Brassica napus(oilseed rape)is sensitive to boron(B)deficiency and exhibits young leaf curling in response to low-B stress at the seedling stage,which leads to reduced photosynthesis and plant growth.So far,no gene ha...Brassica napus(oilseed rape)is sensitive to boron(B)deficiency and exhibits young leaf curling in response to low-B stress at the seedling stage,which leads to reduced photosynthesis and plant growth.So far,no gene has been identified to be involved in B deficiency induced leaf curling.Our previous results showed the transcription factor BnaA1.WRKY53 might be involved in B-deficiency tolerance.However,altered BnaA1.WRKY53 expression does not influence B concentration in shoot,root and leaf cell walls,which suggests Bna A1.WRKY53 might be involved in other biological processes.Indeed,phenotypic and anatomical analyses revealed that BnaA1.WRKY53 negatively regulated the leaf curling induced by leaf epinasty by suppressing the overexpansion of palisade cells under B deficiency.Further transcriptome enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between wild-type and BnaA1.WRKY53overexpression line showed auxin response pathway was enriched.In addition,Arabidopsis DR5::GFP auxin reporter line showed B deficiency caused predominant auxin signal accumulation in the adaxial side and concomitant adaxial cell expansion,which indicated that B deficiency may induce leaf curling by altering auxin distribution.Phytohormone quantification and gene expression analysis demonstrated that BnaA1.WRKY53 prevent auxin overaccumulation in leaves by suppressing auxin biosynthetic genes under B deficiency.Furthermore,exogenous 1-naphthlcetic acid(NAA)treatment experiments revealed that high auxin could induce leaf curling and BnaA1.WRKY53 expression.Overall,these findings demonstrate that auxin and the transcription factor BnaA1.WRKY53 synergistically regulate leaf curling to maintain an optimal leaf area under B deficiency,and provide novel insights into the resistance mechanisms against B-deficiency-induced leaf curling in oilseed rape.展开更多
AIM:To investigate the ultrasonographic features of ciliary body mesectodermal leiomyomas(CBL).METHODS:Ultrasonographic data of 18 eyes from 18 patients with histopathologically confirmed CBL were analyzed,covering th...AIM:To investigate the ultrasonographic features of ciliary body mesectodermal leiomyomas(CBL).METHODS:Ultrasonographic data of 18 eyes from 18 patients with histopathologically confirmed CBL were analyzed,covering the period from March 2018 to February 2024.The study included 5 male and 13 female patients,aged 14-64y,with a mean age of 40.11±13.54y.The following ultrasonographic features were evaluated:tumor base diameter,thickness,maximum base diameterto-thickness ratio,shape,internal echogenicity,margin echogenicity,internal echo homogeneity,secondary changes,color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI)findings,and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)characteristics.RESULTS:Conventional ultrasound findings of the 18 CBL cases were as follows:1)Tumor size:base diameter of(13.48±4.74)×(11.57±4.00)mm^(2),thickness of 7.70±2.60 mm,and maximum base diameter-to-thickness ratio of 1.77±0.36.2)Shape:14 cases(77.8%)were hemispherical,and 4 cases(22.2%)were irregular.3)Internal echogenicity:the solid component of the tumor was hypoechoic in 16 cases(88.9%)and low-to-medium echogenic in 2 cases(11.1%).4)Margin echogenicity:relatively hyperechoic with a“ring-shaped”margin in 15 cases(83.3%)and isoechoic in 3 cases(16.7%;compared with internal echogenicity).5)Internal echo homogeneity:homogeneous in 11 cases(61.1%)and heterogeneous in 7 cases(38.9%),with 6 cases(33.3%)among the 7 heterogeneous cases exhibiting cystic anechoic areas.6)Secondary retinal detachment was observed in 4 cases(22.2%).CDFI revealed heterogeneous vascularity within the tumors,with blood flow signals ranging from minimal to marked.CEUS was performed in 14 patients:complete contrast agent perfusion was observed in 10 cases(71.4%),and partial perfusion was noted in 4 cases(28.6%).Additionally,8 cases(57.1%)showed a rapid wash-in and slow wash-out pattern,while 6 cases(42.9%)demonstrated a rapid wash-in and rapid wash-out pattern.CONCLUSION:CBL exhibit relatively typical ultrasonographic features,which can provide valuable evidence for the clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of intraocular tumors.展开更多
Ti-coated SiCp particles were developed by vacuum evaporation with Ti to improve the interfacial bonding of SiCp/Al composites.Ti-coated SiC particles and uncoated SiC particles reinforced Al 2519 matrix composites we...Ti-coated SiCp particles were developed by vacuum evaporation with Ti to improve the interfacial bonding of SiCp/Al composites.Ti-coated SiC particles and uncoated SiC particles reinforced Al 2519 matrix composites were prepared by hot pressing,hot extrusion and heat treatment.The influence of Ti coating on microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The results show that the densely deposited Ti coating reacts with SiC particles to form TiC and Ti5Si3 phases at the interface.Ti-coated SiC particle reinforced composite exhibits uniformity and compactness compared to the composite reinforced with uncoated SiC particles.The microstructure,relative density and mechanical properties of the composite are significantly improved.When the volume fraction is 15%,the hardness,fracture strain and tensile strength of the SiCp reinforced Al 2519 composite after Ti plating are optimized,which are HB 138.5,4.02%and 455 MPa,respectively.展开更多

