Wheat Breeding Strategies under Climate Change based on CERES-Wheat Model

Climate change has inevitably had a negative impact on agricultural production and food security.Crop breeding improvement is an efficient option to adapt to future climate and increase grain production.To study the potential to provide valuable advice for breeding under climate change condition,the crop growth model was used as basis to investigate,the effects of the cultivar genotype parameters of the crop estimation through resource and environment synthesis-wheat(CERES-Wheat)model on yield under different climate scenarios.In this study,solar radiation had a positive effect on the yield of winter wheat,while the effects of daily temperature change conditions on yield were vague,particularly under a change in daily maximum temperature.For the seven cultivar genotype parameters in the CERES-Wheat model,the yield had an approximately linear increasing relationship with kernel number(G1)and kernel size(G2).Vernalization days(P1V)had a fluctuating effect on winter yield without an evident unidirectional tendency.The yield of winter wheat increased with an increase in photoperiodic response(P1D)when P1D values varied from 64.81 to 79.81.Phyllochron interval(PHINT)had a positive impact on the yield of winter wheat.This study presented the potential benefits of the crop growth model to provide directional suggestions for crop breeding. 展开更多

Objective:Exploring the material basis and mechanism of Kidney-invigorating and Spleenstrengthening method for treating oligospermia based on network pharmacology.Method:Select the effective elements and targets of Yishen Jianpi core drug pairs by searching the Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology Platform(TCMSP);select the disease targets of oligozoospermia by searching the human genetic information database;use R language software to select drugs and Disease common target,use Cytoscape software to build a drugdisease-target interaction network;build a common target protein interaction network(PPI)through the STRING platform;apply R language to the core drugs of Yishen Jianpi and oligospermia Enrichment analysis of GO and KEGG was performed on the common target.Result:A total of 97 effective active ingredients were obtained from Yishen Jianpi traditional Chinese medicine,and 46 possible targets for Yishen Jianpi traditional Chinese medicine to treat oligospermia were obtained.Combined with the results of KEGG enrichment analysis,it can be speculated that Yishen Jianpi traditional Chinese medicine improved male oligospermia The whole mechanism of action may be related to the regulation of human endogenous hormones.Conclusion:Through the research method of network pharmacology,the possible effect targets and pathways of Yishen Jianpi traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of male oligospermia are predicted. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the effect of ischemic stroke(is)combined with hyperlipidemia(HLP)on erectile function in rats and its mechanism.Methods:Thirty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group and HLP group.The model of is combined with HLP was established by feeding high-fat diet.The stroke model group and sham operation group were established by operation method.The contents of testosterone(T),D-Dimer(D-D)and cyclic guanosine(cGMP)were detected by ELISA.Western blot and real-time PCR were used to detect the expression of VEGF protein and mRNA,and hematoxylin and eosin(He)staining of penile tissue were observed to evaluate its erectile function.Results:Compared with group C,the levels of cGMP and T in group M decreased,while VEGF and D-D increased.He staining showed that the tissue structure of corpus cavernosum in model group was obviously damaged.Conclusion:The model of ischemic stroke combined with hyperlipidemia has certain effect on erectile function of rats,and the mechanism may be related to the expression of cGMP,VEGF related protein and mRNA. 展开更多

Insights on mitigation of chemical clogging of zero-valent iron for nitrobenzene reduction:the role of oxygenated anion modification

Clogging of zero-valent iron(ZVI)is among the most prominent technical bottlenecks limiting its application in long-term groundwater remediation.In this study,three ZVI species with different oxygenated anion modifications on the surface—micron ZVI(mZVI),oxalated mZVI(OX-mZVI),and phosphorylated mZVI(P-mZVI)—were selected to conduct a comparative study on the clogging problem during remediation of nitrobenzene-contaminated groundwater.The clogging degree(ΦC)was innovatively employed to quantify ZVI clogging,and the clogging mechanisms of influencing factors were uncovered by analyzing changes inΦC,reactivity,volume expansion,iron valence state,and iron corrosion product(FeCP)species.Results revealed that the clogging resistance of ZVI decreased in the following order:P-mZVI>OX-mZVI>mZVI.The reduction process of nitrobenzene controlled the increase ofΦC,and the reduction of NO_(3)^(−)—a groundwater background ion—served as an indicator for clogging stage changes.Surface chemistry analysis revealed that the increase ofΦC originated from the volume expansion effect of FeCPs.Iron corrosion increased the Fe(III)content,producing Fe_(3)O_(4) and FeOOH,which roughened the ZVI surfaces and formed dense agglomerates via crystal expansion,causing chemical clogging by occupying pore space.Overall,enhancing the electron selectivity and surface hydrophobicity of ZVI using surface modification methods can enhance its anti-clogging performance. 展开更多

Objective:To study the therapeutic effect of Huoxue Tongluo Decoction(HXTLD)on erectile dysfunction caused by ischemic stroke and identify the mechanisms involved.Methods:Network pharmacology was used to predict the key active ingredients and targets of HXTLD.Surgical methods were used to create a rat model of ischemic stroke.The rats were then given a suspension of HXTLD by ig administration.Erectile function was evaluated by Apomorphine(APO)induction.Real-time fluorescence quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(Real-time PCR)and Western blotting were used to detect the expression of related m RNAs and proteins in rat penile corpus cavernous tissue and brain tissue.Hematoxylin&Eosin(HE)staining was used to investigate structural changes in the penile cavernous tissue.Results:Network pharmacology showed that tumor necrosis factor(TNF),nitric oxide synthase 3(eNOS),and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)were the key targets of HXTLD in the treatment of erectile dysfunction caused by ischemic stroke.Experimental studies showed that HXTLD improved erectile dysfunction caused by ischemic stroke.HE results showed that HXTLD improved the structure of the corpus cavernosa.HXTLD also inhibited the expression of TNF and VEGF proteins in penile tissue(P<0.05)and enhanced the expression of e NOS protein in penile tissue(P<0.05).Conclusion:HXTLD improved the erectile function of rats with erectile dysfunction caused by ischemic stroke by regulating the m RNA and protein levels of TNF,e NOS and VEGF. 展开更多
