Triboelectric Nanogenerators for Future Space Missions

Space exploration is significant for scientific innovation,resource utilization,and planetary security.Space exploration involves several systems including satellites,space suits,communication systems,and robotics,which have to function under harsh space conditions such as extreme temperatures(−270 to 1650℃),microgravity(10^(-6)g),unhealthy humidity(<20%RH or>60%RH),high atmospheric pressure(~1450 psi),and radiation(4000–5000 mSv).Conventional energy-harvesting technologies(solar cells,fuel cells,and nuclear energy),that are normally used to power these space systems have certain limitations(e.g.,sunlight dependence,weight,degradation,big size,high cost,low capacity,radioactivity,complexity,and low efficiency).The constraints in conventional energy resources have made it imperative to look for non-conventional yet efficient alternatives.A great potential for enhancing efficiency,sustainability,and mission duration in space exploration can be offered by integrating triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)with existing energy sources.Recently,the potential of TENG including energy harvesting(from vibrations/movements in satellites and spacecraft),self-powered sensing,and microgravity,for multiple applications in different space missions has been discussed.This review comprehensively covers the use of TENGs for various space applications,such as planetary exploration missions(Mars environment monitoring),manned space equipment,In-orbit robotic operations/collision monitoring,spacecraft’s design and structural health monitoring,Aeronautical systems,and conventional energy harvesting(solar and nuclear).This review also discusses the use of self-powered TENG sensors for deep space object perception.At the same time,this review compares TENGs with conventional energy harvesting technologies for space systems.Lastly,this review talks about energy harvesting in satellites,TENG-based satellite communication systems,and future practical implementation challenges(with possible solutions). 展开更多

Image and intracavitary electrocardiogram-guided arm port placement in colorectal cancer: A retrospective comparative study

BACKGROUND Arm-implanted totally implantable venous access devices(peripherally inserted central catheter port)have become an important vascular access for colorectal cancer chemotherapy,but traditional anatomical landmark positioning techniques have issues with inaccurate positioning and high complication rates.AIM To evaluate the clinical value of image pre-measurement combined with intracavitary electrocardiogram(IC-ECG)positioning technology in arm port implantation for colorectal cancer patients.METHODS A retrospective analysis was conducted on 216 colorectal cancer patients who received arm port implantation in our hospital from January 2024 to December 2024.Patients were divided into an experimental group(image pre-measurement combined with IC-ECG positioning technology,n=103)and a control group(traditional anatomical landmark positioning technique,n=113).Technical success rate,operation time,catheter tip position accuracy,number of intraoperative catheter adjustments,X-ray exposure time,and postoperative complication rates were compared between the two groups.RESULTS The experimental group demonstrated superior outcomes compared to the control group across all key measures.Technical success rate was higher(98.4%vs 92.7%,P<0.05)with significantly reduced operation time(23.6±5.2 minutes vs 31.5±7.8 minutes,P<0.01).Catheter tip positioning accuracy improved substantially(97.6%vs 85.4%,P=0.002)while X-ray exposure time decreased by 71.8%(5.3±2.1 seconds vs 18.7±4.5 seconds,P<0.001).Threemonth complication rates were markedly lower in the experimental group(4.1%vs 14.6%,P=0.008),including significant reductions in catheter-related thrombosis(0.8%vs 4.9%),displacement(1.6%vs 5.7%),and occlusion(1.6%vs 4.1%).Multivariate analysis identified traditional technique as the strongest risk factor(odds ratio=4.27,P<0.001),while the combined IC-ECG approach was protective(odds ratio=0.34 for displacement,P=0.018).Long-term outcomes favored the experimental group with higher chemotherapy completion rates(97.1%vs 88.5%,P=0.014)and longer catheter dwelling time(189.5±45.3 days vs 162.7±53.8 days,P<0.001).CONCLUSION Image pre-measurement combined with intracavitary electrocardiogram positioning technology in arm port implantation for colorectal cancer patients can significantly improve catheter tip positioning accuracy,reduce operation time and X-ray exposure. 展开更多

This study aimed to evaluate the satisfaction of village doctors to essential medicines list (EML) and accessibility of essential medicines (EMs) distribution to improve the implementation of EML in village clinics.A total of 422 village doctors from five counties in three provinces of China were surveyed by questionnaires.Logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the main factors associated with village doctors' evaluation of EML.The results showed that village doctors had a negative evaluation in satisfaction level of EML to village-based care and accessibility of EM distribution.The government should adjust EML regularly based on the actual health status of local villagers in China and focus on adding appropriate drugs that meet the needs of villagers with chronic disease.The local government should also attach importance to the distribution of EMs and maintain their supply in village clinics. 展开更多

