OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of entecavir plus Ganshuang granule(肝爽颗粒,GSG)on advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection.METHODS:One hundred thirty-five patients wer...OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of entecavir plus Ganshuang granule(肝爽颗粒,GSG)on advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection.METHODS:One hundred thirty-five patients were randomly assigned to one of two cohorts:GSG cohort(n=69)or placebo cohort(n=66).The GSG cohort received entecavir plus GSG and the placebo cohort received entecavir plus placebo for 48 weeks.Liver biopsy was performed at baseline and between weeks 44 and 48 during this placebo-controlled trial.We assessed histological improvement(greater than a two-point decrease using the Knodell in fl ammatory score and no worsening of the Ishak fibrosis score)and fibrosis regression(a decrease of at least one point in the Ishak fibrosis score).RESULTS:There were 95.7% of patients(66/69)in the GSG cohort and 66.7%(44/66)of patients in the placebo cohort who showed necroin t.The mean reduction in flth ammation improvemene Knodell necroinflammatory score was 5.1 and 2.6,respectively.There were 89.9%(62/69)of patients in the GSG cohort and 31.8%(21/66)of patients in the placebo cohort who showed at least a one-point improvement in the Ishak fibrosis score.The mean reduction in the Ishak fibrosis score was 1.7 and 0.4,respectively.CONCLUSION:Patients with advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis caused by chronic hepatitis B showed more improvement in liver histology in a shorter time after treatment with entecavir plus GSG compared with entecavir plus placebo.展开更多
Crape myrtle(Lagerstroemia indica)is a globally used ornamental woody plant and is the representative species of Lagerstroemia.However,studies on the evolution and genomic breeding of L.indica have been hindered by th...Crape myrtle(Lagerstroemia indica)is a globally used ornamental woody plant and is the representative species of Lagerstroemia.However,studies on the evolution and genomic breeding of L.indica have been hindered by the lack of a reference genome.Here we assembled the first high-quality genome of L.indica using PacBio combined with Hi-C scaffolding to anchor the 329.14-Mb genome assembly into 24 pseudochromosomes.We detected a previously undescribed independent whole-genome triplication event occurring 35.5 million years ago in L.indica following its divergence from Punica granatum.After resequencing 73 accessions of Lagerstroemia,the main parents of modern crape myrtle cultivars were found to be L.indica and L.fauriei.During the process of domestication,genetic diversity tended to decrease in many plants,but this was not observed in L.indica.We constructed a high-density genetic linkage map with an average map distance of 0.33 cM.Furthermore,we integrated the results of quantitative trait locus(QTL)using genetic mapping and bulk segregant analysis(BSA),revealing that the major-effect interval controlling internode length(IL)is located on chr1,which contains CDL15,CRG98,and GID1b1 associated with the phytohormone pathways.Analysis of gene expression of the red,purple,and white flower-colour flavonoid pathways revealed that differential expression of multiple genes determined the flower colour of L.indica,with white flowers having the lowest gene expression.In addition,BSA of purple-and green-leaved individuals of populations of L.indica was performed,and the leaf colour loci were mapped to chr12 and chr17.Within these intervals,we identified MYB35,NCED,and KAS1.Our genome assembly provided a foundation for investigating the evolution,population structure,and differentiation of Myrtaceae species and accelerating the molecular breeding of L.indica.展开更多

The absorption and mechanical properties of the composites we...The aging properties of advanced composite T300/5405 which soaked in 15# hydraulic oil, 4010 lubricating oil, RP-3 kerosene and AHC-1 cleaner were studied. The absorption and mechanical properties of the composites were measured, and the scanning electron microscopy (SEIVO, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and the infrared analysis (IR) were used to investigate the properties' changes of the composite. The aging mechanism of composite T300/5405 was also discussed. The experimental results show that the absorption of the composite in AHC-1 was the biggest, and the other three mediums had little effect on the composites. The mechanical properties declined in the aging. The composites have undergone chemical change in the test; Tg rose or declined atter the aging, and the AHC-1 cleaner and 4010 lubricating oil had the greatest influence on the Tg.展开更多
