Despite the widespread presence and frequent detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)in various aspects of life,there is limited research on their exposure levels in pregnant women and cumulative exposure f...Despite the widespread presence and frequent detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)in various aspects of life,there is limited research on their exposure levels in pregnant women and cumulative exposure from the living environment.This study included 1311 women in late pregnancy from the Zunyi birth cohort and measured the urinary concentrations of 10 hydroxylated PAH metabolites(OH-PAHs).Risk assessment was conducted based on the estimated daily intake to calculate the hazard quotient and hazard index(HI).A linear regression model was used to analyze the relationship between creatinine-adjusted OH-PAHs concentrations and living environment and lifestyle factors,while principal component analysis was applied to trace the sources of PAHs exposure.1-OHPYR was detected in all participants’urine,with naphthalene metabolites having the highest concentrations among creatinine-adjusted PAHs.OH-PAHs concentrations were associated with housing type,room number,cooking frequency,household size,exercise frequency,fuel type,distance from main road,and drinking water source.Pregnant women using traditional fuels and living in bungalows had higher health risks than those using clean energy and living in buildings.Those living within 100 m of a main road had higher HI than those farther away.Coal combustion was identified as the primary source of PAHs exposure.The study emphasizes the importance of reducing PAHs exposure,especially for pregnant women living in polluted environments.It recommends public health interventions such as improving indoor ventilation and providing clean energy to reduce related health risks.展开更多

Anemia is still prevalent among low and middle-income countries,posing serious family and social burdens.However,scarce studies provided evidence for real-world exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and an...Anemia is still prevalent among low and middle-income countries,posing serious family and social burdens.However,scarce studies provided evidence for real-world exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and anemia among pregnant women,as well as involved biological mechanisms.So,we conducted this study including 1717 late pregnant women fromZunyi Birth Cohort and collected urine samples for PAHs metabolites detection.Logistic regression and restricted cubic spline regression were used to examine exposuredisease risks and dose-response relationships.We conducted Bayesian kernel machine regression,weighted quantile sum regression,and quantile g-computation regression to fit the joint impacts of multiple PAHs in the real-world scenario on hypocalcemia and anemia.Results showed single exposure to 2-OHNap,2-OHFlu,9-OHFlu,1-OHPhe,2-OHPhe,3-OHPhe,and 1-OHPyr(all P-trend<0.05)increased the risks of hypocalcemia and anemia.Moreover,PAHs mixture was significantly related to higher risks of hypocalcemia and anemia,with 3-OHPhe and 1-OHPyr identified as their major drivers,respectively.Importantly,hypocalcemia served as a significant biological mechanism responsible for PAHs and anemia.Our findings suggest that individual and joint exposure to PAHs during late pregnancy elevate the anemia risk,and calcium supplementation might be a low-cost intervention target for reducing the PAHs-related impairment on anemia for pregnant women.展开更多
BACKGROUND The vascular endothelial glycocalyx(VEG)plays a critical role in maintaining vascular barrier integrity,regulating inflammation,and ensuring microcirculatory homeostasis.Surgical stress and systemic inflamm...BACKGROUND The vascular endothelial glycocalyx(VEG)plays a critical role in maintaining vascular barrier integrity,regulating inflammation,and ensuring microcirculatory homeostasis.Surgical stress and systemic inflammation can disrupt the glycocalyx,leading to endothelial dysfunction,impaired microcirculation,and adverse postoperative outcomes.dexmedetomidine(DEX),anα2-adrenergic agonist with anti-inflammatory and organ-protective properties,has been suggested in preclinical and clinical studies to mitigate glycocalyx degradation,yet evidence in gastrointestinal cancer surgery remains limited.AIM To determine whether perioperative DEX attenuates surgical inflammation-induced VEG degradation and preserves endothelial barrier function in patients undergoing gastrointestinal cancer resection.METHODS This was a prospective,single-center,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China.A total of 110 patients undergoing elective gastric or colorectal tumor resection were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive intraoperative DEX or saline placebo.Anesthesia and analgesia were standardized across groups.The primary outcome was plasma syndecan-1 concentration,a marker of endothelial glycocalyx injury,measured at four perioperative timepoints(T0-T3).Secondary outcomes included inflammatory biomarkers[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-alpha,C-reactive protein,heparan sulfate],microcirculatory parameters[perfused vessel density(PVD),flow index,P(v-a)CO_(2),lactate],and clinical endpoints[extubation time,opioid use,Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores,Quality of Recovery-15 Questionnaire(QoR-15),length of stay,and 30-day complications].Postoperative complications were defined by Clavien-Dindo criteria and adjudicated by blinded investigators.The trial was registered prospectively(ChiCTR^(2)500109633)and powered to detect a clinically meaningful difference in syndecan-1 levels.RESULTS A total of 110 patients were randomized equally to the DEX or control group,with well-balanced baseline characteristics.Compared with controls,DEX significantly reduced postoperative infections(7%vs 16%)and intensive care unit admissions(7%vs 13%),shortened extubation time(13.1±3.0 minutes vs 18.4±4.0 minutes;P<0.001),and decreased opioid use(23.1±5.0 mg vs 27.3±6.0 mg;P=0.004)and VAS pain scores(P=0.002).At abdominal closure,DEX attenuated endothelial glycocalyx injury,as evidenced by lower plasma syndecan-1(44.72±7.10 ng/mL vs 48.73±6.26 ng/mL;P=0.002)and heparan sulfate levels(P=0.001).IL-6 was significantly reduced at 24 hours(110.77±29.72 pg/mL vs 138.86±35.95 pg/mL;P<0.0001)and positively correlated with syndecan-1(r=0.71).Microcirculatory function improved with DEX,including higher PVD(21.40±3.50 mm/mm^(2)vs 19.94±2.93 mm/mm^(2);P=0.019),increased flow index,lower P(v-a)CO_(2)(P<0.001),and reduced lactate(P=0.003).DEX also improved recovery outcomes,with higher QoR-15 scores(P=0.001),shorter hospital stays(6.49±1.29 days vs 7.29±1.59 days;P=0.005),and fewer overall 30-day complications(12.7%vs 30.9%;P=0.036).Receiver operating characteristic analysis identified syndecan-1>45 ng/mL at abdominal closure as a potential predictor of postoperative complications(area under the curve=0.68,95%CI:0.59-0.76),and multivariable analysis showed a near-significant association(OR=2.88,P=0.057).Subgroup analyses demonstrated consistent anti-inflammatory and endothelial-protective effects of DEX across age and surgical approach strata.CONCLUSION Perioperative administration of DEX confers significant endothelial-protective effects by mitigating glycocalyx degradation,suppressing systemic inflammation,and promoting enhanced postoperative recovery.These findings support its clinical utility as a valuable adjunctive therapy in the perioperative management of patients undergoing oncologic gastrointestinal surgery.展开更多
Objective:To summarize the nursing experience of a patient with intracranial aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage who developed pulmonary embolism after clipping surgery.Methods:A patient in our hospital,who had intracrani...Objective:To summarize the nursing experience of a patient with intracranial aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage who developed pulmonary embolism after clipping surgery.Methods:A patient in our hospital,who had intracranial aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage and developed pulmonary embolism after clipping surgery,was selected as the research subject.Through multidisciplinary collaboration,standardized assessment and dynamic condition observation,various risks were identified early.Combined with the patient’s individual characteristics,a personalized nursing plan was formulated.During the treatment process,emphasis was placed on strengthening the patient’s airway management,closely monitoring various indicators,and preventing postoperative complications.Targeted nursing measures were adopted:reasonable airway humidification and effective lung care were used to gradually control the patient’s pulmonary infection;fluid balance management and individualized care were implemented to ensure the patient’s normal circulating blood volume,thereby optimizing cerebral perfusion and cerebral oxygenation.Since the patient had overlapping risk factors for bleeding and thromboembolic events,evidence-based nursing principles were followed for thromboembolism prevention,and anticoagulation strategies and nursing plans were dynamically adjusted to reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.Results:The patient’s condition improved and was successfully discharged on the 22^(nd) day after surgery,and then transferred to a local rehabilitation hospital for further treatment.At the 1-month follow-up after discharge,the patient recovered well;at the 3-month follow-up after discharge,the patient had recovered and returned home.Conclusion:The results show that standardized assessment and condition observation,multidisciplinary collaboration,and personalized nursing plans can significantly reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications and improve the patient’s prognosis.This nursing experience provides a reference for the nursing of similar patients in the future.展开更多

