This study investigates the impact of Zn alloying on the dispersion of the reinforcing particle in Mg_(2)Sn/Mg composites.In the composite,Zn manifests in three distinct forms:Zn segregation layer between Mg–Mg_(2)Sn...This study investigates the impact of Zn alloying on the dispersion of the reinforcing particle in Mg_(2)Sn/Mg composites.In the composite,Zn manifests in three distinct forms:Zn segregation layer between Mg–Mg_(2)Sn,the solid solution and the MgZn_(2)phase.First-principles calculations confirm that the formation of Zn segregation layer decreases the interfacial energy of the Mg–Mg_(2)Sn.Importantly,this segregation layer significantly enhances the comigration capability of Mg_(2)Sn particles with Mg matrix during sintering flow,effectively hindering the agglomeration and coarsening of the nano-sized reinforcing phase.The dense and uniformly distributed nano-sized Mg_(2)Sn significantly increases the activity of non-basal slip,ensuring good elongation of the composite while enhancing strength.It can be concluded that enhancing the comigration-ability of reinforcing particles with the matrix is an effective strategy for achieving controlled dispersion of high-volume reinforcing particles and an excellent combination of strength and ductility in magnesium matrix composites.展开更多
Rapid cooling and solidification during laser additive manufacturing(LAM)can produce ultra-fine microstructure with higher strength.However,the non-uniform cell/grain structure can easily result in early stress concen...Rapid cooling and solidification during laser additive manufacturing(LAM)can produce ultra-fine microstructure with higher strength.However,the non-uniform cell/grain structure can easily result in early stress concentration and fracture during deformation,which remains a major challenge for the LAM field.Using Al-12Si as the model alloy,we employed the external static magnetic field(SMF)to modulate the laser powder bed fusion process(L-PBF),demonstrating a uniform microstructure with a refined cell structure.The mechanical properties show that the SMF can produce a combination of high tensile strength of 451.4±0.5 MPa and large uniform elongation of 10.4%±0.79%,which are superior to those of previously-reported Al-Si alloys with post-treatment or element alloying.The mechanism analysis based on multi-scale simulation reveals the determining role of SMF in rapid solidification,and this method is applicable to the microstructure control of other metallic materials during LAM.展开更多

Herein, graphene oxide(GO) d...More requirements of electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding performance are put forward for lightweight structural materials due to the development of aerospace and 5G communications. Herein, graphene oxide(GO) decorated with SnO_(2) coating is introduced as reinforcement into AZ31 Mg alloy. During the smelting process, the MgO layer is in situ gernerated at interface between GO and the molten Mg alloy matrix by consuming SnO_(2). In the solid state, such kind of interface structure can improve the GO-Mg interface bonding intensity,also significantly generate stacking faults. The AZ31 composite reinfoced by trace modified GO(0.1 wt%) exhibits high ultimate strength and almost the same elongation with AZ31 alloy. Compared with AZ31 alloy, the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of composite are increased by 33.5% and 23.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, the multi-level electromagnetic reflection from the multi-layer structure of GO and the interface polarization caused by the MgO mid-layer can significantly improve EMI shielding performance. The appropriate interface design strategy achieves the effect of “two birds with one stone”.展开更多

