The long-term earthquake prediction from 2021 to 2030 is carried out by researching the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.Based on the strong earthquake recurrence model,the cumulative proba...The long-term earthquake prediction from 2021 to 2030 is carried out by researching the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.Based on the strong earthquake recurrence model,the cumulative probability of each target fault in the next 10 years is given by the recurrence period and elapsed time of each fault,which are adopted from relevant studies such as seismological geology,geodesy,and historical earthquake records.Based on the long-term predictions of large earthquakes throughout the world,this paper proposes a comprehensive judgment scheme based on the fault segments with the seismic gap,motion strongly locked,sparse small-moderate earthquakes,and apparent Coulomb stress increase.This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the relative risk for strong earthquakes that may occur in the coming 10 years on the major faults in the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.The present loading rate of each fault is first constrained by geodetic observations;the cumulative displacement of each fault is then estimated by the elapsed time since the most recent strong earthquake.展开更多

The b...A great deal of oil contaminated the shoreline by the Qingdao oil pipeline explosion in 2013. The four oildegrading consortia were enriched from sediment samples with crude oil as sole carbon and energy sources. The biodiversity and community analysis showed that the Luteibacter, Parvibaculum and a genus belonging to Alcanivoracaceae were found predominant bacteria in the four consortia, which belonged to Proteobacteria. Nine strains exhibiting distinct 16S rRNA gene sequences were isolated from the consortia. These strains were identified to eight genera based on 16S rRNA gene sequences. Five of the nine strains degraded more than 30% of the crude oil in two weeks by gravimetric method. From the analysis of GC-MS, most of the isolated strains tended to degrade n-alkanes rather than PAHs. Five strains showed high degrading ability of the total n-alkanes. Only Strain D2 showed great PAHs degrading ability and the degrading rates ranged from 34.9% to 77.5%. The sequencing analysis of the oil-degrading consortia confirmed that the genus of Alcanivorax was one of the dominant bacteria in Consortia A and E and Strain E4 might be one of the dominant bacteria. The strains obtained in this study demonstrated the potential for oil bioremediation in oil-contaminated beach ecosystems.展开更多
Pharmaceuticals,including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),such as indomethacin and ibuprofen,are prevalent pollutants in freshwater ecosystems,raising concerns about their ecological impact.While there i...Pharmaceuticals,including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),such as indomethacin and ibuprofen,are prevalent pollutants in freshwater ecosystems,raising concerns about their ecological impact.While there is literature about pharmaceuticals in aquatic environments,the effects of both chemical and commercial forms of NSAIDs on aquatic organisms,particularly across generations,remain insufficiently explored.This study aims to bridge this gap by assessing the impact of pure and commercial forms of indomethacin,ibuprofen,and their mixture on Daphnia magna,a key freshwater species.Toxicity curves,enzyme activities,and metabolomics were used as endpoints to assess physiological responses to chronic and transgenerational exposures at an environmentally relevant concentration of 5μg/L.Results showed changes in the activities ofβ-galactosidase and lipase,while a targeted LC-MS/MS approach revealed distinct metabolic fingerprints as a result of exposure for four generations to the chemical and commercial indomethacin and ibuprofen.Notably,exposure to chemical mixture of the two NSAIDs increased amino acids and biogenic amines,a trend also observed with commercial NSAIDs and their mixture,while the chemical NSAIDs did not have the same impact.This work emphasizes the necessity of ecotoxicological studies with transgenerational exposures as an approach to comprehend the effect of pharmaceutical stressors at low exposure concentrations,using molecular responses in physiology.This approach contributes to the broader mechanistic understanding of the ecological implications of these pharmaceuticals in freshwater ecosystems.展开更多
Background:This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of magnetocardiograph,a relatively new noninvasive device,in patients with myocardial infarction(MI).Methods:To identify studies assessing the diagnostic...Background:This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of magnetocardiograph,a relatively new noninvasive device,in patients with myocardial infarction(MI).Methods:To identify studies assessing the diagnostic accuracy of magnetocardiography for MI,we searched four databases on November 7,2022,the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,MEDLINE,EMBASE,and Web of Science,plus ClinicalTrials.gov.Three reviewers screened the studies independently and emailed the authors for more precise data when necessary.The Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies 2 tool was used to evaluate the quality of the included studies.STATA(version 17;Stata Corporation,College Station,TX,USA)was used for meta-analysis of 22 contingency table data.Results:A total of 6 articles were included in this study.The diagnostic parameters of all included studies were summarized as follows:the pooled sensitivity was 0.91(95%confidence intervals[95%CIs]:0.81–0.96;I 2=88.54);specificity was 0.83(95%CI:0.75–0.89;I 2=83);positive likelihood ratio was 5.3(95%CI:3.5–8.2);negative likelihood ratio was 0.1(95%CI:0.04–0.24);and diagnostic odds ratio was 51(95%CI:16–161).The area under the curve for the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.92(95%CI:0.89–0.94).After metaregression analysis,we found that the number of channels and the way of environmental magnetic noise elimination were heterogeneous sources.Conclusion:In summary,our meta-analysis shows that magnetocardiography holds a high accuracy in diagnosing MI and takes the advantages of noninvasive,radiation-free,and noncontact.However,further high-quality studies to confirm its usefulness in diagnosing MI are warranted.展开更多
