BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a significant global health challenge with rising incidence rates and poor prognoses.Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases(ARSs)are important regulators implicated in the occurrence and...BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a significant global health challenge with rising incidence rates and poor prognoses.Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases(ARSs)are important regulators implicated in the occurrence and progression of several cancers.However,their specific function in HCC remains unclear,and ARSs-related prognostic factors for patient stratification are lacking.AIM To investigate the ARSs-related mechanisms of HCC and establish an effective prognostic risk model for stratifying patients with HCC.METHODS We screened ARSs genes of interest using differential gene expression,mutation,and survival analysis.Western blot and Immunohistochemistry were used to analyze MARS1 expression in the liver tissues of patients with HCC.Functional studies,including CCK-8 cell viability assay,EdU cell proliferation assay,cell cycle assays,Transwell migration and invasion assays,and in vivo tumor xenograft models,were conducted to comprehensively elucidate the specific role of MARS1 in HCC.Moreover,the MARS1-related prognostic score(MRPS)was established by LASSO regression and Cox regression analysis in The Cancer Genome Atlas-HCC and GSE14520 cohorts.Patients’immunotherapy and chemotherapy responses were predicted by immunomicroenvironment and drug susceptibility analysis in both subgroups.RESULTS MARS1 was selected as a target gene from a series of ARSs genes,with markedly higher expression observed in HCC tissues compared to adjacent non-cancerous tissues.Silencing MARS1 considerably impeded the proliferation,migration,invasion,and tumorigenic abilities of HCC cells in vitro and in vivo.Moreover,high MRPSs were associated with poor overall survival,altered infiltration of T cells,macrophages,monocytes,elevated immune checkpoint expression(PD-L1,CTLA4,LAG3),and reduced drug sensitivity in HCC.CONCLUSION MARS1 promotes HCC development and represents a potential therapeutic target for HCC management.Furthermore,MRPS serves as an independent prognostic factor for survival and a predictor of tumor treatment response.展开更多
Manganese ion(Mn^(2+))was generated from metallurgical,steel making and chemical industries.It could affect microbial activity and community structure after entering sewage treatment plant.The effect of Mn^(2+)on the ...Manganese ion(Mn^(2+))was generated from metallurgical,steel making and chemical industries.It could affect microbial activity and community structure after entering sewage treatment plant.The effect of Mn^(2+)on the pollutant removal,metal distribution patterns and composition of microbial communities were investigated in a an anaerobic/anoxic/oxic(A^(2)O)process.The results showed that when Mn^(2+)concentration was 5 mg/L,the efficiencies for the removal of chemical oxygen demand(COD),total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP)attained remarkable levels of 96%,93%,and 99%,respectively.In the sludge,the distribution pattern of Mn^(2+)concentration was tightly bound extracellular polymeric substances(TB-EPS)>supernatant>loosely bound EPS(LB-EPS)>soluble microbial products(SMP).Mn^(2+)was found to enrich and accumulate in the microorganism cells.In addition,Mn^(2+)was mainly found in residual fractions and reducible fractions of pellet that manganese was present.The pellet was discovered to contain a substantial quantity of manganese,which was present in various oxidation states,including Mn^(4+),Mn^(3+)and Mn^(2+).The escalating levels of Mn^(2+)led to a reduction in the richness and diversity of microbial communities inhabiting various regions of the A^(2)O reactor.Nonetheless,the uniformity experienced only subtle alterations.Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes emerged as the leading phyla within the microbial ecosystem,experiencing a steady rise in their respective proportions.The dominant bacterial groups,Azospira and Dechromonas,experienced an incremental increase in their relative prevalence,which played a constructive role in the process of pollutant removal.展开更多

