BACKGROUND Low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms are papillary or flat mucinous tumors with low-grade cytologic atypia.They are the most frequent source of pseudomyxoma peritonei.They can be easily misdiagnosed,due...BACKGROUND Low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms are papillary or flat mucinous tumors with low-grade cytologic atypia.They are the most frequent source of pseudomyxoma peritonei.They can be easily misdiagnosed,due to unspecific symptoms,with acute appendicitis,retroperitoneal tumors or adnexal mass.Cases of huge appendiceal mucinous neoplasms are even more extremely rare.CASE SUMMARY We report a 54-year-old patient who presented with a 10-month history of constant dull distension accompanied by nausea.A surgical procedure of total hysterectomy,bilateral adnexectomy,appendectomy,greater omentectomy and right hemicolectomy was performed as a result of the findings on ultrasound,computed tomography scan and magnetic resonance imaging.Diagnosis was made after the pathological examination,which revealed low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm.The patient received hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy with cisplatin and was discharged from the hospital.CONCLUSION Low-grade appendiceal mucinous adenomas are rare tumors that are easily misdiagnosed,and a more thorough clinical workup is required to make a defi-nitive diagnosis.展开更多
BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent among university students worldwide,often coexisting with functional constipation(FC).Family relationships have been identified as crucial factors affecting mental healt...BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent among university students worldwide,often coexisting with functional constipation(FC).Family relationships have been identified as crucial factors affecting mental health,yet the gender-specific associations between these conditions remain underexplored.AIM To assess prevalence of depressive symptoms,anxiety symptoms,and FC among Chinese university students and explore their associations.METHODS Using a cross-sectional survey design,data were collected from 12721 students at two universities in Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province.Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9,anxiety symptoms using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale,and FC using the ROME IV.Gender-stratified analyses and population attributable risk proportions were calculated to evaluate risk factor patterns and population impact.RESULTS The prevalence of self-reported depressive,anxiety,and comorbid depressive and anxiety symptoms was 16.3%,24.9%,and 13.3%,respectively,whereas that of FC was 22%.Students with depressive symptoms were 1.811 times more likely to have FC than those without.Female gender,parental relationships,and lower household income were significant risk factors for both mental health conditions.For depressive symptoms,females experienced stronger effects from both parental conflict[odds ratio(OR)=8.006 vs OR=7.661 in males]and FC(OR=1.954 vs OR=1.628 in males).For anxiety symptoms,conflicted parental relationships had stronger effects in males(OR=5.946)than females(OR=4.262).Overall,poor parental relationships contributed to 38.6%of depressive and 33.5%of anxiety symptoms.CONCLUSION Family relationships significantly impact student mental health,with gender-specific patterns.Targeted interventions addressing family dynamics could reduce mental health burden in university settings.展开更多