The present study intraperitoneally injected extracts from rabbit skin inflamed by the vaccinia virus for 3 and 4 days prior to and following intrathecal injection of bupivacaine into pregnant rats. The pain threshold test after bupivacaine injection showed that the maximum possible effect of tail-flick latency peaked 1 day after intrathecal injection of bupivacaine in the extract-pretreatment group, and gradually decreased, while the maximum possible effect in the bupivacaine group continued to increase after intrathecal injection of bupivacaine. Histological observation showed that after 4 days of intrathecal injection of bupivacaine, the number of shrunken, vacuolated, apoptotic and caspase-9-positive cells in the dorsal root ganglion in the extract-pretreatment group was significantly reduced compared with the bupivacaine group. These findings indicate that extracts from rabbit skin inflamed by the vaccinia virus can attenuate neurotoxicity induced by intrathecal injection of bupivacaine in pregnant rats, possibly by inhibiting caspase-9 protein expression and suppressing nerve cell apoptosis.展开更多
Objective:To explore the association between cholecystectomy and the prognostic outcomes of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(H CC)who underwent microwave ablation(MWA).Methods:Patients with HCC(«=921)who un...Objective:To explore the association between cholecystectomy and the prognostic outcomes of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(H CC)who underwent microwave ablation(MWA).Methods:Patients with HCC(«=921)who underwent MWA were included and divided into cholecystectomy(n=114)and non-cholecystectomy groups(n=807).After propensity score matching(PSM)at a 1:2 ratio,overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)rates were analyzed to compare prognostic outcomes between the cholecystectomy(«=114)and non-cholecystectomy groups(n=228).Univariate and multivariate Cox analyses were performed to assess potential risk factors for OS and DFS.Major complications were also compared between the groups.Results:After matching,no significant differences between groups were observed in baseline characteristics.The 1-,3-,and 5-year OS rates were 96.5%,82.1%,and 67.1%in the cholecystectomy group,and 97.4%,85.2%,and 74.4%in the non-cholecystectomy group(P=0.396);the 1-,3-,and 5-year DFS rates were 58.4%,34.5%,and 26.6%in the cholecystectomy group,and 73.6%,44.7%,and 32.2%in the non-cholecystectomy group(P=0.026),respectively.The intrahepatic distant recurrence rate in the cholecystectomy group was significantly higher than that in the non-cholecystectomy group(P=0.026),and the local tumor recurrence and extrahepatic recurrence rates did not significantly differ between the groups(P=0.609 and P=0.879).Multivariate analysis revealed that cholecystectomy(HR=1.364,95%Cl 1.023-1.819,P=0.035),number of tumors(2 vs.1:HR=2.744,95%Cl 1.925-3.912,P<0.001;3 vs.1:HR=3.411,95%Cl 2.021-5.759,P<0.001),and y-GT levels(HR=1.003,95%Cl 1.000-1.006,P<0.024)were independent risk factors for DFS.The best y-GT level cut-off value for predicting median DFS was 39.6 U/L(area under the curve=0.600,P<0.05).A positive correlation was observed between cholecystectomy and y-GT level(r=0.108,95%Cl-0.001-0.214,P=0.047).Subgroup analysis showed that the DFS rates were significantly higher in the non-cholecystectomy group than the cholecystectomy group when Y-GT>39.6 U/L(i3=0.044).The 5-,10-,15-,20-,and 25-year recurrence rates from the time of cholecystectomy were 2.63%,21.93%,42.11%,58.77%,and 65.79%,respectively.A significant positive correlation was observed between cholecystectomy and the time from cholecystectomy to recurrence(r=0.205,95%Cl 0.016-0.379,P=0.029).There were no significant differences in complications between groups(P=0.685).Conclusions:Patients with HCC who underwent cholecystectomy were more likely to develop intrahepatic distant recurrence after MWA,an outcome probably associated with increased y-GT levels.Moreover,the recurrence rates increased with time.展开更多
Purpose:Microwave ablation(MWA)is difficult to perform in colorectal liver metastases(CRLMs)adjacent to the cardiophrenic angle.Therefore,a modified approach involving antenna array placement parallel to the diaphragm...Purpose:Microwave ablation(MWA)is difficult to perform in colorectal liver metastases(CRLMs)adjacent to the cardiophrenic angle.Therefore,a modified approach involving antenna array placement parallel to the diaphragm was initially attempted.Its safety and efficacy were compared with those involving non-parallel placement.Methods:Sixty-three patients with CRLMs adjacent to the cardiophrenic angle(lesions within 10 mm of the diaphragm)who underwent MWA were included in the study.All patients were further classified into parallel and non-parallel groups according to the method of antenna placement.The distance between the lesion and diaphragmatic surface before MWA,complications,and local tumor progression(LTP)at the last imaging follow-up were recorded.LTPs in the two groups were compared using the log-rank test.Prognostic factors for LTP were assessed using the Cox proportional hazards regression model.Results:Thirty and 33 lesions were ablated using parallel and non-parallel antenna placement,respectively.During the mean follow-up duration of 19.7±8.2 months,the LTP rate in the parallel and non-parallel placement groups were 3.3%(1/30)and 24.2%(8/33),respectively.The log-rank test showed that parallel antenna placement was associated with delayed LTP(p=0.018).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that parallel antenna placement was an independent predictor of delayed LTP after adjusting for possible risk factors,including age,sex,tumor size,and KRAS mutation(hazard ratio,0.1;95%confidence interval,0.00,0.80;p=0.034).Conclusion:The placement of the antenna parallel to the diaphragm is an alternative and effective method for MWA of CRLMs near the cardiophrenic angle and can contribute to the reduction of the LTP rate.展开更多

AIM:To analyze the differences,agreements,and correlation among total corneal power parameters generated by different instruments after myopic keratorefractive surgery.METHODS:The prospective cross-sectional study inc...AIM:To analyze the differences,agreements,and correlation among total corneal power parameters generated by different instruments after myopic keratorefractive surgery.METHODS:The prospective cross-sectional study included patients who underwent myopic keratorefractive surgery and received measurements of corneal power 3mo after surgery.Automated keratometer was used for the measurement of simulated keratometry(Sim K),sweptsource optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)based biometer for total keratometry(TK),anterior segment-OCT for real keratometry(RK),and Scheimpflug keratometer for the true net power(TNP),the total corneal refractive power(TCRP)and equivalent K-readings(EKR).The differences among these parameters were analyzed,and the agreements and correlation between Sim K and other total corneal power parameters were investigated.RESULTS:A total of 70 eyes of 70 patients after myopic keratorefractive surgery were included.The evaluated corneal power parameters were as follows:Sim K 38.32±1.93 D,TK 37.54±2.12 D,RK 36.64±2.09 D,TNP 36.56±1.97 D,TCRP 36.70±2.01 D,and EKR 37.55±2.00 D.Pairwise comparison showed that there were significant differences(P<0.001)among all parameters except for between TK and EKR,RK and TNP,RK and TCRP(P=1.000,1.000,1.000,respectively).The limits of agreement between Sim K and TK,RK,TNP,TCPR,and EKR were 1.08,1.08,1.43,1.48,and 1.73 D,respectively.All parameters showed good correlation with Sim K,and the correlation coefficients were 0.995,0.994,0.983,0.982,and 0.975.CONCLUSION:Among the corneal power parameters after myopic keratorefractive surgery,the value of Sim K is the largest,followed by TK and EKR,with TCRP,RK,and TNP being the smallest.The differences among the parameters may be attributable to the different calculation principles.Correct understanding and evaluation of corneal power parameters can provide a theoretical basis for taking advantage of the total corneal power to improve the accuracy of intraocular lens calculation after keratorefractive surgery.展开更多