It remains unclear whether interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β are released by microglia or astrocytes. This study prepared hippocampal slices that were subsequently subjected to oxygen and glucose deprivation. Hematoxylin-eosin staining verified that neurons exhibited hypoxic changes. Results of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay found that interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β participated in this hypoxic process. Moreover, when hypoxic injury occurred in the hippocampus, the release of interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β was mediated by the P2X4 receptor and P2X7 receptor. Immunofluorescence staining revealed that during ischemia/hypoxia, the P2X4 receptor, P2X7 receptor, interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β expression was detectable in rat hippocampal microglia, but only P2X4 receptor and P2X7 receptor expression was detected in astrocytes. Results suggested that the P2X4 receptor and P2X7 receptor, respectively, mediated interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β released by microglia, resulting in hippocampal ischemic/hypoxic injury. Astrocytes were activated, but did not synthesize or release interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β.展开更多

By combining computational prediction and high-accuracy tandem mass spectra, we revised the genome annotation of Leptospira interrogans serovar Lai, a free-living pathogenic spirochete responsible for leptospirosis, providing substantial peptide evidence for novel genes and new gene boundaries. Subsequently, we presented a high-coverage proteome analysis of protein expression and multiple posttranslational modifications (PTMs). Approximately 64.3% of the predicted L. interrogans proteins were cataloged by detecting 2 540 proteins. Meanwhile, a profile of multiple PTMs was concurrently established, containing in total 32 phosphorylated, 46 acetylated and 155 methylated proteins. The PTM systems in the serovar Lai show unique features. Unique eukaryotic-like features of L. interrogans protein modifications were demonstrated in both phosphorylation and arginine methylation. This systematic analysis provides not only comprehensive information of high-coverage protein expression and multiple modifications in prokaryotes but also a view suggesting that the evolutionarily primitive L. interrogans shares significant similarities in protein modification systems with eukaryotes.展开更多

