The solution methodology comprises two stages. Firstly, the CCF of the plant is developed and the most economical fuel of each set can be easily identified for any load demand. In the next stage, for the selected fuels, CCF is evaluated and the optimal scheduling is obtained. The Proposed Method (PM) has been tested on the standard ten-generation set system;each set consists of two or three fuel options. The total fuel cost obtained by the PM is compared with earlier reports in order to validate its effectiveness. The comparison clears that this approach is a promising alterna-tive for solving EDMFO problems in practical power system.展开更多

Generally the power producers must respond quickly to the changes in load and wheeling transactions. Moreover, it becomes necessary for the power producers to reschedule their power generation beyond their power limits to meet vulnerable situations like credible contingency and increase in load conditions. During this process, the ramping cost is incurred if they violate their permissible elastic limits. In this paper, optimal production costs of the power producers are computed with stepwise and piecewise linear ramp rate limits. Transient stability limits of the power producers are also considered as addi-tional rotor angle inequality constraints while solving the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) problem. The proposed algo-rithm is demonstrated on practical 10 bus and 26 bus systems and the results are compared with other optimization methods.展开更多

The problem has non convex generator characteristics, which makes it very hard to handle the corresponding mathematical models. However, Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) has reached a high efficiency, in terms of solution accuracy and computing time for such non convex problems. Hence, TLBO is applied for scheduling of generators with higher order cost characteristics, and turns out to be computationally solvable. In particular, we represent a model that takes into account the accurate higher order generator cost functions along with ramp limits, and turns to be more general and efficient than those available in the literature. The behavior of the model is analyzed through proposed technique on modified IEEE-24 bus system.展开更多

These drugs undergo hydrolytic metabolism by the enzyme liver esterase and converts into their respective active metabolites Olmesartan (OL), Ramiprilat (RPT) and Fenofibric acid (FA) for OLM, RPL and FEN respectively. In this study the competitive metabolism of OLM, in presence of RPL and FEN was investigated in rat liver s9 fractions using a validated LC-MS method. Olmesartan Medoxomil was found to be highly reactive to the rat liver S9 fractions and formation of active metabolite Olmesartan is highest. The rate of formation of active metabolite Olmesartan reduced by 12.68% in the presence Ramipril and 6.56% in presence of Fenofibrate. A marked reduction of 18.96% was found in the formation of active metabolite Olmesartan from Olmesartan Medoxomil when all the three drugs are in combination.展开更多