For zinc sulfate leaching solution cobalt purification, most of the factories are using zinc powder replacement purification method, the output of the purification of zinc slag in the vast majority of zinc with small part of cadmium and a small amount of nickel, cobalt, copper, manganese and so on. Large granular lymphocytic leukemia(LGLL)is characterized by the clonal proliferation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes or NK cells.Standard first-line immunosuppressive treatments have limitations,achieving complete remissi...Large granular lymphocytic leukemia(LGLL)is characterized by the clonal proliferation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes or NK cells.Standard first-line immunosuppressive treatments have limitations,achieving complete remission(CR)rates of up to 50%.Immune system dysregulation is implicated in LGLL.Promising results for thalidomide,an immunomodulatory drug,combined with prednisone and methotrexate(TPM),were observed in our pilot study.This multicenter study evaluated the effcacy and safety of a thalidomide,prednisone,and methotrexate(TPM)regimen in 52 symptomatic,methotrexate-and thalidomide-naive LGLL patients from June 2020 to August 2022.Thalidomide(100 mg daily for up to 24 months),prednisone(0.5-1.0 mg/kg every other day,tapered after 3 months),and methotrexate(10 mg/m^(2) weekly for up to 12 months)were administered.The primary objective was to determine the CR rate.The median follow-up duration was 29.0 months(range:4.0-42.0).Forty-seven patients(90.4%)achieved hematological and symptomatic responses.Thirty-nine patients(75.0%)achieved CR.The median time to response was 3.0 months(range:3.0-9.0).The median progression-free survival was 40.0 months(95%confidence interval(Cl):38.0-42.0),and the median duration of response was 39.0 months(95%Cl:36.1-41.9).The most common adverse event was peripheral neuropathy(24.1%),most of which(84.6%)were grades 1-2.Four patients experienced grade≥3 adverse events.In conclusion,the TPM regimen was an effective and safe treatment for symptomatic LGLL patients,with a particularly high CR rate.This trial was registered at www.clinicaltrials.gov(#NCT04453345).展开更多
Pectin andε-polylysine(ε-PL)nanoparticles loaded with Litsea cubeba essential oil(LEO)(PP-LNPs)were pre-pared through the electrostatic interaction.Metal phenol network(MPN)coatings,designated as MPN@PP-LNPs,were fa...Pectin andε-polylysine(ε-PL)nanoparticles loaded with Litsea cubeba essential oil(LEO)(PP-LNPs)were pre-pared through the electrostatic interaction.Metal phenol network(MPN)coatings,designated as MPN@PP-LNPs,were fabricated on the surface of the nanoparticles via self-assembly process of tannic acid(TA)and FeIII to develop food preservative materials with pH-responsive controlled release.The morphology,encapsulation ef-ficiency,and pH-responsive release characteristics of MPN@PP-LNPs were investigated.The results showed that the particle size of MPN@PP-LNPs was 432.5±58.6 nm.Furthermore,the encapsulation efficiencies ofε-PL and LEO were 83.26±2.21%and 30.78±3.92%,respectively.TA was rapidly released at low pH,while LEO exhibited controlled release over a wide pH range(pH 1.2-9.0).In addition,the MPN coating has been demonstrated to enhance antioxidant activity and inhibit the growth of E.coli and S.aureus under acidic con-ditions.Furthermore,preliminary evidence suggests that MPN@PP-LNPs are not cytotoxic.In conclusion,MPN@PP-LNPs,prepared through the self-assembled surface modification of TA and Fe^(II)I,was an effective material for food preservation.展开更多
Flos sophorae has the potential to alleviate hyperuricemia.To improve its anti-hyperuricemia activity,Flos sophorae was fermented with 90 probiotics from different sources,respectively.A comprehensive investigation wa...Flos sophorae has the potential to alleviate hyperuricemia.To improve its anti-hyperuricemia activity,Flos sophorae was fermented with 90 probiotics from different sources,respectively.A comprehensive investigation was conducted to ascertain the impact of fermentation on the anti-hyperuricemia activity,major constituents,volatile components,and antioxidant activity of Flos sophorae.The 7 strains,selected based on xanthine oxidase(XO)activity and HK-2 cell model analysis,significantly enhanced the XO inhibition of Flos sophorae,reduced uric acid production,downregulated mRNA expression of ADA and GLUT9,and upregulated that of ABCG2.Additionally,the 7 strains significantly elevated the total flavonoid content of Flos sophorae.The antioxidant capacity of Flos sophorae was augmented following fermentation.Notably,fermentation enriched the volatile profile of Flos sophorae,with a decrease in aldehydes and an increase in phenolics,alcohols,and esters compounds.The results suggest that probiotic-fermented Flos sophorae is an effective strategy to improve its healthpromoting potential.展开更多
Phosvitin(PV)is a highly phosphorylated protein found in egg yolk.PV hydrolysate(PPP)has excellent calciumbinding capacity,although its ability to promote calcium deposition and the underlying mechanism are unclear.Th...Phosvitin(PV)is a highly phosphorylated protein found in egg yolk.PV hydrolysate(PPP)has excellent calciumbinding capacity,although its ability to promote calcium deposition and the underlying mechanism are unclear.This study aimed to explore the calcium deposition capacity and mechanisms of PPP and PPP-Ca.The fraction 3(PPP3)was isolated by anion-exchange chromatography and exhibited the best calcium-binding activity(98.11±0.91%).To mimic the microenvironment of bone formation,a three-cell co-culture model of intestinal epithelial cells-osteoblasts-osteoclasts(Caco-2/MC3T3-E1/RAW264.7)was established.The alkaline phosphatase results indicated that PPP3 and PPP3-Ca significantly promoted osteoblasts differentiation compared to CaCl_(2).Correspondingly,PPP3,PPP3-Ca,and CaCl_(2) reduced tartrate resistant acid phosphatase content by 43.84%,46.92% and 17.21%,respectively,suggesting that PPP3 and PPP3-Ca effectively inhibited osteoclasts differentiation.The molecular mechanism by which PPP3 and PPP3-Ca inhibited osteoclasts bone resorption involved regulating mRNA expression of the OPG/RANKL/RANK pathway.Notably,PPP3-Ca demonstrated higher pro-calcium deposition in co-cultured cells,about 1.70 times higher than CaCl_(2).PPP3-Ca dependent high phosphorylation exerted a pro-mineralization effect,as analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy.Overall,this study suggested that PPP3-Ca as organic calcium was more effective than CaCl_(2) in promoting calcium deposition.展开更多
Lactic acid bacteria(LAB)are noted for their effectiveness as an adjunctive treatment in managing disorders related to glucose metabolism.Type 2 diabetes mellitus,a significant contributor to numerous chronic health i...Lactic acid bacteria(LAB)are noted for their effectiveness as an adjunctive treatment in managing disorders related to glucose metabolism.Type 2 diabetes mellitus,a significant contributor to numerous chronic health issues,is tightly linked to insulin resistance(IR).This study aimed to screen LAB strains with hypoglycemic ability,assess their probiotic characteristics,and research their in vitro hypoglycemic mechanism based on IR model in HepG2 cells(IR-HepG2).Out of 73 LAB strains derived from traditional Chinese fermented food,Lactiplantibacillus plantarum B19 was chosen due to its superior probiotic attributes,safety profile,and anα-glucosidase inhibition rate surpassing 60%.The cell-free supernatant of B19(B19-CFS)was subjected to further in vitro analysis in IR-HepG2 cells.In comparison to the model group,the high concentration of B19-CFS(0.5 mg/mL)treatment group increased glucose consumption and glycogen content by 184.41%and 44.10%,respectively.Meanwhile,the content of glutathione increased by 102.34%,while that of malondialdehyde decreased by 42.86%.For the activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase,they increased by 33.95%and 43.04%respectively,while the activity of glutathione reductase decreased by 46.67%.These effects were comparable to those observed with 1 mM metformin.Further examination through RT-qPCR revealed B19-CFS treatment could regulate the mRNA expression related to AMPK/PI3K/AKT pathway.The results indicated that B19-CFS mitigated hepatic IR by activating the AMPK/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway,promoting glycolysis while suppressing glycogen synthesis and oxidative stress.In conclusion,L.plantarum B19 is a potential therapeutic probiotic for lowering glucose.展开更多
Deoiled egg yolk powder(DOEP),rich in proteins and phospholipids,is underexploited due to its poor solubility.Therefore,this study employed enzymatic modification to enhance bioactivity,evaluated the in vitro hypolipi...Deoiled egg yolk powder(DOEP),rich in proteins and phospholipids,is underexploited due to its poor solubility.Therefore,this study employed enzymatic modification to enhance bioactivity,evaluated the in vitro hypolipidemic activity of DOEP hydrolysate(DOEPH),and elucidated the inhibitory mechanism of DOEPH on pancreatic lipase(PL).The results showed that DOEPH obtained under hydrolysis conditions(10 U/mg Trypsin for 4 h)exhibited a PL inhibition rate of 73.16±4.81%at a concentration of 10 mg/mL by a reversible mixed-type inhibition.Spectroscopic analysis further demonstrated that DOEPH reduced the intrinsic fluorescence of PL by 72.31%at 37℃,indicating that hydrophobic interactions drive conformational changes in PL,thereby decreasing its enzymatic activity.Two key components were screened via LC-MS/MS and molecular docking:Peptides(RIANQIR:7.9 kcal/mol)and phosphatidylcholine(PC).RIANQIR bonded to a non-active site of PL,whereas PC interacted with the substrate active site(Arg-257),resulting in a dual synergistic inhibitory effect,which was consistent with the enzyme kinetics findings.Additionally,RIANQIR and PC(2 mg/mL)achieved PL inhibition rate of 50.00±1.29%and 47.84±4.33%,respectively,demonstrating their high hypolipidemic potential.This study offers a strategic approach for the high-value development and diversified industrial application of DOEP,while also proposing a novel dietary intervention for obesity management.展开更多
Cinnamaldehyde exhibits potent antibacterial activity,yet its mechanism against Bacillus cereus and its stability in use remain understudied.Herein,this study aimed to investigate the antibacterial mechanism of cinnam...Cinnamaldehyde exhibits potent antibacterial activity,yet its mechanism against Bacillus cereus and its stability in use remain understudied.Herein,this study aimed to investigate the antibacterial mechanism of cinnamaldehyde against B.cereus and to prepare cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsions by ultrasonic emulsification to improve its stability.Cinnamaldehyde exhibited significant antibacterial effects on B.cereus by destroying the integrity of the cell wall and membrane,interfering with normal metabolic activities,inhibiting swarming motility,destroying the structure of the biofilm,and inhibiting enterotoxin production.Furthermore,the nanoemulsion had the smallest mean particle size and PDI at 6%sodium caseinate(SC)and 1%medium chain triglyceride(MCT).FTIR results showed that cinnamaldehyde was successfully encapsulated in the nanoemulsion.Cinnamaldehyde in nanoemulsions exhibited a slow and sustained release behavior.The antibacterial and storage stability tests showed that after emulsification,the minimum inhibition concentration(MIC)and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)against B.cereus were 0.82 times higher than those of free cinnamaldehyde,and its particle size remained at under 200 nm after storage at 4℃and 25℃for 15 days.Finally,cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsions demonstrated excellent antibacterial potential in whole,low-fat,and skim milk,underscoring cinnamaldehyde’s viability as a natural preservative in food systems.This investigation might provide a novel strategy for the practical utilization of cinnamaldehyde in the preservation of foodstuffs.展开更多
The market value of strawberries is considerably impacted by quality deterioration and senescence during postharvest storage.In the study,the effect of isoreticular metal-organic skeleton(IRMOF-3)nanoparticles loaded ...The market value of strawberries is considerably impacted by quality deterioration and senescence during postharvest storage.In the study,the effect of isoreticular metal-organic skeleton(IRMOF-3)nanoparticles loaded with eugenol/chitosan-based active packaging film on the metabolism of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and the change rule of the structure of the microbial community in strawberries inoculated with strawberries spoilage bacteria(Botrytis cinerea)during the storage period was investigated.The results demonstrated that composite film contribute to the sustenance of reduced hydrogen peroxide and superoxide anion concentrations and the suppression of malondialdehyde accumulation,in contrast to the control group.This investigation revealed that the composite film significantly bolstered the antioxidant enzyme activities and disease resistance-related enzyme activities of strawberries,encompassing polyphenol oxidase,peroxidase,superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT).Moreover,the transcription levels of SOD and CAT genes were notably elevated in strawberries packed within the composite films.Besides,the composite film had an inhibitory effect on patho-genic bacterial genera(Ralstonia,Sphingomonas,and Erwinia)and fungal genera(Botrytis cinerea)that cause strawberries spoilage and a delayed decline in bacterial genera(unidentified_Chloroplast and Chryseobacterium)and fungal genera(Rhodotorula)that are biocontrols of strawberries postharvest diseases.Therefore,this study provides novel perspectives on the mechanisms underlying the preservation of fruits and vegetables,focusing on alterations in ROS metabolism and microbiota composition during storage.展开更多
Despite being a common therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),insufficient thermal ablation can leave behind tumor residues that can cause recurrence.This is believed to augment M2 inflammatory macrophages that usu...Despite being a common therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),insufficient thermal ablation can leave behind tumor residues that can cause recurrence.This is believed to augment M2 inflammatory macrophages that usually play a pro-tumorigenic role.To address this problem,we designed D-mannose-chelated iron oxide nanoparticles(man-IONPs) to polarize M2-like macrophages into the antitumor Ml phenotype.In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that man-IONPs specifically targeted M2-like macrophages and accumulated in peri-ablation zones after macrophage infiltration was augmented under insufficient microwave ablation(MWA).The nanoparticles simultaneously induced polarization of pro-tumorigenic M2 macrophages into antitumor M1 phenotypes,enabling the transformation of the immunosuppressive microenvironment into an immunoactivating one.Post-MWA macrophage polarization exerted robust inhibitory effects on HCC progression in a well-established orthotopic liver cancer mouse model.Thus,combining thermal ablation with man-IONPs can salvage residual tumors after insufficient MWA.These results have strong potential for clinical translation.展开更多