Asymmetric distribution of the basal fibre around swaging direction was observed and being related to the processing parameters. A Moirésystem is formed when two periodic structures have a slightly mismatched period,resulting in unusual strongly correlated states in the presence of particle-particle interactions.The periodic structures can...A Moirésystem is formed when two periodic structures have a slightly mismatched period,resulting in unusual strongly correlated states in the presence of particle-particle interactions.The periodic structures can arise from the intrinsic crystalline order and periodic external field.We investigate a one-dimensional Hubbard model with periodic on-site potential of period n_(0),which is commensurate to the lattice constant.For large n_(0),the exact solution demonstrates that there is a midgap flat band with zero energy in the absence of Hubbard interaction.Each Moiréunit cell contributes two zero energy levels to the flat band.In the presence of Hubbard interaction,the midgap physics is demonstrated to be well described by a uniform Hubbard chain in which the effective hopping and on-site interaction strength can be controlled by the amplitude and period of the external field.Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the correlated behaviors in the finite-sized Moiré Hubbard system,including the existence of an η-pairing state and bound pair oscillation.This finding provides a method to enhance the correlated effect by a spatially periodic external field.展开更多
Based on first-principles calculations and symmetry arguments,we reveal that the non-centrosymmetric ternary tetradymite BiSbTe_(3) possesses exotic dual topological features of Weyl semimetallic phases with Z_(2) ind...Based on first-principles calculations and symmetry arguments,we reveal that the non-centrosymmetric ternary tetradymite BiSbTe_(3) possesses exotic dual topological features of Weyl semimetallic phases with Z_(2) index(1:000).The results show that the helical Dirac-type surface states protected by the time-reversal symmetry are present in the vicinity of the Brillouin zone center,which is consistent with the experimental report.Furthermore,we show that four pairs of Weyl points reside exactly at the Fermi level,which are guaranteed to be located on high-symmetry planes due to mirror symmetries.The helical surface states and the projected Weyl nodes are well separated in the momentum space,facilitating their observations in experiments.This work not only uncovers a unique quantum phenomenon with dual topological features in the tetradymite family but also paves a fascinating avenue for exploring the coexistence of multi-topological states with wide applications.展开更多
In this paper,we report the detection of the very-high-energy(VHE,100 GeV<E<100 TeV)and ultra-high-energy(UHE,E>100 TeV)y-ray emissions from the direction of the young star-forming region W43,observed by the ...In this paper,we report the detection of the very-high-energy(VHE,100 GeV<E<100 TeV)and ultra-high-energy(UHE,E>100 TeV)y-ray emissions from the direction of the young star-forming region W43,observed by the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observation(LHAASO).The extendedγ-ray source was detected with a significance of~16σby KM2A and~17σby WCDA,respectively.The angular extension of this y-ray source is about 0.5 degrees,corresponding to a physical size of about 50pc.We discuss the origin of theγ-ray emission and possible cosmic ray acceleration in the W43 region using multi-wavelength data.Our findings suggest that W43 is likely another young star cluster capable of accelerating cosmic rays(CRs)to at least several hundred TeV.展开更多
We report the detection of an extended very-high-energy(VHE)γ-ray source coincident with the location of middle-aged(62.4 kyr)pulsar PSR J0248+6021,by using the LHAASO-WCDA data of live 796 d and LHAASO-KM2A data of ...We report the detection of an extended very-high-energy(VHE)γ-ray source coincident with the location of middle-aged(62.4 kyr)pulsar PSR J0248+6021,by using the LHAASO-WCDA data of live 796 d and LHAASO-KM2A data of live 1216d.A significant excess of y-ray induced showers is observed both by WCDA in energy bands of 1-25 TeV and KM2A in energy bands of>25 TeV with 7.3σand 13.5σ,respectively.The best-fit position derived through WCDA data is R.A.=42.06°±0.12°and Dec.=60.24°±0.13°with an extension of 0.69°±0.15°and that of the KM2A data is R.A.=42.29°±0.13°and Dec.=60.38°±0.07°with an extension of 0.37°±0.07°.No clear extended multiwavelength counterpart of this LHAASO source has been found from the radio band to the GeV band.The most plausible explanation of the VHEγ-ray emission is the inverse Compton process of highly relativistic electrons and positrons injected by the pulsar.These electrons/positrons are hypothesized to be either confined within the pulsar wind nebula or to have already escaped into the interstellar medium,forming a pulsar halo.展开更多