Objective:The paper aims to explore the status of intensive care unit(ICU)nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being and to investigate the relationship among the three elements.Methods:A cross-sectional survey of 224 nurses from five teaching hospitals in Tianjin,China,was conducted.Self-esteem scale,job satisfaction scale,and subjective well-being scale were used to explore the status of ICU nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being.Correlation among the three elements was calculated by SPSS 17.0.Results:The scores of three scales(i.e.,ICU nurses'self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being)were 27.67±3.41,43.57±9.04,and 69.73±11.60,respectively.The subjective well-being was significantly positively correlated with self-esteem and job satisfaction(r=0.454,P<0.01;r=0.584,P<0.01,respectively).Conclusion:The study shows that the prevalence of subjective well-being and self-esteem with ICU nurses are at a low level,and job satisfaction is at the median level.Associations among self-esteem,job satisfaction,and subjective well-being in ICUs have been confirmed.Self-esteem and job satisfaction positively correlated with nurse subjective well-being.The higher the self-esteem and job satisfaction levels are,the stronger the subjective well-being is.The working pressure in ICUs cannot be alleviated temporarily;hence,to promote a high subjective well-being,managers and ICU nurses increase their self-esteem and job satisfaction through taking strategies that strengthen psychological construction. 展开更多

本研究旨在研究染料木黄酮(Genistein,Gen)对大鼠体内N-羟乙酰神经氨酸(N-glycolylneuraminic acid,Neu5Gc)生物合成的影响。选取80只4周龄SD雄性大鼠,随机平均分为对照组和Gen组,分别灌胃5%的乙醇溶液和300 mg/(kg·d)的Gen溶液。... 本研究旨在研究染料木黄酮(Genistein,Gen)对大鼠体内N-羟乙酰神经氨酸(N-glycolylneuraminic acid,Neu5Gc)生物合成的影响。选取80只4周龄SD雄性大鼠,随机平均分为对照组和Gen组,分别灌胃5%的乙醇溶液和300 mg/(kg·d)的Gen溶液。利用荧光高效液相色谱(HPLC-FLD)检测大鼠后腿肌肉、肾脏、肝脏组织中Neu5Gc的含量,并采用Gen与唾液酸转移酶(Sialyltransferase,ST)分子对接,初步探讨了其抑制Neu5Gc合成的机理。结果表明:灌胃15 d时,后腿肌肉和肝脏组织中的Neu5Gc的含量分别降低了13.77%和15.45%,而肾脏组织中Neu5Gc的含量变化差异不显著;30 d时,在肌肉组织中未检出Neu5Gc,在肝脏组织中的Neu5Gc的含量降低了13.35%,肾脏组织中Neu5Gc的含量没有显著的变化;45 d时,在后腿肌肉、肾脏组织和肝脏组织中的Neu5Gc含量分别降低了32.65%、16.80%和32.78%;60d时,在后腿肌肉、肾脏组织和肝脏组织中Neu5Gc含量降低了12.72%、12.30%和11.42%。Gen与ST活性位点残基His319、Ser151、Gly293、Thr328形成氢键,且与残基His302、His301、Trp300、Ser271、Phe292、Thr328、Ser325、Ile274形成疏水作用。因此分子间弱相互作用是导致Gen抑制ST活性的主要原因。该研究结果为后续开展宰前降低红肉中Neu5Gc的方法提供了基础实验方法支撑。 展开更多

In this study,the dynamics of the tendon/top tension riser(TTR)system of a tension-leg platform(TLP)are investigated through an experiment and by using absolute nodal coordinate formulation(ANCF).First,the model test of the TLP system is conducted in the water tank of Harbin Engineering University to examine the motion response of the TLP and the dynamic response characteristics of the tendon and TTR.The test scale ratio is set to 1:66.3.Then,on the basis of the ANCF,the stiffness,external load,and mass matrices of the element are deduced to establish the motion equation of the tendon/riser.Finally,the static and dynamic characteristics of the tendon/TTR system of TLP are analyzed systematically by using the ANCF method.The results are compared with commercial software and test results.The motion response of tendon/TTR is affected by the TLP movement and environmental load simultaneously.The analysis proves the effectiveness and accuracy of the ANCF method despite the low number of riser units,suggesting the superiority of the ANCF method for calculating the dynamics of tendon/riser in the field of ocean engineering. 展开更多

Effect of electrical stimulation on red meat Neu5Gc content reduction: a combined experimental and DFT study 被引量:1