文摘Brassica napus(oilseed rape)is sensitive to boron(B)deficiency and exhibits young leaf curling in response to low-B stress at the seedling stage,which leads to reduced photosynthesis and plant growth.So far,no gene has been identified to be involved in B deficiency induced leaf curling.Our previous results showed the transcription factor BnaA1.WRKY53 might be involved in B-deficiency tolerance.However,altered BnaA1.WRKY53 expression does not influence B concentration in shoot,root and leaf cell walls,which suggests Bna A1.WRKY53 might be involved in other biological processes.Indeed,phenotypic and anatomical analyses revealed that BnaA1.WRKY53 negatively regulated the leaf curling induced by leaf epinasty by suppressing the overexpansion of palisade cells under B deficiency.Further transcriptome enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between wild-type and BnaA1.WRKY53overexpression line showed auxin response pathway was enriched.In addition,Arabidopsis DR5::GFP auxin reporter line showed B deficiency caused predominant auxin signal accumulation in the adaxial side and concomitant adaxial cell expansion,which indicated that B deficiency may induce leaf curling by altering auxin distribution.Phytohormone quantification and gene expression analysis demonstrated that BnaA1.WRKY53 prevent auxin overaccumulation in leaves by suppressing auxin biosynthetic genes under B deficiency.Furthermore,exogenous 1-naphthlcetic acid(NAA)treatment experiments revealed that high auxin could induce leaf curling and BnaA1.WRKY53 expression.Overall,these findings demonstrate that auxin and the transcription factor BnaA1.WRKY53 synergistically regulate leaf curling to maintain an optimal leaf area under B deficiency,and provide novel insights into the resistance mechanisms against B-deficiency-induced leaf curling in oilseed rape.

