality and abundant cooling water are the basis for long service life of the hearth. Some phenomena about cooling system in the commercial blast furnaces were described, and reasonable explanations of these phenomena were analyzed. The results show that increasing the amount of cooling water and reducing the inlet temperature of cooling water can increase the cooling effect significantly in the case of water scaling. Heat flux in the blast furnace hearth is the average heat flux of cooling stave, and the erosion of carbon brick is uneven. There is no direct connection between the actual erosion condition and the heat flux in the hearth. The change trend of thermocouple temperature and heat flux in the hearth can reflect whether the gaps exist among the bricks or not, providing an effective guidance for industrial production and the evaluation of safety state in the hearth. And, the film boiling will not occur in the normal cooling system in the blast furnace hearth. 展开更多

The GECAM series of satellites utilizes LaBr_(3)(Ce),LaBr_(3)(Ce,Sr),and NaI(Tl)crystals as sensitive materials for gamma-ray detectors(GRDs).To investigate the nonlinearity in the detection of low-energy gamma rays and address the errors in the calibration of the E-C relationship,comprehensive tests and comparative studies of the three aforementioned crystals were conducted using Compton electrons,radioactive sources,and mono-energetic X-rays.The nonlinearity test results of the Compton electrons and X-rays demonstrated substantial differences,with all three crystals presenting a higher nonlinearity for X/-rays than for Compton electrons.Despite the LaBr_(3)(Ce)and LaBr_(3)(Ce,Sr)crystals having higher absolute light yields,they exhibited a noticeable nonlinear decrease in the light yield,especially at energies below 400 keV.The NaI(Tl)crystal demonstrated an"excess"light output in the 6-200 keV range,reaching a maximum"excess"of 9.2%at 30 keV in the X-ray testing and up to 15.5%at 14 keV during Compton electron testing,indicating a significant advantage in the detection of low-energy gamma rays.Furthermore,we explored the underlying causes of the observed nonlinearity in these crystals.This study not only elucidates the detector responses of GECAM,but also initiates a comprehensive investigation of the nonlinearity of domestically produced lanthanum bromide and sodium iodide crystals. 展开更多

METHODS: Retrieve publicly published clinical litera- tures about "lung being connected with large intes- tine" in recent 30 years, establish the data base of clini- cal literature, and study on the clinically drug-used laws by descriptive statistical analytic method. RESULTS: The common high frequent drugs used for the lung-intestine related diseases were Gualou (Ructus Trichsanthis), Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma), Kuxingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Houpu (Cortex Magnoliae Offi- cinalis), Zhishi (Fructus Aurantii Immaturus). For the different clinical syndrome types, in the commonly used drugs there were different characteristics, re- flecting the principle of TCM syndrome differentia- tion treatment.CONCLUSION: The common high frequent drugs used for the lung-intestine related diseases are Gua- Iou (Fructus Trichsantffis), Dahuang (Radix et Rhi- zoma), Kuxingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum), Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae), Houpu (Cortex Mag- noliae Officinalis), Zhishi (Fructus Aurantii Immatu- rus), which are commonly-used drugs for the lung-intestine related diseases ,with differences for different syndrome types. 展开更多

A non-isocyanate route for synthesizing thermoplastic polyurethanes with excellent thermal and mechanical properties was described. Melt transurethane polycondensation of 1,6-bis(hydroxyethyloxy carbonyl amino)hexane with four poly(ethylene glycol)s (PEGs), i.e. PEG400, PEG600, PEG1000, or PEG1500, was conducted at different molar ratios. A series of thermoplastic poly(ether urethane)s (TPEUs) with long PEG sequences were prepared. The TPEUs were characterized via gel permeation chromatography, FTIR, 1H-NMR, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, wide-angle X-ray scattering, and tensile tests. The TPEUs exhibit Tg between 12.4 ℃ and -40.4 ℃, Tm of up to 149.8 ℃, and initial decomposition temperature over 239.4 ℃. The tensile strength of the TPEUs reaches 38.39 MPa with a strain at break of 852.92%. 展开更多

A series ofpolypeptides bearing biphenyl mesogenic side-chains and oligo-ethylene-glycol (OEG) tails (PPLGn-g- BPOEGm, n = 26 and 63, m = 2, 3, and 7) has been synthesized via a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with quantitative grafting density. FTIR results revealed that the polypeptides adopted highly stable a-helix in the temperature range of 25-200 ℃. DSC, POM and WAXS analysis revealed that PPLGn-g-BPOEGm (m ≤ 3) samples with short OEG tail length showed two main phase transitions including crystal to liquid crystalline (smectie C, SmC) phase transition and the melting transition of crystalline E-phase, while PPLG,-g-BPOEG7 with longer OEG tail length (m = 7) exhibited the melting transitions without the formation of liquid crystalline phase. 展开更多

The study on alternative combination rules in Dempster- Shafer theory (DST) when evidences are in conflict has emerged again recently as an interesting topic, especially in data/information fusion applications. The earlier researches have mainly focused on investigating the alternative which would be appropriate for the conflicting situation, under the assumption that a conflict is identified. However, the current research shows that not only the combination rule but also the classical conflict coefficient in DST are not correct to determine the conflict degree between two pieces of evidences. Most existing methods of measuring conflict do not consider the open world situation, whose frame of discernment is incomplete. To solve this problem, a new conflict representa- tion model to determine the conflict degree between evidences is proposed in the generalized power space, which contains two parameters: the conflict distance and the conflict coefficient of inconsistent evidences. This paper argues that only when the con- flict measure value in the new representation model is high, it is safe to say the evidences are in conflict. Experiments illustrate the efficiency of the proposed conflict representation model. 展开更多