The hazardous substance Neu5Gc(N-glycolylneuraminic acid), which is rich in red meat, is related to chronic inflammation but is hard to eliminate. Here, electrical stimulation, as a food-friendly nonthermal processing technology, was applied to red meat samples to reduce the Neu5Gc content. To explore the Neu5Gc structure changes during this process, electronic structure parameters were evaluated, and AIM( atom in molecules) theory and DFT(density function theory) calculations were further used. The results showed that the content of Nue5Gc in red meat can be reduced by(74.24 ± 0.69)% at 120 V for 50 s, with little impact on the meat texture and color. Theoretical calculations indicated that the Neu5Gc molecule becomes very unstable under electrical stimulation by increasing the O-H bond length, reactive activity, strength of intermolecular dipole forces and total energy through reducing the values of bond dissociation energy and strength of intramolecular hydrogen bonds. Overall, this research provides an economical method to effectively control red meat safety. 展开更多

BACKGROUND: Glioma is the most common intracranial tumor and has a poor patient prognosis. The presence of brain tumor stem cells was gradually being understood and recognized, which might be beneficial for the treatment of glioma. OBJECTIVE: To use bibliometric indexes to track study focuses on glioma stem cell, and to investigate the relationships among geographic origin, impact factors, and highly cited articles indexed in Web of Science. METHODS: A list of citation classics for glioma stem cells was generated by searching the database of Web of Science-Expanded using the terms "glioma stem cell" or "glioma, stem cell'" or "brain tumor stem cell". The top 63 cited research articles which were cited more than 100 times were retrieved by reading the abstract or full text if needed. Each eligible article was reviewed for basic information on subject categories, country of origin, journals, authors, and source of journals. Inclusive criteria: (1) articles in the field of glioma stem cells which was cited more than 100 times; (2) fundamental research on humans or animals, clinical trials and case reports; (3) research article; (4) year of publication: 1899-2012; and (5) citation database: Science Citation Index-Expanded. Exclusive criteria: (1) articles needing to be manually searched or accessed only by telephone; (2) unpublished articles; and (3) reviews, conference proceedings, as well as corrected papers. RESULTS: Of 2 040 articles published, the 63 top-cited articles were published between 1992 and 2010. The number of citations ranged from 100 to 1 754, with a mean of 280 citations per article. These citation classics came from nineteen countries, of which 46 articles came from the United States. Duke University and University of California, San Francisco led the list of classics with seven papers each. The 63 top-cited articles were published in 28 journals, predominantly Cancer Research and Cancer Cell, followed by Cell Stem Cell and Nature. CONCLUSION: Our bibliometric analysis provides a historical perspective on the progress of glioma stem cell research. Articles originating from outstanding institutions of the United States and published in high-impact journals are most likely to be cited. 展开更多

Methods: This study consists of two phases of testing:(1) translation: forward translation, synthesis, back translation, expert committee review, and pretesting;(2) psychometric properties: content and construct validity, internal consistency, and test–retest reliability. Results: The Chinese version of MAVAS and the original version showed excellent similarities and equivalence. The average Scalelevel Content Validity Index was 0.904, and the Item-level Content Validity Index ranged from 0.80 to 1.00. The construct validity was tested using confirmatory factor analysis by LISREL 8.7;χ2/df of the scale was 4.781<5, NFI, NNFI, CFI, IFI>0.90, indicating that the scale’s factor structure model fitted better. The internal consistency was satisfactory (scale, Cronbach’s α=0.94;subscales, Cronbach’s α=0.74–0.90), and the test–retest reliability over 2 weeks was good (scale, Pearson’s coefficient=0.996;subscales, Pearson’s coefficient=0.801–0.963). Conclusions: The Chinese version of MAVAS had an excellent feasibility. It was found to be a valid and reliable tool to assess nurses’ attitude toward patients’ violence in emergency department. 展开更多

Methods: Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells were cultured and divided into control group, 25 ng/mL NT-3 group, 50 ng/mL NT-3 group and 100 ng/mL NT-3 group, they were treated with different doses of NT-3 for 24 h, and then osteoblast marker gene, cell proliferation gene and apoptosis gene expression were determined.Results: RUNX2, Osterix, ALP, OCN, BMP-2, Bcl-2, Nrf2, ERK1/2 and PCNA mRNA expression in 25 ng/mL NT-3 group, 50 ng/mL NT-3 group and 100 ng/mL NT-3 group were significantly higher than those in control group whereas Bim, Bax, Caspase-3, CHOP and Beclin1 mRNA expression were significantly lower than those in control group, and the larger the dose of NT-3, the higher the RUNX2, Osterix, ALP, OCN, BMP-2, Bcl-2, Nrf2, ERK1/2 and PCNA mRNA expression whereas the lower the Bim, Bax, Caspase-3, CHOP and Beclin1 mRNA expression.Conclusion: NT-3 intervention in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells can promote osteoblast differentiation and cell proliferation and inhibit apoptosis. 展开更多