Objective: Many studies reported that matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) participated in the development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and resulted in poor prognosis, however, they all included few...Objective: Many studies reported that matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) participated in the development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and resulted in poor prognosis, however, they all included few patients and had inconsistent results. So we conducted a meta-analysis to explore the correlation between overexpression of MMP-9 and the clinicopathological characteristics and overall survival (OS) of ESCC. Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Google Scholar and other databases were searched for relevant studies. The Newcastle-Ottawa quality assessment scale was used to assess the methodological quality of included study and RevMan 5.2 software was used to conduct meta-analysis. Results: A total of 35 studies were included, and the results of meta-analysis showed that overexpression of MMP-9 was associated with grade of differentiation [well/moderate vs. poor: odds ratio (OR): 0.39, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.29-0.52; P〈0.00001], lymph node metastasis (negative vs. positive: OR: 0.24, 95% CI: 0.16-0.34; P〈0.00001), TNM stage (T1/T2 vs. T3/T4: OR: 0.28, 95% CI: 0.14-0.54; P=0.0002), the depth of invasion (T1/T2 vs. T3/T4: OR: 0.29, 95% CI: 0.17-0.49; P〈0.00001), and vascular invasion of ESCC (negative vs. positive: OR: 0.35, 95% CI: 0.21-0.58; P〈0.0001), and also associated with poor overall survival ofESCC (HR: 2.17, 95% CI: 1.32-3.57; P=0.002). Subgroup analysis showed that more than 10% of carcinoma cell staining was associated with significant increase of mortality risk (HR: 2.44, 95 % CI: 1.16-5.15; P=0.02), and sensitive analysis suggested that MMP-9 was an independent prognostic factor in ESCC (HR: 1.49, 95% CI: 1.16-1.91; P=0.002). Conclusions:On the basis of limited evidence, overexpression of MMP-9 may be a potential independent prognosis factor of ESCC patients in Asia, and high-quality studies assessing the prognostic significance of MMP-9 for ESCC patients are still needed.展开更多

The theropod dominated locality also reveals the second report of the avian theropod ichnogenus Wupus, one of the largest avian traces currently known from the Lower Cretaceous. The Linjiang site provides evidence to support previous interpretations of a distinctive Lower Cretaceous theropod-dominated ichnofauna that was widespread in China and East Asia and highlights the similarity between Lower Cretaceous theropod ichnotaxa in East Asia and those found in the Lower Jurassic both in East Asia and elsewhere. These similarities in turn create various ichnotaxonomic challenges familiar to researchers working on theropod tracks, and we recommend caution in the naming of new theropod ichnotaxa at the ichnogenus level.展开更多

Methods Two hundred and ten women with early missed abortion were equally randomized into three groups. Three cervical preparations, Dilapan-dilator method (group A, n= 70), mifepristone method (group B, n= 70), and misoprostol method (group C, n= 70), were used 24 h before curettage for terminating missed abortion, respectively. Clinical outcomes and complications for these three methods were compared. Results No differences were found in rates of successful treatment among the three groups (P〉O.05). The incidence of fitting number 8 Hegar dilator was slightly high in group A, but it was not different compared with that in group B or group C (P〉0.05). Bleeding in previous 24 h in group C was significantly greater than that in group A or group B (P〈0.01). The cases of blood loss (〉50 ml) during evacuation in group B were more than those in group A (P〉0.05). Women in group B had less abdominal pain than those in group A or group C (P〈0.01). Side effects in group C were more than those in group A on nausea (P〈0.01), vomiting (P〈0.05), and diarrhea (P〈0.01). Group B had the highest acceptability among the three groups (P〈0.05). Conclusion Three methods have the similar clinical efficacies in cervical ripening for surgical treatment of early missed abortion. Based on individual characteristics, different approach would be chosen to avoid some adverse events and improve the clinical application of Dilapan-dilator.展开更多
Lipid remodeling is crucial for cold tolerance in plants.However,the precise alternations of lipidomics during cold responses remain elusive,especially in maize(Zea mays L.).In addition,the key genes responsible for c...Lipid remodeling is crucial for cold tolerance in plants.However,the precise alternations of lipidomics during cold responses remain elusive,especially in maize(Zea mays L.).In addition,the key genes responsible for cold tolerance in maize lipid metabolism have not been identified.Here,we integrate lipidomic,transcriptomic,and genetic analysis to determine the profile of lipid remodeling caused by cold stress.We find that the homeostasis of cellular lipid metabolism is essential for maintaining cold tolerance of maize.Also,we detect 210 lipid species belonging to 13 major classes,covering phospholipids,glycerides,glycolipids,and free fatty acids.Various lipid metabolites undergo specific and selective alterations in response to cold stress,especially mono-/di-unsaturated lysophosphatidic acid,lysophosphatidylcholine,phosphatidylcholine,and phosphatidylinositol,as well as polyunsaturated phosphatidic acid,monogalactosyldiacylglycerol,diacylglycerol,and triacylglycerol.In addition,we identify a subset of key enzymes,including ketoacyl-acyl-carrier protein synthase II(KAS II),acyl-carrier protein 2(ACP2),male sterility33(Ms33),and stearoyl-acyl-carrier protein desaturase 2(SAD2)involved in glycerolipid biosynthetic pathways are positive regulators of maize cold tolerance.These results reveal a comprehensive lipidomic profile during the cold response of maize and provide genetic resources for enhancing cold tolerance in crops.展开更多