We report a dedicated study of the newly discovered extended UHEγ-ray source 1LHAASO J0056+6346u.Analyzing 979 d of LHAASO-WCDA data and 1389 d of LHAASO-KM2A data,we observed a significant excess ofγ-ray events wit...We report a dedicated study of the newly discovered extended UHEγ-ray source 1LHAASO J0056+6346u.Analyzing 979 d of LHAASO-WCDA data and 1389 d of LHAASO-KM2A data,we observed a significant excess ofγ-ray events with both WCDA and KM2A.Assuming a point power-law source with a fixed spectral index,the significance maps reveal excesses of 12.65σ,22.18σ,and 10.24σin the energy ranges of 1-25,25-100,and>100 TeV,respectively.We use a 3D likelihood algorithm to derive the morphological and spectral parameters,and the source is detected with significances of 13.72σby WCDA and 25.27σby KM2A.The best-fit positions derived from WCDA and KM2A data are(R.A.=13.96°±0.09°,Decl.=63.92°±0.05°)and(R.A.=14.00°±0.05°,Decl.=63.79°±0.02°),respectively.The angular size(r_(39))of 1LHAASO J0056+6346u is 0.34°±0.04°at 1-25 TeV and 0.24°±0.02°at>25 TeV.The differential flux of this UHEγ-ray source can be described by an exponential cutoff power-law function:(2.67±0.25)×10^(-15)(E/20 TeV)^((-1.97±0.10))e^(-E/(55.1±7.2)TeV)TeV^(-1)cm^(-2)s^(-1).To explore potential sources ofγ-ray emission,we investigated the gas distribution around 1LHAASO J0056+6346u.1LHAASO J0056+6346u is likely to be a TeV PWN powered by an unknown pulsar,which would naturally explain both its spatial and spectral properties.Another explanation is that this UHEγ-ray source might be associated with gas content illuminated by a nearby CR accelerator,possibly the SNR candidate G124.0+1.4.展开更多
We report the high-purity identification of cosmic-ray(CR)protons and a precise measurement of their energy spectrum from 0.15 to 12 PeV using the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO).Abundant event stat...We report the high-purity identification of cosmic-ray(CR)protons and a precise measurement of their energy spectrum from 0.15 to 12 PeV using the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO).Abundant event statistics,combined with the simultaneous detection of electrons/photons,muons,and Cherenkov light in air showers,enable spectroscopic measurements with statistical and systematic precision comparable to satellite data at lower energies.The proton spectrum shows significant hardening relative to low-energy extrapolations,culminating at 3 PeV,followed by sharp softening.This distinct spectral structure closely aligned with the knee in the all-particle spectrum points to the emergence of a new CR component at PeV energies that might be linked to the dozens of PeVatrons recently discovered by LHAASO,and offers crucial clues to the origin of Galactic cosmic rays.展开更多
The ultra-high-energy(UHE)gamma-ray source 1LHAASO J0007+7303u is positionally associated with the composite SNR CTA1 that is located at high Galactic Latitude b≈10.5°.This provides a rare opportunity to spatial...The ultra-high-energy(UHE)gamma-ray source 1LHAASO J0007+7303u is positionally associated with the composite SNR CTA1 that is located at high Galactic Latitude b≈10.5°.This provides a rare opportunity to spatially resolve the component of the pulsar wind nebula(PWN)and supernova remnant(SNR)at UHE.This paper conducted a dedicated data analysis of 1LHAASO J0007+7303u using the data collected from December 2019 to July 2023.This source is well detected with significances of 21σand 17σat 8-100 TeV and>100 TeV,respectively.The corresponding extensions are determined to be 0.23°±0.03°and 0.17°±0.03°.The emission is proposed to originate from the relativistic electrons accelerated within the PWN of PSR J0007+7303.The energy spectrum is well described by a power-law with an exponential cutoff function dN/dE=(42.4±4.1)(E/20TeV)^(-2.31+0.11)exp(-E/(110±25Tev))TeV-1 cm^(-2)s^(-1)in the energy range from 8 to 300 TeV,implying a steady-state parent electron spectrum dN_(e)/dE_(e)∝(E_(e)/100TeV)^(-3.13±0.16)exp[(-E_(e)/(373±70TeV))^(2)]at energies above≈50 TeV.The cutoff energy of the electron spectrum is roughly equal to the expected current maximum energy of particles accelerated at the PWN terminal shock.Combining the X-ray and gamma-ray emission,the current space-averaged magnetic field can be limited to≈4.5μG.To satisfy the multi-wavelength spectrum and the y-ray extensions,the transport of relativistic particles within the PWN is likely dominated by the advection process under the free-expansion phase assumption.展开更多

