Analysis of The Impact of Excellent Event Management on the Safety of Patients and Clinical Caregivers

Objective: To investigate the impact of excellent event management in improving patient safety and nursing staff care satisfaction. Methods: The study was analyzed by retrospective comparison, and routine management from January 2022 to December 2022 was set as the control group, and excellent event management from January 2023 to January 2024 was set as the study group. The differences in nursing outcomes between both groups were compared. Results: The rate of adverse events in the study group (0.61%) was lower than that in the control group (0.96%), and the rate of excellent events in the study group (2.57%) was higher than that in the control group (0.97%) (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, the satisfaction level of nursing safety in the study group reached 98.81%, which was much higher than in the control group (92.21%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Nursing excellent event management had a positive impact on improving patient care safety satisfaction, reducing the rate of adverse events, and increasing the rate of reporting excellent events. 展开更多

The research purpose is to help hotel marketers figure out how to implement brand communication with brand experience of APP for hotel. Objective:To evaluate the performance of optical genomemapping(OGM)in identifying an inversion located in the short armof chromosome 8(8p,8p23.1),flanked by regions of complex segmental duplication(SD),using the GRCh38 and telomere-to-telomere(T2T)genome references.Methods:We investigated a couple suspected of carrying the 8p23.1 inversion due to a terminal deletion combined with an interstitial duplication of 8p found in their abortus.OGM was performed on both individuals.The data were mapped to the current GRCh38 and the updated T2T genome references,respectively.Results:The 8p23.1 inversion was observed in the female when mapping OGM data to the T2T assembly.In contrast,under the GRCh38 reference,the orientation between the suspected breakpoints within the SD regions could not be distinguished.Additional variants of uncertain significance were also identified in both individuals.Conclusion:Our findings highlight the superiority of the T2T reference in recognizing structural variations involving SD regions.The enhanced SV detection using the T2T reference may contribute to a better understanding of genome instability and human diseases. 展开更多

To editor:Balanced chromosomal rearrangements(BCRs),predominantly reciprocal translocations and inversions represent disease-related structural variations(SVs)that directly disrupt gene structure and function.Moreover,BCRs predispose offspring to unbalanced rearrangements,resulting in adverse pregnancy outcomes.1 The timely and accurate identification of carriers is crucial for minimizing the risk of associated adverse pregnancy outcomes,assessing recurrent risk,and planning appropriate management.Conventional cytogenetic karyotyping serves as the standard first-tier approach for BCR detection,yielding a rate of 2%–4%in the recurrent miscarriage population.2 However,its limited resolution(typically around 5–10 Mb)poses challenges in detecting cryptic BCRs with smaller or similarly banded segments,as well as complex SVs involving multiple chromosomes.Optical genome mapping(OGM),an emerging technology from Bionano Genomics,has a high resolution for detecting nearly all types of genomic SVs and has been recognized as a revolution in next-generation cytogenomic analysis.3,4 A growing number of studies have recently demonstrated the efficiency and superiority of OGM in various clinical settings,including both prenatal and postnatal congenital conditions,as well as various hematological and other malignancies.5–7 Here,we explore the value of OGM in identifying cryptic BCRs using a case series from our clinical practice.This study was approved by the ethics committee of the Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital affiliated with Nanjing University Medical School(no.2021-464-02). 展开更多

Agricultural practices could affect bacterial diversity and community structure by altering soil physical and chemical properties. Straw returning and tillage practices are widely used in agriculture, however, the effects of these agricultural practices on microbiomes are still unclear. In the present study, we compared the 18 bacterial communities of soil with different straw returning and tillage treatment combinations. The V3-V4 regions of the 16S ribosomal RNA were amplified and analyzed by high-throughput sequencing technology. The results showed that the bacterial communities were consistently dominated by Acidobacteria, Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Chloroflexi. Short-term straw returning and tillage practices significantly altered the diversity, relative abundance and functions of the soil microbiome. Soil subjected to rotary tillage and straw returning (RTS) combination possessed the highest bacterial diversity and lowest ratio of G+/G- bacteria, indicating that RTS could be an efficient integrated management system to improve microbiome in the short term. Double verifications based on relative abundance and network analysis, revealed close relationships of Mycobacterium and Methylibium with RTS, indicating they could serve as biomarkers for RTS. Investigating microbial changes under different agricultural practices will provide valuable foundations for land sustainable utilization and increase crop yields. 展开更多