Results showed that the efficacy of DME in controlling black shank disease depended on both DME solution concentration and its' treatment methodology. Soil application of 1.5-5% DME 72 hr before inoculation with Phtophthora parasitica vat. nicotianae provided highly significant protection against black shank, relative to the control without DME treatment. Optimized tobacco plant treatment with 2.5% DME significantly increased peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity levels in the upper leaf sections of the tobacco plants. DME had no direct antifungal activity on the growth of Phtophthora parasitica var. nicotianae in vitro, suggesting that disease control with DME treatment resulted from the induced propagation of natural defense mechanisms in the tobacco plants.展开更多

However, BD is often missing from soil databases because its direct measurement is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and sometimes impractical, particularly on a large scale. Therefore, pedotransfer functions(PTFs) have been developed over several decades to predict BD. Here, six previously revised PTFs(including five basic functions and stepwise multiple linear regression(SMLR)) and two new PTFs, partial least squares regression(PLSR) and support vector machine regression(SVMR), were used to develop BD-predicting PTFs for coastal soils in East China. Predictor variables included soil organic carbon(SOC) and particle size distribution(PSD). To compare the robustness and reliability of the PTFs used, the calibration and prediction processes were performed 1 000 times using the calibration and validation sets divided by a random sampling algorithm. The results showed that SOC was the most important predictor, and the revised PTFs performed reasonably although only SOC was included. The PSD data were useful for a better prediction of BD, and sand and clay fractions were the second and third most important properties for predicting BD. Compared to the other PTFs, the PLSR was shown to be slightly better for the study area(the average adjusted coefficient of determination for prediction was 0.581). These results suggest that PLSR with SOC and PSD data can be used to fill in the missing BD data in coastal soil databases and provide important information to estimate coastal carbon storage, which will further improve our understanding of sea-land interactions under the conditions of ongoing global warming.展开更多

To further improve the comprehensive economic benefits of seawater desalination, the desalination load can be combined with renewable energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, and ocean energy or with the power grid to ensure its effective regulation. Utilizing energy internet(EI) technology, energy balance demand of the regional power grid, and coordinated control between coastal multi-source multi-load and regional distribution network with desalination load is reviewed herein. Several key technologies, including coordinated control of coastal multi-source multi-load system with seawater desalination load, flexible interaction between seawater desalination and regional distribution network, and combined control of coastal multi-source multi-load storage system with seawater desalination load, are discussed in detail. Adoption of the flexible interaction between seawater desalination and regional distribution networks is beneficial for solving water resource problems, improving the ability to dissipate distributed renewable energy, balancing and increasing grid loads, improving the safety and economy of coastal power grids, and achieving coordinated and comprehensive application of power grids, renewable energy sources, and coastal loads.展开更多

文摘Despite the widespread presence and frequent detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)in various aspects of life,there is limited research on their exposure levels in pregnant women and cumulative exposure from the living environment.This study included 1311 women in late pregnancy from the Zunyi birth cohort and measured the urinary concentrations of 10 hydroxylated PAH metabolites(OH-PAHs).Risk assessment was conducted based on the estimated daily intake to calculate the hazard quotient and hazard index(HI).A linear regression model was used to analyze the relationship between creatinine-adjusted OH-PAHs concentrations and living environment and lifestyle factors,while principal component analysis was applied to trace the sources of PAHs exposure.1-OHPYR was detected in all participants’urine,with naphthalene metabolites having the highest concentrations among creatinine-adjusted PAHs.OH-PAHs concentrations were associated with housing type,room number,cooking frequency,household size,exercise frequency,fuel type,distance from main road,and drinking water source.Pregnant women using traditional fuels and living in bungalows had higher health risks than those using clean energy and living in buildings.Those living within 100 m of a main road had higher HI than those farther away.Coal combustion was identified as the primary source of PAHs exposure.The study emphasizes the importance of reducing PAHs exposure,especially for pregnant women living in polluted environments.It recommends public health interventions such as improving indoor ventilation and providing clean energy to reduce related health risks.