文摘AIM:To investigate the ultrasonographic features of ciliary body mesectodermal leiomyomas(CBL).METHODS:Ultrasonographic data of 18 eyes from 18 patients with histopathologically confirmed CBL were analyzed,covering the period from March 2018 to February 2024.The study included 5 male and 13 female patients,aged 14-64y,with a mean age of 40.11±13.54y.The following ultrasonographic features were evaluated:tumor base diameter,thickness,maximum base diameterto-thickness ratio,shape,internal echogenicity,margin echogenicity,internal echo homogeneity,secondary changes,color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI)findings,and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)characteristics.RESULTS:Conventional ultrasound findings of the 18 CBL cases were as follows:1)Tumor size:base diameter of(13.48±4.74)×(11.57±4.00)mm^(2),thickness of 7.70±2.60 mm,and maximum base diameter-to-thickness ratio of 1.77±0.36.2)Shape:14 cases(77.8%)were hemispherical,and 4 cases(22.2%)were irregular.3)Internal echogenicity:the solid component of the tumor was hypoechoic in 16 cases(88.9%)and low-to-medium echogenic in 2 cases(11.1%).4)Margin echogenicity:relatively hyperechoic with a“ring-shaped”margin in 15 cases(83.3%)and isoechoic in 3 cases(16.7%;compared with internal echogenicity).5)Internal echo homogeneity:homogeneous in 11 cases(61.1%)and heterogeneous in 7 cases(38.9%),with 6 cases(33.3%)among the 7 heterogeneous cases exhibiting cystic anechoic areas.6)Secondary retinal detachment was observed in 4 cases(22.2%).CDFI revealed heterogeneous vascularity within the tumors,with blood flow signals ranging from minimal to marked.CEUS was performed in 14 patients:complete contrast agent perfusion was observed in 10 cases(71.4%),and partial perfusion was noted in 4 cases(28.6%).Additionally,8 cases(57.1%)showed a rapid wash-in and slow wash-out pattern,while 6 cases(42.9%)demonstrated a rapid wash-in and rapid wash-out pattern.CONCLUSION:CBL exhibit relatively typical ultrasonographic features,which can provide valuable evidence for the clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of intraocular tumors.

文摘Ti-coated SiCp particles were developed by vacuum evaporation with Ti to improve the interfacial bonding of SiCp/Al composites.Ti-coated SiC particles and uncoated SiC particles reinforced Al 2519 matrix composites were prepared by hot pressing,hot extrusion and heat treatment.The influence of Ti coating on microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The results show that the densely deposited Ti coating reacts with SiC particles to form TiC and Ti5Si3 phases at the interface.Ti-coated SiC particle reinforced composite exhibits uniformity and compactness compared to the composite reinforced with uncoated SiC particles.The microstructure,relative density and mechanical properties of the composite are significantly improved.When the volume fraction is 15%,the hardness,fracture strain and tensile strength of the SiCp reinforced Al 2519 composite after Ti plating are optimized,which are HB 138.5,4.02%and 455 MPa,respectively.

文摘Extracts from rabbit skin inflamed by the vaccinia virus can relieve pain and promote repair of nerve injury. The present study intraperitoneally injected extracts from rabbit skin inflamed by the vaccinia virus for 3 and 4 days prior to and following intrathecal injection of bupivacaine into pregnant rats. The pain threshold test after bupivacaine injection showed that the maximum possible effect of tail-flick latency peaked 1 day after intrathecal injection of bupivacaine in the extract-pretreatment group, and gradually decreased, while the maximum possible effect in the bupivacaine group continued to increase after intrathecal injection of bupivacaine. Histological observation showed that after 4 days of intrathecal injection of bupivacaine, the number of shrunken, vacuolated, apoptotic and caspase-9-positive cells in the dorsal root ganglion in the extract-pretreatment group was significantly reduced compared with the bupivacaine group. These findings indicate that extracts from rabbit skin inflamed by the vaccinia virus can attenuate neurotoxicity induced by intrathecal injection of bupivacaine in pregnant rats, possibly by inhibiting caspase-9 protein expression and suppressing nerve cell apoptosis.

