Recent advances in artificial intelligence and the availability of large-scale benchmarks have made deepfake video generation and manipulation easier.Therefore,developing reliable and robust deepfake video detection m...Recent advances in artificial intelligence and the availability of large-scale benchmarks have made deepfake video generation and manipulation easier.Therefore,developing reliable and robust deepfake video detection mechanisms is paramount.This research introduces a novel real-time deepfake video detection framework by analyzing gaze and blink patterns,addressing the spatial-temporal challenges unique to gaze and blink anomalies using the TimeSformer and hybrid Transformer-CNN models.The TimeSformer architecture leverages spatial-temporal attention mechanisms to capture fine-grained blinking intervals and gaze direction anomalies.Compared to state-of-the-art traditional convolutional models like MesoNet and EfficientNet,which primarily focus on global facial features,our approach emphasizes localized eye-region analysis,significantly enhancing detection accuracy.We evaluate our framework on four standard datasets:FaceForensics,CelebDF-V2,DFDC,and FakeAVCeleb.The proposed framework results reveal higher accuracy,with the TimeSformer model achieving accuracies of 97.5%,96.3%,95.8%,and 97.1%,and with the hybrid Transformer-CNN model demonstrating accuracies of 92.8%,91.5%,90.9%,and 93.2%,on FaceForensics,CelebDF-V2,DFDC,and FakeAVCeleb datasets,respectively,showing robustness in distinguishing manipulated from authentic videos.Our research provides a robust state-of-the-art framework for real-time deepfake video detection.This novel study significantly contributes to video forensics,presenting scalable and accurate real-world application solutions.展开更多
The polycrystalline GdCrO_(3)(GCO)perovskite orthochromite was synthesized by the sol-gel auto-combustion method.The Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction(XRD)profile of GCO confirms that the orthorhombic phase crystalli...The polycrystalline GdCrO_(3)(GCO)perovskite orthochromite was synthesized by the sol-gel auto-combustion method.The Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction(XRD)profile of GCO confirms that the orthorhombic phase crystallizes in perovskite crystal structure with space group Pbnm.The transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction divulge the polycrystalline nature of the perovskite chromite.The field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)images reveal the microstructural polyhedral growth of grains separated by sharp grain boundaries.The chemical states of the ions present in the compound were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)studies,and the electrical pathways were identified.Complex impedance studies were carried out in the experimental frequency and temperature ranges of 40 Hz-4 MHz and 178-408 K,respectively.The equivalent circuit model(RGQG)(RGBQGB)resolves the impedance response into two contributions originating from the intra-grain and inter-granular micro-constituents of the material.The electrical conduction mechanism is based on the Mott variable range hopping model.The complex electric modulus studies demonstrate the short-and long-range mobility of the charge carriers and rule out the presence of electrode effects on the dielectric relaxation mechanism of the material.The decreasing pattern of dielectric permittivity with frequency is explained by the Maxwell-Wagner type of polarization.The frequency dependence of the loss factor exhibits the presence of thermally activated relaxation time distribution in the material.展开更多
Objective:To study organisms in cases of early neonatal sepsis,and sensitivity patterns of these isolates.Methods:All pregnant mothers admitted from Jan 2006-Dec 2006 were registered.Neonates delivered at the hospital...Objective:To study organisms in cases of early neonatal sepsis,and sensitivity patterns of these isolates.Methods:All pregnant mothers admitted from Jan 2006-Dec 2006 were registered.Neonates delivered at the hospital were examined upto 72 hours of birth,with special emphasis on the signs and symptoms of suspected sepsis.Neonates with no maternal or neonatal risk factor were included in the study,blood examination and appropriate cultures were taken.Antibiotics as cephatexime and amikacin were started on empirical bases until final cultures report was received.In cases of negative cultures,antibiotics were stopped.Other wise it continued according to culture and sensitivity for 10 to 14 days.Results:Among these 257 cases,113 neonates full filled our criteria.Staph aureus being the commonest organism in our study(59.29%)followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae(19.47%)and Entrococci(19.47%).These findings are not consistent with other studies in the country.Conclusion:Neonatal sepsis is a major cause of mortality and morbidity.Choice of antibiotic should depend on the local studies from time to time.展开更多
Novel coronavirus,SARS-CoV-2 is responsible for causing a pandemic that has affected individuals worldwide,over 192 million people and about 4.1 million people died so far.The spread is ongoing and the numbers are sti...Novel coronavirus,SARS-CoV-2 is responsible for causing a pandemic that has affected individuals worldwide,over 192 million people and about 4.1 million people died so far.The spread is ongoing and the numbers are still increasing.Numerous therapeutic approaches have been explored and developed during this pandemic.Immunotherapy with virus-specific antibodies in convalescent plasma(CP)has shown potential benefits for various pathogenic diseases.In many instances,it is the only available and safe management option for the COVID-19 patients.Here we describe two confirmed cases of COVID-19 from two different geographical areas that were managed with standard treatment modalities initially.Both of the patients were presented with high-grade fever,dry cough,and sore throat.Lab reports showed increased values of D-dimer,serum ferritin,leukocyte count(LC),Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),and C-reactive protein(CRP).Chest X-ray showed bilateral infiltration(multifocal and bilateral ground-glass opacities and consolidations with peripheral and basal predominance),consistent with the previous reports on COVID-19 infection.The patients received conservative treatment according to the hospital's protocol.The convalescent plasma(from recovered patients)infusion was the last treatment given to both patients.After the convalescent plasma transfusion,both patients showed a reduction of viral load,an increase of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG and IgM antibodies,reduction in lung infiltration,with no adverse events.However,further randomized controlled trials are needed to investigate the full scope of safety and efficacy(both short and long-term)of convalescent plasma therapy for COVID-19 and other related infections.展开更多