文摘Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis)is a fruit unique to China,which is considered to have osteoprotective effects.However,no systematic experimental characterization was available.In this study,the osteoprotective activity and mechanism of Chinese dwarf cherry polyphenol extract(OPE)was studied.In vitro,OPE stimulated the alkaline phosphatase activity in the early differentiation stage,increased the osteocalcin level in the middle differentiation stage,and induced the formation of more bonemineralized nodules in the late osteogenic stage.In vivo,OPE improved cancellous bone structure and maximum load of the femur in ovariectomized(OVX)rats.The balance between bone formation and resorption was regulated.Oxidative stress levels in the peripheral blood,liver and femur were reduced.OPE alleviated the disturbance in energy metabolism,muscle development,and muscle regulation-related signaling pathways caused by OVX and activated the calcium/adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase signaling pathway.Therefore,OPE is a potential dietary supplement for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.

文摘Anemia is still prevalent among low and middle-income countries,posing serious family and social burdens.However,scarce studies provided evidence for real-world exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and anemia among pregnant women,as well as involved biological mechanisms.So,we conducted this study including 1717 late pregnant women fromZunyi Birth Cohort and collected urine samples for PAHs metabolites detection.Logistic regression and restricted cubic spline regression were used to examine exposuredisease risks and dose-response relationships.We conducted Bayesian kernel machine regression,weighted quantile sum regression,and quantile g-computation regression to fit the joint impacts of multiple PAHs in the real-world scenario on hypocalcemia and anemia.Results showed single exposure to 2-OHNap,2-OHFlu,9-OHFlu,1-OHPhe,2-OHPhe,3-OHPhe,and 1-OHPyr(all P-trend<0.05)increased the risks of hypocalcemia and anemia.Moreover,PAHs mixture was significantly related to higher risks of hypocalcemia and anemia,with 3-OHPhe and 1-OHPyr identified as their major drivers,respectively.Importantly,hypocalcemia served as a significant biological mechanism responsible for PAHs and anemia.Our findings suggest that individual and joint exposure to PAHs during late pregnancy elevate the anemia risk,and calcium supplementation might be a low-cost intervention target for reducing the PAHs-related impairment on anemia for pregnant women.
文摘BACKGROUND The vascular endothelial glycocalyx(VEG)plays a critical role in maintaining vascular barrier integrity,regulating inflammation,and ensuring microcirculatory homeostasis.Surgical stress and systemic inflammation can disrupt the glycocalyx,leading to endothelial dysfunction,impaired microcirculation,and adverse postoperative outcomes.dexmedetomidine(DEX),anα2-adrenergic agonist with anti-inflammatory and organ-protective properties,has been suggested in preclinical and clinical studies to mitigate glycocalyx degradation,yet evidence in gastrointestinal cancer surgery remains limited.AIM To determine whether perioperative DEX attenuates surgical inflammation-induced VEG degradation and preserves endothelial barrier function in patients undergoing gastrointestinal cancer resection.METHODS This was a prospective,single-center,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China.A total of 110 patients undergoing elective gastric or colorectal tumor resection were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive intraoperative DEX or saline placebo.Anesthesia and analgesia were standardized across groups.The primary outcome was plasma syndecan-1 concentration,a marker of endothelial glycocalyx injury,measured at four perioperative timepoints(T0-T3).Secondary outcomes included inflammatory biomarkers[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-alpha,C-reactive protein,heparan sulfate],microcirculatory parameters[perfused vessel density(PVD),flow index,P(v-a)CO_(2),lactate],and clinical endpoints[extubation time,opioid use,Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores,Quality of Recovery-15 Questionnaire(QoR-15),length of stay,and 30-day complications].Postoperative complications were defined by Clavien-Dindo criteria and adjudicated by blinded investigators.The trial was registered prospectively(ChiCTR^(2)500109633)and powered to detect a clinically meaningful difference in syndecan-1 levels.RESULTS A total of 110 patients were randomized equally to the DEX or control group,with well-balanced baseline characteristics.Compared with controls,DEX significantly reduced postoperative infections(7%vs 16%)and intensive care unit admissions(7%vs 13%),shortened extubation time(13.1±3.0 minutes vs 18.4±4.0 minutes;P<0.001),and decreased opioid use(23.1±5.0 mg vs 27.3±6.0 mg;P=0.004)and VAS pain scores(P=0.002).At abdominal closure,DEX attenuated endothelial glycocalyx injury,as evidenced by lower plasma syndecan-1(44.72±7.10 ng/mL vs 48.73±6.26 ng/mL;P=0.002)and heparan sulfate levels(P=0.001).IL-6 was significantly reduced at 24 hours(110.77±29.72 pg/mL vs 138.86±35.95 pg/mL;P<0.0001)and positively correlated with syndecan-1(r=0.71).Microcirculatory function improved with DEX,including higher PVD(21.40±3.50 mm/mm^(2)vs 19.94±2.93 mm/mm^(2);P=0.019),increased flow index,lower P(v-a)CO_(2)(P<0.001),and reduced lactate(P=0.003).DEX also improved recovery outcomes,with higher QoR-15 scores(P=0.001),shorter hospital stays(6.49±1.29 days vs 7.29±1.59 days;P=0.005),and fewer overall 30-day complications(12.7%vs 30.9%;P=0.036).Receiver operating characteristic analysis identified syndecan-1>45 ng/mL at abdominal closure as a potential predictor of postoperative complications(area under the curve=0.68,95%CI:0.59-0.76),and multivariable analysis showed a near-significant association(OR=2.88,P=0.057).Subgroup analyses demonstrated consistent anti-inflammatory and endothelial-protective effects of DEX across age and surgical approach strata.CONCLUSION Perioperative administration of DEX confers significant endothelial-protective effects by mitigating glycocalyx degradation,suppressing systemic inflammation,and promoting enhanced postoperative recovery.These findings support its clinical utility as a valuable adjunctive therapy in the perioperative management of patients undergoing oncologic gastrointestinal surgery.
文摘Objective:To summarize the nursing experience of a patient with intracranial aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage who developed pulmonary embolism after clipping surgery.Methods:A patient in our hospital,who had intracranial aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage and developed pulmonary embolism after clipping surgery,was selected as the research subject.Through multidisciplinary collaboration,standardized assessment and dynamic condition observation,various risks were identified early.Combined with the patient’s individual characteristics,a personalized nursing plan was formulated.During the treatment process,emphasis was placed on strengthening the patient’s airway management,closely monitoring various indicators,and preventing postoperative complications.Targeted nursing measures were adopted:reasonable airway humidification and effective lung care were used to gradually control the patient’s pulmonary infection;fluid balance management and individualized care were implemented to ensure the patient’s normal circulating blood volume,thereby optimizing cerebral perfusion and cerebral oxygenation.Since the patient had overlapping risk factors for bleeding and thromboembolic events,evidence-based nursing principles were followed for thromboembolism prevention,and anticoagulation strategies and nursing plans were dynamically adjusted to reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications.Results:The patient’s condition improved and was successfully discharged on the 22^(nd) day after surgery,and then transferred to a local rehabilitation hospital for further treatment.At the 1-month follow-up after discharge,the patient recovered well;at the 3-month follow-up after discharge,the patient had recovered and returned home.Conclusion:The results show that standardized assessment and condition observation,multidisciplinary collaboration,and personalized nursing plans can significantly reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications and improve the patient’s prognosis.This nursing experience provides a reference for the nursing of similar patients in the future.