文摘Objective:To explore the association between cholecystectomy and the prognostic outcomes of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(H CC)who underwent microwave ablation(MWA).Methods:Patients with HCC(«=921)who underwent MWA were included and divided into cholecystectomy(n=114)and non-cholecystectomy groups(n=807).After propensity score matching(PSM)at a 1:2 ratio,overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)rates were analyzed to compare prognostic outcomes between the cholecystectomy(«=114)and non-cholecystectomy groups(n=228).Univariate and multivariate Cox analyses were performed to assess potential risk factors for OS and DFS.Major complications were also compared between the groups.Results:After matching,no significant differences between groups were observed in baseline characteristics.The 1-,3-,and 5-year OS rates were 96.5%,82.1%,and 67.1%in the cholecystectomy group,and 97.4%,85.2%,and 74.4%in the non-cholecystectomy group(P=0.396);the 1-,3-,and 5-year DFS rates were 58.4%,34.5%,and 26.6%in the cholecystectomy group,and 73.6%,44.7%,and 32.2%in the non-cholecystectomy group(P=0.026),respectively.The intrahepatic distant recurrence rate in the cholecystectomy group was significantly higher than that in the non-cholecystectomy group(P=0.026),and the local tumor recurrence and extrahepatic recurrence rates did not significantly differ between the groups(P=0.609 and P=0.879).Multivariate analysis revealed that cholecystectomy(HR=1.364,95%Cl 1.023-1.819,P=0.035),number of tumors(2 vs.1:HR=2.744,95%Cl 1.925-3.912,P<0.001;3 vs.1:HR=3.411,95%Cl 2.021-5.759,P<0.001),and y-GT levels(HR=1.003,95%Cl 1.000-1.006,P<0.024)were independent risk factors for DFS.The best y-GT level cut-off value for predicting median DFS was 39.6 U/L(area under the curve=0.600,P<0.05).A positive correlation was observed between cholecystectomy and y-GT level(r=0.108,95%Cl-0.001-0.214,P=0.047).Subgroup analysis showed that the DFS rates were significantly higher in the non-cholecystectomy group than the cholecystectomy group when Y-GT>39.6 U/L(i3=0.044).The 5-,10-,15-,20-,and 25-year recurrence rates from the time of cholecystectomy were 2.63%,21.93%,42.11%,58.77%,and 65.79%,respectively.A significant positive correlation was observed between cholecystectomy and the time from cholecystectomy to recurrence(r=0.205,95%Cl 0.016-0.379,P=0.029).There were no significant differences in complications between groups(P=0.685).Conclusions:Patients with HCC who underwent cholecystectomy were more likely to develop intrahepatic distant recurrence after MWA,an outcome probably associated with increased y-GT levels.Moreover,the recurrence rates increased with time.

文摘Purpose:Microwave ablation(MWA)is difficult to perform in colorectal liver metastases(CRLMs)adjacent to the cardiophrenic angle.Therefore,a modified approach involving antenna array placement parallel to the diaphragm was initially attempted.Its safety and efficacy were compared with those involving non-parallel placement.Methods:Sixty-three patients with CRLMs adjacent to the cardiophrenic angle(lesions within 10 mm of the diaphragm)who underwent MWA were included in the study.All patients were further classified into parallel and non-parallel groups according to the method of antenna placement.The distance between the lesion and diaphragmatic surface before MWA,complications,and local tumor progression(LTP)at the last imaging follow-up were recorded.LTPs in the two groups were compared using the log-rank test.Prognostic factors for LTP were assessed using the Cox proportional hazards regression model.Results:Thirty and 33 lesions were ablated using parallel and non-parallel antenna placement,respectively.During the mean follow-up duration of 19.7±8.2 months,the LTP rate in the parallel and non-parallel placement groups were 3.3%(1/30)and 24.2%(8/33),respectively.The log-rank test showed that parallel antenna placement was associated with delayed LTP(p=0.018).Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that parallel antenna placement was an independent predictor of delayed LTP after adjusting for possible risk factors,including age,sex,tumor size,and KRAS mutation(hazard ratio,0.1;95%confidence interval,0.00,0.80;p=0.034).Conclusion:The placement of the antenna parallel to the diaphragm is an alternative and effective method for MWA of CRLMs near the cardiophrenic angle and can contribute to the reduction of the LTP rate.

文摘AIM:To analyze the differences,agreements,and correlation among total corneal power parameters generated by different instruments after myopic keratorefractive surgery.METHODS:The prospective cross-sectional study included patients who underwent myopic keratorefractive surgery and received measurements of corneal power 3mo after surgery.Automated keratometer was used for the measurement of simulated keratometry(Sim K),sweptsource optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)based biometer for total keratometry(TK),anterior segment-OCT for real keratometry(RK),and Scheimpflug keratometer for the true net power(TNP),the total corneal refractive power(TCRP)and equivalent K-readings(EKR).The differences among these parameters were analyzed,and the agreements and correlation between Sim K and other total corneal power parameters were investigated.RESULTS:A total of 70 eyes of 70 patients after myopic keratorefractive surgery were included.The evaluated corneal power parameters were as follows:Sim K 38.32±1.93 D,TK 37.54±2.12 D,RK 36.64±2.09 D,TNP 36.56±1.97 D,TCRP 36.70±2.01 D,and EKR 37.55±2.00 D.Pairwise comparison showed that there were significant differences(P<0.001)among all parameters except for between TK and EKR,RK and TNP,RK and TCRP(P=1.000,1.000,1.000,respectively).The limits of agreement between Sim K and TK,RK,TNP,TCPR,and EKR were 1.08,1.08,1.43,1.48,and 1.73 D,respectively.All parameters showed good correlation with Sim K,and the correlation coefficients were 0.995,0.994,0.983,0.982,and 0.975.CONCLUSION:Among the corneal power parameters after myopic keratorefractive surgery,the value of Sim K is the largest,followed by TK and EKR,with TCRP,RK,and TNP being the smallest.The differences among the parameters may be attributable to the different calculation principles.Correct understanding and evaluation of corneal power parameters can provide a theoretical basis for taking advantage of the total corneal power to improve the accuracy of intraocular lens calculation after keratorefractive surgery.

