Object imaging beyond the direct line of sight is significant for applications in robotic vision,remote sensing,autonomous driving,and many other areas.Reconstruction of a non-line-of-sight(NLOS)screen is a complex inverse problem that comes with ultrafast time-resolved imager requirements and substantial computational demands to extract information from the multi-bounce scattered light.Consequently,the echo signal always suffers from serious deterioration in both intensity and shape,leading to limited resolution and image contrast.Here,we propose a concept of vectorial digitelligent optics for high-resolution NLOS imaging to cancel the wall’s scattering and refocus the light onto hidden targets for enhanced echo.In this approach,the polarization and wavefront of the laser spot are intelligently optimized via a feedback algorithm to form a near-perfect focusing pattern through a random scattering wall.By raster scanning the focusing spot across the object’s surface within the optical-memory-effect range of the wall,we obtain nearly diffraction-limited NLOS imaging with an enhanced signal-to-noise ratio.Our experimental results demonstrate a resolution of 0.40 mm at a distance of 0.35 m,reaching the diffraction limit of the system.Furthermore,we demonstrate that the proposed method is feasible for various complex NLOS scenarios.Our methods may open an avenue for active imaging,communication,and laser wireless power transfer. 展开更多

Optical monitoring of object position and alignment with nanoscale precision is critical for ultra-precision measurement applications,such as micro/nano-fabrication,weak force sensing,and micro-scopic imaging.Traditional optical nanometry methods often rely on precision nanostructure fabrication,multi-beam interferometry,or complex post-processing algorithms,which can limit their practical use.In this study,we introduced a simplified and robust quantum measurement technique with an achievable resolution of 2.2 pm and an experimental demonstration of 1 nm resolution,distinguishing it from conventional interferometry,which depended on multiple reference beams.We designed a metasurface substrate with a mode-conversion function,in which an incident Gaussian beam is converted into higher-order transverse electromagnetic mode(TEM)modes.A theoretical analysis,including calculations of the Fisher information,demonstrated that the accuracy was maintained for nanoscale displacements.In conclusion,the study findings provide a new approach for precise alignment and metrology of nanofabrication and other advanced applications. 展开更多

Many approaches inquiring into variational inequality problems have been put forward,among which subgradient extragradient method is of great significance.A novel algorithm is presented in this article for resolving quasi-nonexpansive fixed point problem and pseudomonotone variational inequality problem in a real Hilbert interspace.In order to decrease the execution time and quicken the velocity of convergence,the proposed algorithm adopts an inertial technology.Moreover,the algorithm is by virtue of a non-monotonic step size rule to acquire strong convergence theorem without estimating the value of Lipschitz constant.Finally,numerical results on some problems authenticate that the algorithm has preferable efficiency than other algorithms. 展开更多

Spinal cord injury is a serious disease of the central nervous system involving irreversible nerve injury and various organ system injuries.At present,no effective clinical treatment exists.As one of the artificial hibernation techniques,mild hypothermia has preliminarily confirmed its clinical effect on spinal cord injury.However,its technical defects and barriers,along with serious clinical side effects,restrict its clinical application for spinal cord injury.Artificial hibernation is a futureoriented disruptive technology for human life support.It involves endogenous hibernation inducers and hibernation-related central neuromodulation that activate particular neurons,reduce the central constant temperature setting point,disrupt the normal constant body temperature,make the body adapt"to the external cold environment,and reduce the physiological resistance to cold stimulation.Thus,studying the artificial hibernation mechanism may help develop new treatment strategies more suitable for clinical use than the cooling method of mild hypothermia technology.This review introduces artificial hibernation technologies,including mild hypothermia technology,hibernation inducers,and hibernation-related central neuromodulation technology.It summarizes the relevant research on hypothermia and hibernation for organ and nerve protection.These studies show that artificial hibernation technologies have therapeutic significance on nerve injury after spinal co rd injury through inflammatory inhibition,immunosuppression,oxidative defense,and possible central protection.It also promotes the repair and protection of res pirato ry and digestive,cardiovascular,locomoto r,urinary,and endocrine systems.This review provides new insights for the clinical treatment of nerve and multiple organ protection after spinal cord injury thanks to artificial hibernation.At present,artificial hibernation technology is not mature,and research fa ces various challenges.Neve rtheless,the effort is wo rthwhile for the future development of medicine. 展开更多

In this study,we investigated the functional role of eukaryotic initiation factor 5B(EIF5B)in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and the underlying mechanisms.Bioinformatics analysis demonstrated that the EIF5B transcript and protein levels as well as the EIF5Bcopy number were significantly higher in the HCC tissues compared with the non-cancerous liver tissues.Down-regulation of EIF5B significantly decreased proliferation and invasiveness of the HCC cells.Furthermore,EIF5B knockdown suppressed epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and the cancer stem cell(CSC)phenotype.Down-regulation of EIF5B also increased the sensitivity of HCC cells to 5-fluorouracil(5-FU).In the HCC cells,activation of the NF-kappa B signaling pathway and IkB phosphorylation was significantly reduced by EIF5B silencing.IGF2BP3 increased the stability of the EIF5B mRNA in an m6A-dependent manner.Our data suggested that EIF5B is a promising prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in HCC. 展开更多

This paper addresses the robust fault-tolerant control problem for a class of uncertain nonlinear switched systems with actuator saturation.Our aim is to design a switching law and a robust fault-tolerant control law for guaranteeing that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stabilizable,while at the same time the attraction domain estimation is as large as possible.By using the multiple Lyapunov functions method,sufficient conditions for robust fault-tolerant stabilisation are proposed for the closed-loop system.Then,when some scalar parameters are given in advance,the problem of fault-tolerant controller design and attraction domain estimation is transformed into a convex optimisation problem with linear matrix inequality(LMl)constraints.Finally the validity of the proposed design method is verified by a numerical example. 展开更多

Traditional optical components are usually designed for a single functionality and narrow operation band,leading to the limited practical applications.To date,it is still quite challenging to efficiently achieve multifunctional performances within broadband operating bandwidth via a single planar optical element.Here,a broadband high-efficiency polarization-multiplexing method based on a geometric phase polymerized liquid crystal metasurface is proposed to yield the polarization-switchable functionalities in the visible.As proofs of the concept,two broadband high-efficiency polymerized liquid crystal metalenses are designed to obtain the spin-controlled behavior from diffraction-limited focusing to sub-diffraction focusing or focusing vortex beams.The experimental results within a broadband range indicate the stable and excellent optical performance of the planar liquid crystal metalenses.In addition,low-cost polymerized liquid crystal metasurfaces possess unique superiority in large-scale patterning due to the straightforward processing technique rather than the point-by-point nanopatterning method with high cost and low throughput.The high-efficiency liquid crystal metasurfaces also have unrivalled advantages benefiting from the characteristic with low waveguide absorption.The proposed strategy paves the way toward multifunctional and high-integrity optical systems,showing great potential in mobile devices,optical imaging,robotics,chiral materials,and optical interconnections. 展开更多
