Digestive health is important for overall well-being,but gut health problems are common in the Chinese population.The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of oatβ-glucan-based prebiotic blended form...Digestive health is important for overall well-being,but gut health problems are common in the Chinese population.The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of oatβ-glucan-based prebiotic blended formulas in humans on digestive health by assessing defecation frequency,defecation symptoms,stool quality,self-reported digestive feelings,defecation satisfaction,and gut bacteria.A parallel,randomized,double-blind,controlled trial was conducted in 168 eligible adults randomized to 3 groups for 14 days:Intervention groups A and B received 2 different doses of oatβ-glucan-based prebiotic blended formulas and a Control group received oatβ-glucan mixed with hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose and microcrystalline cellulose.Participants completed a defecation diary and Bristol stool chart daily and digestive system questionnaires weekly.Fecal samples were collected on day 0 and day 14 to evaluate gut bacteria using 16S rDNA analysis.Both formulas improved defecation frequency,stool quality,defecation symptoms,defecation satisfaction,and on digestive health of human,compared with baseline(P<0.05).Both formulas led to increased quantities of Bifidobacterium and Akkermansia bacteria,compared to control,on day 14.This study therefore demonstrated the beneficial effects of oatβ-glucan-based prebiotic blended formulas on gut health in generally healthy Chinese adults.These formulas are a feasible nutritional strategy for digestive health.展开更多

It is a gram-negative, facultative anaerobe bacterium of the <em>Enterobacteriaceae</em> family. We present a rare case of a patient with multiple injuries, <em>C. lapagei</em> was found from the exudate of the wound, what’s more, the <em>Proteus vulgaris</em> was also found in blood culture medium at the same time. According to the available literature, this is the first case of simultaneous infection of two bacteria including <em>C. lapagei </em>and <em>Proteus vulgaris</em> from the exudate of the traumatic wound.展开更多
Zero-dimensional(0D)hybrid metal halides(HMHs)hold great promise as multifunctional emitters.However,precise functionalization of organic moieties and controlled modulation of self-trapped exciton(STE)emission from in...Zero-dimensional(0D)hybrid metal halides(HMHs)hold great promise as multifunctional emitters.However,precise functionalization of organic moieties and controlled modulation of self-trapped exciton(STE)emission from inorganic polyhedra remain challenging.This study introduces 0D(PMA)_(3)InBr_(6)(PMA+=C_(6)H_(5)CH_(2)NH_(3)^(+))as a multifunctional emitter,leveraging pressure-induced structural regulation to control photoluminescence properties.Increasing pressure leads to simultaneous contraction and distortion of InBr63−octahedra,shifting the STE emission color from orange to green.At high compression,structural amorphization quenches STE emission,but upon pressure release,a bright cyan emission from the PMA^(+)cation emerges,with intensity approximately 21 times stronger than that of the initial STE emission.The enhanced emission is attributed to altered molecular configurations,disrupted intermolecular contacts,and reduced lattice vibrations,collectively suppressing excimeric coupling and minimizing nonradiative losses in the recovered amorphous phase.Furthermore,emission conversion is also achieved via laser-induced structural amorphization,expanding the potential of(PMA)_(3)InBr_(6)for direct laser writing and sensitive laser detection applications.展开更多
Reed-Solomon codes are widely used to establish a reliable channel to transmit information in digital communication which has a strong error correction capability and a variety of efficient decoding algorithm.Usually ...Reed-Solomon codes are widely used to establish a reliable channel to transmit information in digital communication which has a strong error correction capability and a variety of efficient decoding algorithm.Usually we use the maximum likelihood decoding(MLD)algorithm in the decoding process of Reed-Solomon codes.MLD algorithm relies on determining the error distance of received word.Dür,Guruswami,Wan,Li,Hong,Wu,Yue and Zhu et al.got some results on the error distance.For the Reed-Solomon code C,the received word u is called an ordinary word of C if the error distance d(u,C)=n-deg u(x)with u(x)being the Lagrange interpolation polynomial of u.We introduce a new method of studying the ordinary words.In fact,we make use of the result obtained by Y.C.Xu and S.F.Hong on the decomposition of certain polynomials over the finite field to determine all the ordinary words of the standard Reed-Solomon codes over the finite field of q elements.This completely answers an open problem raised by Li and Wan in[On the subset sum problem over finite fields,Finite Fields Appl.14(2008)911-929].展开更多