First evidence of a structure in the J/ψΛinvariant mass distribution is obtained from an amplitude analysis of■b^(-)J/ψΛK^(-)decays.The observed structure is consistent with being due to a charmonium pentaquark w...First evidence of a structure in the J/ψΛinvariant mass distribution is obtained from an amplitude analysis of■b^(-)J/ψΛK^(-)decays.The observed structure is consistent with being due to a charmonium pentaquark with strangeness with a significance of 3.1r including systematic uncertainties and lookelsewhere effect.Its mass and width are determined to be 4458:8±2:9t4:7-1:1 MeV and 17:3±6:5t8:0-5:7 MeV,respectively,where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic.The structure is also consistent with being due to two resonances.In addition,the narrow excited■^(-)states,N■(1690)and■(1820),are seen for the first time in a■b^(-)decay,and their masses and widths are measured with improved precision.The analysis is performed using pp collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^(-1),collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7,8 and 13 TeV.展开更多
Introduction One of main scientific goals of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO)is to accurately measure the energy spectra of different cosmic ray compositions around the‘knee’region.The Wide Fiel...Introduction One of main scientific goals of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO)is to accurately measure the energy spectra of different cosmic ray compositions around the‘knee’region.The Wide Field-of-View(FoV)Cherenkov Telescope Array(WFCTA),which is one of the main detectors of LHAASO and has 18 telescopes,is built to achieve this goal.Multiple telescopes are put together and point to connected directions for a larger FoV.Method Telescopes are deployed spatially as close as possible,but due to their own size,the distance between two adjacent telescopes is about 10 m.Therefore,the Cherenkov lateral distribution and the parallax between the two telescopes should be considered in the event building process for images crossing over the boundaries of FoVs of the telescopes.An event building method for Cherenkov images measured by multiple telescopes of WFCTA is developed.The performance of the shower measurements using the combined images is evaluated by comparing with showers that are fully contained by a virtual telescope in simulation.Results and conclusion It is proved that the developed event building process can help to increase the FoV of WFCTA by 30%while maintaining the same reconstruction quality,compared to the separate telescope reconstruction method.展开更多
A first search for the Ξ_(bc)^(+)J/ψΞ_(c)^(+) decay is performed by the LHCb experiment with a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1 recorded at centre-of-mass...A first search for the Ξ_(bc)^(+)J/ψΞ_(c)^(+) decay is performed by the LHCb experiment with a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1 recorded at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Two peaking structures are seen with a local (global) significance of 4.3(2.8) and 4.1(2.4) standard deviations at masses of 6571 and 6694 MeV/c2, respectively. Upper limits are set on the Ξ+bc baryon production cross-section times the branching fraction relative to that of the B+c→J/ψD+s decay at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV, in the Ξ+bc and in the B+c rapidity and transverse-momentum ranges from 2.0 to 4.5 and 0 to 20GeV/c, respectively. Upper limits are presented as a function of the Ξ+bc mass and lifetime.展开更多
The first search for the doubly heavyΩ^(0)_(bc)baryon and a search for the E^(0)_(bc)baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 T...The first search for the doubly heavyΩ^(0)_(bc)baryon and a search for the E^(0)_(bc)baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb^(-1).The baryons are reconstructed via their decays to Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)and E^(+)_(c)π^(-).No significant excess is fbund for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 MeV/c^(2),in a rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 MeV/c.Upper limits are set on the ratio of the Ω^(0)_(bc)and E^(0)_(bc)production cross-section times the branching fraction to Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(+)_(c)π^(-))relative to that of the Λ^(0)_(b)(E^(0)_(b))baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95%confidence level.The upper limits range from 0.5 x 10^(-4)to 2.5 x 10^(-4)for theΩ^(0)_(bc)→Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(0)_(bc)→Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-))decay,and from 1.4x 10^(-3)to 6.9 x 10^(-3)for theΩ^(0)_(bc)→E^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(0)_(bc)→E^(+)_(c)π^(-))decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of theΩ^(0)_(bc)(E^(0)_(bc))baryon.展开更多