The recycling of scrap has attracted more attention in recent years,and scrap can be used as iron-bearing material to smelt hot metal.The smelting practice of blast furnace(BF)with scrap addition in China was investigated,with the types of scrap being small pieces of scrap,such as crushed materials,light and thin materials,and small compacts which were easy to be added into BFs.The higher productivity of BFs with scrap addition was observed compared with that of BFs without scrap addition at the same volume,and the positive correlation between production increase rate and addition amount of scrap was found.The reducing agent rate of most BFs with scrap addition was lower than the average reducing agent rate at the same volume,while the gas utilization of BFs with scrap addition would not be reduced significantly.The theoretical analysis of cost saving was carried out as well,and the results indicated that the cost could be saved by scrap addition.The melting and carburizing were the two main processes of scrap in BF,in which three steps were involved in the melting process of scrap.The amount of carburization depended on the carbon content of hot metal in hearth and the original carbon content in scrap.The calculation showed that the coke rate could be reduced by 27 kg with 100 kg scrap addition per ton of hot metal,and the saving cost was decided by the amount of scrap and the actual situation of BF. 展开更多

When the existing information does not contain all categories,the Generalized Evidence Theory(GET)can deal with information fusion.However,the question of how to determine the number of categories through GET is still intriguing.To address this question,a modified k-means clustering,named centers initialized clustering is proposed,filling the gap of identification and complement of the frame of discernment.Based on this clustering method,the number of cat-egories is determined.The initialized centers selected by center density keep the cluster results con-stant,enhancing the stability of clustering results.Besides,constructing Generalized basic Probability Assignment(GBPA)modules in a conservative way improves the reliability of the results.The mass of empty set in combined GBPAs is the indicator of the number of categories.Experiments on real and artificial data sets are conducted to show the effectiveness. 展开更多

Polysaccharides exhibit multiple pharmacological activities which are closely related to their structural features.Therefore,quantitatively quality control of polysaccharides based on their chemical charac-teristics is important for their application in biomedical and functional food sciences.However,poly-saccharides are mixed macromolecular compounds that are difficult to isolate and lack standards,making them challenging to quantify directly.In this study,we proposed an improved saccharide mapping method based on the release of specific oligosaccharides for the assessment of Hericium eri-naceus polysaccharides from laboratory cultured and different regions of China.Briefly,a polysaccharide from H.erinaceus was digested by b-(1-3)-glucanase,and the released specific oligosaccharides were labeled with 8-aminopyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic-acid(APTS)and separated by using micellar electrokinetic chromatography(MEKC)coupled with laser induced fluorescence(LIF),and quantitatively estimated.MEKC presented higher resolution compared to polysaccharide analysis using carbohydrate gel elec-trophoresis(PACE),and provided great peak capacity between oligosaccharides with polymerization degree of 2(DP2)and polymerization degree of 6(DP6)in a dextran ladder separation.The results of high performance size exclusion chromatography coupled with multi-angle laser light scattering and refractive index detector(HPSEC-MALLS-RI)showed that 12 h was sufficient for complete digestion of polysaccharides from H.erinaceus.Laminaritriose(DP3)was used as an internal standard for quantifi-cation of all the oligosaccharides.The calibration curve for DP3 showed a good linear regression(R2>0.9988).The limit of detection(LOD)and limit of quantification(LOQ)values were 0.05 mg/mL and 0.2 mg/mL,respectively.The recovery for DP3 was 87.32(±0.03)%in the three independent injections.To sum up,this proposed method is helpful for improving the quality control of polysaccharides from H.erinaceus as well as other materials. 展开更多

Understandings of the effect of hot deformation parameters close to the practical production line on grain refinement are crucial for enhancing both the strength and toughness of future rail steels.In this work,the austenite dynamic recrystallization(DRX)behaviors of a eutectoid pearlite rail steel were studied using a thermo-mechanical simulator with hot deformation parameters frequently employed in rail production lines.The single-pass hot deformation results reveal that the prior austenite grain sizes(PAGSs)for samples with different deformation reductions decrease initially with an increase in deformation temperature.However,once the deformation temperature is beyond a certain threshold,the PAGSs start to increase.It can be attributed to the rise in DRX volume fraction and the increase of DRX grain with deformation temperature,respectively.Three-pass hot deformation results show that the accumulated strain generated in the first and second deformation passes can increase the extent of DRX.In the case of complete DRX,PAGS is predominantly determined by the deformation temperature of the final pass.It suggests a strategic approach during industrial production where part of the deformation reduction in low temperature range can be shifted to the medium temperature range to release rolling mill loads. 展开更多

The case when the source of information provides precise belief function/mass, within the generalized power space, has been studied by many people. However, in many decision situations, the precise belief structure is not always available. In this case, an interval-valued belief degree rather than a precise one may be provided. So, the probabilistic transformation of imprecise belief function/mass in the generalized power space including Dezert-Smarandache (DSm) model from scalar transformation to sub-unitary interval transformation and, more generally, to any set of sub-unitary interval transformation is provided. Different from the existing probabilistic transformation algorithms that redistribute an ignorance mass to the singletons involved in that ignorance pro- portionally with respect to the precise belief function or probability function of singleton, the new algorithm provides an optimization idea to transform any type of imprecise belief assignment which may be represented by the union of several sub-unitary (half-) open intervals, (half-) closed intervals and/or sets of points belonging to [0,1]. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the detailed implementation process of the new probabilistic transformation approach as well as its validity and wide applicability. 展开更多
