A joint field workshop of International Geoscience Programme (IGCP) project 473 (GIS Metallogeny of Central Asia) and project 486 (Gold-Telluride Deposits) was held between April 22nd and 30th in Tashkent, Uzbek...A joint field workshop of International Geoscience Programme (IGCP) project 473 (GIS Metallogeny of Central Asia) and project 486 (Gold-Telluride Deposits) was held between April 22nd and 30th in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A two-day scientific programme in Tashkent was followed by excursions to porphyry and epithermal deposits of the Kurama metallogenic zone, the southwestern portion of the Chatkal-Kurama Region. Forty participants from 11 countries (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, United Kingdom, Norway, Romania, Canada, Australia, Ukraine, China) attended the workshop. Besides academic researchers, the participants included several students from the National University of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives from industry currently active in Central Asia.展开更多