文摘A Moirésystem is formed when two periodic structures have a slightly mismatched period,resulting in unusual strongly correlated states in the presence of particle-particle interactions.The periodic structures can arise from the intrinsic crystalline order and periodic external field.We investigate a one-dimensional Hubbard model with periodic on-site potential of period n_(0),which is commensurate to the lattice constant.For large n_(0),the exact solution demonstrates that there is a midgap flat band with zero energy in the absence of Hubbard interaction.Each Moiréunit cell contributes two zero energy levels to the flat band.In the presence of Hubbard interaction,the midgap physics is demonstrated to be well described by a uniform Hubbard chain in which the effective hopping and on-site interaction strength can be controlled by the amplitude and period of the external field.Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the correlated behaviors in the finite-sized Moiré Hubbard system,including the existence of an η-pairing state and bound pair oscillation.This finding provides a method to enhance the correlated effect by a spatially periodic external field.

文摘Based on first-principles calculations and symmetry arguments,we reveal that the non-centrosymmetric ternary tetradymite BiSbTe_(3) possesses exotic dual topological features of Weyl semimetallic phases with Z_(2) index(1:000).The results show that the helical Dirac-type surface states protected by the time-reversal symmetry are present in the vicinity of the Brillouin zone center,which is consistent with the experimental report.Furthermore,we show that four pairs of Weyl points reside exactly at the Fermi level,which are guaranteed to be located on high-symmetry planes due to mirror symmetries.The helical surface states and the projected Weyl nodes are well separated in the momentum space,facilitating their observations in experiments.This work not only uncovers a unique quantum phenomenon with dual topological features in the tetradymite family but also paves a fascinating avenue for exploring the coexistence of multi-topological states with wide applications.

文摘In this paper,we report the detection of the very-high-energy(VHE,100 GeV<E<100 TeV)and ultra-high-energy(UHE,E>100 TeV)y-ray emissions from the direction of the young star-forming region W43,observed by the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observation(LHAASO).The extendedγ-ray source was detected with a significance of~16σby KM2A and~17σby WCDA,respectively.The angular extension of this y-ray source is about 0.5 degrees,corresponding to a physical size of about 50pc.We discuss the origin of theγ-ray emission and possible cosmic ray acceleration in the W43 region using multi-wavelength data.Our findings suggest that W43 is likely another young star cluster capable of accelerating cosmic rays(CRs)to at least several hundred TeV.

文摘We report the detection of an extended very-high-energy(VHE)γ-ray source coincident with the location of middle-aged(62.4 kyr)pulsar PSR J0248+6021,by using the LHAASO-WCDA data of live 796 d and LHAASO-KM2A data of live 1216d.A significant excess of y-ray induced showers is observed both by WCDA in energy bands of 1-25 TeV and KM2A in energy bands of>25 TeV with 7.3σand 13.5σ,respectively.The best-fit position derived through WCDA data is R.A.=42.06°±0.12°and Dec.=60.24°±0.13°with an extension of 0.69°±0.15°and that of the KM2A data is R.A.=42.29°±0.13°and Dec.=60.38°±0.07°with an extension of 0.37°±0.07°.No clear extended multiwavelength counterpart of this LHAASO source has been found from the radio band to the GeV band.The most plausible explanation of the VHEγ-ray emission is the inverse Compton process of highly relativistic electrons and positrons injected by the pulsar.These electrons/positrons are hypothesized to be either confined within the pulsar wind nebula or to have already escaped into the interstellar medium,forming a pulsar halo.

