A low carbon Nb-Ti microalloyed steel was subjected to hot torsion testing over the temperature range 850-1100℃ and strain rates 0.01-1 s-1 to study the influence of deformation conditions on the dynamic recrystallization characteristics of austenite. The results show that dynamic recrystallization occurs more easily with the decrease of strain rate and the increase of deformation temperature. The complete dynamically recrystallized grain size as a function of Zener-Hollomon parameter was established. It was found that dynamically recrystallized grain sizes decrease with increasing strain rate and decreasing deformation temperature. The effect of microalloying elements on peak strain was investigated and the solute drag corrected peak strain was determined. Also, the dynamic recrystallization map of austenite was obtained by using recrystallization critical parameters. 展开更多

This paper deals with free vibration analysis of functionally graded thick circular plates resting on the Pasternak elastic foundation with edges elastically restrained against translation and rotation.Governing equations are obtained based on the first order shear deformation theory(FSDT) with the assumption that the mechanical properties of plate materials vary continuously in the thickness direction.A semi-analytical approach named differential transform method is adopted to transform the differential governing equations into algebraic recurrence equations. And eigenvalue equation for free vibration analysis is solved for arbitrary boundary conditions.Comparison between the obtained results and the results from analytical method confirms an excellent accuracy of the present approach.Afterwards, comprehensive studies on the FG plates rested on elastic foundation are presented. The effects of parameters, such as thickness-to-radius,material distribution, foundation stiffness parameters, different combinations of constraints at edges on the frequency, mode shape and modal stress are also investigated. 展开更多

In this paper,an exact closed-form solution for a curved sandwich panel with two piezoelectric layers as actuator and sensor that are inserted in the top and bottom facings is presented. The core is made from functionally graded(FG)material that has heterogeneous power-law distribution through the radial coordinate. It is assumed that the core is subjected to a magnetic field whereas the core is covered by two insulated composite layers. To determine the exact solution, first characteristic equations are derived for different material types in a polar coordinate system,namely,magneto-elastic,elastic,and electro-elastic for the FG,orthotropic, and piezoelectric materials, respectively. The displacement-based method is used instead of the stress-based method to derive a set of closed-form real-valued solutions for both real and complex roots.Based on the elasticity theory, exact solutions for the governing equations are determined layer-by-layer that are considerably more accurate than typical simplified theories. The accuracy of the presented method is compared and validated with the available literature and the finite element simulation. The effects of geometrical and material parameters such as FG index, angular span along with external conditions such as magnetic field, mechanical pressure, and electrical difference are investigated in detail through numerical examples. 展开更多