The polarization imaging technology, with the advantages of noninvasiveness, noncontact...The high mortality rates of colon and rectal tumors have put forward an urgent need for rapid, sensitive, and accurate diagnosis. The polarization imaging technology, with the advantages of noninvasiveness, noncontact, quantification, rapidity, and high sensitivity, is expected to be used for auxiliary diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Herein, the differences in colorectal tissues of four pathological types were studied using this powerful technology. Polarized light imaging combined with the Mueller matrix decomposition (MMPD) method was applied to extract structural features that may be related to colorectal tumors. It demonstrated that parameters δ and θ could reflect the structural differences of colorectal tumors. Preliminary simulated experiment results revealed that the parameter δ was related to the fiber density, and the parameter θ was related to the fiber angle. Then Tamura image texture analysis was used to quantitatively describe tissues of different pathological types, and the results showed that the coarseness, contrast, directionality, and roughness of the four groups were statistically different. Texture analysis based on the quantitative data of the four dimensions could be applied for the identification of benign and malignant colorectal tumors.展开更多
Electromagnetic wave radiation disrupts electronic devices and threatens human health.Microwave absorbing materials are essential for addressing electromagnetic pollution and military stealth applications.Advancement ...Electromagnetic wave radiation disrupts electronic devices and threatens human health.Microwave absorbing materials are essential for addressing electromagnetic pollution and military stealth applications.Advancement of electronics creates demand for absorbers with thin thickness,light weight,wide bandwidth,and strong absorption.Conventional materials suffer from poor impedance matching and limited loss mechanisms in the Ku band.Heterojunction engineering offers solutions through control of band alignment and charge distribution.The built-in electric field serves as a core mechanism for enhancing dielectric loss.However,limitations exist in understanding of formation mechanisms of built-in electric fields in multi-interface systems.This study develops a ZnNiCo-LDH/MXene composite with coral-inspired architecture.Construction of high-density Mott-Schottky interfaces occurs through electrostatic assembly of polar semiconductor units and conductive matrices.Vertical growth of flower-like layered double hydroxide(LDH)on MXene extends propagation paths of electromagnetic waves.This design creates continuous networks of built-in electric fields.Enhanced charge separation and interfacial polarization result.Performance demonstrates−49.6 dB reflection loss at 1.35 mm thickness.Effective bandwidth reaches 3.4 GHz across Ku-band frequencies.Radar cross-section simulations confirm−39.57 dB·m^(2) signal suppression.These achievements meet requirements of advanced absorbers.The work establishes a new paradigm for manipulation of built-in electric fields through multi-interface engineering.展开更多
In this study,it aims at examining the differences between humangenerated and AI-generated texts in IELTS Writing Task 2.It especially focuses on lexical resourcefulness,grammatical accuracy,and contextual appropriate...In this study,it aims at examining the differences between humangenerated and AI-generated texts in IELTS Writing Task 2.It especially focuses on lexical resourcefulness,grammatical accuracy,and contextual appropriateness.We analyzed 20 essays,including 10 human written ones by Chinese university students who have achieved an IELTS writing score ranging from 5.5 to 6.0,and 10 ChatGPT-4 Turbo-generated ones,using a mixed-methods approach,through corpus-based tools(NLTK,SpaCy,AntConc)and qualitative content analysis.Results showed that AI texts exhibited superior grammatical accuracy(0.4%–3%error rates for AI vs.20–26%for university students)but higher lexical repetition(17.2%to 23.25%for AI vs.17.68%for university students)and weaker contextual adaptability(3.33/10–3.69/10 for AI vs.3.23/10 to 4.14/10 for university students).While AI’s grammatical precision supports its utility as a corrective tool,human writers outperformed AI in lexical diversity and task-specific nuance.The findings advocate for a hybrid pedagogical model that leverages AI’s strengths in error detection while retaining human instruction for advanced lexical and contextual skills.Limitations include the small corpus and single-AI-model focus,suggesting future research with diverse datasets and longitudinal designs.展开更多

The process of adsorbing Cr(VI) including its isotherm and kinetics, was measured and studied. The results showed that pH value was a very important parameter to the adsorbing efficiency. The adsorption kinetics can be described by a pseudo-second rate model and a particle diffusion equation. Both physical and chemical adsorptions existed in the adsorption process, but chemical adsorption was more dominatant. And particles internal diffusion was not the only rate controlling step. The adsorption equilibrium can be described by the Langmuir type, which indicated that a typical single-molecule layer adsorption of Cr(VI) by ASBC could be described. And the rate of adsorption followed the Slips model well, which indicated that ASBC had some multiphase and asymmetry. The coordination adsorption and ion exchange effect were the main mechanisms of chemical adsorption. The absorbed Cr(V1) can be desorbed effectively by 0.5 mol/L EDTA or HCI from the adsorbent, which could make it be reusable展开更多
Cadmium(Cd)bioavailability in the rhizosphere makes an important difference in grain Cd accumulation in wheat.Here,pot experiments combined with 16S rRNA gene sequencing were conducted to compare the Cd bioavailabilit...Cadmium(Cd)bioavailability in the rhizosphere makes an important difference in grain Cd accumulation in wheat.Here,pot experiments combined with 16S rRNA gene sequencing were conducted to compare the Cd bioavailability and bacterial community in the rhizosphere of two wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)genotypes,a low-Cd-accumulating genotype in grains(LT)and a high-Cd-accumulating genotype in grains(HT),grown on four different soils with Cd contamination.Results showed that there was non-significant difference in total Cd concentration among four soils.However,except for black soil,DTPA-Cd concentrations in HT rhizospheres were higher than those of LT in fluvisol,paddy soil and purple soil.Results of 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed that soil type(52.7%)was the strongest determinant of root-associated community,while there were still some differences in rhizosphere bacterial community composition between twowheat genotypes.Taxa specifically colonized in HT rhizosphere(Acidobacteria,Gemmatimonadetes,Bacteroidetes and Deltaproteobacteria)could participate inmetal activation,whereas LT rhizosphere was highly enriched by plant growth-promoting taxa.In addition,PICRUSt2 analysis also predicted high relative abundances of imputed functional profiles related to membrane transport and amino acid metabolism in HT rhizosphere.These results revealed that the rhizosphere bacterial community may be an important factor regulating Cd uptake and accumulation in wheat and indicated that the high Cd-accumulating cultivar might improve Cd bioavailability in the rhizosphere by recruiting taxa related to Cd activation,thus promoting Cd uptake and accumulation.展开更多

Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed for paraffin samples of ...Objective: To investigate cortactin expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and explore its significance in the prognosis of HCC patients. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed for paraffin samples of 119 pairs of HCC tissues (HCCs) and paratumorous liver tissues (PTLTs) to evaluate cortactin expression. The cortactin expression difference in HCCs and PTLTs were analyzed by the McNemar's test. The relationship of cortactin expressions in HCCs and clinicopathologic factors was analyzed with Mann-Whitney U test. The Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were employed to compare the overall survival between Cortactin negative expression group, weak expression group and strong expression group. Expression of cortactin was further determined in 19 pairs of fresh HCCs and PTLTs specimens with Western blotting. Results: Cortactin expression rate was significantly higher in HCCs (53/119, 44.5%) than that in PTLTs (2/119, 1.7%) (P〈0.001). The upregulated cortactin expression in HCCs was significantly correlated to absence of capsule formation (P=0.012), vascular invasion (P=0.037) and high Edmondson-Steiner grade (P=0.020), and predicted shorter overall survival. Western blotting demonstrated that cortactin expression was upregulated in 9 out of 19 HCCs (47.4%) compared to corresponding PTLTs. Conclusion: Cortactin expression is upregulated in HCC and is related to shorter overall survival of patients, suggesting that cortactin might play roles in the metastasis of HCC and predict a poor prognosis of HCC patients.展开更多

[Na+]i in resting cells was found to be 11.9 ± 0. 7 mmol/L. Angiotensin II (Ang-II, 0.1-10μmol/L) induced an increase of [Na+]i in concentration-dependent manner. Ver (0.1-10μmol/L) inhibited Ang-II (1 μmol/L)-induced increase in [Na+]i, while Cap enhanced Ang-II-induced increase in [Na+]i at 10μmol/L but not at 0.1-1μmol/L. Ver (0.1-1μmol/L)abolished enhancement of Ang-II-induced increase in [Na+]i by Cap. Thus, the inhibition of Capenhanced [Na+]i by Ver may provide a new hypothesis for the underlying molecular mechanism of synergistic effect of the combination of Ca2+ antagonists and angiotensinconverting enzyme inhibitors in controlling blood pressure.展开更多

Literature Review: Cellulose is the most abundant organic carbon source on Earth;its enzymatic hydrolysis will be very useful for bioenergy production and resource recycling. Methods: Cellobiohydrlase I (CBH I) gene was amplified from genomic DNA of Trichoderma koningii and inserted into pGAPZα A plasmid to construct the vector of pGAPZαA-CBH I. It was linearized and transformed into Pichia pastoris by electroporation. The recombinant Pichia pastoris was selected and incubated with YPD medium for cellulase secretion. Results: The result showed that CMCase and avicelase activity in the supernatant was 1.1798 U/mL and 0.1276 U/mL, the molecular weight of the expressed protein was 53 kDa determined with SDS-PAGE analyses, and the optimal temperature and pH of the expressed cellulase were 45?C - 50?C and 4.5 - 5.0, respectively. Conclusion: Cellulase gene from T. koningii has been successfully cloned and expressed in Pichia pastoris.展开更多