文摘We report a dedicated study of the newly discovered extended UHEγ-ray source 1LHAASO J0056+6346u.Analyzing 979 d of LHAASO-WCDA data and 1389 d of LHAASO-KM2A data,we observed a significant excess ofγ-ray events with both WCDA and KM2A.Assuming a point power-law source with a fixed spectral index,the significance maps reveal excesses of 12.65σ,22.18σ,and 10.24σin the energy ranges of 1-25,25-100,and>100 TeV,respectively.We use a 3D likelihood algorithm to derive the morphological and spectral parameters,and the source is detected with significances of 13.72σby WCDA and 25.27σby KM2A.The best-fit positions derived from WCDA and KM2A data are(R.A.=13.96°±0.09°,Decl.=63.92°±0.05°)and(R.A.=14.00°±0.05°,Decl.=63.79°±0.02°),respectively.The angular size(r_(39))of 1LHAASO J0056+6346u is 0.34°±0.04°at 1-25 TeV and 0.24°±0.02°at>25 TeV.The differential flux of this UHEγ-ray source can be described by an exponential cutoff power-law function:(2.67±0.25)×10^(-15)(E/20 TeV)^((-1.97±0.10))e^(-E/(55.1±7.2)TeV)TeV^(-1)cm^(-2)s^(-1).To explore potential sources ofγ-ray emission,we investigated the gas distribution around 1LHAASO J0056+6346u.1LHAASO J0056+6346u is likely to be a TeV PWN powered by an unknown pulsar,which would naturally explain both its spatial and spectral properties.Another explanation is that this UHEγ-ray source might be associated with gas content illuminated by a nearby CR accelerator,possibly the SNR candidate G124.0+1.4.

文摘We report the high-purity identification of cosmic-ray(CR)protons and a precise measurement of their energy spectrum from 0.15 to 12 PeV using the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO).Abundant event statistics,combined with the simultaneous detection of electrons/photons,muons,and Cherenkov light in air showers,enable spectroscopic measurements with statistical and systematic precision comparable to satellite data at lower energies.The proton spectrum shows significant hardening relative to low-energy extrapolations,culminating at 3 PeV,followed by sharp softening.This distinct spectral structure closely aligned with the knee in the all-particle spectrum points to the emergence of a new CR component at PeV energies that might be linked to the dozens of PeVatrons recently discovered by LHAASO,and offers crucial clues to the origin of Galactic cosmic rays.

文摘The ultra-high-energy(UHE)gamma-ray source 1LHAASO J0007+7303u is positionally associated with the composite SNR CTA1 that is located at high Galactic Latitude b≈10.5°.This provides a rare opportunity to spatially resolve the component of the pulsar wind nebula(PWN)and supernova remnant(SNR)at UHE.This paper conducted a dedicated data analysis of 1LHAASO J0007+7303u using the data collected from December 2019 to July 2023.This source is well detected with significances of 21σand 17σat 8-100 TeV and>100 TeV,respectively.The corresponding extensions are determined to be 0.23°±0.03°and 0.17°±0.03°.The emission is proposed to originate from the relativistic electrons accelerated within the PWN of PSR J0007+7303.The energy spectrum is well described by a power-law with an exponential cutoff function dN/dE=(42.4±4.1)(E/20TeV)^(-2.31+0.11)exp(-E/(110±25Tev))TeV-1 cm^(-2)s^(-1)in the energy range from 8 to 300 TeV,implying a steady-state parent electron spectrum dN_(e)/dE_(e)∝(E_(e)/100TeV)^(-3.13±0.16)exp[(-E_(e)/(373±70TeV))^(2)]at energies above≈50 TeV.The cutoff energy of the electron spectrum is roughly equal to the expected current maximum energy of particles accelerated at the PWN terminal shock.Combining the X-ray and gamma-ray emission,the current space-averaged magnetic field can be limited to≈4.5μG.To satisfy the multi-wavelength spectrum and the y-ray extensions,the transport of relativistic particles within the PWN is likely dominated by the advection process under the free-expansion phase assumption.

