Shallow-water seabed reverberation presents a critical disturbance in acoustic propagation,affecting the target detection performance of monostatic sonar.This paper proposes a novel seabed reverberation model integrat...Shallow-water seabed reverberation presents a critical disturbance in acoustic propagation,affecting the target detection performance of monostatic sonar.This paper proposes a novel seabed reverberation model integrating Gaussian beam tracing with seabed scattering physics.The model synthesizes time-domain reverberation signals by superimposing scattering signals received across multiple propagation paths.It accurately resolves scattering signals along distinct paths and enables simulation of reverberation under diverse shallow-water environments by adjusting the marine parameters.Furthermore,we model the seabed reverberation signals in the time domain and the space domain for a cylindrical transceiver array,and provide a detailed statistical characterization of the simulated seabed reverberation signals.Finally,shallow-water seabed reverberation experiments were conducted with a cylindrical transceiver array.Comparisons between shallow-water seabed reverberation measurements and simulation estimates at various sites and transceiver depths demonstrate that the proposed seabed reverberation model can efficiently simulate shallow-water seabed reverberation.展开更多

To investigate the adverse reactions and efficacy of docetaxel combined with lobaplatin in adjuvant chemotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer in elderly patients.A total of 96 elderly triple-negative breast cance...To investigate the adverse reactions and efficacy of docetaxel combined with lobaplatin in adjuvant chemotherapy for triple-negative breast cancer in elderly patients.A total of 96 elderly triple-negative breast cancer patients admitted to our hospital from January 2008 to December 2011 were randomly divided into two groups.A group of 56 patients received docetaxel 75 mg·m^(-2),intravenous drip,d1;lobaplatin 30 mg·m^(-2),intravenous drip,d1;21 days repeat,a total of 6 cycles.A group of 40 patients received chemotherapy for 6 cycles with an anthracycline-containing(TEC)regimen.Comparison of adverse reactions and 5-year diseasefree survival in both groups.The incidence of thrombocytopenia was significantly higher in 56 patients with TL regimen than those with TCE-containing anthracyclines(P=0.005).But the incidence of cardiotoxicity was 32.5%in the TEC group.And the difference was statistically significant(P=0.008).The 5-year disease-free survival rate was 73.2%in the TL group and 67.5%in the TEC group.There was no statistical difference.Docetaxel combined with lobaplatin in the treatment of elderly triple-negative breast cancer has no significant difference in efficacy compared with traditional anthracycline-containing drugs,but it can avoid the cardiotoxicity caused by anthracyclines.It’s a new option for elderly TNBC adjuvant chemotherapy,suggesting to expand the sample content for further research.展开更多

The SIThy switch module ismade that it can be controlled by an optical signal and it can be operated at elevated electrical potential. The experiments reported in this paperused two switch modules connected in series for maximum operating voltage of 3.5 kV. Bis(sulfosuccinimidyl)suberate (BS ), an impermeable cross-linker of band 3, inhibited NO2- transport, showing that anion exchange is affected by the association state of band 3 in the intact erythrocyte membranes. At the same time, the rates of glucose transport of both exit and entry declined. The amount of monomers of band 3 was decreased after treatment of the erythrocytes with BS3, but there was no change in GluTl according to the SDS-PAGE patterns. This demonstrates that band 3 and GluTl would be linkaged together in the erythrocyte membranes for the requirement of rapid and cooperative performance of physiological functions of the membrane proteins.展开更多

To investigate the effect of heterogeneity on the global dynamics of two SIR epidemic models with general nonlinear incidence rate and infection delays, we formulate a multi- group model corresponding to the heterogen...To investigate the effect of heterogeneity on the global dynamics of two SIR epidemic models with general nonlinear incidence rate and infection delays, we formulate a multi- group model corresponding to the heterogeneity in the host population and a multi-stage model corresponding to heterogeneous stages of infection. Under biological!y motivated considerations, we establish that the global dynamics for each of the two models is determined completely by the corresponding basic reproduction number: if the basic reproduction number is less than or equal to one, then the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and the disease dies out in all groups or stages; if the basic reproduction number is larger than one, then the disease will persist in all groups or stages, and there is a unique endemic equilibrium which is globally asymptotically stable. Then we conclude that the heterogeneity does not change the global dynamics of the SIR model when the incidence rate is a general nonlinear function. Our results extend a class of previous results and can be applied to the other epidemiological models. The proofs of the main results use Lyapunov functional and graph-theoretic approach.展开更多

Lewis ...We consider a system of partial differential equations that describes the interaction of the sterile and fertile species undergoing the sterile insect release method (SIRM). Unlike in the previous work [M. A. Lewis and P. van den Driessche, Waves of extinction from sterile insect release, Math. Biosci. 5 (1992) 221 247] where the habitat is assumed to be the one-dimensional whole space ~, we consider this system in a bounded one- dimensional domain (interval). Our goal is to derive sufficient conditions for success of the SIRM. We show the existence of the fertile-free steady state and prove its stability. Using the releasing rate as the parameter, and by a saddle-node bifurcation analysis, we obtain conditions for existence of two co-persistence steady states, one stable and the other unstable. Biological implications of our mathematical results are that: (i) when the fertile population is at low level, the SIRM, even with small releasing rate, can successfully eradicate the fertile insects; (ii) when the fertile population is at a higher level, the SIRM can succeed as long as the strength of the sterile releasing is large enough, while the method may also fail if the releasing is not sufficient.展开更多

Using delay T as a parameter and applying the global Hopf bifurcation theorem, we investigate the existence of global Hopf bifurcation for the sunflower equation. Furthermore, we analyze the local Hopf bifurcation of the modified equation with nonlinear relation about stem's increase, including the occurrence, the bifurcation direction, the stability and the approximation expression of the bifurcating periodic solution using the theory of normal form and center manifold. Finally, the obtained results of these two equations are compared, which finds that the result about the period of their bifurcating periodic solutions is obviously different, while the bifurcation direction and stability are identical.展开更多