Two years ago, after receiving metformin 0.5 g three times daily for 6 months, a 60-year-old Chinese man found his ten toe nails gradually thickened and yellowed (especially two thumbs). The symptoms improved and recovered after metformin discontinuance. Half year ago, metformin 0.5 g three times daily adopted again and toe nails disorder occurred again. Physician modified the therapy plan and replaced metformin with acarbose to control blood glucose level of this patient. According to the follow up 3 months after his discharge, ten toe nails recovered significantly and new parts of the nails were normal. Nail disorder was rarely reported in the worldwide, but the physicians should keep awareness of this adverse drug reaction (ADR), proper actions should be taken once it occurred to avoid unnecessary suffering of the patient.展开更多
Heavily doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)potentially have exceptional photon upconversion abilities that are promising for diverse applications,such as lasing and super-resolution microscopy.However,heavily dope...Heavily doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)potentially have exceptional photon upconversion abilities that are promising for diverse applications,such as lasing and super-resolution microscopy.However,heavily doped UCNPs typically can only offer mediocre upconversion luminescence intensity,and there still lacks general guidelines for the design and synthesis of heavily doped UCNPs.Herein,in order to boost the upconversion luminescence of heavily doped UCNPs,we studied the influence of characteristics of the core-shell structure on heavily doped UCNPs'upconversion luminescence.We find that some empirical guidelines derived from conventional UCNPs are not suitable for heavily doped UCNPs.Using NaYbF_(4):Tm@NaYF_(4) core-shell UCNPs with a high concentration of Yb_(3+)as a representative,our studies reveal that a rather thick inert NaYF4 shell is needed to protect the UCNPs from surface quenching,and the upconversion luminescence may undergo the cooperative sensitization process,which should be due to the highly concentrated Yb~(3+)dopant.In addition,the upconversion luminescence of heavily doped NaYbF4:Tm UCNPs exhibits no obvious dependence on the type of inert shell.Furthermore,our results show that confining both Yb~(3+)and Tm~(3+)dopants in a thin layer(known as theδ-doping strategy)does not work well in the heavily doped UCNPs.Accordingly,we propose a NaYbF_(4):Tm@NaYbF_(4)@NaYF_(4) core-shell-shell structure to enhance the luminescence of heavily doped UCNPs,by weakening the dissipation of excitation energy and strengthening the absorption.These findings should be helpful to establish general design principles for developing the brightest possible UCNPs that can meet the requirements of various applications.展开更多
The impedance matching of absorbers is a vital factor affecting their microwave absorption(MA)properties.In this work,we controllably synthesized Material of Institute Lavoisier 88C(MIL-88C)with varying aspect ratios(...The impedance matching of absorbers is a vital factor affecting their microwave absorption(MA)properties.In this work,we controllably synthesized Material of Institute Lavoisier 88C(MIL-88C)with varying aspect ratios(AR)as a precursor by regulating oil bath conditions,followed by one-step thermal decomposition to obtain carbon-coated iron-based composites.Modifying the precursor MIL-88C(Fe)preparation conditions,such as the molar ratio between metal ions and organic ligands(M/O),oil bath temperature,and oil bath time,influenced the phases,graphitization degree,and AR of the derivatives,enabling low filler loading,achieving well-matched impedance,and ensuring outstanding MA properties.The MOF-derivatives 2(MD_(2))/polyvinylidene Difluoride(PVDF),MD_(3)/PVDF,and MD4/PVDF absorbers all exhibited excellent MA properties with optimal filler loadings below 20 wt%and as low as 5 wt%.The MD_(2)/PVDF(5 wt%)achieved a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.52 GHz(1.90 mm).The MD_(3)/PVDF(10 wt%)possessed a minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))value of−67.4 at 12.56 GHz(2.13 mm).A symmetric gradient honeycomb structure(SGHS)was constructed utilizing the high-frequency structure simulator(HFSS)to further extend the EAB,achieving an EAB of 14.6 GHz and a RL_(min) of−59.0 dB.This research offers a viable inspiration to creating structures or materials with high-efficiency MA properties.展开更多

We retrospectively reviewed the clinical recor...This study aims to investigate the effect of different local testicular treatments and validate common prognostic factors on primary testicular lymphoma (PTL) patients. We retrospectively reviewed the clinical records of 32 patients from 1993 to 2017 diagnosed with PTL and included 22 patients for analysis. The Kaplan-Meier method, Log-rank test, and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis were applied to evaluate progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and determine prognosis predictors. The median follow-up time was 30 months. Median OS and PFS were 96 months and 49 months, respectively. In univariate analysis, advanced Ann Arbor stage (Ill/IV) (P 〈 0.001), B symptoms (P 〈 0.001), and extranodal involvement other than testis (P = 0.001) were significantly associated with shorter OS and PFS. In multivariate analysis, Ann Arbor stage was significantly associated with OS (OR = 11.58, P = 0.049), whereas B symptom was significantly associated with PFS (OR = 11.79, P = 0.049). In the 10 patients with the systemic usage of rituximab, bilateral intervention could improve median OS from 16 to 96 months (P = 0.032). The study provides preliminary evidence on bilateral intervention in testes in the rituximab era and validates common prognostic factors for Chinese PTL patients.展开更多
<div style="text-align:justify;"> <strong>Objective:</strong> To study the application of specific nursing in perioperative patients of thoracic surgery and postoperative recovery and impro...<div style="text-align:justify;"> <strong>Objective:</strong> To study the application of specific nursing in perioperative patients of thoracic surgery and postoperative recovery and improvement of patients’ negative emotions. <strong>Patients and Methods:</strong> A total of 88 patients in the thoracic surgery operating room of our hospital were selected and divided into group A (specific nursing, n = 44) and group B (routine nursing, n = 44). The anxiety and depression status of the two groups were assessed by the Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS). The relevant respiratory parameters after surgery, including total lung capacity, maximum respiration flow-rate, tidal volume, and vital capacity were observed. The extubation time, ICU hospitalization time, and VAS scores of postoperative pain were compared, with a score of 10 being full. The higher the score, the higher the pain. The in-cidence of postoperative wound infection, pulmonary infection, respiratory tract infection and the satisfaction with the operation were compared. Sf-36 scale was used to score the physical function, life function, psychological function and quality of life of the patients in the two groups. <strong>Results:</strong> The surgical effect of group A was significantly higher than that of group B (all p < 0.05). The total lung capacity, maximum respiration flow-rate, tidal volume and vital capacity of group A were significantly higher than those of group B (all p < 0.05). The extubation time and hospitalization time of group A were significantly higher than those of group B (all p < 0.05). VAS score of group A was significantly lower than that of group B (all p < 0.05). The infection rate of group A was significantly lower than that in group B (all p < 0.05). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Specific nursing has higher application value than routine nursing, which is worth further promotion in clinic. </div>展开更多