To further strengthen concentration degree of the chemical industry, improve the production efficiency and utilization rate of emissions, realize the comprehensive utilization of energy development and the green development. In China' s zinc smelting industry, the use of most of the zinc smelting raw materials contain a small amount of the cobalt, zinc in the process of leaching into the zinc sulfate solution, as a harmful effect of the zinc impurities. For zinc sulfate leaching solution cobalt purification, most of the factories are using zinc powder replacement purification method, the output of the purification of zinc slag in the vast majority of zinc with small part of cadmium and a small amount of nickel, cobalt, copper, manganese and so on. This paper proposes the novel systematic method of the Zinc leaching residue re-use that will promote the further development of the green industry.

文摘Large granular lymphocytic leukemia(LGLL)is characterized by the clonal proliferation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes or NK cells.Standard first-line immunosuppressive treatments have limitations,achieving complete remission(CR)rates of up to 50%.Immune system dysregulation is implicated in LGLL.Promising results for thalidomide,an immunomodulatory drug,combined with prednisone and methotrexate(TPM),were observed in our pilot study.This multicenter study evaluated the effcacy and safety of a thalidomide,prednisone,and methotrexate(TPM)regimen in 52 symptomatic,methotrexate-and thalidomide-naive LGLL patients from June 2020 to August 2022.Thalidomide(100 mg daily for up to 24 months),prednisone(0.5-1.0 mg/kg every other day,tapered after 3 months),and methotrexate(10 mg/m^(2) weekly for up to 12 months)were administered.The primary objective was to determine the CR rate.The median follow-up duration was 29.0 months(range:4.0-42.0).Forty-seven patients(90.4%)achieved hematological and symptomatic responses.Thirty-nine patients(75.0%)achieved CR.The median time to response was 3.0 months(range:3.0-9.0).The median progression-free survival was 40.0 months(95%confidence interval(Cl):38.0-42.0),and the median duration of response was 39.0 months(95%Cl:36.1-41.9).The most common adverse event was peripheral neuropathy(24.1%),most of which(84.6%)were grades 1-2.Four patients experienced grade≥3 adverse events.In conclusion,the TPM regimen was an effective and safe treatment for symptomatic LGLL patients,with a particularly high CR rate.This trial was registered at www.clinicaltrials.gov(#NCT04453345).

文摘Pectin andε-polylysine(ε-PL)nanoparticles loaded with Litsea cubeba essential oil(LEO)(PP-LNPs)were pre-pared through the electrostatic interaction.Metal phenol network(MPN)coatings,designated as MPN@PP-LNPs,were fabricated on the surface of the nanoparticles via self-assembly process of tannic acid(TA)and FeIII to develop food preservative materials with pH-responsive controlled release.The morphology,encapsulation ef-ficiency,and pH-responsive release characteristics of MPN@PP-LNPs were investigated.The results showed that the particle size of MPN@PP-LNPs was 432.5±58.6 nm.Furthermore,the encapsulation efficiencies ofε-PL and LEO were 83.26±2.21%and 30.78±3.92%,respectively.TA was rapidly released at low pH,while LEO exhibited controlled release over a wide pH range(pH 1.2-9.0).In addition,the MPN coating has been demonstrated to enhance antioxidant activity and inhibit the growth of E.coli and S.aureus under acidic con-ditions.Furthermore,preliminary evidence suggests that MPN@PP-LNPs are not cytotoxic.In conclusion,MPN@PP-LNPs,prepared through the self-assembled surface modification of TA and Fe^(II)I,was an effective material for food preservation.

文摘Flos sophorae has the potential to alleviate hyperuricemia.To improve its anti-hyperuricemia activity,Flos sophorae was fermented with 90 probiotics from different sources,respectively.A comprehensive investigation was conducted to ascertain the impact of fermentation on the anti-hyperuricemia activity,major constituents,volatile components,and antioxidant activity of Flos sophorae.The 7 strains,selected based on xanthine oxidase(XO)activity and HK-2 cell model analysis,significantly enhanced the XO inhibition of Flos sophorae,reduced uric acid production,downregulated mRNA expression of ADA and GLUT9,and upregulated that of ABCG2.Additionally,the 7 strains significantly elevated the total flavonoid content of Flos sophorae.The antioxidant capacity of Flos sophorae was augmented following fermentation.Notably,fermentation enriched the volatile profile of Flos sophorae,with a decrease in aldehydes and an increase in phenolics,alcohols,and esters compounds.The results suggest that probiotic-fermented Flos sophorae is an effective strategy to improve its healthpromoting potential.

文摘Phosvitin(PV)is a highly phosphorylated protein found in egg yolk.PV hydrolysate(PPP)has excellent calciumbinding capacity,although its ability to promote calcium deposition and the underlying mechanism are unclear.This study aimed to explore the calcium deposition capacity and mechanisms of PPP and PPP-Ca.The fraction 3(PPP3)was isolated by anion-exchange chromatography and exhibited the best calcium-binding activity(98.11±0.91%).To mimic the microenvironment of bone formation,a three-cell co-culture model of intestinal epithelial cells-osteoblasts-osteoclasts(Caco-2/MC3T3-E1/RAW264.7)was established.The alkaline phosphatase results indicated that PPP3 and PPP3-Ca significantly promoted osteoblasts differentiation compared to CaCl_(2).Correspondingly,PPP3,PPP3-Ca,and CaCl_(2) reduced tartrate resistant acid phosphatase content by 43.84%,46.92% and 17.21%,respectively,suggesting that PPP3 and PPP3-Ca effectively inhibited osteoclasts differentiation.The molecular mechanism by which PPP3 and PPP3-Ca inhibited osteoclasts bone resorption involved regulating mRNA expression of the OPG/RANKL/RANK pathway.Notably,PPP3-Ca demonstrated higher pro-calcium deposition in co-cultured cells,about 1.70 times higher than CaCl_(2).PPP3-Ca dependent high phosphorylation exerted a pro-mineralization effect,as analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy.Overall,this study suggested that PPP3-Ca as organic calcium was more effective than CaCl_(2) in promoting calcium deposition.