文摘Vibration reduction has always been one of hot and important topics in mechanical engineering,especially for the special measurement instrument.In this paper,a novel limb-inspired bionic structure is proposed to generate negative stiffness and design a new quasi-zero stiffness isolator via torsion springs,distinguishing from the existing tension spring structures in the literature.The nonlinear mathematical model of the proposed structure is developed and the corresponding dynamic properties are further investigated by using the Harmonic Balance method and ADAMS verification.To evaluate the vibration isolation performance,typical three-springs quasi-zero stiffness(TS QZS)system is selected to compare with the proposed bionic structure.And the graphical processing unit(GPU)parallel technology is applied to perform necessary two-parameter analyses,providing more insights into the effects of parameters on the transmissibility.It is shown that the proposed structure can show advantages over the typical TS QZS system in a wider vibration isolation range for harmonic excitation case and shorter decay time for the impact excitation case.

文摘Interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β aggravate neuronal injury by mediating the inf1αmmatory reaction following ischemic/hypoxic brain injury. It remains unclear whether interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β are released by microglia or astrocytes. This study prepared hippocampal slices that were subsequently subjected to oxygen and glucose deprivation. Hematoxylin-eosin staining verified that neurons exhibited hypoxic changes. Results of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay found that interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β participated in this hypoxic process. Moreover, when hypoxic injury occurred in the hippocampus, the release of interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β was mediated by the P2X4 receptor and P2X7 receptor. Immunofluorescence staining revealed that during ischemia/hypoxia, the P2X4 receptor, P2X7 receptor, interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β expression was detectable in rat hippocampal microglia, but only P2X4 receptor and P2X7 receptor expression was detected in astrocytes. Results suggested that the P2X4 receptor and P2X7 receptor, respectively, mediated interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β released by microglia, resulting in hippocampal ischemic/hypoxic injury. Astrocytes were activated, but did not synthesize or release interleukin-1α and interleukin-1β.
文摘Leptospirosis is a widespread zoonotic disease caused by pathogenic spirochetes of the genus Leptospira that infects humans and a wide range of animals. By combining computational prediction and high-accuracy tandem mass spectra, we revised the genome annotation of Leptospira interrogans serovar Lai, a free-living pathogenic spirochete responsible for leptospirosis, providing substantial peptide evidence for novel genes and new gene boundaries. Subsequently, we presented a high-coverage proteome analysis of protein expression and multiple posttranslational modifications (PTMs). Approximately 64.3% of the predicted L. interrogans proteins were cataloged by detecting 2 540 proteins. Meanwhile, a profile of multiple PTMs was concurrently established, containing in total 32 phosphorylated, 46 acetylated and 155 methylated proteins. The PTM systems in the serovar Lai show unique features. Unique eukaryotic-like features of L. interrogans protein modifications were demonstrated in both phosphorylation and arginine methylation. This systematic analysis provides not only comprehensive information of high-coverage protein expression and multiple modifications in prokaryotes but also a view suggesting that the evolutionarily primitive L. interrogans shares significant similarities in protein modification systems with eukaryotes.