Photometric redshift(photoz)is a fundamental parameter for multi-wavelength photometric surveys,while galaxy clusters are important cosmological probes and ideal objects for exploring the dense environmental impact on...Photometric redshift(photoz)is a fundamental parameter for multi-wavelength photometric surveys,while galaxy clusters are important cosmological probes and ideal objects for exploring the dense environmental impact on galaxy evolution.We extend our previous work on estimating photoz and detecting galaxy clusters to the latest data releases of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument(DESI)imaging surveys,Dark Energy Survey(DES)and Hyper Suprime-Cam Subaru Strategic Program(HSC-SSP)imaging surveys and make corresponding catalogs publicly available for more extensive scientific applications.The photoz catalogs include accurate measurements of photoz and stellar mass for about 320,293and 134 million galaxies with r<23,i<24 and i<25 in DESI DR9,DES DR2 and HSC-SSP PDR3 data,respectively.The photoz accuracy is about 0.017,0.024 and 0.029 and the general redshift coverage is z<1,z<1.2 and z<1.6,respectively for those three surveys.The uncertainty of the logarithmic stellar mass that is inferred from stellar population synthesis fitting is about 0.2 dex.With the above photoz catalogs,galaxy clusters are detected using a fast cluster-finding algorithm.A total of 532,810,86,963 and 36,566 galaxy clusters with the number of members larger than 10 is discovered for DESI,DES and HSC-SSP,respectively.Their photoz accuracy is at the level of 0.01.The total mass of our clusters is also estimated by using the calibration relations between the optical richness and the mass measurement from X-ray and radio observations.The photoz and cluster catalogs are available at Science DB(https://www.doi.org/10.11922/sciencedb.o00069.00003)and Paper Data Repository(https://doi.org/10.12149/101089).展开更多
The fibre pullout test was conducted to investigate the influence of the water stability on the bond behaviour between the Magnesium phosphate cement(MPC)matrix and the steel fibre.The composition of the MPC-matrix an...The fibre pullout test was conducted to investigate the influence of the water stability on the bond behaviour between the Magnesium phosphate cement(MPC)matrix and the steel fibre.The composition of the MPC-matrix and the immersion age of the specimens are experimentally investigated.The average bond strength and the pullout energy are investigated by analysing the experimental results.In addition,the microscopic characteristics of the interface transition zone are investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The experimental results showed that the bond performance between the MPC-matrix and the steel fibre decreased significantly with the increase of the duration of immersion in water.The average bond strength between the steel fibre and the MPC-matrix reduced by more than 50%when the specimens were immersed in the water for 28 days.The effect of the water on the interface between the steel fibre and the MPC-matrix was found to be more significant compared to the composition of the MPC-matrix.In addition,the MgO-KH2PO4 mole ratio of the MPC significantly influenced the water stability of the interface zone between the steel fibre and MPC-matrix.展开更多
The response to endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress has been noted in both human depression cases and depression models in rodents.Wuling powder,derived from the mycelium of the esteemed fungus Xylaria Nigripes(Kl.)Sacc,h...The response to endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress has been noted in both human depression cases and depression models in rodents.Wuling powder,derived from the mycelium of the esteemed fungus Xylaria Nigripes(Kl.)Sacc,has demonstrated efficacy in alleviating depressive symptoms.The purpose of this research was to explore the antidepressant properties of Wuling powder and its basic molecular effects,particularly regarding alterations in ER stress.A model of social defeat stress was created by introducing a mouse to the cage of an unfamiliar,hostile mouse for intervals of 5–10 min daily over a span of 10 d.Subsequently,the mice received oral doses of Wuling powder for 2 weeks.The social approach-avoidance assay was employed to evaluate signs of depression-like behaviors.Moreover,protein and gene expressions linked to ER stress triggered by social defeat were analyzed through Western blotting analysis and quantitative real-time PCR.The behavioral tests indicated that Wuling powder ameliorated behaviors associated with depression due to social defeat stress.Treatment with Wuling powder markedly reduced the increased levels of the 78-k Da glucose-regulated protein and protein disulfide isomerase caused by social defeat stress.It also diminished the expression of inositol-requiring enzyme 1α(IRE1α)and spliced X box-binding protein-1(s XBP1)at the protein and m RNA levels.Furthermore,Wuling treatment notably decreased the levels of phosphorylated eukaryotic initiation factor 2 alpha kinase(P-e IF2α),activating transcription factor 4(ATF4)and C/EBP homologous protein(CHOP),simultaneously enhancing the ratio of B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2)to Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax).These results suggested that Wuling powder could alleviate ER stress and inhibit cell apoptosis in the hippocampus by inhibiting protein translation and synthesis,thereby attenuating depressive-like behavior.展开更多