Water has been detected in lunar regolith,with multiple sources identified through the analysis of individual grains.However,the primary origin of water in the bulk lunar regolith remains uncertain.This study presents spectroscopic analyses of water content in sealed Chang’e-5 samples.These samples were sieved into various size fractions(bulk,<45μm,and 45–355μm)inside a glovebox filled with high-purity nitrogen.Results indicate a higher water content in the fine fractions(~87±11.9 ppm)than in bulk soil(~37±4.8 ppm)and coarse fractions(~11±1.5 ppm).This suggests that water is predominantly concentrated in the outermost rims of the regolith grains,and thus exhibits dependence on the surface volume ratio(also known as surface correlation),indicating solar wind is a primary source of lunar surface water.Laboratory,in-situ,and orbital results bridge sample analysis and remote sensing,offering a cohesive understanding of lunar surface water characteristics as represented by Chang’e-5.The discovery provides statistical evidence for the origin of water in lunar soil and can be considered representative of the lunar surface conditions.The water enrichment of the finest fraction suggests the feasibility of employing size sorting of lunar soils as a potential technological approach for water resource extraction in future lunar research stations. 展开更多

The run-time security guarantee is a hotspot in current cyberspace security research, especially on embedded terminals, such as smart hardware as well as wearable and mobile devices. Typically, these devices use universal hardware and software to connect with public networks via the Internet, and are probably open to security threats from Trojan viruses and other malware. As a result, the security of sensitive personal data is threatened and economic interests in the industry are compromised. To address the run-time security problems efficiently, first, a TrustEnclave-based secure architecture is proposed, and the trusted execution environment is constructed by hardware isolation technology. Then the prototype system is implemented on real TrustZone-enabled hardware devices. Finally, both analytical and experimental evaluations are provided. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed security scheme. 展开更多

To obtain protease-and lipase-producing halotolerant/halophilic strains suitable for shrimp paste(SP)fermentation,the microbial community structure and enzyme-producing microbial species were analyzed and predicted using metagenomics in 3 high-salt samples.Based on the linear salt gradient method,128 strains were screened.Eight halotolerant/halophilic strains highly producing 2 types of enzymes were identified and inoculated into lowsalt SP to assess the heterogeneity of SP.Physicochemical properties of SP indicated that Bacillus subtilis XJ-11,Virgibacillus halodenitrificans XJ-229,Piscibacillus halophilus XY-193,and Bacillus vallismortis HT-73 were more suitable for rapid fermentation of SP.Nutritional analysis showed that SP inoculated with V.halodenitrificans XJ-229 had the highest free amino acid content and SP inoculated with P.halophilus XY-193 had the highest unsaturated fatty acid content.The former had prominent umami,sweetness,and meaty aroma,weak bitterness and fishy flavor,and the closest flavor to the control(CP)based on sensory evaluation and E-nose analysis.A total of 61 volatile compounds were detected in all samples by SPME-GC-MS,of which 32,23,40,24,and 28 were detected in the CP and SP inoculated with B.subtilis XJ-11,V.halodenitrificans XJ-229,P.halophilus XY-193,and B.vallismortis HT-73,respectively,with 12,11,12,9,and 9 key flavor compounds.Among several samples,the highest levels of pyrazines,aldehydes,alcohols,and ketones were found in SP inoculated with B.subtilis XJ-11,V.halodenitrificans XJ-229,P.halophilus XY-193,and B.vallismortis HT-73,respectively.These results suggested that inoculation of different enzyme-producing halotolerant/halophilic strains resulted in differences in SP quality and main flavors.This study provides some references for process control and interpretation of heterogeneous mechanisms in low-salt SP fermented by inoculated strains. 展开更多

Electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)in acidic media is a promising approach to overcome the unavoidable formation of carbonates in alkaline or neutral electrolytes.However,the proton-rich environment near the catalyst surface favors hydrogen evolution reactions(HER),leading to lower energy efficiency of the desired products,especially in industrial-level current densities.Here,quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant(cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB))was introduced into acidic electrolyte to modulate the interfacial microenvironment,which greatly enhanced CO_(2)electroreduction to formic acid(HCOOH)at the Bi/C nanoparticles electrode.Using a Bi/C nanoparticles electrode with CTAB added,constant production of formic acid was enabled with a cathodic energy efficiency of>40%and maximum FE_(HCOOH)(FE=Faradaic efficiency)of 86.2%at−400 mA·cm^(−2)over 24 h.Combined with in-situ attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,the concentration of*OCHO intermediates significantly increased after CTAB modification,confirming that the hydrophobic interface microenvironment formed by dynamic adsorption of positively charged long alkyl chains on Bi/C nanoparticle electrodes inhibited HER and improved the selectivity of CO_(2)RR to HCOOH. 展开更多