文摘The superτ-charm facility(STCF)is an electron–positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community.It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of 0.5×10^(35) cm^(–2)·s^(–1) or higher.The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that of the presentτ-charm factory—the BEPCII,providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter(charge-parity violation),in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions,as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model.The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R&D program.This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF,describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system,and discusses future plans for detector R&D and physics case studies.
文摘First evidence of a structure in the J/ψΛinvariant mass distribution is obtained from an amplitude analysis of■b^(-)J/ψΛK^(-)decays.The observed structure is consistent with being due to a charmonium pentaquark with strangeness with a significance of 3.1r including systematic uncertainties and lookelsewhere effect.Its mass and width are determined to be 4458:8±2:9t4:7-1:1 MeV and 17:3±6:5t8:0-5:7 MeV,respectively,where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic.The structure is also consistent with being due to two resonances.In addition,the narrow excited■^(-)states,N■(1690)and■(1820),are seen for the first time in a■b^(-)decay,and their masses and widths are measured with improved precision.The analysis is performed using pp collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^(-1),collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7,8 and 13 TeV.

文摘Introduction One of main scientific goals of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO)is to accurately measure the energy spectra of different cosmic ray compositions around the‘knee’region.The Wide Field-of-View(FoV)Cherenkov Telescope Array(WFCTA),which is one of the main detectors of LHAASO and has 18 telescopes,is built to achieve this goal.Multiple telescopes are put together and point to connected directions for a larger FoV.Method Telescopes are deployed spatially as close as possible,but due to their own size,the distance between two adjacent telescopes is about 10 m.Therefore,the Cherenkov lateral distribution and the parallax between the two telescopes should be considered in the event building process for images crossing over the boundaries of FoVs of the telescopes.An event building method for Cherenkov images measured by multiple telescopes of WFCTA is developed.The performance of the shower measurements using the combined images is evaluated by comparing with showers that are fully contained by a virtual telescope in simulation.Results and conclusion It is proved that the developed event building process can help to increase the FoV of WFCTA by 30%while maintaining the same reconstruction quality,compared to the separate telescope reconstruction method.

文摘A first search for the Ξ_(bc)^(+)J/ψΞ_(c)^(+) decay is performed by the LHCb experiment with a data sample of proton-proton collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1 recorded at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Two peaking structures are seen with a local (global) significance of 4.3(2.8) and 4.1(2.4) standard deviations at masses of 6571 and 6694 MeV/c2, respectively. Upper limits are set on the Ξ+bc baryon production cross-section times the branching fraction relative to that of the B+c→J/ψD+s decay at centre-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV, in the Ξ+bc and in the B+c rapidity and transverse-momentum ranges from 2.0 to 4.5 and 0 to 20GeV/c, respectively. Upper limits are presented as a function of the Ξ+bc mass and lifetime.

文摘The first search for the doubly heavyΩ^(0)_(bc)baryon and a search for the E^(0)_(bc)baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 fb^(-1).The baryons are reconstructed via their decays to Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)and E^(+)_(c)π^(-).No significant excess is fbund for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 MeV/c^(2),in a rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 MeV/c.Upper limits are set on the ratio of the Ω^(0)_(bc)and E^(0)_(bc)production cross-section times the branching fraction to Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(+)_(c)π^(-))relative to that of the Λ^(0)_(b)(E^(0)_(b))baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95%confidence level.The upper limits range from 0.5 x 10^(-4)to 2.5 x 10^(-4)for theΩ^(0)_(bc)→Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(0)_(bc)→Λ^(+)_(c)π^(-))decay,and from 1.4x 10^(-3)to 6.9 x 10^(-3)for theΩ^(0)_(bc)→E^(+)_(c)π^(-)(E^(0)_(bc)→E^(+)_(c)π^(-))decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of theΩ^(0)_(bc)(E^(0)_(bc))baryon.