文摘Bearing unique redox nature and high oxygen storage capacity,ceria(CeO_(2))has always been a promising CO oxidation catalyst support for gold(Au)catalysts and the like.Herein,a series of Au-CeO_(2)-P(P stands for pH value)samples was prepared by a co-precipitation method with the assistance of an alkaline environment and amino groups functionalized ordered mesoporous polymer(OMP-NH_(2)).Afterward,all samples described above were characterized that the Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts are made of Au-Ce-O solid solution and Au nanoparticles(NPs)supported on CeO_(2).It turns out that OMP-NH_(2) is not just a simple sacrificial template for mesoporous structure,but also plays an important role as an amino source,explaining the presence of rich oxygen vacancies.Due to the concentration of oxygen vacancies in Au-Ce-O solid solution is the key factor for the oxygen mobility of CO oxidation,the catalytic results also demonstrate that the catalytic activity of Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts is related to the concentration of their oxygen vacancies.Moreover,Au-CeO_(2)-9.6 with a highest concentration of oxygen vacancies(as high as 13.98%)in Au-CeO_(2)-P catalysts exhibits the best catalytic activity(complete conversion at 10℃).
文摘Objective: Many studies reported that matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) participated in the development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and resulted in poor prognosis, however, they all included few patients and had inconsistent results. So we conducted a meta-analysis to explore the correlation between overexpression of MMP-9 and the clinicopathological characteristics and overall survival (OS) of ESCC. Methods: PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Google Scholar and other databases were searched for relevant studies. The Newcastle-Ottawa quality assessment scale was used to assess the methodological quality of included study and RevMan 5.2 software was used to conduct meta-analysis. Results: A total of 35 studies were included, and the results of meta-analysis showed that overexpression of MMP-9 was associated with grade of differentiation [well/moderate vs. poor: odds ratio (OR): 0.39, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.29-0.52; P〈0.00001], lymph node metastasis (negative vs. positive: OR: 0.24, 95% CI: 0.16-0.34; P〈0.00001), TNM stage (T1/T2 vs. T3/T4: OR: 0.28, 95% CI: 0.14-0.54; P=0.0002), the depth of invasion (T1/T2 vs. T3/T4: OR: 0.29, 95% CI: 0.17-0.49; P〈0.00001), and vascular invasion of ESCC (negative vs. positive: OR: 0.35, 95% CI: 0.21-0.58; P〈0.0001), and also associated with poor overall survival ofESCC (HR: 2.17, 95% CI: 1.32-3.57; P=0.002). Subgroup analysis showed that more than 10% of carcinoma cell staining was associated with significant increase of mortality risk (HR: 2.44, 95 % CI: 1.16-5.15; P=0.02), and sensitive analysis suggested that MMP-9 was an independent prognostic factor in ESCC (HR: 1.49, 95% CI: 1.16-1.91; P=0.002). Conclusions:On the basis of limited evidence, overexpression of MMP-9 may be a potential independent prognosis factor of ESCC patients in Asia, and high-quality studies assessing the prognostic significance of MMP-9 for ESCC patients are still needed.

文摘A newly discovered Jiaguan Formation(Lower Cretaceous) tracksite from the Linjiang region of Guizhou Province, China, reveals the first example of a Cretaceous track morphotype attributable to the non-avian theropod ichnogenus Gigandipus, here named Gigandipus chiappei ichnosp nov. The theropod dominated locality also reveals the second report of the avian theropod ichnogenus Wupus, one of the largest avian traces currently known from the Lower Cretaceous. The Linjiang site provides evidence to support previous interpretations of a distinctive Lower Cretaceous theropod-dominated ichnofauna that was widespread in China and East Asia and highlights the similarity between Lower Cretaceous theropod ichnotaxa in East Asia and those found in the Lower Jurassic both in East Asia and elsewhere. These similarities in turn create various ichnotaxonomic challenges familiar to researchers working on theropod tracks, and we recommend caution in the naming of new theropod ichnotaxa at the ichnogenus level.

文摘Objective To compare clinical efficacy of three cervical preparations for surgical evacuation in first trimester missed abortion. Methods Two hundred and ten women with early missed abortion were equally randomized into three groups. Three cervical preparations, Dilapan-dilator method (group A, n= 70), mifepristone method (group B, n= 70), and misoprostol method (group C, n= 70), were used 24 h before curettage for terminating missed abortion, respectively. Clinical outcomes and complications for these three methods were compared. Results No differences were found in rates of successful treatment among the three groups (P〉O.05). The incidence of fitting number 8 Hegar dilator was slightly high in group A, but it was not different compared with that in group B or group C (P〉0.05). Bleeding in previous 24 h in group C was significantly greater than that in group A or group B (P〈0.01). The cases of blood loss (〉50 ml) during evacuation in group B were more than those in group A (P〉0.05). Women in group B had less abdominal pain than those in group A or group C (P〈0.01). Side effects in group C were more than those in group A on nausea (P〈0.01), vomiting (P〈0.05), and diarrhea (P〈0.01). Group B had the highest acceptability among the three groups (P〈0.05). Conclusion Three methods have the similar clinical efficacies in cervical ripening for surgical treatment of early missed abortion. Based on individual characteristics, different approach would be chosen to avoid some adverse events and improve the clinical application of Dilapan-dilator.