This paper studies a dual-channel green supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one retailer in presence of government green subsidy and cap-and-trade regulation policies.We first develop and analyze a single-...This paper studies a dual-channel green supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one retailer in presence of government green subsidy and cap-and-trade regulation policies.We first develop and analyze a single-period Stackelberg and a multi-period dynamic Stackelberg game models respectively with consistent pricing strategy.Subsequently,we extend these two game models by utilizing an inconsistent pricing strategy.The optimal solutions for the single-period Stackelberg game models in both scenarios are derived by means of the backward induction approach.Moreover,the existence and local asymptotic stability of the equilibrium points of the multi-period dynamic Stackelberg game models are examined,and the complex dynamics of chain members'long-term strategy evolution are investigated through chaos theory and numerical simulation.Additionally,the variable feedback control and time-delay feedback control method are utilized to eliminate system chaos respectively.The results indicate that(i)The excessive fast adjustment speeds by the manufacturer have a destabilizing effect on the stability of the Nash equilibrium point.(ii)The manufacturer's profits are improved with green subsidy degree increases,while its impact on the retailer's profits depends on certain parameter conditions,and the high carbon trading price is disadvantage to both chain members.(iii)The system's motion can transition from a steady state to a chaotic period through period-doubling or Neimark–Sacker bifurcations.(iv)The system's steady state is conducive to the manufacturer,while the retailer can benefit from the system's periodic cycles.Furthermore,both chain members'profits are declined when the system becomes chaotic.Lastly,the variable feedback and time-delay feedback control method can effectively eliminate system chaos.展开更多
Catalytic oxidation plays a crucial role in chemical industry,in which the utilization of abundant and environmental-friendly oxygen(O_(2))as oxidant aligns with sustainable development principles in green chemistry.H...Catalytic oxidation plays a crucial role in chemical industry,in which the utilization of abundant and environmental-friendly oxygen(O_(2))as oxidant aligns with sustainable development principles in green chemistry.However,the intrinsic inertness of ground-state O_(2) molecule poses a long-standing challenge in developing an efficient non-noble metal-based catalyst.Herein,inspired by the electron transfer process in respiratory chain,we engineered long-range N_(V) to mediate Fe_(1) center for O_(2) activation in aerobic oxidation.Combined in/quasi-situ spectroscopic characterizations and control experiments suggest the Fe_(1) site efficiently adsorbs O_(2),and the N_(V) site facilitates electron delocalization to adjacent Fe_(1),providing efficient transformation of O_(2) to reactive oxygen species that boost oxidation reactions mildly.This Fe_(1)--N_(V) single-atom catalyst demonstrates outstanding catalytic performance in aerobic oxidations of alkanes,N-heterocycles,alcohols,and amines under relatively mild conditions.Our findings offer a new perspective for designing high-efficiency heterogeneous catalysts in aerobic oxidations,promising various potential applications.展开更多
The zinc indium sulfide(ZnIn_(2)S_(4))semiconductors have garnered significant interest in photocatalysis due to their environmentally friendly characteristics,appropriate bandgap,and high absorption coefficient.Howev...The zinc indium sulfide(ZnIn_(2)S_(4))semiconductors have garnered significant interest in photocatalysis due to their environmentally friendly characteristics,appropriate bandgap,and high absorption coefficient.However,the exploration of advanced strategies to realize the effective and tailored doping still poses significant challenges in enhancing hydrogen evolution performance.In this work,a mild cation exchange strategy is reported to incorporate Ag cations into flower-like ZnIn_(2)S_(4) microspheres,enabling the selective replacement of Zn atoms by Ag.Remarkably,the as-fabricated Ag-ZnIn_(2)S_(4) exhibited exceptional photocatalytic hydrogen production performance,achieving a rate of 8098μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1) under visible light irradiation.This is 4 times than that of pristine ZnIn_(2)S_(4)(2002μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1)),and stands as the highest one among metal-doped-ZnIn_(2)S_(4) photocatalysts ever reported.Along with the theoretical calculations,it has been confirmed that the enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen generation behavior can primarily be attributed to the synergistic effect with improved light absorption,reduced adsorption energy,increased active sites and optimized charge carrier transfer,induced by the cation exchange with Ag in ZnIn_(2)S_(4).This work might provide some valuable insights on the design and development of highly efficient visible light driven photocatalysts for water splitting applications.展开更多

The present study was unde...Total saponins of Panax notoginseng (PNS) have been shown to ameliorate renal interstitial fibrosis. Ginsenoside Rg 1, a panaxatriol saponin, is one of the major active molecules from PNS. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of ginsenoside Rgl on renal fibrosis in rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO). The rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: sham-operation (n=15), UUO (n=15) and UUO with ginsenoside Rgl treatment (n=15, 50 mg per kg body weight, intraperitoneally (i.p.) injected). The rats were sacrificed on Days 7 and 14 after the surgery. Histological examination demonstrated that ginsenoside Rgl significantly inhibited interstitial fibrosis including tubular injury as well as collagen deposition, u-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and E-cadherin are two markers of tubular epithelial-myofibroblast transition (TEMT). Interestingly, ginsenoside Rgl notably decreased α-SMA expression and simultaneously enhanced E-cadherin expression. The messenger RNA (mRNA) of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), a key mediator to regulate TEMT, in the obstructed kidney increased dramatically, but was found to decrease significantly after administration of ginsenoside Rg 1. Further study showed that ginsenoside Rgl considerably decreased the levels of both active TGF-β1 and phosphorylated Smad2 (pSmad2). Moreover, ginsenoside Rgl substantially suppressed the expression of thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1), a cytokine which can promote the transcription of TGF-β1 mRNA and the activation of latent TGF-β1. These results suggest that ginsenoside Rgl inhibits renal interstitial fibrosis in rats with UUO. The mechanism might be partly related to the blocking of TEMT via suppressing the expression of TSP-1.展开更多

The selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol to 1,3-propanediol(1,3-PDO)is an attractive reaction due to the high demand for valorization of huge excess amounts of glycerol supply as well as the important application of 1...The selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol to 1,3-propanediol(1,3-PDO)is an attractive reaction due to the high demand for valorization of huge excess amounts of glycerol supply as well as the important application of 1,3-PDO in polyester industry.Nevertheless,the formation of 1,3-PDO is thermodynamically less favorable than 1,2-PDO,which necessitates the development of efficient catalysts to manipulate the reaction kinetics towards the 1,3-PDO formation.Among others,Pt-W based catalysts have shown promising activities and selectivities of 1,3-PDO although the reaction mechanism is not well addressed at the molecular level.In this short review,we have compared the performances of different Pt-W based catalysts and discussed the key factors influencing the activity and selectivity.Three possible reaction mechanisms have been discussed in terms of the synergy between Pt and WO_x and the origin of acid sites.Finally,the long-term stability of the Pt-W catalysts has been discussed.We hope this review will provide useful information for the development of more efficient catalysts for this important reaction.展开更多
The mechanisms of age-associated memory impairment may be associated with glutamate receptor function and chromatin modification.To observe the effect of an enriched environment on the cognitive function of mice with ...The mechanisms of age-associated memory impairment may be associated with glutamate receptor function and chromatin modification.To observe the effect of an enriched environment on the cognitive function of mice with age-associated memory impairment,3-monthold C57BL/6 male mice("young"mice)were raised in a standard environment,while 24-month-old C57BL/6 male mice with memory impairment("age-associated memory impairment"mice)were raised in either a standard environment or an enriched environment.The enriched environment included a variety of stimuli involving movement and sensation.A water maze test was then used to measure cognitive function in the mice.Furthermore,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blot assays were used to detect right hippocampal GluN2B mRNA as well as protein expression of GluN2B and CREB binding protein in all mice.In addition,chromatin immunoprecipitation was used to measure the extent of histone acetylation of the hippocampal GluN2B gene promoters.Compared with the young mice,the water maze performance of age-associated memory impairment mice in the standard environment was significantly decreased.In addition,there were significantly lower levels of total histone acetylation and expression of CREB binding protein in the hippocampus of age-associated memory impairment mice in the standard environment compared with the young mice.There were also significantly lower levels of histone acetylation,protein expression,and mRNA expression of GluN2B in the hippocampus of these mice.In contrast,in the age-associated memory impairment mice with the enriched environment intervention,the water maze performance and molecular biological indexes were significantly improved.These data confirm that an enriched environment can improve cognitive dysfunction in age-associated memory impairment mice,and suggest that the mechanisms may be related to the increased expression of CREB binding protein and the increased degree of total histone acetylation in the hippocampus of age-associated memory impairment mice,which may cause the increase of histone acetylation of GluN2B gene promoter and the enhancement of GluN2B mRNA transcription and protein expression in hippocampus.The animal experiment was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Yangzhou University,China(approval No.20170312001)in March 2017.展开更多

文摘Catalytic oxidation plays a crucial role in chemical industry,in which the utilization of abundant and environmental-friendly oxygen(O_(2))as oxidant aligns with sustainable development principles in green chemistry.However,the intrinsic inertness of ground-state O_(2) molecule poses a long-standing challenge in developing an efficient non-noble metal-based catalyst.Herein,inspired by the electron transfer process in respiratory chain,we engineered long-range N_(V) to mediate Fe_(1) center for O_(2) activation in aerobic oxidation.Combined in/quasi-situ spectroscopic characterizations and control experiments suggest the Fe_(1) site efficiently adsorbs O_(2),and the N_(V) site facilitates electron delocalization to adjacent Fe_(1),providing efficient transformation of O_(2) to reactive oxygen species that boost oxidation reactions mildly.This Fe_(1)--N_(V) single-atom catalyst demonstrates outstanding catalytic performance in aerobic oxidations of alkanes,N-heterocycles,alcohols,and amines under relatively mild conditions.Our findings offer a new perspective for designing high-efficiency heterogeneous catalysts in aerobic oxidations,promising various potential applications.

文摘The zinc indium sulfide(ZnIn_(2)S_(4))semiconductors have garnered significant interest in photocatalysis due to their environmentally friendly characteristics,appropriate bandgap,and high absorption coefficient.However,the exploration of advanced strategies to realize the effective and tailored doping still poses significant challenges in enhancing hydrogen evolution performance.In this work,a mild cation exchange strategy is reported to incorporate Ag cations into flower-like ZnIn_(2)S_(4) microspheres,enabling the selective replacement of Zn atoms by Ag.Remarkably,the as-fabricated Ag-ZnIn_(2)S_(4) exhibited exceptional photocatalytic hydrogen production performance,achieving a rate of 8098μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1) under visible light irradiation.This is 4 times than that of pristine ZnIn_(2)S_(4)(2002μmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1)),and stands as the highest one among metal-doped-ZnIn_(2)S_(4) photocatalysts ever reported.Along with the theoretical calculations,it has been confirmed that the enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen generation behavior can primarily be attributed to the synergistic effect with improved light absorption,reduced adsorption energy,increased active sites and optimized charge carrier transfer,induced by the cation exchange with Ag in ZnIn_(2)S_(4).This work might provide some valuable insights on the design and development of highly efficient visible light driven photocatalysts for water splitting applications.

