Sustained inflammatory responses are closely related to various severe diseases,and inhibiting the excessive activation of inflammasomes and pyroptosis has significant implications for clinical treatment.Natural produ...Sustained inflammatory responses are closely related to various severe diseases,and inhibiting the excessive activation of inflammasomes and pyroptosis has significant implications for clinical treatment.Natural products have garnered considerable concern for the treatment of inflammation.Huanglian-Wumei decoction(HLWMD)is a classic prescription used for treating inflammatory diseases,but the necessity of their combination and the exact underlying anti-inflammatory mechanism have not yet been elucidated.Inspired by the supramolecular self-assembly strategy and natural drug compatibility theory,we successfully obtained berberine(BBR)-chlorogenic acid(CGA)supramolecular(BCS),which is an herbal pair from HLWMD.Using a series of characterization methods,we confirmed the self-assembly mechanism of BCS.BBR and CGA were self-assembled and stacked into amphiphilic spherical supramolecules in a 2:1 molar ratio,driven by electrostatic interactions,hydrophobic interactions,andπ–πstacking;the hydrophilic fragments of CGA were outside,and the hydrophobic fragments of BBR were inside.This stacking pattern significantly improved the anti-inflammatory performance of BCS compared with that of single free molecules.Compared with free molecules,BCS significantly attenuated the release of multiple inflammatory mediators and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced pyroptosis.Its anti-inflammatory mechanism is closely related to the inhibition of intracellular nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB)p65 phosphorylation and the noncanonical pyroptosis signalling pathway mediated by caspase-11.展开更多

The multiple transfer parameters graphical evaluation and review technique(MTP-GERT) is used to model the logistic support process in consideration of two important factors, support activity time and support activity resources, which are two primary causes for the logistic support process uncertainty. On this basis,a global sensitivity analysis(GSA) method based on covariance is designed to analyze the logistic support process uncertainty. BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common cancers and has a poor prognosis.Treatment of GC has remained unchanged over the past few years.AIM To investigate the potential therapeutic targets and related r...BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common cancers and has a poor prognosis.Treatment of GC has remained unchanged over the past few years.AIM To investigate the potential therapeutic targets and related regulatory biomarkers of GC.METHODS We obtained the public GC transcriptome sequencing dataset from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.The datasets contained 348 GC tissues and 141 healthy tissues.In total,251 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified,including 187 down-regulated genes and 64 up-regulated genes.The DEGs’enriched functions and pathways include Progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation,cell cycle,and oocyte meiosis,Hepatitis B,and the Hippo signaling pathway.Survival analysis showed that BUB1,MAD2L1,CCNA2,CCNB1,and BIRC5 may be associated with regulation of the cell cycle phase mitotic spindle checkpoint pathway.We selected 26 regulated genes with the aid of the protein-protein interaction network analyzed by Molecular Complex Detection.RESULTS We focused on three critical genes,which were highly expressed in GC,but negatively related to patient survival.Furthermore,we found that knockdown of Yu K et al.Biochemical analysis in GC WJCC https://www.wjgnet.com 5024 July 26,2023 Volume 11 Issue 21 BIRC5,TRIP13 or UBE2C significantly inhibited cell proliferation and induced cell apoptosis.In addition,knockdown of BIRC5,TRIP13 or UBE2C increased cellular sensitivity to cisplatin.CONCLUSION Our study identified significantly upregulated genes in GC with a poor prognosis using integrated bioinformatics methods.展开更多

Drawing on research practice in aerospace engineering, it outlines the concept of equipment SoS and proposes a corresponding research framework for equipment SoS reliability. By analyzing both the reliability demands of SoSE and the current research practice in aerospace equipment SoS, this study identifies several key challenges: Modeling of SoS and its reliability, network reliability in SoS, propagation and recovery of disturbances in SoS, reliability design and simulation methods, and reliability management in SoSE.展开更多
Lack of trust has been an ongoing issue for decades in construction quality management,hindering the improvement of quality performance.The development of mutual trust depends on immutable,traceable,and transparent co...Lack of trust has been an ongoing issue for decades in construction quality management,hindering the improvement of quality performance.The development of mutual trust depends on immutable,traceable,and transparent construction quality information records.However,current information technologies cannot meet the requirements.To address the challenge,this study explores a blockchain-based framework for construction quality information management,which extends applications of blockchain in the domain of construction quality management.A consortium blockchain system is designed to support construction quality management in which participants’information permissions and lifecycle are discussed.Additionally,this study presents in detail the consensus process that aims to address the problem of information fraud.The automated compliance checking based on smart contracts is presented as well,aiming to assure that construction products meet regulation requirements.Finally,an example of the consortium blockchain network is visualized to validate the feasibility of blockchain-based construction quality information management.The research shows that blockchain can facilitate mutual trust in construction quality management by providing distributed,encrypted,and secure information records and supporting automated compliance checking of construction quality.展开更多

文摘大气细颗粒物PM_(2. 5)污染引起的雾霾天气既与本地污染物排放密切有关,也受局地特殊的风场影响.本文以武汉城市区域为研究对象,分别研究了长江沿岸的江陆风环流、东湖沿岸湖陆风环流的形成与转化特征,发现江风、湖风开始时间均为07:00—08:00,一年中最大风速均能达到2 m/s左右,而春夏季江风的持续时间高于秋冬季,夏季湖风的持续时间高于春季.同时发现区域附近温度和相对湿度之间有明显的相关性,湿度变化趋势大体上跟温度变化趋势相反,且温度对相对湿度的影响存在一定的滞后性,延迟时间大约为1 h.