文摘Lactic acid bacteria(LAB)are noted for their effectiveness as an adjunctive treatment in managing disorders related to glucose metabolism.Type 2 diabetes mellitus,a significant contributor to numerous chronic health issues,is tightly linked to insulin resistance(IR).This study aimed to screen LAB strains with hypoglycemic ability,assess their probiotic characteristics,and research their in vitro hypoglycemic mechanism based on IR model in HepG2 cells(IR-HepG2).Out of 73 LAB strains derived from traditional Chinese fermented food,Lactiplantibacillus plantarum B19 was chosen due to its superior probiotic attributes,safety profile,and anα-glucosidase inhibition rate surpassing 60%.The cell-free supernatant of B19(B19-CFS)was subjected to further in vitro analysis in IR-HepG2 cells.In comparison to the model group,the high concentration of B19-CFS(0.5 mg/mL)treatment group increased glucose consumption and glycogen content by 184.41%and 44.10%,respectively.Meanwhile,the content of glutathione increased by 102.34%,while that of malondialdehyde decreased by 42.86%.For the activities of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase,they increased by 33.95%and 43.04%respectively,while the activity of glutathione reductase decreased by 46.67%.These effects were comparable to those observed with 1 mM metformin.Further examination through RT-qPCR revealed B19-CFS treatment could regulate the mRNA expression related to AMPK/PI3K/AKT pathway.The results indicated that B19-CFS mitigated hepatic IR by activating the AMPK/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway,promoting glycolysis while suppressing glycogen synthesis and oxidative stress.In conclusion,L.plantarum B19 is a potential therapeutic probiotic for lowering glucose.

文摘Deoiled egg yolk powder(DOEP),rich in proteins and phospholipids,is underexploited due to its poor solubility.Therefore,this study employed enzymatic modification to enhance bioactivity,evaluated the in vitro hypolipidemic activity of DOEP hydrolysate(DOEPH),and elucidated the inhibitory mechanism of DOEPH on pancreatic lipase(PL).The results showed that DOEPH obtained under hydrolysis conditions(10 U/mg Trypsin for 4 h)exhibited a PL inhibition rate of 73.16±4.81%at a concentration of 10 mg/mL by a reversible mixed-type inhibition.Spectroscopic analysis further demonstrated that DOEPH reduced the intrinsic fluorescence of PL by 72.31%at 37℃,indicating that hydrophobic interactions drive conformational changes in PL,thereby decreasing its enzymatic activity.Two key components were screened via LC-MS/MS and molecular docking:Peptides(RIANQIR:7.9 kcal/mol)and phosphatidylcholine(PC).RIANQIR bonded to a non-active site of PL,whereas PC interacted with the substrate active site(Arg-257),resulting in a dual synergistic inhibitory effect,which was consistent with the enzyme kinetics findings.Additionally,RIANQIR and PC(2 mg/mL)achieved PL inhibition rate of 50.00±1.29%and 47.84±4.33%,respectively,demonstrating their high hypolipidemic potential.This study offers a strategic approach for the high-value development and diversified industrial application of DOEP,while also proposing a novel dietary intervention for obesity management.

文摘Cinnamaldehyde exhibits potent antibacterial activity,yet its mechanism against Bacillus cereus and its stability in use remain understudied.Herein,this study aimed to investigate the antibacterial mechanism of cinnamaldehyde against B.cereus and to prepare cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsions by ultrasonic emulsification to improve its stability.Cinnamaldehyde exhibited significant antibacterial effects on B.cereus by destroying the integrity of the cell wall and membrane,interfering with normal metabolic activities,inhibiting swarming motility,destroying the structure of the biofilm,and inhibiting enterotoxin production.Furthermore,the nanoemulsion had the smallest mean particle size and PDI at 6%sodium caseinate(SC)and 1%medium chain triglyceride(MCT).FTIR results showed that cinnamaldehyde was successfully encapsulated in the nanoemulsion.Cinnamaldehyde in nanoemulsions exhibited a slow and sustained release behavior.The antibacterial and storage stability tests showed that after emulsification,the minimum inhibition concentration(MIC)and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)against B.cereus were 0.82 times higher than those of free cinnamaldehyde,and its particle size remained at under 200 nm after storage at 4℃and 25℃for 15 days.Finally,cinnamaldehyde nanoemulsions demonstrated excellent antibacterial potential in whole,low-fat,and skim milk,underscoring cinnamaldehyde’s viability as a natural preservative in food systems.This investigation might provide a novel strategy for the practical utilization of cinnamaldehyde in the preservation of foodstuffs.

文摘The market value of strawberries is considerably impacted by quality deterioration and senescence during postharvest storage.In the study,the effect of isoreticular metal-organic skeleton(IRMOF-3)nanoparticles loaded with eugenol/chitosan-based active packaging film on the metabolism of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and the change rule of the structure of the microbial community in strawberries inoculated with strawberries spoilage bacteria(Botrytis cinerea)during the storage period was investigated.The results demonstrated that composite film contribute to the sustenance of reduced hydrogen peroxide and superoxide anion concentrations and the suppression of malondialdehyde accumulation,in contrast to the control group.This investigation revealed that the composite film significantly bolstered the antioxidant enzyme activities and disease resistance-related enzyme activities of strawberries,encompassing polyphenol oxidase,peroxidase,superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT).Moreover,the transcription levels of SOD and CAT genes were notably elevated in strawberries packed within the composite films.Besides,the composite film had an inhibitory effect on patho-genic bacterial genera(Ralstonia,Sphingomonas,and Erwinia)and fungal genera(Botrytis cinerea)that cause strawberries spoilage and a delayed decline in bacterial genera(unidentified_Chloroplast and Chryseobacterium)and fungal genera(Rhodotorula)that are biocontrols of strawberries postharvest diseases.Therefore,this study provides novel perspectives on the mechanisms underlying the preservation of fruits and vegetables,focusing on alterations in ROS metabolism and microbiota composition during storage.

文摘Despite being a common therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),insufficient thermal ablation can leave behind tumor residues that can cause recurrence.This is believed to augment M2 inflammatory macrophages that usually play a pro-tumorigenic role.To address this problem,we designed D-mannose-chelated iron oxide nanoparticles(man-IONPs) to polarize M2-like macrophages into the antitumor Ml phenotype.In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that man-IONPs specifically targeted M2-like macrophages and accumulated in peri-ablation zones after macrophage infiltration was augmented under insufficient microwave ablation(MWA).The nanoparticles simultaneously induced polarization of pro-tumorigenic M2 macrophages into antitumor M1 phenotypes,enabling the transformation of the immunosuppressive microenvironment into an immunoactivating one.Post-MWA macrophage polarization exerted robust inhibitory effects on HCC progression in a well-established orthotopic liver cancer mouse model.Thus,combining thermal ablation with man-IONPs can salvage residual tumors after insufficient MWA.These results have strong potential for clinical translation.