文摘The genus Asachironomus Kikuchi&Sasa,1990,previously known only from Sumatra,Indonesia,is reported for the first time in China.A new species,Asachironomus tanyostylus Zhang&Yang sp.nov.,is described and illustrated based on adult male from China.This new species is distinguished from the only previously known species,A.tobasextus Kikuchi&Sasa,by the presence of setae along the inner margin of the gonostylus,a more attenuated anal point,and a significantly longer gonostylus.Diagnostic characters for male adults of the genus are provisionally defined.

文摘Total saponins of Panax notoginseng (PNS) have been shown to ameliorate renal interstitial fibrosis. Ginsenoside Rg 1, a panaxatriol saponin, is one of the major active molecules from PNS. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of ginsenoside Rgl on renal fibrosis in rats with unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO). The rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: sham-operation (n=15), UUO (n=15) and UUO with ginsenoside Rgl treatment (n=15, 50 mg per kg body weight, intraperitoneally (i.p.) injected). The rats were sacrificed on Days 7 and 14 after the surgery. Histological examination demonstrated that ginsenoside Rgl significantly inhibited interstitial fibrosis including tubular injury as well as collagen deposition, u-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and E-cadherin are two markers of tubular epithelial-myofibroblast transition (TEMT). Interestingly, ginsenoside Rgl notably decreased α-SMA expression and simultaneously enhanced E-cadherin expression. The messenger RNA (mRNA) of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), a key mediator to regulate TEMT, in the obstructed kidney increased dramatically, but was found to decrease significantly after administration of ginsenoside Rg 1. Further study showed that ginsenoside Rgl considerably decreased the levels of both active TGF-β1 and phosphorylated Smad2 (pSmad2). Moreover, ginsenoside Rgl substantially suppressed the expression of thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1), a cytokine which can promote the transcription of TGF-β1 mRNA and the activation of latent TGF-β1. These results suggest that ginsenoside Rgl inhibits renal interstitial fibrosis in rats with UUO. The mechanism might be partly related to the blocking of TEMT via suppressing the expression of TSP-1.

文摘The selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol to 1,3-propanediol(1,3-PDO)is an attractive reaction due to the high demand for valorization of huge excess amounts of glycerol supply as well as the important application of 1,3-PDO in polyester industry.Nevertheless,the formation of 1,3-PDO is thermodynamically less favorable than 1,2-PDO,which necessitates the development of efficient catalysts to manipulate the reaction kinetics towards the 1,3-PDO formation.Among others,Pt-W based catalysts have shown promising activities and selectivities of 1,3-PDO although the reaction mechanism is not well addressed at the molecular level.In this short review,we have compared the performances of different Pt-W based catalysts and discussed the key factors influencing the activity and selectivity.Three possible reaction mechanisms have been discussed in terms of the synergy between Pt and WO_x and the origin of acid sites.Finally,the long-term stability of the Pt-W catalysts has been discussed.We hope this review will provide useful information for the development of more efficient catalysts for this important reaction.

文摘The mechanisms of age-associated memory impairment may be associated with glutamate receptor function and chromatin modification.To observe the effect of an enriched environment on the cognitive function of mice with age-associated memory impairment,3-monthold C57BL/6 male mice("young"mice)were raised in a standard environment,while 24-month-old C57BL/6 male mice with memory impairment("age-associated memory impairment"mice)were raised in either a standard environment or an enriched environment.The enriched environment included a variety of stimuli involving movement and sensation.A water maze test was then used to measure cognitive function in the mice.Furthermore,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blot assays were used to detect right hippocampal GluN2B mRNA as well as protein expression of GluN2B and CREB binding protein in all mice.In addition,chromatin immunoprecipitation was used to measure the extent of histone acetylation of the hippocampal GluN2B gene promoters.Compared with the young mice,the water maze performance of age-associated memory impairment mice in the standard environment was significantly decreased.In addition,there were significantly lower levels of total histone acetylation and expression of CREB binding protein in the hippocampus of age-associated memory impairment mice in the standard environment compared with the young mice.There were also significantly lower levels of histone acetylation,protein expression,and mRNA expression of GluN2B in the hippocampus of these mice.In contrast,in the age-associated memory impairment mice with the enriched environment intervention,the water maze performance and molecular biological indexes were significantly improved.These data confirm that an enriched environment can improve cognitive dysfunction in age-associated memory impairment mice,and suggest that the mechanisms may be related to the increased expression of CREB binding protein and the increased degree of total histone acetylation in the hippocampus of age-associated memory impairment mice,which may cause the increase of histone acetylation of GluN2B gene promoter and the enhancement of GluN2B mRNA transcription and protein expression in hippocampus.The animal experiment was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Yangzhou University,China(approval No.20170312001)in March 2017.