文摘Lipid remodeling is crucial for cold tolerance in plants.However,the precise alternations of lipidomics during cold responses remain elusive,especially in maize(Zea mays L.).In addition,the key genes responsible for cold tolerance in maize lipid metabolism have not been identified.Here,we integrate lipidomic,transcriptomic,and genetic analysis to determine the profile of lipid remodeling caused by cold stress.We find that the homeostasis of cellular lipid metabolism is essential for maintaining cold tolerance of maize.Also,we detect 210 lipid species belonging to 13 major classes,covering phospholipids,glycerides,glycolipids,and free fatty acids.Various lipid metabolites undergo specific and selective alterations in response to cold stress,especially mono-/di-unsaturated lysophosphatidic acid,lysophosphatidylcholine,phosphatidylcholine,and phosphatidylinositol,as well as polyunsaturated phosphatidic acid,monogalactosyldiacylglycerol,diacylglycerol,and triacylglycerol.In addition,we identify a subset of key enzymes,including ketoacyl-acyl-carrier protein synthase II(KAS II),acyl-carrier protein 2(ACP2),male sterility33(Ms33),and stearoyl-acyl-carrier protein desaturase 2(SAD2)involved in glycerolipid biosynthetic pathways are positive regulators of maize cold tolerance.These results reveal a comprehensive lipidomic profile during the cold response of maize and provide genetic resources for enhancing cold tolerance in crops.
文摘The water extract of dry mycelium ofPenicillium chrysogenum (DME) was used to induce resistance in Virginia tobacco plants against Phtophthora parasitica var. nicotianae. Results showed that the efficacy of DME in controlling black shank disease depended on both DME solution concentration and its' treatment methodology. Soil application of 1.5-5% DME 72 hr before inoculation with Phtophthora parasitica vat. nicotianae provided highly significant protection against black shank, relative to the control without DME treatment. Optimized tobacco plant treatment with 2.5% DME significantly increased peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity levels in the upper leaf sections of the tobacco plants. DME had no direct antifungal activity on the growth of Phtophthora parasitica var. nicotianae in vitro, suggesting that disease control with DME treatment resulted from the induced propagation of natural defense mechanisms in the tobacco plants.

文摘Different types of lightning air terminals have been designed over the years.Concern regarding the effect of different types of air terminals,especially the early streamer emission(ESE)-type,remains controversial.This paper describes the discharge characteristics of different types of air terminals,two of which are quite similar to the ESE-type dynasphere,and concludes that the tested non-standard air terminals have discharge characteristics similar to those of Franklin rods and that their lightning protection performance should be similar.

文摘Soil bulk density(BD) is an important physical property and an essential factor for weight-to-volume conversion. However, BD is often missing from soil databases because its direct measurement is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and sometimes impractical, particularly on a large scale. Therefore, pedotransfer functions(PTFs) have been developed over several decades to predict BD. Here, six previously revised PTFs(including five basic functions and stepwise multiple linear regression(SMLR)) and two new PTFs, partial least squares regression(PLSR) and support vector machine regression(SVMR), were used to develop BD-predicting PTFs for coastal soils in East China. Predictor variables included soil organic carbon(SOC) and particle size distribution(PSD). To compare the robustness and reliability of the PTFs used, the calibration and prediction processes were performed 1 000 times using the calibration and validation sets divided by a random sampling algorithm. The results showed that SOC was the most important predictor, and the revised PTFs performed reasonably although only SOC was included. The PSD data were useful for a better prediction of BD, and sand and clay fractions were the second and third most important properties for predicting BD. Compared to the other PTFs, the PLSR was shown to be slightly better for the study area(the average adjusted coefficient of determination for prediction was 0.581). These results suggest that PLSR with SOC and PSD data can be used to fill in the missing BD data in coastal soil databases and provide important information to estimate coastal carbon storage, which will further improve our understanding of sea-land interactions under the conditions of ongoing global warming.

文摘Traditional seawater desalination requires high amounts of energy, with correspondingly high costs and limited benefits, hindering wider applications of the process. To further improve the comprehensive economic benefits of seawater desalination, the desalination load can be combined with renewable energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, and ocean energy or with the power grid to ensure its effective regulation. Utilizing energy internet(EI) technology, energy balance demand of the regional power grid, and coordinated control between coastal multi-source multi-load and regional distribution network with desalination load is reviewed herein. Several key technologies, including coordinated control of coastal multi-source multi-load system with seawater desalination load, flexible interaction between seawater desalination and regional distribution network, and combined control of coastal multi-source multi-load storage system with seawater desalination load, are discussed in detail. Adoption of the flexible interaction between seawater desalination and regional distribution networks is beneficial for solving water resource problems, improving the ability to dissipate distributed renewable energy, balancing and increasing grid loads, improving the safety and economy of coastal power grids, and achieving coordinated and comprehensive application of power grids, renewable energy sources, and coastal loads.
