Accurate and real-time road defect detection is essential for ensuring traffic safety and infrastructure maintenance.However,existing vision-based methods often struggle with small,sparse,and low-resolution defects under complex road conditions.To address these limitations,we propose Multi-Scale Guided Detection YOLO(MGD-YOLO),a novel lightweight and high-performance object detector built upon You Only Look Once Version 5(YOLOv5).The proposed model integrates three key components:(1)a Multi-Scale Dilated Attention(MSDA)module to enhance semantic feature extraction across varying receptive fields;(2)Depthwise Separable Convolution(DSC)to reduce computational cost and improve model generalization;and(3)a Visual Global Attention Upsampling(VGAU)module that leverages high-level contextual information to refine low-level features for precise localization.Extensive experiments on three public road defect benchmarks demonstrate that MGD-YOLO outperforms state-of-the-art models in both detection accuracy and efficiency.Notably,our model achieves 87.9%accuracy in crack detection,88.3%overall precision on TD-RD dataset,while maintaining fast inference speed and a compact architecture.These results highlight the potential of MGD-YOLO for deployment in real-time,resource-constrained scenarios,paving the way for practical and scalable intelligent road maintenance systems. 展开更多

Controlled growth of patterned single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) is an important issue in many applications. Herein, we demonstrated a method to pattern catalyst via inkjet printing for the growth of SWNTs, using metal salt solutions as the inks and an ordinary office-use printer. We printed water solutions of cobalt acetate on hydrophilic Si substrates and grew high quality SWNT films. The composition of the precursor solutions and the hydrophilicity of the substrates were crucial factors to the patterning. 展开更多

This study introduces an innovative theoretical model critical for predicting stress and strain distributions in Ti/Al bi-metal sheet production and its subsequent deep drawing process.Grounded in extensive mechanical and geometric analysis,the model facilitates manufacturing process optimization and the production of high-quality components.Finite Element Method(FEM)simulations are integrated to examine the significant effects of die geometric parameters on metal flow dynamics and susceptibility to material stress.The model's precision is enhanced by incorporating anisotropic material properties and cohesive zone models.A rigorous experimental framework validates the model,highlighting the practical utility of optimized parameters in Ti/Al bimetal component fabrication.Additionally,uniaxial tensile tests using the Video Image Correlation-3D(VIC-3D)system provide detailed insights into material deformation,elucidating stress distribution and metal flow in composite layers.Thus,the research presents a refined methodology for the efficient production of Ti/Al bi-metal components,offering valuable knowledge transferable to various materials and processing scenarios.The findings of this work are expected to make a significant impact on material engineering and mechanical manufacturing. 展开更多

A well-known fact about mandarin fish(Siniperca chuatsi)is that females grow faster than males.Mandarin fish that have all-female populations have economic advantages,but traditional neo-male fish are difficult to produce.In this study,indirect feeding of 500 mg/kg 17α-methyltestosterone(MT)to XX mandarin fish(60 dpf,days post fertilization)with completely differentiated ovaries induced secondary sex reversal.At 40 days after MT treatment,14.7%of mandarin fish with complete reversal was produced,which showed for the first time that XX mandarin fishes with differentiated ovaries still have potentially bisexual germ cells and the plasticity of sex reversal.In the MT treatment group,there was no significant difference in survival compared to the control group.The body weight of the MT treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group 40 days after treatment(dat)(P<0.05).During MT treatment,serum 11-KT and T concentrations increased and serum E2 concentration decreased in the MT treatment group,but there was no significant difference in hormone levels between the MT treatment group and the control group.A masculinization of mandarin fish was also confirmed by the expression patterns of sex-specific genes sox9,dmrt1,cyp19a1a and foxl2.A significant amount of sox9 and dmrt1 was expressed in the fish gonads of the MT treatment group,whereas cyp19a1a and foxl2 were minimally expressed in the fish gonads. 展开更多
