Since 1970, the urban rail transit system has developed rapidly in all countries in the world, playing an important role in the urban transportation system, promoting the development of urban economy and providing outstanding travel choices for residents. By the end of 2020, 45 cities in China had opened urban rail transit, with a mileage of about 7,978.19 kilometers. The development of China's urban rail transit is entering a period of rapid development. However, the current urban rail transit is not compatible with other modes of transportation. In areas where the passenger flow is not dense, the economic benefits of rail transit lines are low, and the flexibility of line changes and dispatching is also low after completion. As a result of the difficulty in updating locomotives and rolling stock and the huge investment in the construction of urban rail transit, most of the urban rail transit companies suffered operating losses. To this end, domestic and foreign scholars have adopted various forms, including policy guidance, increasing or decreasing vehicles, optimizing vehicle travel time, attracting passenger flow and increasing corporate profits. Based on this, the paper discusses the operation management optimization strategy of urban rail transit based on utility theory.展开更多