文摘Manganese ion(Mn^(2+))was generated from metallurgical,steel making and chemical industries.It could affect microbial activity and community structure after entering sewage treatment plant.The effect of Mn^(2+)on the pollutant removal,metal distribution patterns and composition of microbial communities were investigated in a an anaerobic/anoxic/oxic(A^(2)O)process.The results showed that when Mn^(2+)concentration was 5 mg/L,the efficiencies for the removal of chemical oxygen demand(COD),total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP)attained remarkable levels of 96%,93%,and 99%,respectively.In the sludge,the distribution pattern of Mn^(2+)concentration was tightly bound extracellular polymeric substances(TB-EPS)>supernatant>loosely bound EPS(LB-EPS)>soluble microbial products(SMP).Mn^(2+)was found to enrich and accumulate in the microorganism cells.In addition,Mn^(2+)was mainly found in residual fractions and reducible fractions of pellet that manganese was present.The pellet was discovered to contain a substantial quantity of manganese,which was present in various oxidation states,including Mn^(4+),Mn^(3+)and Mn^(2+).The escalating levels of Mn^(2+)led to a reduction in the richness and diversity of microbial communities inhabiting various regions of the A^(2)O reactor.Nonetheless,the uniformity experienced only subtle alterations.Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes emerged as the leading phyla within the microbial ecosystem,experiencing a steady rise in their respective proportions.The dominant bacterial groups,Azospira and Dechromonas,experienced an incremental increase in their relative prevalence,which played a constructive role in the process of pollutant removal.
文摘The high mortality rates of colon and rectal tumors have put forward an urgent need for rapid, sensitive, and accurate diagnosis. The polarization imaging technology, with the advantages of noninvasiveness, noncontact, quantification, rapidity, and high sensitivity, is expected to be used for auxiliary diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Herein, the differences in colorectal tissues of four pathological types were studied using this powerful technology. Polarized light imaging combined with the Mueller matrix decomposition (MMPD) method was applied to extract structural features that may be related to colorectal tumors. It demonstrated that parameters δ and θ could reflect the structural differences of colorectal tumors. Preliminary simulated experiment results revealed that the parameter δ was related to the fiber density, and the parameter θ was related to the fiber angle. Then Tamura image texture analysis was used to quantitatively describe tissues of different pathological types, and the results showed that the coarseness, contrast, directionality, and roughness of the four groups were statistically different. Texture analysis based on the quantitative data of the four dimensions could be applied for the identification of benign and malignant colorectal tumors.

文摘Electromagnetic wave radiation disrupts electronic devices and threatens human health.Microwave absorbing materials are essential for addressing electromagnetic pollution and military stealth applications.Advancement of electronics creates demand for absorbers with thin thickness,light weight,wide bandwidth,and strong absorption.Conventional materials suffer from poor impedance matching and limited loss mechanisms in the Ku band.Heterojunction engineering offers solutions through control of band alignment and charge distribution.The built-in electric field serves as a core mechanism for enhancing dielectric loss.However,limitations exist in understanding of formation mechanisms of built-in electric fields in multi-interface systems.This study develops a ZnNiCo-LDH/MXene composite with coral-inspired architecture.Construction of high-density Mott-Schottky interfaces occurs through electrostatic assembly of polar semiconductor units and conductive matrices.Vertical growth of flower-like layered double hydroxide(LDH)on MXene extends propagation paths of electromagnetic waves.This design creates continuous networks of built-in electric fields.Enhanced charge separation and interfacial polarization result.Performance demonstrates−49.6 dB reflection loss at 1.35 mm thickness.Effective bandwidth reaches 3.4 GHz across Ku-band frequencies.Radar cross-section simulations confirm−39.57 dB·m^(2) signal suppression.These achievements meet requirements of advanced absorbers.The work establishes a new paradigm for manipulation of built-in electric fields through multi-interface engineering.

