In this study,the mechanical properties and damping capacities of cast Mg-5.5 Zn-0.6 Zr(weight percent,ZK60)alloys have been simultaneously improved by a facile multi-directional forging(MDF)processing,and the mechanisms of microstructure evolution and texture modification are systematically investigated.The activation of tension twinning occurs during the initial MDF stage,due to the coarse-grained structure of the as-cast alloy.With increasing MDF passes,the continuous dynamic recrystallization(CDRX)results in a fine equiaxed-grain structure.The typical non-basal texture is formed in the as-MDFed alloy for 6 passes,with the(0001)planes inclined 60°–70°to forged direction and 10°–20°to transverse direction,respectively.A good balance between the strength(~194.9 MPa)and ductility(~24.9%)has been achieved,which can be ascribed to the grain refinement,non-basal texture and fine precipitate particles.The damping capacity is remarkably improved after MDF processing,because the severe deformation increases the dislocation density,which effectively enlarges the sweep areas of mobile dislocations. 展开更多

The paper deals with different plastic deformation behavior of electroformed copper liner of shaped charge, deformed at high strain rate (about 1×107s-1) and normal strain rate (4×10-4s-1). The crystallographic orientation distribution of grains in recovered slugs which had undergone high-strain-rate plastic deformation during explosive detonation was investigated by electron backscattering Kikuchi pattern technique. Cellular structures formed by tangled dislocations and sub-grain boundaries consisting of dislocation arrays were detected in the recovered slugs. Some twins and slip dislocations were observed in specimen deformed at normal strain rate. It was found that dynamic recovery and recrystallization take place during high-strain-rate deformation due to the temperature rising, whereas the conventional slip mechanism operates during deformation at normal strain rate. 展开更多

We develop a mathematical model to describe the flow in a microchannel driven by the upper stretching wall of the channel in the presence of electrokinetic effects. In this model, we avoid imposing any unphysical boundary condition, for instance, the zero electrostatic potential in the middle of the channel. Using the similarity transformation, we employ the homotopy analysis method (HAM) to get the analytical solution of the model. In our approach, the unknown pressure constant and the integral constant related to the electric potential are solved spontaneously by using the proper boundary conditions on the channel walls, which makes our model consistent with the commonly accepted models in the field of fluid mechanics. It is expected that our model can offer a general and proper way to study the flow phenomena in microchannels. 展开更多