文摘In this study,it aims at examining the differences between humangenerated and AI-generated texts in IELTS Writing Task 2.It especially focuses on lexical resourcefulness,grammatical accuracy,and contextual appropriateness.We analyzed 20 essays,including 10 human written ones by Chinese university students who have achieved an IELTS writing score ranging from 5.5 to 6.0,and 10 ChatGPT-4 Turbo-generated ones,using a mixed-methods approach,through corpus-based tools(NLTK,SpaCy,AntConc)and qualitative content analysis.Results showed that AI texts exhibited superior grammatical accuracy(0.4%–3%error rates for AI vs.20–26%for university students)but higher lexical repetition(17.2%to 23.25%for AI vs.17.68%for university students)and weaker contextual adaptability(3.33/10–3.69/10 for AI vs.3.23/10 to 4.14/10 for university students).While AI’s grammatical precision supports its utility as a corrective tool,human writers outperformed AI in lexical diversity and task-specific nuance.The findings advocate for a hybrid pedagogical model that leverages AI’s strengths in error detection while retaining human instruction for advanced lexical and contextual skills.Limitations include the small corpus and single-AI-model focus,suggesting future research with diverse datasets and longitudinal designs.

文摘A new adsorbent, ammonium sulfamate-bacterial cellulose (ASBC), was prepared through chemical modifications of bacterial cellulose. The process of adsorbing Cr(VI) including its isotherm and kinetics, was measured and studied. The results showed that pH value was a very important parameter to the adsorbing efficiency. The adsorption kinetics can be described by a pseudo-second rate model and a particle diffusion equation. Both physical and chemical adsorptions existed in the adsorption process, but chemical adsorption was more dominatant. And particles internal diffusion was not the only rate controlling step. The adsorption equilibrium can be described by the Langmuir type, which indicated that a typical single-molecule layer adsorption of Cr(VI) by ASBC could be described. And the rate of adsorption followed the Slips model well, which indicated that ASBC had some multiphase and asymmetry. The coordination adsorption and ion exchange effect were the main mechanisms of chemical adsorption. The absorbed Cr(V1) can be desorbed effectively by 0.5 mol/L EDTA or HCI from the adsorbent, which could make it be reusable

文摘Cadmium(Cd)bioavailability in the rhizosphere makes an important difference in grain Cd accumulation in wheat.Here,pot experiments combined with 16S rRNA gene sequencing were conducted to compare the Cd bioavailability and bacterial community in the rhizosphere of two wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)genotypes,a low-Cd-accumulating genotype in grains(LT)and a high-Cd-accumulating genotype in grains(HT),grown on four different soils with Cd contamination.Results showed that there was non-significant difference in total Cd concentration among four soils.However,except for black soil,DTPA-Cd concentrations in HT rhizospheres were higher than those of LT in fluvisol,paddy soil and purple soil.Results of 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed that soil type(52.7%)was the strongest determinant of root-associated community,while there were still some differences in rhizosphere bacterial community composition between twowheat genotypes.Taxa specifically colonized in HT rhizosphere(Acidobacteria,Gemmatimonadetes,Bacteroidetes and Deltaproteobacteria)could participate inmetal activation,whereas LT rhizosphere was highly enriched by plant growth-promoting taxa.In addition,PICRUSt2 analysis also predicted high relative abundances of imputed functional profiles related to membrane transport and amino acid metabolism in HT rhizosphere.These results revealed that the rhizosphere bacterial community may be an important factor regulating Cd uptake and accumulation in wheat and indicated that the high Cd-accumulating cultivar might improve Cd bioavailability in the rhizosphere by recruiting taxa related to Cd activation,thus promoting Cd uptake and accumulation.

文摘Objective: To investigate cortactin expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and explore its significance in the prognosis of HCC patients. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed for paraffin samples of 119 pairs of HCC tissues (HCCs) and paratumorous liver tissues (PTLTs) to evaluate cortactin expression. The cortactin expression difference in HCCs and PTLTs were analyzed by the McNemar's test. The relationship of cortactin expressions in HCCs and clinicopathologic factors was analyzed with Mann-Whitney U test. The Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were employed to compare the overall survival between Cortactin negative expression group, weak expression group and strong expression group. Expression of cortactin was further determined in 19 pairs of fresh HCCs and PTLTs specimens with Western blotting. Results: Cortactin expression rate was significantly higher in HCCs (53/119, 44.5%) than that in PTLTs (2/119, 1.7%) (P〈0.001). The upregulated cortactin expression in HCCs was significantly correlated to absence of capsule formation (P=0.012), vascular invasion (P=0.037) and high Edmondson-Steiner grade (P=0.020), and predicted shorter overall survival. Western blotting demonstrated that cortactin expression was upregulated in 9 out of 19 HCCs (47.4%) compared to corresponding PTLTs. Conclusion: Cortactin expression is upregulated in HCC and is related to shorter overall survival of patients, suggesting that cortactin might play roles in the metastasis of HCC and predict a poor prognosis of HCC patients.
文摘The effects of captopril (Cap) and verapamil (Ver)alone and in combination on intracellular Na+ concentration ([Na+]i) in cultured aortic smooth muscle cells (ASMC) of rabbits was evaluated by a direct measurement of [Na+]i with fluorescent dye sodium-binding benzofuran isophthalate (SBFI) combined with digital image. [Na+]i in resting cells was found to be 11.9 ± 0. 7 mmol/L. Angiotensin II (Ang-II, 0.1-10μmol/L) induced an increase of [Na+]i in concentration-dependent manner. Ver (0.1-10μmol/L) inhibited Ang-II (1 μmol/L)-induced increase in [Na+]i, while Cap enhanced Ang-II-induced increase in [Na+]i at 10μmol/L but not at 0.1-1μmol/L. Ver (0.1-1μmol/L)abolished enhancement of Ang-II-induced increase in [Na+]i by Cap. Thus, the inhibition of Capenhanced [Na+]i by Ver may provide a new hypothesis for the underlying molecular mechanism of synergistic effect of the combination of Ca2+ antagonists and angiotensinconverting enzyme inhibitors in controlling blood pressure.
文摘Objectives: In order to increase cellulose degradation, cellulase was expressed in this study. Literature Review: Cellulose is the most abundant organic carbon source on Earth;its enzymatic hydrolysis will be very useful for bioenergy production and resource recycling. Methods: Cellobiohydrlase I (CBH I) gene was amplified from genomic DNA of Trichoderma koningii and inserted into pGAPZα A plasmid to construct the vector of pGAPZαA-CBH I. It was linearized and transformed into Pichia pastoris by electroporation. The recombinant Pichia pastoris was selected and incubated with YPD medium for cellulase secretion. Results: The result showed that CMCase and avicelase activity in the supernatant was 1.1798 U/mL and 0.1276 U/mL, the molecular weight of the expressed protein was 53 kDa determined with SDS-PAGE analyses, and the optimal temperature and pH of the expressed cellulase were 45?C - 50?C and 4.5 - 5.0, respectively. Conclusion: Cellulase gene from T. koningii has been successfully cloned and expressed in Pichia pastoris.
文摘The aim of this article was to report a case of toe nails disorder associated with metformin use in an elderly patient with type2diabetes. Two years ago, after receiving metformin 0.5 g three times daily for 6 months, a 60-year-old Chinese man found his ten toe nails gradually thickened and yellowed (especially two thumbs). The symptoms improved and recovered after metformin discontinuance. Half year ago, metformin 0.5 g three times daily adopted again and toe nails disorder occurred again. Physician modified the therapy plan and replaced metformin with acarbose to control blood glucose level of this patient. According to the follow up 3 months after his discharge, ten toe nails recovered significantly and new parts of the nails were normal. Nail disorder was rarely reported in the worldwide, but the physicians should keep awareness of this adverse drug reaction (ADR), proper actions should be taken once it occurred to avoid unnecessary suffering of the patient.

文摘Heavily doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)potentially have exceptional photon upconversion abilities that are promising for diverse applications,such as lasing and super-resolution microscopy.However,heavily doped UCNPs typically can only offer mediocre upconversion luminescence intensity,and there still lacks general guidelines for the design and synthesis of heavily doped UCNPs.Herein,in order to boost the upconversion luminescence of heavily doped UCNPs,we studied the influence of characteristics of the core-shell structure on heavily doped UCNPs'upconversion luminescence.We find that some empirical guidelines derived from conventional UCNPs are not suitable for heavily doped UCNPs.Using NaYbF_(4):Tm@NaYF_(4) core-shell UCNPs with a high concentration of Yb_(3+)as a representative,our studies reveal that a rather thick inert NaYF4 shell is needed to protect the UCNPs from surface quenching,and the upconversion luminescence may undergo the cooperative sensitization process,which should be due to the highly concentrated Yb~(3+)dopant.In addition,the upconversion luminescence of heavily doped NaYbF4:Tm UCNPs exhibits no obvious dependence on the type of inert shell.Furthermore,our results show that confining both Yb~(3+)and Tm~(3+)dopants in a thin layer(known as theδ-doping strategy)does not work well in the heavily doped UCNPs.Accordingly,we propose a NaYbF_(4):Tm@NaYbF_(4)@NaYF_(4) core-shell-shell structure to enhance the luminescence of heavily doped UCNPs,by weakening the dissipation of excitation energy and strengthening the absorption.These findings should be helpful to establish general design principles for developing the brightest possible UCNPs that can meet the requirements of various applications.

文摘The impedance matching of absorbers is a vital factor affecting their microwave absorption(MA)properties.In this work,we controllably synthesized Material of Institute Lavoisier 88C(MIL-88C)with varying aspect ratios(AR)as a precursor by regulating oil bath conditions,followed by one-step thermal decomposition to obtain carbon-coated iron-based composites.Modifying the precursor MIL-88C(Fe)preparation conditions,such as the molar ratio between metal ions and organic ligands(M/O),oil bath temperature,and oil bath time,influenced the phases,graphitization degree,and AR of the derivatives,enabling low filler loading,achieving well-matched impedance,and ensuring outstanding MA properties.The MOF-derivatives 2(MD_(2))/polyvinylidene Difluoride(PVDF),MD_(3)/PVDF,and MD4/PVDF absorbers all exhibited excellent MA properties with optimal filler loadings below 20 wt%and as low as 5 wt%.The MD_(2)/PVDF(5 wt%)achieved a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.52 GHz(1.90 mm).The MD_(3)/PVDF(10 wt%)possessed a minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))value of−67.4 at 12.56 GHz(2.13 mm).A symmetric gradient honeycomb structure(SGHS)was constructed utilizing the high-frequency structure simulator(HFSS)to further extend the EAB,achieving an EAB of 14.6 GHz and a RL_(min) of−59.0 dB.This research offers a viable inspiration to creating structures or materials with high-efficiency MA properties.
文摘This study aims to investigate the effect of different local testicular treatments and validate common prognostic factors on primary testicular lymphoma (PTL) patients. We retrospectively reviewed the clinical records of 32 patients from 1993 to 2017 diagnosed with PTL and included 22 patients for analysis. The Kaplan-Meier method, Log-rank test, and multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis were applied to evaluate progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and determine prognosis predictors. The median follow-up time was 30 months. Median OS and PFS were 96 months and 49 months, respectively. In univariate analysis, advanced Ann Arbor stage (Ill/IV) (P 〈 0.001), B symptoms (P 〈 0.001), and extranodal involvement other than testis (P = 0.001) were significantly associated with shorter OS and PFS. In multivariate analysis, Ann Arbor stage was significantly associated with OS (OR = 11.58, P = 0.049), whereas B symptom was significantly associated with PFS (OR = 11.79, P = 0.049). In the 10 patients with the systemic usage of rituximab, bilateral intervention could improve median OS from 16 to 96 months (P = 0.032). The study provides preliminary evidence on bilateral intervention in testes in the rituximab era and validates common prognostic factors for Chinese PTL patients.
文摘<div style="text-align:justify;"> <strong>Objective:</strong> To study the application of specific nursing in perioperative patients of thoracic surgery and postoperative recovery and improvement of patients’ negative emotions. <strong>Patients and Methods:</strong> A total of 88 patients in the thoracic surgery operating room of our hospital were selected and divided into group A (specific nursing, n = 44) and group B (routine nursing, n = 44). The anxiety and depression status of the two groups were assessed by the Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS). The relevant respiratory parameters after surgery, including total lung capacity, maximum respiration flow-rate, tidal volume, and vital capacity were observed. The extubation time, ICU hospitalization time, and VAS scores of postoperative pain were compared, with a score of 10 being full. The higher the score, the higher the pain. The in-cidence of postoperative wound infection, pulmonary infection, respiratory tract infection and the satisfaction with the operation were compared. Sf-36 scale was used to score the physical function, life function, psychological function and quality of life of the patients in the two groups. <strong>Results:</strong> The surgical effect of group A was significantly higher than that of group B (all p < 0.05). The total lung capacity, maximum respiration flow-rate, tidal volume and vital capacity of group A were significantly higher than those of group B (all p < 0.05). The extubation time and hospitalization time of group A were significantly higher than those of group B (all p < 0.05). VAS score of group A was significantly lower than that of group B (all p < 0.05). The infection rate of group A was significantly lower than that in group B (all p < 0.05). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Specific nursing has higher application value than routine nursing, which is worth further promotion in clinic. </div>
